Appearing on Two spin-off show It Takes Two, Seann told host Zoe Ball he had “messed up” and was the “most angry he had been” backstage.

Seann and Katya have been the only Strictly couple involved in controversy this year after being photographed kissing each other while in other relationships and Katya being married to Neil Jones.

Katya revealed Seann was apologetic for “messing up” and was frustrated he had left the show while “looking like a chimney sweep”.

Seann said: “The dance that she came up with was just amazing. The concept and her being a doll and all of that.

“And, to be honest with you, that’s the most angry I’ve been afterwards, isn’t it?

“Because I thought… I knew the dance and I knew I could do it.

“Like, when I did the Jive, I was walking into it going, ‘This is not gong to work’.”

Seann added: “And I started on Saturday going, ‘We’ve got this!’ and I’ve messed it up. I was really angry at myself.”

Katya chimed in: “He was so gutted. He was going around going, ‘Argh! I can’t believe it. I had it. I’m so sorry’.”

Seann faced Graeme Swann and his professional partner Oti Mabuse in the dreaded dance off.

Both couples performed their routines again, with Graeme and Oti performing their Cha Cha to Thriller by Michael Jackson.

Seann and Katya performed their Viennese Waltz to I Put A Spell On You by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins.

However, it wasn’t to be as Seann and Katya were ultimately given the boot.

Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Graeme and Oti, saying: “I think both couples did the best they could possibly do and it was better than their other performances. But one couple for me had timing issues; the other couple had placement issues but the dance that I liked the most and the couple that I’d like to save is Graeme and Oti.”

Darcey Bussell chose to save Graeme and Oti, saying: “This is always incredible difficult and both couples made mistakes evenly. But for me I will choose the couple that had the highest performance value and that was Graeme and Oti.”

Bruno Tonioli was the third judge to save Graeme and Oti, adding: “It’s a hard one because both of you are far from perfect, we’re not talking Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly but I enjoy you both so I have to go with the couple that made me enjoy the evening more.

“So I have to go for Graeme and Oti.”

With three votes to save Graeme and Oti, head judge Shirley Ballas didn’t have to cast her vote but said she would have saved Graeme and Oti as well.

Shirley said: “I would have kept Graeme and Oti.”

continues on Saturday on One at 7.05pm.

Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Charles Venn and Karen DODGE Seann and Katya kiss question https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-charles-venn-and-karen-dodge-seann-and-katya-kiss-question/ https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-charles-venn-and-karen-dodge-seann-and-katya-kiss-question/#respond Wed, 24 Oct 2018 09:32:19 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-charles-venn-and-karen-dodge-seann-and-katya-kiss-question/

Seann and Katya issued an apology after pictures of the pair kissing were published several weeks ago.

The Strictly Come Dancing pair were both in relationships at the time and so the incident attracted considerable attention.

Today saw their fellow competitors on the BBC contest Charles Venn and Karen Clifton interviewed on Lorraine by Carol Vorderman.

However, the two of them remained pretty tight-lipped on the issue.

Carol said: “I have to ask you about kissgate.”

The pair looked notably coy as they averted their eyes and shared an awkward chuckle.

But Karen quickly took the chance to say they’d been too busy to pay attention to any backstage drama.

“The fact that we’ve been in the bottom two, that’s all we’ve been focusing on.”

She added: “Sometimes it’s really hard to focus on something else thats going on.”

Charles and Karen managed to avoid being in the bottom two last week for the third time in a row on the programme.

The Casualty actor explained how he was left with a feeling of “elation” after hearing he would be making it through to the next round.

He added that in the competition his biggest competition was only himself.

Charles declared: “This is a hackneyed saying but my biggest competition is myself, that’s not brag.

“If you put the kind of pressure on yourself to say ‘I have to measure up to that contestant’ that will affect how I perform. It’s counter productive.

“I will do the best I can.”

While Karen chimed in to say: “If our best gets us through to the next round, amazing.”

Karen also said that Charles was “emotional” as he jokingly pretended to dab at his tears.

“He is very emotional and that’s a side that people don’t see,” she explained.

“Especially Mondays and Tuesdays, they are the hardest days of the week.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.

