The Netflix drama’s eight-episode third part, now available to stream in full, picks up with poor Nicholas Scratch still in Lilith’s custody. But as you’ll see, there aren’t any orange jumpsuits in hell. Lilith apparently prefers her prisoners to remain shirtless, which quickly becomes a running theme for Leatherwood in Part 3.
“In the script, it would say ‘Nick comes in shirtless’ all the time, and everybody started making jokes that the script should actually say ‘Nick comes in wearing a shirt’ when he does, because it’s assumed that every other time will be shirtless,” he says. “As each script came out, it was a fun surprise to see what was coming. I’ve learned how to roll with the punches. And the real tough part about always being shirtless is that I have to eat right and work out all the time, because I never know if I’m going to have a shirt or not.”
It probably isn’t too big of a spoiler to reveal that Nick eventually makes his way out of hell, but even when he rejoins the land of the living, he can’t seem to shake the effects of his time in the underworld. His inability to cope with the (literally) hellish experience manifests itself in some pretty sketchy behavior, including — wait for it — partying with sex demons. Again, literally.
“Maybe I’ve done it in a past life, because it felt oddly familiar, but I’m fairly certain this was the first time in this life that I cavorted with sex demons,” Leatherwood says, adding that those particular scenes required a certain level of comfort with his fellow actors.
“When you’re comfortable with each other, you feel more free to explore certain things,” he explains. “I met [the actors playing the sex demons] once before we started shooting, and they were such lovely, warm, open people. There was always open communication, like, ‘Is it OK if I pull your hair here? … Is it OK if I lick your ear?’ You communicate those things so it makes it more technical technical. That way, you’re not in the moment being like, ‘Hey, get your finger out of my mouth!’”
Have you already started binging Part 3? If so, how far have you gotten — and what are your thoughts? Drop ’em all in a comment below.

What started out as a run-of-the-mill occasion descended into an ugly shouting match as scuffles broke out on stage at the pre-fight press conference between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury in Los Angeles.
Tempers erupted when the pair confronted each other during an intense face-off, with Wilder shouting in the Brit’s face, telling him he was going to knock him out while Fury mockingly bobbed and weaved his head in response.
And when members of Wilder and Fury’s respective teams moved in to prevent tempers from boiling over, scuffles broke out among the teams and Fury took off his jacket and shirt as the two protagonists were separated to avoid an ugly clash.
Wednesday’s press conference took place on the three-year anniversary of Fury’s world title-winning performance over Wladimir Klitschko, and the timing wasn’t lost on the Brit.
“It’s my anniversary today,” he told the assembled press. “It’s three years since I went to Germany and kicked Wladimir Klitschko’s arse all over Dusseldorf, and I’ll do the same to Deontay on Saturday.
“I’m here to do a job and enjoy myself, and I hope the boxing fans around the world are going to enjoy this fight as much as I will.”

Wilder started out calm and composed in his opening statement as he revealed his excitement ahead of the contest.
“I can’t wait,” he enthused. “It’s been my saying this whole time: I cannot wait. Time is clicking, it’s boiling down. Can you feel the energy?
“This is a moment I’ve been waiting for my entire career. This is the time, it’s my time. Fury had his time. When he beat Klitschko that was his time, that was his window. Now it’s my time.”
But things started to heat up when the press conference went to the Q&A segment, which quickly descended into a back-and-forth shouting match between the pair.
Before the chaos ensued, Fury said that he was returning to the sport not just as the heavyweight division’s lineal champion, but as a champion for people around the world who deal with mental illness.

The Brit suffered with mental health issues during his time away from the sport. But he explained that now he is back on the world stage, he wants to be an inspiration to those who deal with similar issues every day.
“I stand for more than a championship. I stand here as an ambassador for mental health,” he said.
“I’m the people’s champion. I’ve got millions of people around the world who look up to me and I’m on a mission to inspire these people.”
Then Fury turned up the mental warfare and clearly touched a nerve when he questioned Wilder’s tough-guy image.
“When I look at him I don’t see a bad man, I see a pretender,” said Fury.
“This ain’t an act. I am what I am. A bald-headed, big-bearded hulk of a man. And I didn’t practice to talk like this. I just do it.”
It left Wilder all fired up, as the American turned his sights on Fury as he looked to questioned the Brit’s boxing credentials.
“I was at the Olympics. I medalled. I’ve never seen him in the Olympics, I’ve never seen him medal,” he stated.
“I’ve knocked out every fighter I’ve faced. Why hasn’t he? Why is his ratio so low?
“He didn’t beat Klitschko, Klitschko beat himself. If Klitschko had shown up and thrown more punches he’d have won. Everybody knows that.”
And with the fight just a matter of days away, the defending WBC champion issued a warning to the returning Fury, saying that he’s been ready for their matchup for weeks, and that the smiling adversary he had spent time with during the lead-up to the event was now replaced by a world champion determined to defend his crown.
“So much emotion is running through my body right now. I was ready two weeks ago,” he declared.
“I can’t wait to put these hands on you. When I get in the ring, it’ll be no more Mr. Nice Guy.”

