A short, yet chilling tale presents itself in Roses & Heart. Take control of a weary gardener who is just trying to make it to the back exit to pick up a delivery. Unfortunately, things are not as simple as walking over to the door (is it ever?). Use a mysterious rose to summon a helper and solve puzzles to clear your path… But what will your helper want in return?
Using simple controls, Roses & Heart has players completing simple logic puzzles involving buttons, pushing obstacles, and finding pathways with the help of helpers that can be called upon by offering blood to a rose’s thorns. Cheerful! Put your brain to the test in the increasingly difficult challenges and see if you can make it through to the other side in one piece.
Surely this blood price has no downsides, either. That ominous music probably doesn’t mean anything, anyway, right?
You can check out Roses & Heart on Itch.io here! You can also check out the developers, Remyripple and Kyrenon Twitter!

White roses were the must-have accessory on the red carpet at the 60th Annual Grammys on Sunday, January 28. But this wasn’t just a fashion statement.
People attending the awards show wore white roses to take a stand against sexual harassment and show solidarity with the Time’s Up initiative.
The protest wasn’t quite as visible as the nearly universal, all-black dress code at the Golden Globes earlier this month, but it still made a powerful statement.
Here’s how some of music’s biggest stars sported the flower on the red carpet.
If you are a victim of sexual assault, you can visit RAINN or call its hotline at 1-800-656-4673 to receive confidential support from a trained staff member.

Networks faced backlash following the Golden Globes for how they handled the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements. any were saddened to see that hosts neglected to ask any men about their thoughts on Time’s Up.
At tonight’s Grammy Awards, however, E! seemed to take notice of the backlash they received and began asking artists of all gender identities about the white roses and pins they wore in support of the movement. From Nick Jonas to Sam Smith, Seacrest and Rancic had no hesitation asking the artists why they support the movements.
After discussing his music, Ryan Seacrest asked Smith, “I see you with the white rose. What do you hope comes of the conversation after tonight and into the weeks and months to go?”
Smith responded, “I hope we get better and I just hope we keep striving forward towards equality for absolutely everyone in every situation …We need that as a community and the world needs it now.”
When Jonas stopped by the carpet, he told Seacrest, “As a man, it’s important to listen.”
Fans seemed to be happy that male artists were not only wearing white roses but having the chance to speak about the causes.

Nick Jonas showed up on the #GRAMMYs red carpet in a jacket that smells like stale Vesuvio Bakery, a t shirt, jeans, and a dying white rose. No one talk to me the rest of the night.

To his credit, he’s been asking the men.
E! also ensured to ask many women about their thoughts and support of #MeToo and #TimesUp as well. Among those asked were Cyndi Lauper who made sure to mention that “women make up 51% of the workforce and it’s about time we are paid equally.”
Explaining how marginalized she felt amongst the plethora of men in the industry, from other artists to producers, singer Bebe Rexha told E!, “I want to support other girls. I don’t want to compete. I want to uplift and make room for other girls coming in.”

One of the eight women who accused prominent journalist and CBS News host Charlie Rose of unwanted sexual advances in a Monday Washington Post report said that she made her allegations public because she felt remaining anonymous would have made her “complicit” in the abuse that other women experienced.
Kyle Godfrey-Ryan wrote in a Monday Facebook post that when she was first approached by a Post reporter a few weeks ago, she discussed her allegations off the record.
As Rose’s assistant at the “Charlie Rose” show in the mid-2000s, Godfrey-Ryan said that he walked nude in front her at least a dozen times while she worked in his New York home. Rose would allegedly call Godfrey-Ryan, then 21, late at night and early in the morning to tell her his fantasies of watching her swim naked in his pool or ask her about her sex life.
Godfrey-Ryan said that even though she recognized that her former workplace “supported a spectrum of misconduct from unhealthy boundaries to outright physical abuse,” she was initially unwilling to attach her name to an explosive story of sexual misconduct.
“I had no desire to allow my identity to be public in this story,” she wrote. “I do not revisit this time in my life often and I felt no need to take anyone down.”
But after reading excerpts of interviews with other women allegedly victimized by Rose, she had a change of heart.
“These stories helped me reframe my perspective. I felt that by withholding my identity, I was de-legitimatizing the experiences of these other women,” she wrote. “I couldn’t be complicit in what silence meant for them, so I allowed my name to run with the story.”
Godfrey-Ryan was one of two women who were named in the Post story.
Godfrey-Ryan, now the founder of a meditation studio, said she recognized, upon revisiting her experiences working for Rose, how damaged her self-esteem had been when she was younger and how society supports “layers of abuse.”
“When I was in my early 20s my self-worth was decimated, even before working at the show,” she wrote, “and that is a major contributing factor to why I stayed in an abusive situation as long as I did.”
Godfrey-Ryan reported the unwanted touching and sexual advances to Yvette Vega, Rose’s executive producer. But Vega dismissed her concerns, brushing them off as “just Charlie being Charlie.”
“She just made me feel like I was being a dramatic little girl,” Godfrey-Ryan said.
She eventually confided her story to a friend, who also knew Rose. After the friend told Rose about her complaint, Rose fired Godfrey-Ryan, telling her he was embarrassed by the accusations, which he said were unfair.
The former assistant went back to finish college at Columbia University and abandoned her nascent career in journalism.