Strictly Come Dancing: ‘LOVE that boy’ Zoe Ball supports Neil Jones after Seann and Katya https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-love-that-boy-zoe-ball-supports-neil-jones-after-seann-and-katya/ https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-love-that-boy-zoe-ball-supports-neil-jones-after-seann-and-katya/#respond Tue, 16 Oct 2018 19:08:07 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-love-that-boy-zoe-ball-supports-neil-jones-after-seann-and-katya/

Tonight’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing companion series It Takes Two saw choreographer and dancer Neil Jones make his first appearance on the series following the events of the week before last.

Sean, 32, and Katya, 29, were spotted kissing outside a London pub, and as the pictures surfaced a flurry of media attention continued to increase over the couple.

Some viewers were insistent Seann and Katya needed to quit the BBC competition, but others were looking forward to seeing the “drama” unfold during the live shows.

Amongst this, Katya gave a statement apologising to those she’d “hurt”, but was keen to assure viewers her marriage was fine.

Neil, 35, and Katya have been married for the last three years, but Neil has remained quiet since the scandal took place.

Tonight’s show featured Neil performing some dance moves during a VT, where he discussed the “Couples Choice” on the hugely-popular reality series.

Following some impressive leg kicks and arm movements, Neil’s demonstrations came to an end and Zoe was left giggling.

“Neil Jones dancing there in some incredibly tight trousers,” Zoe joked.

In the middle of an interview with Charles Venn and his professional dance partner Karen Clifton, Zoe attempted to carry on but her guests struggled.

Bursting into laughter, Charles fell down onto the sofa as Zoe continued to share her support for the dancer.

Zoe, 47, declared: “Couldn’t move very well, he couldn’t lunge in those could he!

“Love that boy,” she added affectionately.

Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Seann Walsh 'defiant and resilient' with Katya says expert https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-seann-walsh-defiant-and-resilient-with-katya-says-expert/ https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-seann-walsh-defiant-and-resilient-with-katya-says-expert/#respond Sat, 13 Oct 2018 20:17:48 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-seann-walsh-defiant-and-resilient-with-katya-says-expert/

Seann Walsh, 32, and Katya Jones, 29, hit the headlines after being caught kissing in public, despite both being in relationships.

The Strictly couple apologised on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two after Seann’s now-ex-girlfriend Rebecca Humphries wrote an open letter on Twitter.

Katya’s husband, Neil Jones, who is also a Strictly dancer although has no celebrity partner this year, has not yet spoken about the incident.

Seann and Katya have since taken to the floor on tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing to perform the Charleston as their first dance since their passionate embrace last week.

The Charleston is named after the city of Charleston in South Carolina and was a popular dance in the 1920s and 1930s as part of the Lindy Hop movement during the Swing era.

But what did their performance portray in regard to their current relationship together?

Author and body language specialist Judi James told Express.co.uk what their moves really showed.

She said: “From the moment he arrived at the top of the steps to adopt a matador-like pose of machismo and confidence, with his head up, back arched and one arm raised high in the air it was clear Seann had decided to swap his earlier look of contrite apology for something more defiant and resilient.

“It was Seann the comic most of the night, adopting cheesy stretched smiles when the cameras found him on the balcony or rising up and down like a lift behind the other dancers.

“While he seemed to be back to his day job though we saw Katya patting him quickly in a restraining gesture, suggesting she was keener to get him focused on getting a good set of points from the judges.

“Her husband did seem to appear quite predominately on the balcony but always a few paces away from Katya and Seann.

“Their dance was full of comedy along with a few brave lifts.

“Seann did look a bit lacking in focus a couple of times but the judges clearly approved.

“His thumbs up gesture suggested he thought he’d bounced back while Katya’s more suppressed smile suggested she might still see them making it to the finals.”

However, the dance led to the pair receiving favourable scores from the judges with their pizza-themed Charleston dance.

Last week, Judi explained how their body language during the Paso Doble was “clearly aiming to portray passion and chemistry”.

“The pair clearly have something special in terms of rapport,” she explained in regard to their friendship.

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 continues tonight on BBC One at 7.45pm.

