With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about shows including The Blacklist, Supergirl, Killing Eve and The Voice!

1 | During The Blacklist‘s season finale, did you find those loud, overt transitions between the animation and live-action to be helpful, or too jarring?

2 | How great is the chemistry between Run‘s Laurel and Officer Cloud? Do you want to see more of them in Sunday’s finale?

3 | Seriously, Killing Eve? So Eve’s husband Niko took a pitchfork straight through his throat… and he’s still alive, somehow?

Supergirl Cara Buono4 | At what point during Supergirl‘s crowded season finale did you think, “Wow, there are way too many storylines happening right now”? (Was it when Leviathan decided to reawaken Andrea’s darkness and bring Acrata back into the mix?) And while we love, love, love Alex’s new supersuit, does she really need the Ziggy Stardust eye makeup? Is that supposed to serve as some form of “mask”? Lastly, does the show owe Cara Buono an apology for this outfit?

5 | How did Batwoman‘s Commander Kane plan to explain the Crows’ cold-blooded assassination of the city’s beloved vigilante? Also, who spotted Alphas alum Warren Christie’s name in the opening credits and was waiting to see who he played? (If you didn’t notice his name, did you mistake Christie for Wes Brown?) Also, are you slightly disappointed this means Jensen Ackles can’t be the show’s Batman?

6 | We understand that a virtual broadcast comes with certain limitations, but did American Idol‘s season finale — especially those quick and unceremonious eliminations — feel strangely anti-climactic? Maybe if Ryan Seacrest had bothered to put on a jacket for the occasion?

7 | Shadowhunters fans, did you ever imagine that the short-lived gem would get a shout-out on, of all shows, Family Guy? More importantly, do you think Peter and Lois are bingeing it as we speak?

The Voice8 | How is The Voice not marketing Kelly Clarkson wine goblets? And on Tuesday’s finale, couldn’t Carson Daly have jumped in a little sooner when it was clear we couldn’t hear Blake Shelton’s final words of encouragement to his finalists?

9 | On The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, was the saddest part of Matt and Rudi’s breakup the fact that we never got to hear Rudi — arguably the best singer on the show — croon Whitney Houston’s “Saving All My Love for You”?

Story of Soaps10 | ABC’s The Story of Soaps, hmmmm…. As nice was it was to hear from some Big-Time Primetime Stars, did it lean a bit too much on Bryan Cranston and Jon Hamm (who, what, once auditioned for a soap?) as talking heads? Similarly, with all of the iconic daytime stars that are out there, how did the special come to include Eddie Mills for his four episodes of Dawson’s Creek? Did any daytime fan who tuned in really want to hear Andy Cohen declare soaps “unnecessary” because his Real Housewives pals had supposedly replaced Erica Kane? Finally, why did producers go to such great pains to avoid mentioning NBC’s late, great Santa Barbara, even going so far as to scrub the show from from the listed credits of several alums/talking heads (including exec producer Jill Farren-Phelps and co-star Eileen Davidson)?

Family Guy Video: Meg’s Sex Dream About Santa Claus Is Ho-Ho-Horrifying https://briefnews.eu/family-guy-video-megs-sex-dream-about-santa-claus-is-ho-ho-horrifying/ https://briefnews.eu/family-guy-video-megs-sex-dream-about-santa-claus-is-ho-ho-horrifying/#respond Fri, 13 Dec 2019 18:06:48 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/family-guy-video-megs-sex-dream-about-santa-claus-is-ho-ho-horrifying/

Meg Griffin is on the naughty list this year, which is exactly where Santa Claus wants her. Sunday’s episode of Family Guy (9:30/8:30c) marks the Fox comedy’s annual Christmas episode, and as you’ll see in TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek, it’s just as tasteful as you’d expect.

And because Family Guy never passes up the opportunity to make an ’80s movie reference, Meg greets Santa in her bedroom underneath a neon “Checks Cashed” sign, a la Risky Business.

