Epic Games has brought back one of its most popular weekly Fortnite challenges and a lot of fans are trying to complete it. One of the new Week 2 battle pass tasks offers a scavenger hunt to complete, with players instructed to play sheet music on pianos found on the map. Playing the sheet music in Fortnite is the first part of the quest, with Epic Games refining it slightly from last season. In season 6, players had to find the Sheet Music in Pleasant Park before they could play it on the pianos. However, this time Fortnite fans just need to find the pianos, as the sheet music is already available at the locations. Because of these changes, Fortnite fans should know that there are only two parts to this challenge, which will reward them when completed with a Battle Star worth XP. From what has been posted online, players will want to complete each stage of this challenge in different matches. However, this also means finishing the match by dying or earning a Victory Royale against other players. PLAYING PLEASANT PARK SHEET MUSIC Unlike in the past, playing the Pleasant Park sheet music is the first part of the challenge and the easiest part when you know where to look. Fans will want to head over to the B3 map grid to find the first big piano that needs to be played. Players will need to scale the mountain west of Pleasant Park to reach the piano, which will probably be a pretty popular spot. To play the music, you have to step onto the keys in the right order otherwise it won’t count. Fortnite fans need to play E, G, C, D, and E and the piano will play the rest of the tune. After this, you can move onto the second part of the quest, which means relocating to the Lonely Lodge area of the map. PLAYING THE LONELY LODGE PIANO The Lonely Lodge piano will be your next port of call in this Fortnite Season 7 Week 2 Challenge. This will mean heading over to the J5 Map grid location, where the piano can be found. It’s just north of the abandoned hero mansion, making it a little easier to spot among the trees. It’s situated on a cliff near the ocean and includes a slightly longer list of notes that need to be played. Playing the right notes is key, which are currently listed as C, C, C, F, F, F, E, F, G, A, A#, G, and A. If you manage to pull this off you will hear the notes played back to you with the correct pace. After completing both tasks, the player will be rewarded with a new battle star that adds XP to your Battle Pass. It should also be noted that this is an exclusive Battle Pass Challenge, meaning you can only complete it if you have paid for a season 7 battle pass. Fortnite Week 7 Challenges will go live later today in Battle Royale, but it’s hard to tell if they will prove as popular as some of the more recent tasks. Hunting down Fortnite Sheet Music in Pleasant Park and Retail Row, as well as playing it on giant pianos, proved popular with fans. While you have to have a Battle Pass to enjoy it, it was certainly a different style of Scavenger Hunt than fans are used to. And today will see new Week 7 challenges released by Epic Games, replacing the ones that have been completed. FORTNITE WEEK 7 CHALLENGES A new list of Fortnite Week 7 Challenges has been leaked online before their announcement today. Epic Games has been changing things around a little in recent weeks, so there’s a good chance that one or two of these will be different. However, from what we have seen so far, these look to be close to the Fortnite Week 7 Challenges that will be going live today: FREE CHALLENGES BATTLE PASS CHALLENGES Fingers crossed that Fortnite fans won’t have to deforest the island everytime they fly onto the island. There aren’t any new challenge that appears to scream interesting scavenger hunt, but like what was mentioned above, Epic Games could be being sneaky. Some of these challenges may be switched out at the last minute, so it will be worth keeping an eye for the latest news. FIND SHEET MUSIC IN PLEASANT PARK For those who still haven’t completed the “Find a stand with Sheet Music in Pleasant Park” challenge, here are a few pointers. It’s located in the very first house in the central-north area of Pleasant Park, the one that used to be covered in Halloween decorations. Heading to C3 should help you narrow down the location on the map, the house had a giant spider in the garden outside, with the sheet music found on the lower floor. After you complete this, you move onto stage 2 – Play The Sheet Music At A Piano. The Piano can be found pretty close to the house and doesn’t mean a huge amount of travel. It’s on the big hilltop just west of the Halloween house, in the corner of B3 on the map. To play the music, you have to step onto the keys in the order found on the sheet you discovered in Pleasant Park. SHEET MUSIC IN RETAIL