Estrada, who'll become a free agent at the end of the season, allowed four runs on seven hits — including two solo homers — as the Blue Jays fell 5-3 to the Houston Astros to open their final home series of the year.
"It's the worst year I've had," said Estrada, who dropped to 7-14 with the loss. "These last months, it's sucked. It's not the way I wanted to go out.
"I wanted to pitch better for Toronto and unfortunately I didn't. It is what it is. All I can say is I was out there every five days and I gave it [my] all."
Former Toronto closer Roberto Osuna pitched the ninth inning in his return to Rogers Centre, striking out a batter and working around a one-out single to earn his 19th save of the season.
Watch Osuna record his 19th save of the season:
Osuna, who was arrested in May and charged in connection with an alleged domestic incident, was met with a chorus of boos from the 23,463 fans when he was announced into the game — and as he threw each pitch.
The 23-year-old right-hander was suspended without pay for 75 games in June for violating Major League Baseball's domestic violence policy and traded to Houston at the deadline a month later.
Estrada didn't want to talk about Osuna or his reception after the game.
"No, I don't know. It is what it is," Estrada said.
#BlueJays fans are booing Roberto Osuna between pitches pic.twitter.com/RKTaDwFon6
—@bnicholsonsmith
Osuna declined to speak to reporters after the game on the advice of his lawyer.
"I think he wanted the ball like he always does," said Houston manager A.J. Hinch. "I'm sure it was emotional for him.
"It was pretty expected."
Osuna's court case is scheduled to continue Tuesday in Toronto.
Some of Osuna's former teammates greeted him on the field during batting practice with hugs and handshakes. Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said it was "real weird" to see Osuna in another uniform.
"Kind of mixed emotions but I knew there was a good chance he was probably going to get [the save]. I've seen him do it too many times."
Brian McCann and Josh Reddick homered for the Astros (99-57). Alex Bregman, Jose Altuve, and Yuli Gurriel, in his first pro game against his brother and Toronto shortstop Lourdes Gurriel Jr., also drove in runs.
The brotherly matchup didn't last long — Lourdes left the game with left hamstring tightness after grounding into a double play in the first inning.
Dallas Keuchel (12-11) allowed three runs and seven hits while walking three and striking out five over five innings.
Estrada, who's winless in his last six starts, lasted just 4 2/3 innings and also had a walk and a strikeout. He received an ovation from the crowd when he was pulled from the game in the fifth with two runners on base.

"I don't know what's going to happen next year but I gave [the fans] a quick thank you," Estrada said. "They've always been behind me, they're the greatest fans ever. How can I not be thankful?
"Hopefully it's not my last [start] here but if it is I'm thankful for everything the fans have given me, for their support. I love it here, I love Toronto and I love the fans."
Gibbons said his timing of pulling Estrada "had nothing to do with" wanting to give him a chance to salute the crowd.
"We had the lefties coming up and the game could have swung there with two guys on base," he said. "I'm sentimental but not that sentimental."
Kevin Pillar hit a two-run homer for the Blue Jays (71-86) and Yangervis Solarte drove in a run.
Yuli Gurriel plated the first run in the first inning, extending his hit streak to 10 games with an RBI single, and Houston hit back-to-back solo shots in the second inning to bring the lead to 3-0.
Bregman's double put the Astros up 4-0 in the third, but Pillar replied with a two-run shot in the fourth, sending the ball into the left-field seats to halve the deficit.
The Jays tacked on another run in the fifth but failed to take full advantage of a bases-loaded situation with no outs. Keuchel, hindered by a throwing error from J.D. Davis at third, loaded the bases with two singles and a walk before Solarte's run-scoring hit. But Justin Smoak struck out on a borderline pitch with a full count, Randal Grichuk grounded out and Pillar went down swinging to end the frame.
Altuve hit an RBI single off Joe Biagini in the ninth.

A year ago, Stefanos Tsitsipas wasn't even at the Rogers Cup in Montreal. His ranking wasn't high enough to earn a spot in the main draw nor was he awarded a wild card.
Instead, he was halfway across the world in Slovenia grinding away on the ATP Challenger circuit — a tier below the main tour — trying to build his ranking and gain match play.
