RELATED STORIES

Big Sky‘s Merrilee Legarski might want to hold off on planning a funeral for her husband, Rick… because, as we learn at the end of the series’ winter premiere, he’s not dead!

As viewers will recall, Cassie Dewell fired a bullet into the Montana state trooper’s forehead at the end of the fall finale, right after she found him with the three women he was planning to traffic to Canada. And that’s where Tuesday’s episode picks up, with Legarski bleeding out on the floor of the All In Bar’s basement. He’s transported to the hospital, where he flatlines but is revived yet comatose.

big-sky-recap-season-1-episode-6

Cassie is incredibly shaken by what she’s done; throughout the episode, she (understandably) hovers on the edge of a panic attack. When Jenny arrives on the scene as emergency personnel are seeing to Jerrie, Grace and Danielle, she’s full of hope about Cody. But that’s quickly dashed when Sheriff Tubb’s officers excavate Cody’s truck, with the dead P.I.’s body inside. Jenny screams and falls to her knees in grief, while Cassie looks on and silently cries. (Side note: Even in her deep loss, this woman’s commitment to a detailed braid is commendable. At one point in the hour, even when she’s been sobbing her eyes out at home, Jenny is rocking a plait that would make Elsa jealous.)

At home, Ronald and his mom are freaking out. The police are going to search Legarski’s house to try to link him to the sex-trafficking, and if they find the hidden room where Rick kept all of his records, Ronald is toast. What’s more: Thanks to the recovered victims, the cops know that the other kidnapper is a long-haul trucker with a custom paint job on his vehicle. So Ronald repaints the cab of his truck and messes with the license plate, then hatches a plan to break into the Legarski home to eradicate anything tying him to the crime. (There’s still the rather huge part about Grace, Jerrie and Danielle being able to identify him, but ONE THING AT A TIME, MOTHER!)

big-sky-recap-season-1-episode-6

Jenny and her son, Justin, hold a funeral and memorial service for Cody; the reception afterward includes some warm moments between the widow and Cassie, including when Cassie steps on stage to sing Neil Young’s “Harvest” — Cody’s favorite song — after a choked-up Jenny can’t make it through. Afterward, both women find themselves back at the office. “I never thought it would be you that would help me get through this,” Jenny tells her, and the bonding moment prompts Cassie to offer Jenny Cody’s spot in the private-investigator practice. Jenny scoffs, but eventually agrees — just until the Legarski case is put to bed.

Elsewhere, Jerrie is walking home when a man wearing a baseball cap calls her name and starts chasing her. Turns out, it’s just a guy she knows named Jimmy who “wanted to make sure you were OK.” The dynamic between them is a little unclear — it seems like he likes her, but she tells him the days she could talk to him “are over.” Still, she seems like she might actually like his concern. At her place, though, there’s a note reading “You don’t learn” on the door, harkening back to what Ronald often said to his captives.

World may face ‘low price scenario’ for oil this year if OPEC plan fails, JP Morgan warns https://briefnews.eu/world-may-face-low-price-scenario-for-oil-this-year-if-opec-plan-fails-jp-morgan-warns/ https://briefnews.eu/world-may-face-low-price-scenario-for-oil-this-year-if-opec-plan-fails-jp-morgan-warns/#respond Thu, 03 Jan 2019 09:15:36 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/world-may-face-low-price-scenario-for-oil-this-year-if-opec-plan-fails-jp-morgan-warns/

Global benchmark Brent will remain at around last year’s lowest point in 2019 if OPEC members do not stick to the agreed output cuts, JP Morgan’s head of Asia Pacific oil and gas believes.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allied oil producers sealed a deal on production cuts in early December in an attempt to boost the market. The cartel and its partners agreed to curb crude output by 1.2 million barrels per day (bpd), briefly sending oil prices up, before they slumped to the lowest point in more than a year.

“Well, J.P. Morgan said prior to the OPEC meeting early December, that if OPEC didn’t really cut by more than around 1.2 million barrels per day, and they did just for the first half, (not) for the full year, that we could gravitate toward… our low-oil-price scenario, which is $ 55 Brent for 2019,” JP Morgan’s Scott Darling told CNBC on Wednesday.