Mila Kunis’ character develops an erotic interest in Ol’ St. Nick when she takes Stewie to see him at the mall, though the two have very different experiences meeting him. While Meg becomes infatuated with the jolly red guy, Stewie is left “entirely scarred” by the ordeal, turning to Brian for emotional support.

For what it’s worth, Meg’s apparent crush on Santa actually makes a lot of sense, especially when you recall the older men she’s pursued in the past. Local newsman Tom Tucker, former mayor Adam West and perv-next-door Glenn Quagmire have all caught her fancy. She also had a brief fling with Brian, and while she’s technically older than him, we’re choosing to convert his age to dog years.

Hit PLAY on the video above for a haunting first look at Family Guy‘s latest Christmas episode, then drop a comment with your thoughts below.

Santa Clarita Diet season 4 Netflix release date: Will there be another series? https://briefnews.eu/santa-clarita-diet-season-4-netflix-release-date-will-there-be-another-series/ https://briefnews.eu/santa-clarita-diet-season-4-netflix-release-date-will-there-be-another-series/#respond Sat, 30 Mar 2019 16:52:15 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/santa-clarita-diet-season-4-netflix-release-date-will-there-be-another-series/

Santa Clarita Diet season three dropped on Netflix yesterday (Friday, March 29). All 10 episodes of the third series are available to stream and download now and fans have been binge-watching the horror-comedy ever since. Will there be another series of Santa Clarita Diet? Read on to find out.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers about Santa Clarita Diet season 3

Will there be another series of Santa Clarita Diet?

Netflix has not yet confirmed whether there will be another series of Santa Clarita Diet.

A fourth series will depend on the ratings, something which Netflix does not publicly reveal.

The fourth series of Santa Clarita Diet will also depend on show creator Victor Fresco’s decision.

Barrymore’s production company Flower Films is also behind Santa Clarita Diet, so as long as Barrymore is still on board another series is highly likely.

WHERE IS SANTA CLARITA DIET FILMED?

Santa Clarita Diet season three has received mainly positive reviews, so finger’s crossed a fourth season will be picked up.

The horror-comedy series also has an average rating of 7/5.10 on popular review site Rotten Tomatoes.

The critics have also spoken and many have been praising the latest series of Santa Clarita Diet.

Haleigh Foutch from Collider said: “‘Santa Clarita Diet season 3’s delicious delights confirm it’s the best horror comedy on TV.”

Lucy Mangan from The Guardian gave Santa Clarita season three four stars out of five.

Mangan added: “This tasty zomcom is back with more bite.”

Kevin Yeoman from Screenrant said: “Few shows excel at being so unabashedly weird as Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet, and fewer still manage to blend the inherent weirdness of something like, say, a suburban zombie sitcom, with humour that functions outside the immediate predicament of Sheila (played by Drew Barrymore) and Joel (Timothy Olyphant) Hammond — the suburban couple dealing with matters of the undead.”

HOW TO WATCH SANTA CLARITA DIET SEASON 3 ONLINE

The finale of season three also left many unanswered questions and loose ends so it looks likely season four will be on the cards.

For example, is Joel undead like Shiela or has he been overruled by Ball Legs?

Season four will also hopefully explain what Mr Ball Legs actually wants.

Abby and Eric’s relationship took an unexpected turn at the end of season three and viewers are desperate to know what will happen next.

HOW MANY EPISODES ARE IN SANTA CLARITA SEASON 3?

If a fourth season is given the green light, it is likely to premiere in March 2020.

The previous three seasons have been released every year in March since 2017.

News of season three was not revealed until May 2018, so season four could be announced as early as March 2019.

This article will be updated when more information is available.

Suburban zombies are back and ravenous as ever in Santa Clarita Diet S3 trailer https://briefnews.eu/suburban-zombies-are-back-and-ravenous-as-ever-in-santa-clarita-diet-s3-trailer/ https://briefnews.eu/suburban-zombies-are-back-and-ravenous-as-ever-in-santa-clarita-diet-s3-trailer/#respond Tue, 12 Mar 2019 03:45:34 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/suburban-zombies-are-back-and-ravenous-as-ever-in-santa-clarita-diet-s3-trailer/

The family that preys together, stays together. Drew Barrymore and Tim Olyphant star as Sheila and Joel Hammond, real estate agents with a squicky secret, in The Santa Clarita Diet.

We’ve got our first peek at what’s in store for the third season of The Santa Clarita Diet, Netflix’s clever horror-comedy series about zombies in an affluent California suburb. It’s what you’d get if the CW’s hipster comic/horror procedural, iZombie, grew up and moved to the suburbs: same bloody, bonkers humor with more pastels and fake pasted-on smiles.

(Some spoilers for first two seasons below.)

The series centers on Joel and Sheila Hammond (Tim Olyphant and Drew Barrymore, respectively), married real estate agents who find their lives irrevocably altered after Sheila has an extreme upchucking incident while showing a house to prospective clients. She thinks it’s a bad case of food poisoning but soon begins to crave human flesh. The upside: she feels better than she has in years, and her increased libido kick-starts the Hammonds’ previously humdrum sex life into overdrive.

Soap Legend Jed Allan, Santa Barbara's C.C. Capwell, Dead at 84 https://briefnews.eu/soap-legend-jed-allan-santa-barbaras-c-c-capwell-dead-at-84/ https://briefnews.eu/soap-legend-jed-allan-santa-barbaras-c-c-capwell-dead-at-84/#respond Sun, 10 Mar 2019 09:02:50 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/soap-legend-jed-allan-santa-barbaras-c-c-capwell-dead-at-84/

Soap vet Jed Allan, best known for his roles on NBC’s Days of Our Lives and Santa Barbara, died on Saturday. He was 84.

In a Facebook post, Allan’s son, Rick Brown, said the suds vet “died peacefully and was surrounded by his family.”

In the 60s, Allan cut his teeth on the CBS soaps Love of Life and The Secret Storm, before joining Days of Our Lives in 1971 as Don Craig, a character he played for 14 years. In 1986 he landed what would be his most memorable role, that of patriarch C.C. Capwell on the then-fledgling Santa Barbara. He remained with the Emmy winning soap until its final episode in 1993, after which he segued to primetime via a recurring role as Rush Sanders, the father of Ian Ziering’s Steve, on Beverly Hills, 90210.

In 2004, he temporarily took over the role of General Hospital‘s Edward Quartermaine.

A Martinez, who played Allan’s Santa Barbara son-in-law Cruz Castillo, remembered him as “the finest actor… and an even better man,” adding, “He was about family. Protecting his own, and building it in the casts he graced. It was magic to work with him –– his rock solid professionalism giving way to inspired energy once the cameras rolled.”

‘Walmart Santa’ & his family arrested after 2 long-missing kids found buried in their backyard https://briefnews.eu/walmart-santa-his-family-arrested-after-2-long-missing-kids-found-buried-in-their-backyard/ https://briefnews.eu/walmart-santa-his-family-arrested-after-2-long-missing-kids-found-buried-in-their-backyard/#respond Thu, 27 Dec 2018 00:51:11 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/walmart-santa-his-family-arrested-after-2-long-missing-kids-found-buried-in-their-backyard/ Autopsies have confirmed the identities of two children found buried in their family’s Georgia backyard – not seen for months, yet never reported missing by family members, who have now been arrested and held without bail.

Mary Crocker and Elwyn Crocker, Jr. were just 14 when they were last seen in the 2,000-person town of Guyton, and authorities are at a loss as to how their disappearances failed to raise alarms within the close-knit farming community.

The bodies were discovered last Thursday after a 911 call from a tipster concerned about Mary’s whereabouts sent Effingham County sheriff’s deputies to the home of Elwyn Crocker Sr. and family. While several members of the household claimed the girl had run away to live with her mother in South Carolina, their stories did not add up, and deputies spent the night digging up the Crockers’ backyard.

Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Mary was in the ground for “perhaps a few months,” while Elwyn Crocker Jr. had been buried “for maybe as long as two years,” according to Effingham County coroner David Exley, who lamented that the amount of time elapsed since the burials could complicate efforts to determine the causes of the children’s deaths. These dates correspond to the last local sightings of the children – Mary hadn’t been seen since October, while Elwyn was last spotted in 2016.

The entire Crocker family – Elwyn and wife Candice, Candice’s mother Kim Wright and Wright’s boyfriend Roy Anthony Prater – have been charged with first-degree child cruelty and concealing a death. They will likely face further charges and all are being held without bail. Prater was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Elwyn Sr. most recently worked as a Walmart Santa Claus in the neighboring town of Rincon, much to the horror of his neighbors. The dead children’s mother is believed to be homeless in South Carolina, and authorities are still trying to reach her. A special-needs child, believed to be the biological offspring of Elwyn and Candice, was removed from the home by authorities and hospitalized as a precaution.

The Crocker home had previously come to the attention of the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services, though the agency has refused comment and the sheriff’s department was unaware of any cases. Effingham County Sheriff’s Office stated their only interactions with the household involved complaints about their pit bulls. While both children had been enrolled in Effingham County schools, they were withdrawn for home-schooling before they went missing.

Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie said neighbors only approached the investigators with their concerns something was “wrong” in the home when they were already on the scene and digging, and implored those with similar concerns to come forward sooner. “If we can just encourage those folks to give us a call, it could lead us to maybe not having this conclusion,” he said.  The family reportedly kept to themselves, though neighbors recall seeing Mary working in the yard frequently and classmates say her hands were “red” from overwork.

Santa Tracker LIVE: Where in the world is Father Christmas right now? Follow him here https://briefnews.eu/santa-tracker-live-where-in-the-world-is-father-christmas-right-now-follow-him-here/ https://briefnews.eu/santa-tracker-live-where-in-the-world-is-father-christmas-right-now-follow-him-here/#respond Tue, 25 Dec 2018 18:51:00 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/santa-tracker-live-where-in-the-world-is-father-christmas-right-now-follow-him-here/

Christmas is now famously associated with Santa Claus who arrives every year to deliver presents to people all over the world. Boys and girls in the UK will already have had their presents delivered (if they’ve been good all year) but Father Christmas is still in his sleigh heading to countries who are ahead of the UK in different time zones. The NORAD (North American Aerospace Defence Command) Santa Tracker has been following Father Christmas for over 60 years and allows people to see where the red-suited man is throughout Christmas Eve and into Christmas Day.

Tuesday 25 December, 9:58pm

Santa is now winging his way across the Pacific Ocean to Honolulu, Hawaii, US. He’s delivered well over six million presents so far.

Monday 24 December, 4:39pm

Father Christmas is now en route to Kazakhstan, and has delivered close to two million gifts so far. He has a busy night ahead!

Monday 24 December, 3.05pm

Santa has visited Wuhan, China and is now off to Xi’an, China. He has dropped off over 1,200,000,000 presents.

Monday 24 December, 2.35pm

The Great Wall of China was Santa’s last stop-off and now he’s shooting across the sky in his sleigh to Irkutsk Oblast, Russia.

Monday 24 December, 2.12pm

Santa has left Kyoto, Japan and will head next to Yokohama, Japan having delivered well over 970,000,000 gifts.

Monday 24 December, 1.50pm

The tubby toymaker has been sighted in Darwin, Australia and is now en route to Dili, East Timor. He has delivered over 859,000,000 presents.

Monday 24 December, 1.15pm

Father Christmas is heading to Kimbe, Papua New Guinea after a stop off at Yigo, Guam.

Monday 24 December, 12.50pm

Santa Claus was last seen in Kurilsk, Kuril Islands and is heading to Yakutsk, Russia. He has delivered over 559,000,000 presents.