Meanwhile, another teen — Denis Shapovalov — was making a name for himself by knocking down Grand Slam champions Rafael Nadal and Juan Martin del Potro on his home soil.
Click on the video player below to learn more about Canada's Shapovalov:
All of that wasn't lost on Tsitsipas as he caught each of the Canadian's matches on television during his thrilling semifinal run.
"It inspired me so much. I was dreaming of being in his place," says Tsitsipas, who beat four players in the top 10 en route to the Rogers Cup final. "It was so inspirational to see him beat those guys. To me, it seemed completely out of any world what he was doing on the court and now I understand that it is more simple and less complicated than it looks. I just had to believe in myself and feel confident playing those guys."
While the "Big Four" of Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray have dominated the Grand Slams, the next generation is slowly creeping in.
Germany's Alexander Zverev, 21, already has three Masters 1000 titles to his name while Frances Tiafoe, 20, of the United States upset Milos Raonic in the second round of last week's Rogers Cup.
Last year, the ATP held the inaugural year end Next Gen ATP Finals tournament featuring the top male players aged 21 and under. This season, seven players from that group are ranked within the world's top 50.
In the same way that a fire was lit for Tsitsipas, perhaps Shapovalov and fellow rising Canadian star, Felix Auger-Aliassime, can use the Greek phenom's Rogers Cup final run as their own fuel.
"You have guys like Zverev, me, [Andrey] Rublev, and Frances [Tiafoe] — all these young guys coming up that are breaking into the top 30s and 50s. It's unbelievable where the tennis level is at now," Shapovalov says. "I feel like the young generation — we all kind of push each other because we're all so motivated. We want to play every week and do better than each other. So it's a really healthy rivalry, and I feel that's why we've all come so far in such a short period of time."
Tsitsipas' own rise was helped by using his previous losses to Shapovalov and Auger-Aliassime as motivation.
The trio are familiar with one another having risen through the junior ranks together. Shapovalov was 2-1 against Tsitsipas — both wins coming in 2016 at the quarters of the junior French Open and semis of the junior Wimbledon tournament, respectively.
Auger-Aliassime was 3-0 against Tsitsipas, including a 6-4, 7-5 victory also in 2016 in the junior boys U.S. Open semis during which Tsitsipas was the world's top-ranked junior.
"I remember we had really tough battles. We faced each other many times in juniors and it helped me become better by playing those guys," Tsitsipas recalls.
At the pro level, Tsitsipas has played only Shapovalov, with both meetings coming this season.
In January, a straight-sets loss to Shapovalov in the first round of the Australian Open served as an early wake up call for Tsitsipas.
The 20-year-old realized that he needed to be physically stronger in order to withstand tough battles and hold his own against the game's best. When Tsitsipas and Shapovalov met again at the Monte Carlo Masters tournament last April, it was Tsitsipas who prevailed and he credits their previous showdown for his improved performance and confidence.
"To be honest with you, I was not prepared for that match at the Australian Open. When it came to technical issues that I had in that match, he was simply much better and deserved that win," Tsitsipas says.
Last month, Auger-Aliassime lost a tight three-set match to the 37th-ranked Rublev at the Croatia Open after being up an early break in the final set.
A little less than three weeks later, the Montreal native defeated world No.18 Lucas Pouille in his Rogers Cup main draw debut for his first career victory over a top-20 player.
The 18-year-old shined in crucial moments saving five of six break points, including a love-40 situation in just the third game of the match.
"I was close a few weeks ago against Rublev. It's kind of a statement for me to win these matches, to prove to myself and others that I can compete with these guys — that I have the level to be there, to compete in the top 100," Auger-Aliassime said.
Auger-Aliassime is currently ranked 120th and will need to earn his way into the U.S. Open main draw through qualifying.
It's certainly not out of the question and from there, who knows what happens? Just ask Shapovalov, who rode that momentum to the round of 16.

Nadal continues his Rogers Cup campaign tonight (1am UK time) with a quarter-final tie against sixth seed Marin Cilic.