Seann Walsh and Katya Jones: Ex-Strictly star Kristina Rihanoff DEFENDS intimacy of job https://briefnews.eu/seann-walsh-and-katya-jones-ex-strictly-star-kristina-rihanoff-defends-intimacy-of-job/ https://briefnews.eu/seann-walsh-and-katya-jones-ex-strictly-star-kristina-rihanoff-defends-intimacy-of-job/#respond Sat, 13 Oct 2018 19:01:18 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/seann-walsh-and-katya-jones-ex-strictly-star-kristina-rihanoff-defends-intimacy-of-job/

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 contestant Seann, 32, and dance partner Katya, 29, have come under fire following a kiss they shared made headlines last week.

After apologising for their “drunken mistake” on social media and It Takes Two with Zoe Ball, 47, ex-Strictly professional Kristina Rihanoff, 41, has spoken out about the situation.

Joining Louise Minchin, 50, and Jon Kay, 49, earlier this morning on BBC Breakfast, Kristina sympathised with couple, discussed the supposed Strictly ‘curse’ and explained how partners get close to one another.

During the conversation, Kristina claimed the pair had suffered a “terrible” week but urged them to “get themselves together” and move on.

“It did happen, you can’t take it away, you can’t go back in time, and what happened, happened.

“In the end of the day they are hired to do a job, they are both under contract and they have to perform. And the show is about dancing, it isn’t about personal life.”

Jon was quick to ask her opinion on whether Seann and Katya were at risk from being eliminated from the competition this weekend because of their behaviour.

“Of course I do believe,” Kristina began. “The public is what the show is all about.

“But I hope people will give them a chance just to perform the dance and perhaps judge on that rather than private lives.”

Louise also brought the supposed Strictly ‘curse’ into the conversation, to which Kristina argued: “I don’t think it does exist”.

“Statistically people get together at work…that’s where we have our relationships develop.

“You must understand, for the professional dancers on the show, it’s a full time job.

“You prepare for the show, you tour. You don’t go anywhere else, you don’t do anything else.”

Kristina also spoke about how a professional dancer and a celebrity contestant can get close to one another, just like in any other working environment.

“I think whether it’s dancing, where you have a partnership, a team, you will develop a strong relationship.

“[The celebrity] is very vulnerable right away, having to learn something new.”

The Russian professional also spoke about her own relationship with Ben Cohen, which sparked when they were partnered up for the eleventh series of Strictly back in 2013.

She defended her relationship stating it “developed after the show”.

“Also I have a family so I can’t really see the connection. Relationships do happen, I’m not the only person to have a second relationship, a second marriage.

“Anything where you have a partnership or teamwork you do have a connection because you have to trust each other. But whether it’s going to anywhere else, we don’t know.

“We can’t really judge because we don’t know what’s happening behind closed doors.”

Tonight viewers will tune in to see Seann and Katya perform the Charleston.

Last week, during Movie Week, the pair scored a combined 32 points from the judges for their Paso Doble.

Can they do better this week?

duo Seann Walsh, 32, and Katya Jones, 29, spoke about their kiss last week on It Takes Two this evening.

The pair apologised for their actions and for any hurt they had caused.

Professional dancer Katya also spoke out about her marriage to fellow Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones.

She told host Zoe Ball: “I apologise to everyone it hurt and it involved.

“I made a mistake and which I am very sorry for, I’m sorry for the hurt I caused.

“You never think about the extent of the damage you are going to do and the mistake that you made.

“I am not perfect, far from it. Our relationship wasn’t perfect.

“That doesn’t mean I wanted it to end the way it finally did. I am very sorry for that.”

The star went on to add: “It is also important for me to say, the people who know me the most, who love, know I am not the person I am being portrayed as.

“I’m still sorry for what I did but it’s very important for me to get that out there.”

Zoe finished the interview after the pair addressed their kiss and quickly moved onto the next segment.

In the wake of the photos, Seann’s then-girlfriend Rebecca Humphries issued a statement where she announced she had broken up with the Strictly Come Dancing hopeful.

Zoe Ball asked the pair about what had happened following the publishing of the pictures and Rebecca’s statement.

Seann became visibly overwhelmed on the BBC Two show as he struggled to choke back tears as his voice wobbled.

“First of all I would rather not be having to address this publicly but I feel like I have to,” he began.

“I made a mistake which I am very sorry for, I’m sorry for the hurt I caused, you never think about he extent of the damage you are going to do in the mistake that you made.

