Emmerdale viewers saw Nate Robinson (played by Jurell Carter) arrive in the village last week and take up the farmhand position at Butler’s farm. He was first seen in the soap a couple of weeks ago when he kissed Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) in the club during the Big Night Out episode. More recently, scenes saw him involved in an awkward run in in the Woolpack with Rhona, where he told Pete Barton (Anthony Quinlan) about their rendezvous on the dance floor. Nevertheless, it seems Nate is going to be sticking around for a while and the actor who plays him has spoken out about how his appearance is going to impact the other villagers. During a conversation with The Mirror, he revealed whether or not a future romance with the vet was on the cards. He said: “No, because I think for me, Nate is a very loyal character. I think if he knew she [Rhona] was already taken for, he wouldn’t have gone there. “So I think knowing that she’s in a relationship calls if off straight away. I don’t think he would pursue it, no.” As for whether or not he will be involved with anyone, Jurell teased his character being linked with an alternative older woman. “There’s a few women, he definitely does like the ladies,” the actor explained. “For me, he likes the older ladies but he likes the ones around his aged as well, so I don’t think he’s just for older women. So everyone!” Whether or not Rhona and Pete can move past her brief infidelity, viewers will have to tune in to tonight’s episode to see the next development. Meanwhile, there is the suggestion that Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) could go head to head with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley). It comes after Will arrived in the Dales last month with the hope of tormenting Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton). But with daughter Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) working with him, there is the chance her conscience will get the better of her and she will reveal what has been going on to the vicar. Therefore, Harriet could confide in ex-Cain and he could make it his duty to make Will pay for what he’s put her through. Elsewhere in the village, Victoria Sugden (Isobel Hodgins) is still struggling to come to terms with the sexual assault she experienced. Last night, in extremely difficult scenes, Victoria’s flashback aired and viewers saw Lee (Kris Mochrie) attack and rape her. Following the traumatic ordeal, she has been hiding away in her house, that is until Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb) bursts in. Ross Barton (played by Michael Parr) recently returned to Emmerdale after suffering second-degree burns as a result of Debbie Dingles’ (Charley Webb) foiled plan to get back at Joseph Tate (Net Porteous).
The horrific acid attack has left Ross in agony and painkillers appear to be the only way to relieve the soreness.
But when his reliance on tablets becomes too much, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) will step in to help get Ross back on track.
Next week, Rhona will discover Ross’s empty pill packet and is concerned after checking the prescription date.
Desperate to get to the bottom of this, Rhona will question Ross about taking too many painkillers.
However, Ross sees red and ends up kicking Rhona out of the house in frustration.
But Rhona will take the painkillers with her, which is sure to infuriate Ross once he realises what has happened.
With Ross spiralling out of control, will he harm Rhona to retrieve the tablets or could this be the moment he changes his life?
Ross’ mother Moira Barton [Natalie J Robb] is in for a shock when she finds out that Simon McManus [Liam Ainsworth] was the person that attacked him.
What’s more she is sickened to the core when she learns that Debbie instigated the whole situation.
Debbie was the one who ordered Simon to take revenge on Joseph but the plan backfired and poor Ross was mistakenly targeted.
The mother-of-two wanted to take out Joseph after he destroyed the Dingle’s home to get back at Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) for the death of his father Chris.
Meanwhile, Charity is about to be involved in a harrowing abuse storyline, as she will relive her difficult childhood.
Actress Emma confessed to feeling “nervous as hell” about the scenes.
Speaking about the upcoming episodes, she said: “I didn’t know the extent of the abuse or how bad it was.
“I knew she had an ugly past. And reading it, it does all make sense.”
The star added: “You play a character for so long and it’s even more amazing now that I have all of this history to delve into.
“It really explains why she behaves the way she behaves, why she maybe pushes people away or does catastrophic things because she is out of control mentally.
“It’s a wonderful thing to embrace as actors.”
Emmerdale continues tonight on ITV at 7pm.
The pair were scheduled to go on a date after Rhona (played by Zoe Henry) bid on Pete (Anthony Quinlan) during a charity auction but the Barton brother fell asleep.
Tonight, Rhona’s co-worker and friend Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) scolded Pete for standing her up and convinced him to make an effort with her.
And the farmer finally got his chance to ask Rhona out when he found himself in a spot of trouble.
He could be seen struggling to herd a flock of sheep into a field when Rhona arrived in her jeep.
The pair worked together to get the sheep off the road and Pete tried to complement Rhona but ended up red-faced.
Rhona could be seen laughing as she walked off but was forced to return to help Pete when his car wouldn’t start.
Despite their best attempts, they were unable to get the engine going once again and had to call for help.
As Rhona left the farmer once more, he stepped forward and the pair shared a short but sweet kiss.
Fans flocked to social media to comment on their blossoming romance and the latest pairing on the ITV soap.
Unfortunately for the new couple, many fans are not convinced, with some claiming Rhona “deserves better”.