Brent was trading down near one percent at $ 54.38 a barrel as of Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, another crude benchmark, West Texas Intermediate (WTI), lost 1.85 percent, trading at $ 45.68.

Brent hit the lowest point since August 2017 on December 25, falling below $ 51 per barrel. It came amid worries about global oversupply that were partly triggered by a US energy agency forecast saying that oil production from seven major American shale basins is expected to surpass 8 million barrels per day by the end of the year. At the same time, the market was spooked by the Federal Reserve’s interest rate hike.

OPEC-Russia alliance to extend oil production cuts if necessary

In December, UAE Energy Minister Suhail al-Mazrouei, who also currently serves as the president of OPEC, said both OPEC and non-OPEC members are ready to extend output cuts for another six months if the recent measures to boost the price of oil fail to boost the crude price.

“If we are required to extend for [another] six months, we will do it… I can assure you an extension will not be a problem,” the minister said, adding that even longer extensions can be considered.

  • A “doomsday” style Brexit could see the country grind to a halt within a fortnight.
  • This is because the Port of Dover would collapse on “day one,” according to scenarios drawn up for David Davis, as reported by The Sunday Times.
  • From there, things just get worse as food would run out “within days” and hospitals would run out of medicine “within weeks.”
  • A spokesman for the Department for Exiting the European Union has dismissed this scenario from becoming reality.

LONDON — A no-deal Brexit could see Britain run out of food within days, according to a “doomsday scenario.”

Waymo Chief Says His Company’s Self-Driving Tech “Would Be Able to Handle” Fatal Uber Crash Scenario https://briefnews.eu/waymo-chief-says-his-companys-self-driving-tech-would-be-able-to-handle-fatal-uber-crash-scenario/ https://briefnews.eu/waymo-chief-says-his-companys-self-driving-tech-would-be-able-to-handle-fatal-uber-crash-scenario/#respond Tue, 27 Mar 2018 10:05:29 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/waymo-chief-says-his-companys-self-driving-tech-would-be-able-to-handle-fatal-uber-crash-scenario/ This March 19, 2018 still image taken from video provided by ABC-15, shows investigators at the scene of a fatal accident involving a self driving Uber car on the street in Tempe, Ariz.

–

Waymo chief executive John Krafcik said he is confident his company’s technology “would be able to handle” a scenario like the one that resulted in a fatal accident involving a self-driving Uber vehicle, the first such death on a public road. Krafcik was speaking Saturday at a National Auto Dealers Association (NADA) convention in Las Vegas just six days after the accident; the ripple effects on automated-vehicle development and the auto industry as a whole are expected to continue for some time. Uber has since suspended its self-driving-vehicle testing across its operations in Tempe, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and Toronto, and Toyota has said it will “temporarily pause” testing of its self-driving systems on public roads in Michigan and California.

–

It’s still unclear why Uber’s automated Volvo XC90 was unable to avoid fatally hitting 49-year-old Elaine Herzberg on March 18 as she crossed a road with her bike in Tempe, Arizona. Tempe police have released camera footage of the crash, and in an inward-facing video of the cockpit, the Uber human backup driver appears distracted and looking down in the moments leading up to the fatal collision with Herzberg. In an outward-facing view of the road ahead, Herzberg is seen with her bike, having crossed at least one lane of the road, just before she is hit. Questions such as why even a basic automated emergency braking system apparently failed to detect Herzberg remain. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.

–

Krafcik told NADA attendees his company has been shaken by what happened in Tempe. “For those of us at Waymo, it was a very sad day, because that was an accident that was in a car that had technology representing the self-driving space,” he said. He said that, at Waymo, “It is that mission of safety and avoiding accidents just like that one that really bring us all together as a company.”

–

Waymo, formerly known as Google’s self-driving-car program, said earlier this year that it has completed more than five million miles of autonomous-vehicle testing on public roads. Krafcik emphasized the company’s automated-vehicle technology goes through rigorous testing before it is deployed on its Chrysler Pacifica minivans.

–

Asked directly if Waymo’s self-driving technology would have reacted differently than Uber’s did in the fatal crash, Krafcik said he wanted to be respectful of the victim and noted that there are still ongoing investigations, but he added: “Based on our knowledge of what we’ve seen so far with that accident, and our own knowledge of the robustness that we’ve designed into our systems, I can say with some confidence that in situations like that one—pedestrians, and in this case a pedestrian bicyclist, or with a bicycle—we have a lot of confidence that our technology would be robust and would be able to handle situations like that.”