The World No 1 has seen off Stan Wawrinka and Benoit Paire as he bids for his fourth success and first since 2013 in Toronto.
Nadal is looking to bounce back from losing the semi-finals at Wimbledon last month while the 17-time Grand Slam champion can also move further ahead of rival Roger Federer in the ATP standings with a strong run in the Canadian tournament.
Cilic has seen off compatriot Borna Coric and Diego Schwartzman and looked in strong form having won 12 of his last 14 matches.
Nadal has won five of his seven meetings with Cilic with the Croatian having taken a victory by virtue of Nadal’s injury-enforced retirement in the Australian Open quarter-finals back in January.
The 31-year-old Spaniard has lost just three matches since returning from injury at the Davis Cup in April having stormed to four of an available six titles across the clay and grass seasons.
Cilic is looking to reach the semi-finals for the first time ever as he targets a first title since the 2016 Cincinnati Masters and Nadal has acknowledged he must be at his best.
“The first thing that I need to do well is play my best tennis,” Nadal said previewing his contest with Cilic.
“Without playing well it will be impossible.
“Quarter-finals after two good victories, tomorrow is the day to play a little bit better and that’s what I’m going to try.”
But how can you watch as Nadal bids to reach the final four for the first time since he last won the tournament?
Sky Sports will be broadcasting every match live from the Rogers Cup and their Arena channel (Sky channel 408) will show all of the action.
Today’s play gets underway at 4pm on Sky Sports Arena – but Nadal and Cilic are not due on court until at least 11am (BST) following the other quarter-final between Robin Haase and Karen Khachanov.
Kevin Anderson and Stefans Tsitsipas have already booked their places in the semis, with the Greek having downed defending champion Alexander Zverev after eliminating Wimbledon winner Novak Djokovic.
Sky’s coverage means all the action can be followed on your desktop or laptop via the Sky Go app, which if you’re an existing customer, is also available on iOS and Android smartphone and tablet devices.
Sky Go is also available on a number of platforms including Amazon Fire devices, iPad, Mac computers and laptops, Playstation 3, PS4 and Xbox One.
The Sky Sports app, available to download on iOS and Android devices, will also be providing live text coverage and updates.
If you’re not currently a Sky Sports customer but can’t stand to miss out on the action, you can add the channels to your box via a NOW TV subscription.
Day passes, which let you add Sky Sports channels for 24 hours, cost £7.99 a day, with a weekly pass priced at £12.99 and no locking into a contract.
NOW TV doesn’t even require a typical television to use, as it is also available on a NOW TV Box, Chromecast, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Roku, LG Smart TV, PC or Mac, and selected mobile and tablet devices.
After beating a Top-20 opponent for the first time in his career Tuesday, the Montreal teenager is doing what he can to make his name more memorable.
Auger-Aliassime (pronounced oh-ZHAY ah-lee-ah-SEEM) upset Lucas Pouille of France 6-4, 6-3 at the Rogers Cup, cruising into the second round of the tournament in his main draw singles debut.
Still beaming after the biggest win of his career, Auger-Aliassime explained the origin of his name to reporters, detailing how his father, an African immigrant, insisted that his mother's French name be included to give Felix more recognition in Quebec.
"I hear all kinds of [pronunciations], like obviously in English 'ogre' is always present," Auger-Aliassime said with a laugh.
"But no, it doesn't really matter if people mispronounce."
Auger-Aliassime, who reached a career-high No. 133 world ranking heading into the week, needed just one hour 18 minutes to down the No. 18 Pouille on centre court at Aviva Centre.
The Canadian wild card saved 5-of-6 break points and converted on 3-of-6. He also fired five aces — including four in the second set alone — and won 73 per cent of his first service points.
It was his second career win at a Masters 1000 event and first since an opening-round victory at Indian Wells against fellow Canadian Vasek Pospisil in April that made him the first player born in the 21st century to win an ATP Tour-level match.
Auger-Aliassime, 17 until Wednesday, said he hasn't had much time to think about how he'll be celebrating his 18th birthday — aside from playing Russian qualifier Daniil Medvedev in the second round, again on centre court.