One viewer shared: “Interesting pairing. I don’t think its going anywhere relationship wise I think its gonna be all about sex and I can see Pete getting Rhona pregnant that’s what I think will come out of this story #Emmerdale.”
Another added: “Rhona and Pete? Give me a break #Emmerdale.”
“Pete and Rhona is just weird #Emmerdale,” a third continued.
Someone else tweeted: “Rhona deserves someone better than boring pete #emmerdale.”
However there were some who are excited to see how the romance unfolds, with one fan declaring: “Just putting it out there..I quite like Rhona and Pete #emmerdale.”
Another continued: “Not gonna lie, I’m loving Rhona and Pete #Emmerdale.”
Emmerdale continues Monday on ITV at 7pm.
After Pierce (Jonathan Wrather) raped her on their wedding day, Rhona’s (Zoe Henry) feelings towards her first husband, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), began to resurface.
Although Paddy (played by Dominic Brunt) has moved on with his former flame Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Rhona (Zoe Henry) is still working to get over him.
In an effort to recover from the heartache, she will ask Pete (Anthony Quinlan) out for a drink next week in Emmerdale.
Doug Potts (Duncan Preston) had been telling Rhona to go for it with Paddy, but a miscommunication lead to her thinking that he meant Pete.
The two meet up at The Woolpack where they get on like a house on fire, and they both want more.
Eventually they head back to the Barton house where things quickly escalate and the two head upstairs for some bedroom antics.
New photos released by ITV show the pair locked in a passionate kiss in the living room before they up the ante.
Meanwhile, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) makes the decision to tell Paddy that Rhona still holds a torch for him, and that he should leave her to move on.
While he initially agrees with her, Paddy can’t help but feel jealous when he sees Rhona leaving Pete’s home the next morning.
Rhona will find herself having to defend her actions after Paddy confronts her over the night of passion.
Judging by his reaction, it is clear he isn’t over her.
Paddy was the one looking to rekindle the romance not long ago, however Rhona wasn’t ready.
Her rape at the hands of Pierce last year deeply affected Rhona, and impinged on her relationship with Paddy.
Pete has also experienced a turbulent love life after ex-wife Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) split up with him because she loved his brother, Ross (Michael Parr).
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
Rhona (played by Zoe Henry) started off anxious for her son Leo’s future in the latest instalment of the ITV soap, after school issues meant that the child might be forced to enrol in a special needs programme.
Enlisting her close friend and ex-husband Paddy (Dominic Brunt) to help her bake a selection of cakes to impress the Parent Teacher Association, fans clocked on before the characters did that Rhona had accidentally made some cheeky-looking sweet goods.
Designed to be snakes, Rhona was blissfully unaware that the green and yellow oblongs had any resemblance to a human penis, which sent the pair into fits of giggles when Paddy pointed out the obvious.
In hysterics, fans took to Twitter to comment on the hilarious scene, as one person wrote: “Love the ‘shop bought’ snake cakes in the shape of a penis by the way. #Emmerdale.”
“Those snake cakes look dodgy as f**k #Emmerdale,” another joked, followed by: “Haahaaa those snake cakes look like a penis #emmerdale.”
“When I first saw them ‘Cakes’ I didn’t think Snakes #Emmerdale @emmerdale,” one viewer commented.
Meanwhile, some viewers continued to enjoy the comedic notes when the soap dropped another cheeky innuendo.
“#emmerdale ‘he’d be more than happy to ice your buns’ has this show turned into babestation?” one wrote, as another said: “All the innuendos tonight, f***ing laughing my head off”
Despite the characters’ seeming enjoyment of the task at hand, it later became clear that Rhona was suffering from unrequited feelings underneath the surface.
Confiding in her friend Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), Rhona decided to reveal the truth of her secret by icing “I love Paddy” on the top of one of her cakes.
Unfortunately, given Paddy and Chas’s (Lucy Pargeter) relationship is still being kept under wraps, will Rhona be in for a devastating rebuff?
Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
Viewers couldn’t contain themselves after married actors Zoe Henry and Jeff Hordley, who star as Rhona and Cain respectively, finally shared some screen time.
“Loved Rhona and Cain interacting tonight @ZoeHenry03 @HordleyJeff,” enthused one ecstatic audience member, which was followed by: “Looooool, it’s so weird watching Cain & Rhona in a scene together knowing they’re married in real life #Emmerdale.”
A third cried: “In all the years I have been watching Emmerdale, I have never seen Cain and Rhona in a scene. I do know they are husband and wife xx.”
“At last a scene with Cain and Rhona hilarious,” chuckled one more, while this desperate fan pleaded: “Love love love Rhona and Cain….. please make this happen @emmerdale @ZoeHenry03 @HordleyJeff.”
However, their Emmerdale romance was unbearably short-lived after Cain turned a drunk Rhona down when she asked him to buy her a drink.
“Oh, so I’m not good enough, am I? she snapped.
“I said it once, that I half liked you,” Rhona continued. “Don’t think I wanted to have sex with you; that you were ever good enough for me.”