–

–

Regardless of how Waymo and Uber may differ technologically, the companies are linked financially in a frenemy sort of way. Waymo sued the ride-hailing company, reportedly for $ 1 billion in damages, alleging it had stolen trade secrets. The two settled in February 2018, giving Waymo a 0.3 percent stake in Uber. With Uber then valued at $ 72 billion, that added up to about a $ 245 million holding.

  • US President Donald Trump made waves on Tuesday by abruptly firing former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and choosing CIA director Mike Pompeo for the spot.
  • Trump said that Tillerson’s departure had much to do with his views on the Iran nuclear deal.
  • Pompeo, like Trump, has a tougher approach to Iran, leaving some experts to believe the US may soon end the deal while others think it’s all rhetoric.
  • At the very least, Pompeo’s appointment will provide a unified front on Trump’s foreign policy message.

With President Donald Trump’s decision to swap out Secretary of State Rex Tillerson for CIA director Mike Pompeo, the status quo in the Middle East could quickly disappear.

Tillerson had been known to tow a cautious line in his foreign policy approach, leading many to criticize his ineffectiveness, but Pompeo has been much more vocal on his hardline approach to global policies, particularly regarding Iran.

Students at a Brooklyn middle school have a “duck and cover: practice drill in preparation for a nuclear attack, 1962.

A botched ballistic missile warning in Hawaii, a canceled nationwide seminar on nuclear casualties, and a president who can’t stop tweeting at North Korea have people thinking about the unthinkable: a nuclear attack on the US.

On Tuesday, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention abruptly canceled a presentation, planned months in advance, called the “Public Health Response to a Nuclear Disaster,” swapping it with a seminar on the flu. The switch followed dozens of news outlets calling attention to the event, as well as Saturday’s terrifying false alarm in Hawaii of an imminent “BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND,” which horrified islanders and nuclear experts alike.

The risk of accidental nuclear war is not hypothetical – accidents have happened in the past, and humans will err a… https://t.co/laAiUOrn8L

Nuclear paranoia, a hallmark of the Cold War, blossomed over the long weekend into another signature of the Trump era. Canada and the US on Tuesday hosted a meeting of foreign ministers in Vancouver to discuss diplomatic measures to rein in North Korea’s nuclear capabilities, which it has been expanding, with alarming success, for a year. On Friday the Huffington Post published a leak of Department of Defense plans to build more nukes. And last month, even as it failed to agree on a budget for the federal government, Congress easily passed an extra $ 4 billion to bolster US missile defenses in Alaska and elsewhere.

How exactly such an attack might play out — or if it is even plausible — divides nuclear security experts questioned by BuzzFeed News. But if it did happen, despite decades of anxiety and seminars and school drills, most Americans wouldn’t know the basics of protecting themselves from fallout. US health authorities would be woefully unequipped to deal with the number and severity of casualties, while the climate effects of a “nuclear autumn” would starve billions.

North Korea right now likely has 10 to 20 small atomic bombs assembled, according to an estimate by the Federation of American Scientists. A leaked Defense Intelligence Agency analysis concluded this summer that North Korea currently has the bomb material for perhaps 60 weapons in all, and has produced miniaturized warheads to launch on missiles. Some analysts view the paranoid North Korean regime as dangerously prone to use these weapons in a misunderstanding of what it views as an imminent US invasion, while others argue that Kim Jung Un is more likely to follow the logic of nuclear deterrence — that nuclear weapons are essentially too dangerous to ever use.

So in the face of this uncertainty, we plan.

DHS / Via ready.gov

The Department of Homeland Security’s “Nuclear Blast” readiness website

In the aftermath of 9/11, nuclear terrorism took center stage in civil defense planning, with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) putting the detonation of an improvised atomic bomb by terrorists at the top of the “National Planning Scenarios” list fundamental to nationwide civil defense and disaster planning. A ballistic missile detonation isn’t on the list.