“I am not perfect, far from it. Our relationship wasn’t perfect, that doesn’t mean I wanted it to end the way it finally did,” he continued.

“I am very sorry for that. It is also important for me to say, the people who know me the most, who love me, know I am not the person I am being portrayed as.

“I’m still sorry for what I did but its very important for me to get that out there.”

Addressing the kissing incident, Rebecca posted to her 28,700 Twitter followers: “I was alone at home when Sean texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink.

“We spoke and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on.”

She added: “Despite everything, I hope he gets what he wants from this. I’m not sorry I took the cat.”

Katya, who is married to fellow professional dancer Neil Jones, extended her apologies on the programme.

She told host Zoe: “I apologise to everyone it hurt and it involved.

“But the main thing for me, is me and Neil are fine.

“I’m focussing on my job and doing it as a professionally as I can.”

Katya and Seann both issued separate apologies last Sunday.

Katya told her 53,000 Twitter followers: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks.

“I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship,” she added.

While Seann wrote to his 106,000 followers: “In light of the story in today’s newspaper I would like to offer my sincere apologies for my actions.

“This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry.”

Strictly Come Dancing: Katya Jones and Seann Walsh kiss branded AWKWARD by Piers Morgan https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-katya-jones-and-seann-walsh-kiss-branded-awkward-by-piers-morgan/ https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-katya-jones-and-seann-walsh-kiss-branded-awkward-by-piers-morgan/#respond Mon, 08 Oct 2018 07:31:32 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-katya-jones-and-seann-walsh-kiss-branded-awkward-by-piers-morgan/

Strictly Come Dancing fans were shocked yesterday when Seann Walsh and Katya Jones were spotted kissing while out in public.

The pair were caught in pictures and video getting very close following a night out in London.

Seann and Katya both issued apologies about the event, blaming alcohol for their actions.

Never one to stay quiet, Piers Morgan hit out at the “awkward” moment on Good Morning Britain earlier today.

Piers said this morning: “What is it with the water with Strictly Come Dancing?”

Susanna Reid added: “It’s going to be slightly awkward…”

But with the pair carrying on with the competition, Piers admitted it is going to be slightly more tense.

“Now they have to carry one with each other and we know there is a little more fission in the air.

“This is awkward if you’re one of their partners…” he continued. “You probably wouldn’t want to see this every weekend.”

Piers finished by explaining how alcohol is a “terrible thing”.

Susanna went on to add: “That’s why I’ve given up – and I don’t do terrible things anymore.

“There was no drunken snogging during my time on Strictly.”

Piers took the opportunity to joke about the real reason he has never been on Stickily Come Dancing.

He giggled: “That’s why I wouldn’t do it, those dancers would find me too irresistible.

“This thing of dancing with someone that closely for weeks on end, human nature…

“So many [actors] have affairs because they’re just so intimate with [each other].”

Following on from the pictures, Seann took to Twitter to comment on the pictures: “In light of the story in today’s newspaper I would like to offer my sincere apologies for my actions.

“This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for.”

Katya added: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks.

“I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One at 6.40pm and Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am.

Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Seann Walsh and Katya ‘have something special’, expert claims https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-seann-walsh-and-katya-have-something-special-expert-claims/ https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-seann-walsh-and-katya-have-something-special-expert-claims/#respond Sun, 07 Oct 2018 18:46:33 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-seann-walsh-and-katya-have-something-special-expert-claims/

Seann, 32, and the professional dancer took to the dance floor to show off their latest routine last night, as they made a nod to the film The Matrix during the programme’s movie week.

The dance duo delighted the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 judging panel with the performance, scooping a score of 30 out of a maximum of 40.

The pair were told they had “nailed it” on the dance floor – but what does a body language expert think of their dance moves?

Author and body language specialist Judi James addressed their growing friendship, as she shared her thoughts about the comedian and 29-year-old with Express.co.uk.

“It would be natural to assume Katya and Seann’s growing friendship that translates into shared humour and a relaxed attitude together away from the dance floor would automatically result in an explosion of performed sexual chemistry during the Pasa Doble on the dance floor,” she said.

“But the infamous ‘Curse of Strictly’ doesn’t often work in that way.”

Judi went on to explain that dance partners can find it difficult to convey their close bond from real life while performing their routines.