Anthem of Roses‘s protagonist is only a child, but that won’t stop them from tracking down their missing sister, sneaking around armed guards and danger in order to help bring her to safety and get them both out of the ruins of their home town.
Anthem of Roses offers a bleak world for the child hero to explore, working through a grayscale city filled with tanks, soldiers, and other hazards. Players will need to help the boy stay out of sight, hugging walls or creeping through bushes to keep the armed insurgents from catching him, as he has no way of fighting back. The game aims to capture a sadness and hopelessness with its look and challenge, offering players a chance to feel the protagonist’s plight as they try to bring their sister home.
Players who want to get a feel for the game’s deadly game of hide-and-seek can grab an alpha demo from Itch.io, GameJolt, and IndieDB. The developers are also seeking funding on IndieGoGo.
For more information on Anthem of Roses and developer 4Pillows Interactive, you can head to the game’s site, the developer’s site, or follow them on Facebook and YouTube.

Currently on their Not In This Lifetime…World Tour, Guns N’ Roses are getting ready to play two dates in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on June 16 and 17.
It’s been almost 10 years since Axl Rose, Slash and the gang released their last record, Chinese Democracy.
Meanwhile guitarist Fortus, who joined the band in 2002, has revealed the band is planning a new album.
Speaking with the StageLeft podcast, he said: “We haven’t started recording anything, when I say that, as far as in the studio doing an album.”
He continued: “We’ve been recording a lot of stuff, just ideas, assembling ideas, but not going into a studio and actually tracking a new record.
“It’s sort of too good not to happen at this point, that’s how I feel about it.
“This band is really a force right now, and I definitely hope that we do, and I think we’re all sort of counting on it, and we’re also planning on it.”
Fortus also praised Axl’s skills as a songwriter, adding: “I think the genius of Axl is his ability to assemble songs, from different parts, and make them feel cohesive as a song. I’ve never seen anybody able to do that in the same way.”
Vicky Hamilton said: “The last time I spoke to him [Slash] about it he said it wasn’t happening.
“Considering the last tour Axl was on, he was throwing people out who were wearing top hats and Slash shirts. It was a little bit of a surprise when they got back together for this tour.”
One of the final contenders on Nick’s season, Rachel is now the first black Bachelor/ette in the franchise’s history, and on Monday’s season premiere, she got to choose from a highly diverse crop of 31 single guys. By “diverse,” I mean ethnically, but also maturity-wise… because some of these guys are straight-up clowns.
Let’s get right to the highlights:
THE PRE-TAPES | As usual, a few of the guys get to introduce themselves via pre-taped interviews, including: Kenny — sorry, that’s “The Pretty Boy Pit Bull Kenny King” — the wrestler with a daughter; Blake E. — yes, there are multiple Blakes — the sex-obsessed personal trainer (“Many women have told me about the amazingness of my penis”); and Diggy, the fashion plate who owns 575 (!) pairs of sneakers. But the lowlight is Lucas, henceforth to be known as the “Whaboom” Guy. As far as I can tell, this guy’s entire shtick is yelling the word “Whaboom!” at maximum volume like a frat boy on Red Bull. Sigh… we’re gonna be seeing a lot of this moron, aren’t we?
THE LIMOS | During the limo introductions, Rachel takes an early liking to a few of the guys. The first guy out, Peter, is handsome, and sports a gap in his front teeth — just like Rachel! Bryan the Colombian chiropractor impresses her by speaking a little Spanish. Kenny the wrestler does a fun breakdance arm wave with her. DeMario, one of the guys she met early on “After the Final Rose,” projects a confidence she likes, declaring himself “the number-one seed.” And Lee knows that strumming a bland song on an acoustic guitar is the way to every woman’s heart.
But of course, there are a few clowns who pull ridiculous stunts in order to soak up every millisecond of camera time. Matt shows up in a penguin suit: “I’m gonna waddle right into her heart!” (Ugh.) Brady smashes a huge hunk of ice with a sledgehammer, saying, “I just had to break the ice.” (Groan.) Jonathan, the self-described “Tickle Monster,” subjects poor Rachel to some nonconsensual tickling. (Ew.) And we’re forced to spend more time with Mr. Whaboom, who announces his arrival with a megaphone and comes out wearing a “Whaboom” tank top, complete with hashtag. What a fool.
THE COCKTAIL PARTY | Once all the guys are safely inside the house, Rachel offers a toast to “no regrets.” (A bit late for the guy in the penguin suit, don’t ya think?) Josiah the prosecutor steals her away to open up about his past as a juvenile delinquent. Fred has a past with Rachel: They went to the same school… and she was his camp counselor! Rachel remembers him as a bad boy, “and not in a sexy way.” But Bryan is definitely bringing the sexy: He grabs Rachel for some more Spanish-language seduction — and starts making out with her! She says she didn’t plan on kissing anyone on the first night… but she didn’t seem to hate it, either.
She does hate it, though, when Adam introduces her to his little friend: a creepy doll named Adam Junior. Are you surprised that Adam Junior gets his own confessional where he speaks in French? Then you’ve never watched The Bachelor before! Rachel is thoroughly creeped out by the doll, and rightfully so. Meanwhile, Blake E. calls out Lucas the Whaboom Guy, leading to this classic exchange — Lucas: “I feel that everyone has a little Whaboom in them.” Blake: “I have no Whaboom in me.”
THE FIRST-IMPRESSION ROSE | DeMario and Josiah are both very confident about their chances; Josiah calls Rachel “my wife,” and DeMario is already inviting people to their wedding. But when it comes time for Rachel to hand out the first-impression rose, she passes over both of them in favor of… Bryan, the sexy Colombian chiropractor! Hey, sometimes forcing a kiss on a woman works out! After she pins the rose on his lapel, they make out some more, and a very drunk Mohit spots them, screaming out (hilariously): “No! Keep your mouth away!”
THE ROSE CEREMONY | Rachel has to cut quite a few dudes on the first night — good thing she has plenty of zeroes to choose from! She gives her first rose to gap-toothed Peter, which is a pretty good sign for him. A very confident DeMario gets one, along with Kenny and Josiah. Lee, Diggy and Blake E. stick around, too. She (inexplicably) keeps Jonathan the Tickle Monster, Matt the Penguin Suit Guy and Adam… but not Adam Junior. The final rose goes to… Lucas! He celebrates with (what else?) an extra-loud “Whaboom”! C’mon Rachel, I thought you were smarter than this! I’ll just chalk that one up to ABC executives wanting to stir up some drama. Otherwise, I would lose all respect for Rachel.
Going home: A still-drunk Mohit; some guy named Grant; some guy named Rob; some guy named Kyle; the other Blake; some guy named Jedidiah; and some guy named Milton, who sobs outside in the harsh daylight. (He bought a bunch of outfits he doesn’t get to wear!)
The season preview shows Lee turning into a straight-up villain, one guy’s ex accusing him of sleeping with her just a few weeks before (in front of Rachel!) and maybe a straight-up fistfight among the guys. Let the season begin! Whaaaa… nope, sorry, can’t do it.
Now it’s your turn: Give the Bachelorette premiere a grade in our poll, vote for who you think Rachel’s final pick will be — and then hit the comments for some lively post-show discussion.