The Department of Homeland Security’s “Nuclear Blast” readiness website neatly encapsulates this thinking: “The danger of a massive strategic nuclear attack on the United States is predicted by experts to be less likely today,” it tells readers who get past the frightening blast photo on the homepage. “However, terrorism, by nature, is unpredictable.”

In addition to these calls for stocking up on emergency supplies and locating your local fallout shelter, public health officials have for more than a decade produced reports and held seminars similar to Tuesday’s canceled one (the CDC last held one in 2010) to educate medical personnel about nuclear detonations. The advice has centered on how hospitals outside the fallout and blast zones might deal with tens of thousands of victims of burns, crush injuries, and radiation poisoning.

But much of the information in these plans is outdated or irrelevant to North Korea. For example, the National Planning Scenarios assume a detonation equivalent to 10 kilotons in TNT, roughly the size of the blast that destroyed Hiroshima. But in the last year, Kim Jung Un has tested a nuclear bomb at least 10 times larger than that, as well as a ballistic missile with the range to reach the entire continental US.

“When people look really hard at what three 100-kiloton bombs would really do to Washington, DC, they are not going to like it. You cannot imagine there is planning that could account for it,” Jeffrey Lewis of the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies told BuzzFeed News.

“The people who die in the blast will be the lucky ones, against all the people who will die slowly,” he said. “We don’t really want to think about this horror, and a lot of the deeper reasons behind civil defense calls for shelters are as a way to shield ourselves from facing what we are really talking about here.”

In the face of these inadequacies, nuclear weapons experts are publishing their own worst-case scenarios, in the hope that lawmakers will face the gravity of the threat.

In December, for example, Lewis outlined a scenario in the Washington Post for how a panicked North Korea, after shooting down a South Korean airliner amid US military exercises, could unleash its weapons. It would start with short-range missiles landing in Seoul, Tokyo, and Busan, South Korea, followed by long-range missiles landing in New York and outside Washington, DC, killing 2 million people in all. “As it had been in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, the infrastructure to provide medical care was overwhelmed,” he wrote, in this small scenario.

Depending on their exposure, people could die in hours to days from acute radiation poisoning, which kills rapidly dividing cells in the intestines and bone marrow. A massive and swift triage effort from every doctor, hospital, and government authority, as well as civilian volunteers, would be needed to identify possible survivors, Harvard Medical school’s David Weinstock told BuzzFeed News. That made the canceled CDC seminar worthwhile, in his view.

Public education is also important for getting simple basics across, Hans Kristensen of the Federation of American Scientists told BuzzFeed News. If people in a fallout zone stayed in a sealed basement for a few days, exposure to radiation could be significantly reduced.

“Depending on where and how the weapon detonates, the knowledge about basic precautions in the surrounding areas could save a lot of lives,” Kristensen said, particularly since North Korean missiles are not especially accurate.

A more horrifying scenario than the one Lewis envisioned is possible if North Korea continues weapons development over the next five years, Rutgers University atmospheric scientist Alan Robock told BuzzFeed News. It would likely mirror estimates of casualties from a nuclear war between Pakistan and India. Such a war involving about 100 warheads would directly kill 20 million people and starve another billion as smoke and dust would cripple global agriculture for several years, by obscuring sunlight and dropping global temperatures. Robock and his colleagues are starting a $ 3 million effort to fully model the atmospheric effects of a nuclear war between North Korea and the US.

In Robock’s scenario, China or Russia could mistake US missiles headed for North Korea as an attack on their nuclear arsenals, he added, triggering full-scale use of thousands of very powerful hydrogen bombs and wiping out humanity.

Kristensen is more skeptical than Lewis about North Korea quickly developing a warhead that can survive reentry on its way to the East Coast, “although it presumably is only a matter of time before it demonstrates that it can.”

Even though we’re all freaking out about North Korea, he noted, we’ve actually been under nuclear threat from Russia since 1947 and China since 1964. North Korea is a new worry, but not an entirely novel one for civil defense.

“The key is not to blunder into a crisis with overreactions and bluster that escalates to nuclear use,” Kristensen said, “or to conduct a preventive attack on North Korea, which could well cause them to retaliate with nuclear weapons.”

For now, the unidentified emergency management official who triggered the false alert has been reassigned. “I know first-hand how today’s false alarm affected all of us here in Hawaii, and I am sorry for the pain and confusion it caused,” Gov. David Ige said in a statement.