ROW Stage three of this challenge is tracking down the Sheet Music in Retail Row, which can be found in a building on the Eastern side of town. This means heading for the 5H marker on the map and looking in the building that is on the right side of the street, second from the last on the block. After interacting with the Sheet Music found in Retail Row, fans will then need to head over to the big piano to play it. It isn’t far from the Sheet Music and is found on a hill just south-east of the shops. This would be on the edge of the I6 marker found on the Fortnite map. After completing all of these stages, the player should be rewarded with 10 battle stars, worth 1,000 XP. New Fortnite challenges have been released by Epic Games and they appear to be some of the most popular among fans for a while. One of the new Week 6 battle pass tasks provides the game’s first scavenger hunt, with players instructed to find sheet music and then play it on pianos found across the map. Finding the sheet music in Fortnite is the first part of the quest and means travelling to select locations. Stage 1 is finding a stand with Sheet Music in Pleasant Park, which is followed by several other steps in the process. There are a total of four parts to this challenge, which will reward the player with a top tier battle star, worth 1,000 XP. It has also been reported that each stage of this challenge must be completed in different matches, meaning you should do each part individually, as well as finish the match by dying or winning. THE PLEASANT PARK SHEET MUSIC Find a stand with Sheet Music in Pleasant Park is the first part of the challenge and the easiest bit to complete when you know where to look. It’s actually located in the very first house in the central-north area of Pleasant Park, the one with the Halloween decorations. Heading to C3 should help you narrow down the location on the map, the house has a giant spider in the garden outside, with the sheet music found on the lower floor. After you complete this, you move onto stage 2 – Play The Sheet Music At A Piano. The Piano can be found pretty close to the house and doesn’t a huge amount of travel. It’s on the big hilltop just west of the Halloween house, in the corner of B3 on the map. To play the music, you have to step onto the keys in the order found on the sheet you discovered in Pleasant Park. After completing this you, move onto stage 3, which means relocating to Retail Row. SHEET MUSIC IN RETAIL ROW The Sheet Music in Retail Row can be found in a building on the Eastern side of town. Playing this Sheet Music is a little harder, and fans will need to start on the right side of the piano where the high notes are. After completing all of these stages, the player should be rewarded with 10 battle stars, worth 1,000 XP. It should be noted that this is a hard Battle Pass Challenge, meaning you can only complete it if you have paid for a season 6 battle pass.

In its quest to lure more users to the flagship Note 9 phones, Samsung imbued its S Pen with many new powers. Now, in addition to letting you scribble on the screen, the stylus serves as a remote trigger for the Note’s camera, letting you launch the app, switch lenses and snap pictures from a distance. But it’s not just a camera remote control. The new S Pen is also a presentation clicker, a track skipper, a pointer and, at its heart, a very good stylus. Thanks to Samsung’s helpful onscreen tips when S Pen remote controls are available, you don’t have to dig very deep to learn how to use them. But there are a few controls you might not even know exist without a trip to the settings menu. And for those who want to get the most out of their S Pen, here’s a quick guide.
Thanks to its new Bluetooth Low Energy module, the S Pen can interact with your phone from up to 30 feet away. The first thing you’ll want to do is make sure you set your handset to alert you when you’ve left the stylus behind. By default, this is activated, but if for some reason yours is disabled, go to the Removal section of the S Pen settings (search for “S Pen” in settings, then go about halfway down the page) and slide the Alarm toggle to the right.
While you’re here, you should also choose what the phone does when you slide the S Pen out of its slot. By default, doing that opens the Air Command suite of tools on the phone, which is something I found annoying. Now that the S Pen is my remote control, I’m not usually looking to write a note or sketch a friend when I remove it. I generally want to take a quick picture or even use the stylus as a cursor instead, and the Air Command interface gets in the way. You might even prefer it if removing the S Pen did nothing. Or, if you’re someone who only uses the S Pen to write notes, then set this to “Create note.”