Eventually, Cain’s girlfriend Harriet Finch took Rhona home where she broke down over her harrowing few months after being raped by husband Pierce Harris.
Zoe previously teased the scenes with her husband during an appearance on This Morning
After host Ruth Langsford asked whether Zoe would be sharing any moments with her spouse anytime soon, the mother-of-two shared some exciting news.
“Well interestingly, there was a scene actually with Pierce when the storyline began, and she said her ultimate one night stand fantasy would be with Cain – which I rolled my eyes at,” Zoe giggled.
“We just shot some scenes where that doesn’t come to light…but certain things happen.”
She added: “I was really nervous to work with him.”
Emmerdale continues Monday at 7pm on ITV.
The high profile storyline has been running for months and has garnered much attention for taking on such a controversial topic.
However, tonight things came to a head on Emmerdale after Pierce Harris (played by Jonathan Wrather) was finally found guilty of raping his wife (Zoe Henry).
Emmerdale viewers took to social media in their droves to discuss the tough plot and the outcome.
One person posted on Twitter: “Zoe Henry has been amazing during this SL, a heartbreaking and powerful story that many go through. Glad Rhona got justice! #Emmerdale.”(sic)
“#Emmerdale Hope Rhona @ZoeHenry03 gets awards for this. She has played it brilliantly,” wrote a second.
While a third said: “The Rhona and pierce storyline is compelling viewing. #emmerdale Good acting all around.”
After the guilty verdict was revealed, Rhona ran out of the courtroom and broke down in tears.
As she cried outside the building, she seemed to finally be freed from her evil spouse.
Ex-husband Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) joined Rhona outside as they informed her that Pierce got five years in prison.
“They believed me,” Rhona said relieved, she went on to say: “So many women don’t get that, we have to have the worst moment on the stand and still not be believed at the end of it.”
Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox) was emotional as she thanked Rhona for speaking out, feeling like her victory helped her gain some closure with her own rape.
Pierce’s mother Martha (Elaine Claxton) even apologised and felt “ashamed” for her part in the case and stalking her.
The episode came to an end as Pierce was sent to jail, however there have been suggestions that the controlling solicitor is going to be hanging around for some time yet.
At the beginning of next week, Rhona (played by Zoe Henry) is fuming after she overhears residents in the Woolpack discussing Pierce’s (Jonathan Wrather) arrest.
And she soon becomes upset with all the gossiping as she hears people talking highly of her husband.
Fed up with the situation, Rhona reveals to the villagers that Pierce raped her leaving them all in total shock and feeling guilty.
Last week, Rhona identified Pierce has her attacker to the police but he later lied through his teeth as he was questioned by police.
The crafty lawyer said on their wedding night they had had consensual sex and that any other suggestions were untrue, telling the police: “She was off her face, high as a kite.”
Pierce was soon freed by the police although he was told he couldn’t go anywhere near the village.
However in upcoming scenes, Rhona becomes increasingly paranoid that Pierce is back and has entered the house.
She is horrified at this thought and confides in Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) who drives to Pierce’s office, but what will he do?
The torment doesn’t end there for the mother-of-one as later in the week, she goes downstairs to find empty blister packs on her table and the front door wide open.
As she panics and runs out to find her son Leo, she comes across Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Paddy.
The pair spot Rhona holding the blister packs and assume she’s taking drugs again.
She maintains her innocence, but will they believe her?
In the double bill episodes, Pierce had returned to the Dales after being persuaded by Paddy Kirk – who had no idea about the horrific attack – to help Rhona who had recently relapsed on painkillers.
As soon as he arrived back in the village, he gave his wife a nasty surprise by turning up at her house.
However, Rhona’s best friend Vanessa Woodfield demanded he left the property and said: “Soon everyone in this village will know exactly what you are… rapist!”
The villain then went onto find Paddy and Marlon Dingle who spun a web of lies about how Rhona’s drug addiction had been going on for months and was the reason why their marriage broke down.
Meanwhile, Rhona – who had had already told the police about her ordeal but never named the attacker – went to get justice once and for all and identified Pierce as her rapist.
Those watching the ITV soap at home praised Rhona for speaking out and being extremely “brave”.
“Well done #rhona in @emmerdale that took some guts,” said one person while another viewer added: “So proud of Rhona for telling the police about pierce.”
And it wasn’t long until the police tracked down Pierce and arrested him although he protested his innocence and yelled: “She can’t help the lies, she’s delusional!”
As Paddy and Marlon confronted Rhona over her decision to get him arrested, she revealed to the pair: “Pierce didn’t hit me… he raped me, Paddy.”
And viewers were delighted that Rhona had taken the step to report her husband who raped her on their wedding day as one person wrote: “Omg hope peirce gets what he deserves! #emmerdale.”
Another person said: “Yaaas Rhona! Finally! Just make sure you’ve keep at it. #Emmerdale Cause he’s a creepy f**k that needs to be in jail.”