We must also do what we can to demand peace and a de-escalation of tensions with North Korea.
Again, on behalf of… https://t.co/FmY2Ot1AGG

Hawaii had restarted its nuclear alert system in December amid the rising tensions with North Korea.

“Civil defense is weird,” Lewis added. An air of unreality surrounds all the planning and precautions for nuclear war, dating back to the “duck and cover” school drills of the Cold War, suggesting that a threat to all of humanity was somehow winnable.

All the planning for precautions and war games, Lewis said, “has always been a substitute for critical thinking about how not to have nuclear warfare in the first place.” ●

Worst case FIFA scenario avoided in FFA twist https://briefnews.eu/worst-case-fifa-scenario-avoided-in-ffa-twist/ https://briefnews.eu/worst-case-fifa-scenario-avoided-in-ffa-twist/#respond Thu, 07 Dec 2017 00:27:42 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/worst-case-fifa-scenario-avoided-in-ffa-twist/ FOOTBALL Federation Australia chairman Steven Lowy has avoided the sack and a FIFA takeover of the local game after the world governing body agreed to lead bitterly divided stakeholders through more negotiations.

Australia’s warring factions had been waiting nervously on the fate of Lowy and his board after the future of the game’s governance was left in FIFA’s hands.

But FFA received a letter overnight in which FIFA allowed for a “Congress Review Working Group” to be established instead of the expected normalisation committee.

An FFA press release read: “FFA will establish a Congress Review Working Group including all relevant Australia stakeholders with direct support from FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation.

“Officials from FIFA and the AFC will travel to Australia in the New Year to work with FFA and other stakeholders to agree terms of reference for the group including objectives, composition, mandate and timeline.

“FIFA’s Members Association Committee made the decision to support the establishment of the working group at its recent meeting in Zurich where FFA’s efforts to expand its representative Congress were discussed. A resolution to increase representation for the professional game and for women narrowly failed to reach the 75 percent support of Congress members at FFA’s Annual General Meeting on November 30.”

Dirty scenario realized to split Islamic world – Erdogan lashes out at West https://briefnews.eu/dirty-scenario-realized-to-split-islamic-world-erdogan-lashes-out-at-west/ https://briefnews.eu/dirty-scenario-realized-to-split-islamic-world-erdogan-lashes-out-at-west/#respond Wed, 22 Nov 2017 19:11:50 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/dirty-scenario-realized-to-split-islamic-world-erdogan-lashes-out-at-west/

The West is exporting the worst elements to Islamic countries in an attempt to ensure its own future, the Turkish president has said. Recep Tayyip Erdogan claims that islamophobia, neo-Nazism and racism are replacing values such as democracy and human rights in the West.

“Unresponsiveness to the violence that has been going on in Syria for seven years, to the inhumane treatment refugees are subjected to at border gates, and to the genocide of the Rohingya have revealed the true face of the West,” Erdogan said as cited by Anadolu.

“Islamophobia, neo-Nazism, and racism [are] beginning to replace values such as democracy, human rights and freedoms more and more” in the West, he added.

“The West has exported all kinds of sick elements to Islamic nations in an attempt to ensure its own future,” the Turkish leader said. He specifically mentioned Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, Kurdish YPG and the supporters of exiled Turkish cleric Fetullah Gullen – whom Ankara blames for a failed coup attempt last summer – saying that those groups have “transformed our entire region into a large blood bath.”

Erdogan warned that “a scenario is being realized of splitting the Islamic world, Muslims, of destroying their values and, most dangerously, their future.” And the Islamic world, according to Erdogan, has been going through a period of hardship in recent years, “literally an era of instigation.”

Despite being a NATO member and a strong Western ally for decades, Turkey has had tense relations with both the US and the EU in recent years. Among a host of issues, the rift with Washington is mainly characterized by Washington’s unwillingness to extradite Gullen to Turkey, in addition to its support of the Kurdish YPG, which Ankara considers to be an extension of the banned Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK).

Turkish ties with Europe has been compromised by the refugee crisis and the stalled talks on visa free travel for Turks to the EU, which Brussels put on hold, citing Ankara’s refusal to amend its harsh anti-terror laws. Heated words were also exchanged after some European countries, notably, Germany, banned the public appearances of Turkish ministers in the run up to Turkey’s April referendum on constitutional reforms which significantly expanded Erdogan’s powers.