In fact, if you don’t want to use your stylus as a remote control at all, you can deactivate this altogether by tapping into the S Pen Remote option at the top. On this page, not only can you disable the tool, but you can also delve into deeper refinements.
If you’re not a big shutterbug, you can change the app that launches when holding down the pen button to any other app on your phone. It looks like you can eventually set specific actions too, although none are currently available.
Once you’ve done that, you should also decide what single and double clicks in compatible apps do. Right now, only eight apps on my Note 9 show up in the list with customizable options — Camera, Gallery, Shutter, Media, Chrome, Hancom Office Editor, PowerPoint and Snapchat. In most of these, you can choose from two to five actions for each gesture. For instance, in Media, you can set a single press to Play/Pause, Skip or Do Nothing. It’s not the largest set of choices, but hopefully we’ll see more developers incorporate this feature with time.
All the default options here are pretty useful, so I wouldn’t change most of them. I do recommend tweaking the single press action for Chrome, though. Instead of using it to go back a page (which is easier with the onscreen button), you could set it to scroll down instead — handy for say, reading recipes in the kitchen without smudging the screen.
You should come back to this page every so often, or after you install new apps, to see if more integrations are available. When you’re satisfied, go back to the S Pen settings page and go to “Unlock with S Pen remote.” This is not something everyone will feel comfortable enabling. It will make it so that you can unlock your Note 9 by pressing the S Pen button. It’s useful for when your phone’s fallen asleep during a long presentation or selfie session — you can wake your handset without having to walk over to where you left it.
But there are security issues — someone might be able to use this to access your personal data if they have your phone and the S Pen. To be clear, you’d have to have been using the S Pen as a remote control for this to work, which requires the phone to already be unlocked. It also doesn’t work when the S Pen is out of power. This means there are very few, specific instances when this can be exploited — but it’s still potentially dangerous.
To mitigate this, only turn this setting on when you think you’ll need it — like right before a long presentation, for example. Disable it as soon as you’re done.

The remote controls are neat, but the S Pen is also a great stylus. My favorite feature is Screen Off Memo, which lets you write on the Note even when it’s locked. Samsung color-matched the ink on this feature to the stylus, so a neon yellow S Pen writes in bright yellow ink, while the lavender one shows up in purple.
It looks great on the Screen Off Memo’s black background, but once you save the note to the phone, its background becomes a pale white-ish beige. The bright inks are hard to read on this, and there’s no option to change the background color after the fact. What you can do is turn off the signature color setting so you’ll write in a boring but legible white (which shows up in Notes in black).
The rest of the S Pen settings here will be familiar to Note users — like Air View for previews that pop up when you hover the pen over events in your calendar or pictures in your album. Remember to select your favorite shortcuts on the Air Command circle or disable the floating badge for this altogether if you don’t use this feature often.
The S Pen is really useful as a cursor when you’re editing paragraphs of text or dense spreadsheets on your phone. You can be sure you’ll select exactly what you want to by enabling Pointer, which will show a tiny circle where your S Pen is hovering on the screen. Existing S Pen users will again be familiar with this, but it’s worth pointing out again anyway.
These are some of the tweaks i’ve found most helpful, but you can pick and choose the ones that work for you. The nice thing about the new S Pen features is how customizable they are — you can finetune it to your specific tastes. And if you don’t like any of these functions at all, then you’d honestly be better off with an S9+.

The Department of Homeland Security published a “Myth vs. Fact” document in an attempt to cool the political firestorm around its family separation policy — but it deliberately avoided mentioning its new zero-tolerance policy that is behind the scandal.