The legendary rock band has been having an appropriately ‘rocky’ time Down Under.
Just days ago Gun N’ Roses were held on the plane by airport security when they landed to start the Australianleg of their wolrd tour.
This time, Axl Rose and his band faced a hostile crowd, furious after they made the worst possible gaffe.
Gun N’ Roses had already arrived late on stage, so what happened next was NOT the way to win the crowd over.
The two cities have a huge historical rivalry, which often manifests in heated exchanges during sporting matches between the country’s two biggest centres.
It’s actually suprising frontman Axl Rose can even remmeber which band he is in. let alone which city, after he spent much of last year touring with AC/DC.
After the show, Guns N’ Roses attempted to smooth things over with some snappy tweets to local fans.
Guns N’ Roses wrote: “Melbourne! Accidentally, after 30 years McBob made an error, we’re truly sorry. Thank you for coming out tonight!”
Fortunately, most fans seemed happy to forgive and forget.
The rock legends have now joined fellow seasoned performers like Bruce Springsteen, Robbie Williams and Britney Spears, who have all forgotten which city they were appearing in.
It’s safe to say that after hearing the full story we are rather amused.
However, we sincerely hope that we never see a single member of Guns N’ Roses or AC/DC on a flight, lurking in an airport or, in fact, anywhere near any mode of public transport.
Shortly after arriving in Sydney for the Aussie leg of their world tour, Guns N’ Roses Duff McKagan tweeted that the band had been dramtically held on the plane.
Many people might automatically assume the world of the veteran rockers, but the truth is far crazier.
McKagan tweeted: “Told we had to stay on plane last night in Sydney; ‘airport security’ wanted to do a check.
“We waited. It was Angus Young is an orange vest!”
Somehow the outrageous AC/DC star arranged to pull a prank with, presemeably, the co-operation of the flight crew or airport staff.
Considering how strict the Australians were when Johnny Depp and Amber Heard tried to smuggle their dog into the country, it seems rather extraordinary.
Gun N’ Roses are currently in Australia for a series of concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth but AC/DC recently wrapped their own mammoth tour, so it’s unclear what Young was doing there.
It’s likely he was getting payback for some prank Rose may have played on him while he was standing in for AC/DC singer Brian Johnson. The move was unpopular with many fans but Johnson had been advised by doctors to step back from live shows or risk permanent deafness.
Guns N’ Roses will be back in the UK later this year for two major concerts at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The shows will take place on June 16 and 17.
Assuming, of course, there are no problems at the airport…