According to the expert, she said this is usually due to the pair having “heightened levels of self-consciousness”.

She detailed: “Couples that invest in building rapport and empathy off the dance floor can often have a hard time replicating that during the competition.

“That’s usually because their genuine closeness and friendship can cause heightened levels of self-consciousness, meaning it’s frequently the pairings that lack that off-stage spark that can find it easier to act out a congruent-looking sexual sizzle in front of cameras and a live audience.”

Analysing the pair’s performance, Judi insisted that the pair, who are both in relationships, were “clearly aiming to portray passion and chemistry” – due to their outfit choices.

However, Judi discussed how despite this, the expert determined the comedian seemed to be very focused on dancing – rather than conveying any kind of sexual chemistry between the two.

Expanding on what she meant, she said: “Seann’s curls were slicked back to reveal an intensely piercing glare and his legs stuffed into some PVC chaps, but his underlying body language signals suggested he was too busy counting steps and getting his arm positions right to be truly awed by Katya’s seductive gyrations.

“Even his ‘sexy face’ vanished as soon as the number was over, when he stormed out of role to burst out laughing sporting a wide-opened mouth and pointing a Katya to suggest they both found the dance fun and a bit of a success.”

Judi also spotted that the comic concentrated on the next aspect of his routine, while the choreographer threw some sexy shapes.

“Katya’s most seductive moves were during her solo spot when she went off like a fire-cracker but Seann was busy fitting his flying harness at that point rather than joining in,” she said.

Summing up her analysis, the body language expert went on to acknowledge their friendship, as she said that they clearly have “something special”.

“The pair clearly have something special in terms of rapport,” she said. “But Sean’s signals of intense concentration during the dance seemed focused on getting the routine right rather than on Katya.”

Earlier today, Judi also told how Stacey Dooley and her dance partner Kevin Clifton had risked an “emotional disaster” with their Minion-themed routine.

Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Seann Walsh net worth – what is funnyman’s Strictly sum? https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-seann-walsh-net-worth-what-is-funnymans-strictly-sum/ https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-seann-walsh-net-worth-what-is-funnymans-strictly-sum/#respond Wed, 05 Sep 2018 23:23:52 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-seann-walsh-net-worth-what-is-funnymans-strictly-sum/

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 is back with a bang, returning to TV screens this Saturday for the sixteenth series.

Among the fourteen-strong line-up of celebrities is British comedian and television personality Seann Walsh.

Seann was the eighth celebrity to be announced as a contestant, joining the ranks of Katie Piper, Ashley Roberts and Kate Silverton.

Being in the limelight for 12 years, how much is the comedian and funnyman worth?

Seann’s net worth is reported by The Mirror to be around £350,000.

Born in London’s Lewisham, Seann left school with only one GCSE, deciding to turn his attention to the theatre instead of academics.

His career truly began when he performed his first comedy gig in 2006, aged 21.

His show was a success, and by 2009 Seann had won himself several comedy awards, including the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (2009 and Chortle Best Newcomer (2009).

Things only got better for the 32-year-old, with Seann going on to be the resident host at Komedia’s Comic Boom in Brighton.

In 2012, the comedian performed his first show at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, consequentially touring the country with it.

His net worth has accumulated through his appearances on shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week, Celebrity Juice and Family Guy.

This year he joined the sixteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, with his earning potential no doubt set to skyrocket.

Along with appearing on Strictly, Seann is also touring the UK throughout September, October, November and December.

Talking about his appearance on the show, Seann revealed he was “shocked as everyone else” at being chosen to appear on Strictly.

He said: “Having seen videos of me dancing on friends’ phones from the night before, it’s safe to say I’m petrified. I’m really looking forward to the Lycra and the lifts.”

Joining Seann on the show is BBC journalist and newsreader Kate Silverton, who was announced as the eleventh constant last month.

Kate is one of the most recognisable faces on UK television, having presented BBC One’s News at One, News at Six, News at Ten and BBC Weekend news.

With a successful and lucrative career spanning 26 years, how much is Kate Silverton worth?

Kate Silverton began her career at the BBC, working on Look North news before becoming a reporter and presenter at Tyne Tees Television.

Since then Kate had had a long and successful career working in the BBC, on shows such as BBC News at One, Big Cat Diary and presenting the New Year Live coverage in 2008.