The supposed fact check, published on the DHS website on Monday, attempts to debunk 13 “myths” about ongoing family separations at the US border. Its efforts to do so are dubious, however.See the rest of the story at Business Insider

Up until 1958, that’s basically how new car transactions were conducted — minus the actual physical blindfold, of course. Car buyers were expected to pay for a car without truly knowing or understanding the math behind a car’s asking price. It was impossible to know if you’d gotten a great deal.
Enter the window sticker or, as it’s commonly referred to, a new vehicle’s Monroney. This handy sheet of paper is affixed to every single new car, truck, and SUV sold in the U.S. On it, you’ll find a complete explanation about where the car was built, warranty details, a list of engine specifications, what options have been added, the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the car, along with the price of individual options. More recently, official EPA-endorsed fuel mileage data and crash test ratings have been added to the Monroney, helping give car buyers more information when comparing vehicles when making a purchase decision.
So even if you’ve busted your laptop, or your smartphone is blinking red at 1 percent of charge, you still have the trusty Monroney to show you some fixed, comparable numbers so you have some foundation from which to negotiate.
The question now is, who (or what) is Monroney? Almer Stilwell “Mike” Monroney was born in 1902 and served as a U.S. senator from Oklahoma from 1951 until 1969. During his long tenure, Monroney did many things, not least of which was his sponsorship of the Federal Aviation Act of 1958, which helped establish the Federal Aviation Administration. Airline safety wasn’t the only thing on Sen. Monroney’s busy work agenda in 1958, however.
That same year, he sponsored a bill titled the Automobile Information Disclosure Act. At its core, this bill was intended to help consumers understand why the price of a new car was what it was. Until that time, there were no window stickers on cars, no clear and concise explanation about the price and cost of optional extras.
Despite what you might thank about the car buying experience at a typical dealership, this bill wasn’t just about weeding out unscrupulous dealers. In fact, the origins of the bill started with dealerships battling automobile manufacturers, though primarily over the handling of franchises. The Automobile Dealers Day in Court Act, passed in 1956, helped to balance some of the power between dealerships and automakers.
But in the process, the many hidden fees and extraneous expenses being foisted onto consumers by greedy dealers soon took centerstage. That’s when Monroney was tasked with coming up with a solution, to help protect car buyers from fuzzy math or outright fraud when buying a new vehicle.
What was the motivation behind this maneuver? According to this report by The New York Times, in this instance the truth is actually not strangerthan fiction. Sen. Monroney had not been bilked out of money for a new set of whitewall tires, or had a family member suffer the ignominy of overpaying for a pair of fender skirts.
Basically, any wild story about a personal vendetta somehow inspiring the Automobile Information Disclosure Act is simply that: nothing but a story.

The fifth month of the QE-Unwind came to a completion with the release this afternoon of the Fed’s balance sheet for the week ending February 28. The QE-Unwind is progressing like clockwork. Even during the sell-off in early February, the QE-Unwind never missed a beat.
During QE, the Fed acquired Treasury securities and mortgage-backed securities (MBS) guaranteed by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae. During the QE-Unwind, the Fed is shedding those securities. According to its plan, announced last September, the Fed would reduce its holdings of Treasuries and MBS by no more than:See the rest of the story at Business Insider

If you’ve been too busy this week to keep up with health and consumer news, CBC’s Marketplace is here to help.
]]>For example, the eventual line “Some cat was layin’ down some get it on rock ‘n’ roll, he said” originally went, “Some cat was layin down some rock ‘n’ roll, ‘lotta soul, he said.” And by the time Bowie recorded the song for the Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars album, the line “Came back on a wave of phase” had become “Came back like a slow voice on a wave of phase haze.”
You get the idea. The lyric sheet is expected to go for between $ 4,000 and $ 6,000 when it’s sold in Julien’s “Icons and Idols: Rock ‘n’ Roll” auction on November 4. You can check out the full catalogue – which also includes Rod Stewart’s banjo, Jimi Hendrix’s necklace, a check signed by George Harrison, and Frank Zappa’s stuffed poodle – here, and use this as an excuse to enjoy the final version of the song below:
