Manchester United lost 1-0 to Juventus on Tuesday night thanks to a Paulo Dybala strike.

It was the Red Devils’ first defeat in three games and casts worry over their hopes of reaching the Champions League knockout stage.

Mourinho has caused a storm off the field in recent weeks, while he is the subject of goading from rival fans on the touchline.

And he reacted to Juventus fans shouting “Mourinho s****y man” and “Mourinho son of a b****” last night.

The Portuguese boss heard the chants and raised his three fingers in the direction of the away fans.

It is in reference to the treble – the Serie A title, Coppa Italia and Champions League – won while Inter Milan manager in 2010.

Asked about the salute after the game, Mourinho said: “It’s an obvious response.

“Obviously, they don’t love me. Obviously, the toughest moment for them was our treble (in 2010).

“That’s fine. With players, coaches, club and everything, we have total respect, everything is very cordial.”

Mourinho’s three-finger salute has already been seen this season.

The manager brandished his newly-acquired retort at Chelsea fans during the 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

That was in reference to the three Premier League titles Mourinho won with Chelsea during his two stints in charge of the club.

Mourinho may enjoy reflecting on past glories but his United side need to start getting results suck if he is to remain in the job much longer.

The manager has overseen just one win in United’s last seven games – and that was a dramatic late comeback from two goals down against rock-bottom Newcastle.

Reports in Spain claim , who are set to sack manager Julen Lopetegui.

Lopetegui’s Real beat Plzen 2-1 last night but pressure is mounting on the former Spain boss, who may be axed before Sunday’s Clasico with Barcelona.

“This question is not for me,” Lopetegui said when asked if he thinks he will be sacked.

“We are thinking about preparing for Sunday’s game which is very important, and we will go there with great ambition.”

The Portuguese boss managed Real between 2010 and 2013, winning La Liga once during that spell.

Next up for the Red Devils is a home tie with Everton on Sunday, before a trip to Bournemouth a week later.

They then travel to and Manchester City before the next international break.

While heading for his car, the reporter came across three youngsters – and one of them allegedly spat at him and gestured with his middle finger. Insulted by the obscene gesture, Kruemmling confronted the trio about their behavior near the pedestrian crossing – and this is where the brazen attack happened.

One of the teenagers stabbed the journalist in the stomach, while another performed the Nazi salute, local media reported, citing police. It took some time before Kruemmling realized that he had been stabbed with a knife. “Only later in the car did I notice that my stomach was wet and everything turned red,” he told the Naumburger by phone.

The reporter returned home and called the police before he was taken to hospital. Kruemmling narrowly escaped death, it seems – the paper reported that he sustained a 6cm-deep wound but, fortunately, it did not prove to be life-threatening.

Naumburg, home to some 30,000 people, is located in the eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt. Germany’s east has recently seen a wave of far-right demonstrations triggered by the killing of a 35-year-old German man who was fatally stabbed in the town of Chemnitz.
Germany has seen a sharp rise in the number of violent attacks on journalists throughout the 2018, according to a latest survey by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF).

It said that a total of 28 journalists have suffered 22 verified physical assaults during 2018, while they were photographing, filming, or holding cameras during demonstrations or events.

One of the English fans that was filmed giving Nazi salutes and singing a Hitler song in a bar in the Russian city of Volgograd, the site of a major WWII battle, has been banned from attending games for five years by a UK court.

British police and the Football Association launched a joint investigation after footage emerged online showing English fans performing Nazi salutes, shouting “Sieg Heil” and singing songs glorifying the Third Reich. The video was shot on Monday at a bar in Volgograd, the city known as Stalingrad during World War Two, where more than 2 million people died.

Three men were served notices and appeared before courts in England on Saturday, local media reported. Michael Herbert, 57, was slammed by the ban at Leicester Magistrates’ Court, while David Batty, 58, and Michael Burns, 52, appeared at a hearing in Leeds, but their case was adjourned until Tuesday.

“The disgraceful conduct of the individuals in this video does not represent the values of the majority of English football fans supporting the team in Russia,” the Football Association said in a statement before the hearings.

The song in the video was apparently aimed at fans of Tottenham Hotspur – nicknamed ‘Spurs’ – and it included the lines: “Spurs are on their way to Auschwitz, Hitler’s gonna gas them again.” Apart from the despicable comparison, the song was performed in the city that saw the bloodiest battle of World War Two a few days before June 22, when Germany invaded the then-Soviet Union.

A 31-year-old German man verbally abused and physically attacked a 15-year-old refugee from Afghanistan. He hit the teen in the head, kicked his head on the ground, and performed a Nazi salute in Vogtland, southwestern Saxony.

The incident happened on a train late Saturday, DPA reported. According to witnesses, the man, who boarded the train at a station in Vogtland, near the Czech border, started to verbally insult the Afghan teen and his two Syrian companions.

The assailant made xenophobic statements and performed a Hitler salute. Just before the train reached Jocketa, the suspect punched the Afghan refugee in the head, Die Freie Presse reported.

The teenagers got out of the train at a stop near Plauen, but the man followed them and continued to attack the Afghan boy, hitting him in the head several times with his fist before kicking his head against the ground, according to police.

The teenager was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Police did not give further details on the extent of the injuries. “We want to protect the victim,” Tom Bernhardt, a press secretary of the Saxon State Criminal Police Office, told the newspaper.

Police have classified the assault as a xenophobic attack. The man, who was recorded with 1.9 per mille of alcohol in his blood, is now being investigated for a crime with racist motive. “It is quite likely that a right-radical background is present,” Bernhardt said, adding that the “investigation just began.” The teen was released from the hospital on Monday.

A conductor might have prevented the attack on the Afghan refugee, but only the driver was on the train, and he did not notice anything in the control room, Die Freie Presse reported.

Spanish nationalists protesting the upcoming Catalan referendum have given Nazi salutes during a rally in Spain’s capital.

Some 100 nationalists took to the streets of Madrid Saturday, protesting the Catalan referendum scheduled for October 1, as well demanding the release of a group of their fellow far-right activists from a previous protest.

Some of the protesters have been openly demonstrating the notorious Nazi salute, while demanding that Spain remain a united state.

“They [Catalan independence supporters] want to destroy a millenary nation, and the important thing is the answer of the Spanish people,” one of the protesters told Ruptly.

A Vermont teacher has been fired after being seen showing a group of third grade kids how to perform a Nazi salute.

The long-term substitute teacher had the students give the salute while walking to the cafeteria. It is unknown whether the kids were also goose stepping. The unnamed teacher was immediately fired, local media Seven Days reports.

“The children were standing with their arm out in front of them and the teacher was modeling the position,” school superintendent Ned Kirsch wrote to parents Thursday.

“She then raised her arm slightly and said, ‘And now we say, Heil Hitler,” he added.

“I’m at a loss on the whole thing,” Kirsch told the publication on Friday. “People are shocked. People I’ve spoken to are at a loss for words.”

“It’s not a pattern. [I] never had a report about her, nothing. No one can quite understand what happened.”

It is unclear whether the teacher had Nazi sympathies or was simply demonstrating to students how Nazis saluted during the war. Either way, it was a costly error that lost the teacher her job.

Two Chinese tourists were detained in Berlin for making the straight-armed Hitler salute for photos in front of the Reichstag parliament building, a police spokeswoman said on Sunday.

The holidaymakers were spotted by officers on a routine patrol Saturday snapping smartphone pictures of each other posing with the banned gesture outside the historic landmark in the heart of the German capital.

“A probe on suspicion of using the symbols of anti-constitutional organisations was opened against the two Chinese men, aged 36 and 49,” the spokeswoman told AFP. 

The pair were questioned at a local police station and released after paying 500 euros ($ 589) bail each.

Using the symbols of anti-constitutional organisations, a charge frequently levelled against members of far-right groups, can carry a sentence of up to three years in jail sentence or a fine.

The spokeswoman said the men could leave the country during the investigation and that if a fine is handed down, the bail money they had already paid would likely cover it.

The Reichstag housed the assemblies of the German Empire, the inter-war Weimar Republic and Nazi Germany until it was destroyed by a suspicious fire in 1933.

In the wake of the blaze, Adolf Hitler consolidated his power over Germany, eventually unleashing World War II, which claimed an estimated 20 million lives in Europe, and the Holocaust, in which millions of victims including six million Jews were systematically slaughtered. 

Refurbished after Germany’s 1990 reunification by British architect Norman Foster, who added an iconic glass dome to symbolise open democracy, it has since 1999 housed the lower house of parliament, the Bundestag.

ROGER Federer isn’t just thrilling fans with his magic feats — fellow sporting superstars across the world are also in awe.

Federer crushed injury-hit Marin Cilic 6-3 6-1 6-4 in Sunday’s final to move past Pete Sampras and William Renshaw into sole possession of first place on the list of male Wimbledon champions.

The 35-year-old, who now has 19 Grand Slam titles, is the oldest man to win Wimbledon in the Open era and the first since Bjorn Borg in 1976 to go through the entire tournament without dropping a set.

An emotional Federer described the win as one of the most magical of his career and his sporting peers agreed.

It wasn’t just tennis stars lining up to laud him on social media either, with megastars from football, golf, cricket and more paying tribute.

Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of the Bee Gees saw stars including Celine Dion, Demi Lovato, John Legend and Nick Jonas perform songs from the Bee Gees’ back catalogue alongside the last surviving Gibb brother.

Gibb closed the show, which aired on CBS on Sunday, with renditions of You Should Be Dancing and the group’s signature track Stayin’ Alive. 

John Travolta, who jived through the streets of New York to Stayin’ Alive in the legendary opening scenes of Saturday Night Fever, was on hand to reprise his dance moves and posed for a photo with Gibb, whose trademark blond hairdo had hardly changed since the band’s heyday. 

Saturday Night Fever was almost a very different movie; Robin Gibb, who died in 2012 after suffering complications from colorectal cancer, said in a Bee Gees biography that the band almost turned down the chance to write music for the film.

Earlier this year at the Grammys, Demi Lovato fronted a tribute performance to the Bee Gees to mark the 40th anniversary of the Grammy-winning Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, before performing at the full concert – which was recorded in February – two days later.