Monday 24 December, 12.20pm

Santa is now on the move. He was last seen in Antarctica and is now heading to Suva, Fiji.

He has delivered well over 409,000,000 presents.

The popular tool uses technologically-advanced satellites to track Santa Claus as he and his reindeers gallop through the skies.

The tradition of NORAD tracking Father Christmas started decades ago after a local shop printed an advert that provided a number that could be used to reach Santa.

However, the number was misprinted and was actually the line for NORAD’s (previously CONAD, Continental Air Defense Command) commander-in-chief’s operation hotline.

The NORAD Santa Tracker is immediately distinguishable for its 3D model of Father Christmas and his reindeer that move in real-time.

The software tells users where Santa was last seen in addition to where he is heading next.

Moreover, the software also has a tally for how many gifts Father Christmas has given out.

Last year Santa’s first stop-off was Papua New Guinea where he delivered an astounding 714,813,526 gifts.

He also visited Sydney and Canberra, Australia; Babeldoab, Palau; Japan; South Korea, Brunei; Macau; Malaysia and India, as well as many more.

Father Christmas has yet to leave the North Pole this year and is most likely checking his list twice to see if people have been naughty or nice before he heads out later today with his sack full of goodies.

Santa’s progress can be followed on a computer, smartphone or tablet using NORAD.

Google has also created an app that will follow the progress of Santa and his sleigh throughout the day and night.

Google Santa Tracker is available to download for free on the Google Play Store but can also be used on desktops via the Google Santa Tracker website.

The application is the perfect way to track the progression of Father Christmas on the go.

The software presents users with a cartoon representation of Santa and will mark the location of places he has already visited.

At the bottom of the screen the app states where Father Christmas currently is in addition to how many gifts he has already delivered.

The app also features a number of games that are perfect for making the wait to Christmas fly by.

Additionally, Google Santa Tracker allows users to make their own elf and decorate them with a troop of accessories.

SANTA DENIER arrested after giving children the ultimate Christmas spoiler https://briefnews.eu/santa-denier-arrested-after-giving-children-the-ultimate-christmas-spoiler/ https://briefnews.eu/santa-denier-arrested-after-giving-children-the-ultimate-christmas-spoiler/#respond Sun, 09 Dec 2018 03:06:07 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/santa-denier-arrested-after-giving-children-the-ultimate-christmas-spoiler/

A 31-year-old Texan has been arrested after telling children at a church breakfast that Santa Claus doesn’t exist, refusing to leave even as police arrived.

In the latest attack on Christmas, a breakfast with Santa event at a church in Cleburne, Texas was disrupted by 3 protesters angry that parents were teaching their children about “fake” Santa.

Holding up anti-Santa placards and shouting less-than-festive slogans, the protesters confronted people arriving, admonishing parents for encouraging belief in Santa and yelling to their children that he doesn’t exist.

31-year-old Aaron Urbanski of Joshua ended up on the law’s naughty list after refusing the church’s demands to leave the premises. When police arrived, Urbanski continued to cause a disturbance, and was arrested for trespassing.

Unfortunately for Aaron, the town’s mayor, Scott Cain, is a man who takes Christmas rather seriously:

A lump of coal might not be the only thing Urbanski has to worry about – considering that, under Texas criminal code, trespassing is a Class B misdemeanor and can result in up to $ 2,000 dollars in fines and 6 months in jail, meaning that he might end up having a very blue christmas indeed.

Bizarrely enough, Urbanski is not the first anti-Santa arrest of the holiday season. In late November, a drunken man in Ontario felt the long Claus of the law, after disrupting a Santa-themed parade yelling that the bearded gift-bringer wasn’t real.

Smarter Grinches, meanwhile, are having an easier time stealing Christmas: like the Nebraska principal with a blanket ban on holiday imagery, or radio stations banning a classic Christmas song for non-conformity with 2018 #MeToo standards.