"It's funny because I was thinking about it the whole year. I was like, 'OK like, this year I'm turning 18. … it's all exciting,"' Auger-Aliassime said. "I had plans for my birthday. And now that the tournament is here, it's like I have another priority."
Auger-Aliassime started Tuesday's match strong, breaking Pouille in the second game of the first set, then fighting off triple break point for a 3-0 lead.
Pouille broke Auger-Aliassime while he was serving for the set at 5-3, but the youngster bounced back with another break for set point, letting out an approving roar as fans waved Canada flags in the seats.
He converted a break in the second set and held serve the rest of the way.
"I was able to hang in there and get those key games," said Auger-Aliassime, who began the year ranked 161st.
Auger-Aliassime lost in the qualifying round at the Rogers Cup in Toronto in 2016 and had to withdraw his wild card entry to the 2017 tournament in Montreal with a left wrist injury.
The breakout star from last year's Rogers Cup, 19-year-old Denis Shapovalov of Richmond Hill, Ont., also advanced to the second round, defeating No. 46 Jeremy Chardy of France 6-1, 6-4 in the night match on centre court after watching Auger-Aliassime's victory from the locker room.

"In a way he really pumped me up with his win. I was like, 'OK let's make it back to back and have two Canadians advance to the second round," Shapovalov said. "I'm really happy. It's a good day for Canadian tennis."
Shapovalov won 80 per cent of his first service points, converted on three-of-five break points and was never broken throughout the match, which lasted just over an hour.
The top-ranked Canadian in the men's singles draw at No. 26, Shapovalov let out an emphatic yell when he sealed the victory in front of a cheering home crowd that included Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid.
He will play 14th-seeded Italian Fabio Fognini in the second round Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier in the day, four-time champion Novak Djokovic advanced to the second round with a 6-3, 7-6 (7) win over lucky loser Mirza Basic, and former world No. 3 Stan Wawrinka came back to beat 16th-seed Nick Kyrgios 1-6, 7-5, 7-5.
Djokovic, the ninth seed in Toronto, last won the Rogers Cup in 2016 and is coming off a win at Wimbledon this year. He will next face wild-card Peter Polansky of Thornhill, Ont.
Djokovic began his tournament a night earlier, teaming up with Wimbledon runner-up Kevin Anderson to defeat Auger-Aliassime and Shapovalov in a first-round doubles match.
"Felix, you know, he's not even 18 and playing at this stage and showing some dedication on the court and willpower, which is quite nice to see and refreshing," Djokovic said. "We want to see young players playing well and challenging the best players in the world."
Wawrinka, a three-time Grand Slam champion, came into the tournament ranked 195th in the world as he looks to get back into form following knee surgery.
In another first-round upset, Robin Haase of the Netherlands downed Japan's Kei Nishikori 7-5, 6-1. Americans Sam Querrey, Frances Tiafoe and Ryan Harrison joined Russia's Karen Khachanov and Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas as other first-round winners. Tiafoe will face Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ont., in the second round Wednesday.

Canadian Peter Polansky has advanced to the second round of the Rogers Cup with a 7-6 (3), 6-4 straight-sets victory over Matthew Ebden of Australia.
Polansky of Thornhill, Ont., squeaked out a victory in the first set, coming out on top of a tiebreak 7-3.
He was 2-8 in tiebreaks at Masters tournaments before Monday's win. Polansky said the victory gave him a boost heading into the second.
"It was actually really big. He was serving great and I wasn't expecting to go up by so much early on, I think I was up 4-2 or 5-2," he recalled.
"I thought there would be more pressure on my service points because he was holding so easily. It was big to get that tiebreak and get the momentum and take the lead early on to put pressure on in the second set."
The 30-year-old, who is ranked No. 121 in the world, also took a close second set, which had plenty of back-and-forth action including a seventh game with seven deuces before Polansky held serve.
Polansky finished the match with six aces to Ebden's 12, who is ranked 52nd.
But Polansky won 83 per cent of his first-serve points and 62 per cent off his second serve.
Edben had defeated Polansky is two prior matchups, including in the first round of the Rogers Cup in 2012 and at the Memphis Open last year.