Last week, Turkey blamed NATO for smearing its leaders – past and present – and withdrew its troops from the Trident Javelin drills in Norway after Turkey’s founding father Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and Erdogan were listed as enemies during a computer-assisted exercise. NATO apologized for the incident, which it blamed on a Norwegian civilian contractor who was fired for his anti-Turkish stunt.

‘Not even close to rat’: Facebook AI director believes Terminator scenario unlikely in near future https://briefnews.eu/not-even-close-to-rat-facebook-ai-director-believes-terminator-scenario-unlikely-in-near-future/ https://briefnews.eu/not-even-close-to-rat-facebook-ai-director-believes-terminator-scenario-unlikely-in-near-future/#respond Sat, 28 Oct 2017 03:27:18 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/not-even-close-to-rat-facebook-ai-director-believes-terminator-scenario-unlikely-in-near-future/

While machines keep evolving and even manages to beat humans in certain skills, they are unlikely to gain self-awareness and take over the world in the midterm, as their general intelligence is not even close to that of a rat, the head of Facebook’s AI division has said.

“We’re very far from having machines that can learn the most basic things about the world in the way humans and animals can do,” Yann LeCun said in an interview with the Verge.

Although artificial intelligence has “superhuman performance” in particular areas, “in terms of general intelligence we’re not even close to a rat,” he stated.

While popular culture fuels our fears of computers gaining self-awareness, LeCun emphasized there was “no danger in the immediate or even medium term” of unleashing Skynet. “There are real dangers in the department of AI, real risks, but they’re not Terminator scenarios.”

Despite the breakthroughs in the AI field, such as self-driving cars, software reading and interpreting medical images or Google’s AI defeating world’s master at Go, these are examples of “very narrow intelligences.”

Developed by Google’s AI subsidiary Deep Mind, the program managed to beat the top Go player because it used “reinforcement learning.” The AI basically played “millions of games over the course of a few days or few weeks, which is possibly more than humanity has played at a master level since Go was invented thousands of years ago,” LeCun explained.

To develop a general intelligence, the machines need to learn through building their own internal models of the world, LeCun said, adding that Facebook is interested in getting AI to explore the world by watching movies or reading books.

LeCun believes that the next “big thing” will be virtual assistants that aren’t scripted and “frustrating” to talk with, but truly useful. “But we’re not going to get that unless we can find some way of getting machines to learn how the world works by observation,” he said.

Google Maps: Man caught NAKED a bizarre scenario on Street View https://briefnews.eu/google-maps-man-caught-naked-a-bizarre-scenario-on-street-view/ https://briefnews.eu/google-maps-man-caught-naked-a-bizarre-scenario-on-street-view/#respond Sun, 15 Oct 2017 10:35:07 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/google-maps-man-caught-naked-a-bizarre-scenario-on-street-view/

Google Maps gives users a peak into places around the world that they may never visit.

It also reveals some strange scenarios you have to see to believe.

This image captured by a Google Maps Street View car involves a naked man and his very chiled out dog.

In the image a man, who appears to be wearing no clothes at all, lies in the boot of a convertible car.

The man is either climbing in or out of the boot, it is not clear which.

The scene could almost look like a kidnapping, except that there is no one else in the image – besides a dog that appears to be having a relaxing nap on the drive way.

Some items appear to be strewn on the drive by the left of the car, which could be black bags.

There is an orange bottle also stood by the side of the car.

The man is reaching own into the one side of the boot, as if he is looking for something.

It is possible that the man is doing innocuous repairs to his car, however, the scenarios looks far more depraved at first glance.

The setting seems rather serene, despite the nude man.

Yesterday Express.co.uk reported on a couple who were caught doing something very rude on Google Maps Street View.

The couple have been caught in an intimate scenario that many would prefer remained private.

The couple appeared to be having sex, as the woman in bent over the hood of the car.

What is more, the couple even appear to be waving at the camera.

In another Google Street Maps capture, there appears to be a bloody and gruesome murder.

It looks as though there is a body on the pier and blood on the floor, but there is a simple explanation.