In this edition of Star Wars Bits:
Who hasn’t dreamed of naming their kid after their favorite fictional character? According to this info from Names.org, it looks like Star Wars fans have been doing it for decades. Some of this seems a little suspect – I’m not sure we can personally say all 50,000 kids born with the name Luke since 1970 were named after everyone’s fave green milk guzzling boy – but the 8,000 baby girls named Leia…well we can make a safe bet that those parents were probably very into a galaxy far, far away.
One of the most contentious (and also best) moments in The Last Jedi was when Princess Leia uses the Force to pull herself back to the resistance ship from the cold wilds of space. The moment shouldn’t have shocked fans who weren’t surprised when the Emperor suddenly shot lightning out of his fingers in Return of the Jedi, as the Force often manifests in strange and unexpected ways. CinemaBlend reports that during a recent Q&A, Daisy Ridley spoke about her confusion with the moment. Though many sites tried to paint her as a dissenter, she’s actually just confused as to why Leia was never a Jedi. Aren’t we all, Daisy. Aren’t we all.
The Cantina theme is arguably one of the most iconic pieces of music ever put to film and a young woman realized she could pay homage to it in a most unexpected way. In this video, which has since gone viral, she plays the theme simply by writing out a mathematical formula on a piece of paper. It has to be seen to be believed.
Rian Johnson has been an utter joy throughout the whole The Last Jedi process and now we know that his efforts to keep his script under wraps were equally as charming and also shockingly simple. It turns out that the best thing to do is just stay offline. “I typed Episode VIII out on a MacBook Air. For security it was ‘air-gapped’ – never connected to the internet. I carried it around and used it for nothing except writing the script. I kept it in a safe at Pinewood Studios. I think my producer was constantly horrified I would leave it in a coffee shop,” Johnson told the Washington Post.
Hot Toys is at it again, doubling – or should we say tripling – down on their Boba Fett love with not one, not two, but three different Fett statues. As Nerdist reports, these three figures are incredibly detailed and stand at 1/6 scale. There’s a standard Fett, a deluxe Fett based on pre-production designs, and most excitingly, a statue based on the animated origin of Fett from the Star Wars Holiday Special. Truly something for every Boba Fett fan.
Ever since they appeared on the scene, porgs have split fans down the middle. Cute critters or cynical merchandising ploy? Delicious meal or furry friend? Luckily for segments of the fandom, StarWars.com revealed that there is now a very cute porg-centric Facebook game called Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Porg Invasion. You help get rid of the dastardly cuties as Chewie tries to repair the Millennium Falcon. If you love porgs, then great! You can have fun with them. If you hate them, you can enjoy controlling BB-8 and pretend you’re fatally eradicating them instead of just gently wrangling them!
I should stay out of this but… were ANY aspects of force use in the OT (force grabbing objects, force ghosts, even the jedi mind trick) explicitly “set up” before they happened? I’ll take my answer off air. pic.twitter.com/2dvvZynizE
— Rian Johnson (@rianjohnson) January 12, 2018
Rian Johnson was interjected into a Twitter conversation with our very own big boss Peter Sciretta after a discussion about a lack of foreshadowing for the Force skills shown in The Last Jedi. As always, Rian dealt with the matter with class and very humorous GIF usage.
We always love a bit of creature work in Star Wars Bits, so this great chat from Star Wars Interviews didn’t disappoint, as they sat down Nick Kellington to discuss his role in The Last Jedi. Kellington waxes lyrical about the creation of his Canto Bight character Snook Uccorfay. It’s an exciting insight into an often overlooked part of the film industry.

Black Jewel aims to emulate a c64 art style with its tale of stolen magical jewels and shirtless men with swords who aim to bring them back.
Darkor, unfortunate enough to have been saddled with such an obviously-evil name, has decided to steal the black jewel, and Ryan the Barbarian is having none of it. Even if he has to cross forty levels, striking countless goblins, ogres, and other giants until their skin literally falls off, he’ll bring the gem back. Unless, you know, all of those fire-breathing trees and huge bosses give him some guff.
Black Jewel is a slower-paced action game, with Ryan taking a little bit of time to wind up a swing or a jump, making things feel a bit more strategic rather than slashing away, players will need to take care if they want to return that enchanted jewel. Still, they’ll be gifted with some soothing sounds and charming pixel art that will dredge up many fond memories of the system and games built for it. Just don’t lose YOUR skin while enjoying it all.
Black Jewel is available for $ 1.99 on Steam and Itch.io. For more information on the game and developer Oscar Celestini, you can head to the developer’s site or follow them on YouTube and Twitter.