Polansky will face winner of a match between 10th-ranked and four-time Rogers Cup winner Novak Djokovic and Hyeon Chung of South Korea.
Polansky has never advanced past the second round of the Rogers Cup.
In other men's first-round action, Benoit Paire of France downed Jared Donaldson 6-3, 6-4 and Ilya Ivashka of Belarus defeated Yuichi Sugita of Japan 6-2, 6-3.

Milos Raonic is heading into this year's Rogers Cup in a different position than the one he's become accustomed to over the last few years.
Supplanted by teenager Denis Shapovalov as the top-ranked Canadian in the men's singles draw, there's suddenly a lot less outside pressure on the Thornhill, Ont., product to succeed in the lone ATP Masters event on home soil.
But Raonic, who ranked as high as No. 3 in the world two years ago, said he never felt expected to carry Canadian tennis on his shoulders anyway.
"It's fun to have other guys doing well but it's never been a burden, it's never been anything," Raonic said Sunday. "It's just been me doing the best I can in every situation that's ahead of me.
"It's definitely a lot of fun to have [Shapovalov and fellow up-and-comer Felix Auger-Aliassime] around doing well, to see them coming up and coming up quickly. But I don't think it's made any sense of a direct impact in any way of making something easier."
Raonic, now ranked 30th on the ATP standings, begins his Rogers Cup tournament Monday night against 10th-seeded David Goffin of Belgium.
The 19-year-old Shapovalov (No. 26) starts Tuesday night against France's Jeremy Chardy while wild card Montrealer Auger-Aliassime (No. 134), who'll turn 18 this week, takes on Lucas Pouille of France in his Rogers Cup main draw debut.
Raonic last played Goffin in Madrid in 2017, losing in straight sets in the third round. But he also had one of his best matches of his career against Goffin, rallying from two sets down to beat him in the Round of 16 at Wimbledon in 2016.
It's been an up-and-down road for Roanic since then, with a rash of injuries — including a quad tear at Wimbledon last month — sending him tumbling down the world rankings.
He hasn't competed since Wimbledon but said Sunday he's felt great over two weeks of practising in Toronto.
"I guess one of the things I've had the luxury of is being hurt quite a few times so I have that experience," Raonic said, drawing a few laughs from reporters. "I know how to reset."
Shapovalov has only faced Chardy once, beating him in the first round at Wimbledon this season. But he called that victory a confidence booster heading into Tuesday's match.
The crowd should help ease any nerves, too.
"I always tend to bring out a good game at home when I'm playing either in Montreal or Toronto," Shapovalov said. "So I'm fairly confident with my game right now."
This will be Shapovalov's second time in the main draw at a Rogers Cup in Toronto (he made it to the second round of the 2016 tournament), but first since his breakout season last year that saw him skyrocket up the standings after a semifinal loss to eventual champion Alex Zverev of Germany in the Montreal event.
And Shapovalov said he's only improved in the year since.
"I feel more comfortable out there with really anybody," he said. "I feel like I can beat any player with a good game. I don't have to play out of my league."
Shapovalov, who grew up in nearby Richmond Hill, Ont. — roughly a 20-minute drive from Toronto's Rogers Cup home on the York University campus — remembers watching his favourite players compete here as a kid. His favourite memory was at the 2014 tournament when he worked as a hitting partner for Roger Federer, warming him up before his semifinal win against Feliciano Lopez on Centre Court.
Two days before competing on that same court, Shapovalov said he's trying not to think about the hype that comes with being the top ranked Canadian at the tournament.
"For me the most important thing is my game, it's improving, it's getting better," he said. "So I don't really try to focus on anything outside that."
Raonic will be competing in his 10th Rogers Cup — and sixth in Toronto — and said the excitement of playing in his hometown tournament hasn't worn off.
Nor does he expect it to.
"I always say when things are a bit difficult in a match it makes it a little bit easier getting the energy from the crowd," he said. "And when things are going well it makes it last a little bit longer.
"I think it does make a difference and it's important that you embrace it."