While things a winding down for the Wii U console as Nintendo move their attentions to the Switch, players are still getting up to mischief.
The most recent would be a fresh mod for beloved Wii U game, Super Smash Bros.
Having recently seen new images released for upcoming Switch title, Super Mario Odyssey, one in particular stuck out to fans.
That would be the one featuring Mario running around a beach wearing just his swimming shorts and hat.
This sparked some much-needed debate around the character, as well as new stream of memes on the subject.
But some fans have taken it one step further by actually building a new mod for the occasion.
The new skin mod mimicking the Super Mario Odyssey trailer is now available unofficially for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U.
The “Shirtless Mario!” mod from SmashingRenders puts Mario in his beach-ready gear and is available to download now.
The skin has been confirmed to work in both the game’s UI and during matches, with a metal version available for those instances as well.
Super Mario Odyssey was given an October 27 release date on Nintendo Switch.
The Nintendo Switch release even contains a special NES surprise for fans of Mario Bros.
During a recent hands-on with the game, it was revealed that levels will be filled with 2D sections when players enter special pipes.
As Mario merges with the wall, players must guide him to the exit, all the while avoiding Bullet Bills, stomping Goombas and collecting coins in classic 2D gameplay.
It’s very similar to The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, which saw Link solve puzzles and reach secret areas by shuffling along walls.
It follows news of another mode currently available online for Nintendo fans.
Super Mario 64 Online is the brand new Super Mario Bros game that won’t be coming to Nintendo Switch.
A few dedicated Super Mario 64 fans have been working to make the N64 favourite available in multiplayer.
The project, titled SM64 Online, is being developed by Kaze Emanuar, Melonspeedruns and Marshivolt.
It gives 24 players the chance to team up and clear classic Super Mario 64 stages, or compete in races and battles.
And it’s not just Mario and Luigi that make an appearance in the game, you can even choose the likes of Waluigi, Rosalina and Yoshi.
His physique much-talked about, you would think the A-list star would be sick of fielding questions but was only too happy to discuss the gruelling regime he had to endure.
Speaking to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show last night, he admitted: “It’s sort of unbelievable to me that what I did for 17 years, I got better at it as the time went on.”
Jackman also joked that the task was a lot more daunting than he’d first believed: “On the first one I thought, you get into shape in three weeks. And I turned up, and the director had pushed all the ‘shirt-off’ scenes to the very end, four months later… Yeah.”
Agreeing with Colbert saying James Mangold, the director, had declared “no one wants to see that”, he added: “He really said, ‘we’re gonna have to hide the camera here’. If you go back and see that movie, there’s some embarrassing shots.”
Colbert, the American chat-show host, wasn’t pulling any punches when he asked the Logan star: “Can we finally look forward to ‘Fat Jackman’?”
The Hollywood actor laughed and shot back: “Thank you for the baguette and the cheese you had up in my room. I thought: ‘this is the beginning, gone! It’s all gone! It’s all here ready to go’”, referring to his buff torso.
He added: “So yes, now I’m eating, and loving it. Sometimes waking up at 2 in the morning JUST to go and have breakfast cereal, you know? And then go back to bed. With it in my lap.”
Logan is next in the line of Marvel’s X-Men films and focuses on a darker, more mature future as the Wolverine attempts escape from a terrifying new villain while taking care of the ailing Professor Xavier. The film was released to rave reviews across the board, and it’s a film Jackman is very proud of.
“It was so much fun,” he beamed. “There was probably eight key people, including the studio, you know, who really believed in doing something a little different.”
Jackman even said he had a part in the character showing a completely different side: “I literally woke up bolt upright at 4 o’clock in the morning, today, two years ago. I kept thinking of The Wrestler and Unforgiven and I thought how cool it would be, to see Wolverine not just taking people out.
“What is it like for the soldier who returns home and tries to find peace with his life? He’s a violent character, and has dark demons. So I rang James Mangold, and he went off and wrote it, and directed this beautiful movie.”
Logan is in cinemas now.
IN THE first episode since President Donald Trump’s inauguration, Saturday Night Live viewers were treated to Beck Bennett as a shirtless Vladimir Putin reassuring American’s: “Don’t worry, I got this. Putty’s going to make everything okay.”