Earlier this morning, we wrote about the trailer for Won’t You Be My Neighbor, an upcoming documentary about the life of television host and inspirational figure Fred Rogers. But that’s not the only Mr. Rogers movie that’s on the way – Tom Hanks will be stepping into the role of the iconic TV personality in a drama called You Are My Friend. We already knew the movie wouldn’t be a traditional biopic, and in a new interview, director Marielle Heller reaffirms that notion and offers up some new plot details as well.
Marielle Heller broke out with 2015’s indie drama The Diary of a Teenage Girl, where her care and respect for her characters shone through in practically every frame. She’ll be behind the camera for You Are My Friend, which she tells Entertainment Weekly is “not a biopic.”
“It’s really not. It’s a movie that’s largely focused on a reporter and [Mr. Rogers’] relationship to his life, and how [the reporter’s] whole world changes when coming in contact with Fred Rogers.”
That reporter is Tom Junod, who was assigned by Esquire to write a profile of Fred Rogers in 1998. Junod didn’t think he’d get much out of the writing assignment, but he was so moved by his encounter with Rogers that it altered the course of his life. Heller explains:
“It’s a story for our times, a story about kindness and family connection and trying to tap into our better self. God knows we need that right now! In the research for the movie, the writers found that more people than they could possibly count credited Mr. Rogers with changing their lives…. [It’s about] one man who’s in a critical point in his life — becoming a new father, having issues with his own father — and meeting Mr. Rogers to write a piece about him, thinking it’s going to be a bit of a puff piece, but it ends up changing his entire life.”
The filmmaker says she hasn’t begun working with star Tom Hanks on his take on the character yet, but says, “we’ve had a lot of conversations about the character and he understands the essence of Mr. Rogers.” Heller says her lead actor is “essence wise, in the same vein” as Rogers, which she credits as part of the reason his casting was so well-received online.
Transparent producers Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster wrote the script for You Are My Friend, which begins filming this fall for Tri-Star Pictures. It does not have a release date scheduled yet.

It’s been a little more than four years since Google acquired Nest for $ 3.2 billion, and now both co-founders have left the company. Former CEO Tony Fadell departed in 2016 to be replaced by former cable exec Marwan Fawaz, followed today by co-founder and chief product officer Matt Rogers. In a tweet, Rogers said that after nine years spent building Nest he’s “decided to begin my transition to dedicate more of my time to Incite.org, as well as to start thinking about the next adventure.”
The announcement also comes just a day after Google announced that Nest will join forces with its other hardware teams, which hardware VP Rick Osterloh said would “supercharge Nest’s mission.” While Rogers specifically cited spending more time working on his venture firm Incite, the timing comes as Google takes more control over the “thoughtful home” products Nest sells.
After the acquisition, Fadell promised not to force any privacy changes and the company’s FAQ notes that its accounts aren’t linked with Google. Privacy concerns also reportedly got in the way of an Echo-like assistant from Nest a few years ago, but now Google Home and Assistant can control Nest devices, and with the teams merging we’d anticipate seeing more integration going forward. As Osterloh put it “By working together, we’ll continue to combine hardware, software and services to create a home that’s safer, friendlier to the environment, smarter and even helps you save money—built with Google’s artificial intelligence and the Assistant at the core.”
Nest has been an amazing journey and the honor of my career to build. I could not be more proud of what we have all accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s next for Nest.

Fred Rogers, the dulcet-toned host of PBS’s Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, is the subject of the new documentary Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, which premiered last week at the Sundance Film Festival and will hit theaters later this year. In the meantime, Diary of a Teenage Girl director Marielle Heller will direct a narrative biopic titled You Are My Friend, with Tom Hanks starring at the public television personality.
According to THR, the film will focus on a long-lasting friendship between Rogers and journalist Tom Junod, whose life was changed when he took an assignment to write a profile piece on Mr. Rogers. The script, by Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster, appeared on the 2013 Black List of the “most liked” unproduced screenplays.
It’s going to be a busy year for Heller, whose Diary was one of the best movies of 2015; You Are My Friend will go into production in September, THR reports, just a month before the release of her much-anticipated second feature, Can You Ever Forgive Me? Hanks is currently working on something called Toy Story 4.
