Babies get into everything. Everything. There are gates, covers, sealers, and more when it comes to babyproofing a home, but tiny humans are more than capable of getting around them all. As such, Baby Hands wants players to take the seat of a curious ankle-biter and get their hands on everything, causing pint-sized mayhem. Using VR, you’ll feel quite small within these gargantuan rooms full of things to grab at and throw around. Just try not to give your parents a headache. Or do it. I’m not your mom.
Baby Hands gives you a variety of places to crawl around in and things to interact with, offering tons of stuff to do and see. From the perspective of a chubby-handed baby, you’ll be able to set off volcanoes, play with cars, shoot a water gun, the list goes on and on. Baby Hands is all about discovery and imagination, and with no clear objective, you’re free to enjoy this sandbox world and stumble upon whatever fun you find, destructive or creative.
You may even discover your inner child (or baby!). Just try not to put everything in your mouth. You don’t know where it’s been.
You can find Baby Hands on Steam here. You can also check out the developer’s official website, Twitter, and Facebook.
Remember when The Big Bang Theory‘s Sheldon would only refer to Amy as his friend but not his girlfriend? Eight years later, the fan-favorite couple is about to say “HIja’!” (That’s “I do” in Klingon.)
In the Season 11 finale (airing Thursday, May 10, at 8/7c on CBS), Drs. Cooper and Fowler will finally become man and wife. In anticipation of the big day, TVLine is looking back at 20 unforgettable moments that showcase the evolution of “Shamy” — including, but not limited to: their peculiar meet-cute, a devastating break-up and a cross-country proposal. Also included are all of their firsts, such as the first time they held hands and, yes, the first time they had coitus!
Peruse the attached gallery to see how Sheldon and Amy may or may not have disregarded the laws set forth by the Relationship Agreement over the years, then hit the comments and share your favorite “Shamy” couple moment.

The most highly anticipated TV event of the spring is the revival of a 30-year-old sitcom.
We’re, of course, talking about Roseanne, which returns with Season 10 on Tuesday, March 27 (ABC, 8/7c). Before we find out what the Conner clan’s been up to since 1997, we here at TVLine are taking a stroll down Delaware St. memory lane and revisiting some of our favorite episodes from the series’ initial run.
All nine seasons are available to stream on Amazon Prime, but it’s unlikely any of us will have the time to revisit all 222 half-hours. Instead, what follows is a curated list of 20 classic installments (we’re counting two-parters as one) that represent the series at its very best. Our picks include episodes that are funny (the one where Roseanne, Dan and Jackie get stoned), sad (the one where Jackie’s boyfriend beats her up) and somewhere in-between (the one where Roseanne and Jackie’s father dies), as well as those that were once considered nearly too taboo to air at all (the one where Leon and Scott get married).
So break out the pickled eggs, cozy up with your favorite afghan and peruse the attached gallery to get reacquainted with America’s favorite blue-collar family. Afterwards, be sure to hit the comments and tell us which of your favorite episodes didn’t make the cut.

Reunited and it feels so… slightly, sadly awkward?
The Season 3 premiere of NBC’s Blindspot (airing tonight at 8/7c) opens with a wonderful, whirlwind rewind of Jane and Weller’s wedding day and the immediate domestic afterglow… before we are made privy to why, as we saw at the close of the May finale, they are now no longer together, some two years later. (Simply said, there has been a ma$ $ ive bounty on their heads.)
Teaming Dana Carvey, red-hot off his Emmy-winning Saturday Night Live run, with the likes of Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert and Louis C.K. sounds like a comedy grand slam. ABC’s The Dana Carvey Show however was sent to the showers after just a handful of 1996 airings, its infamous flame-out well-chronicled in the Hulu documentary Too Funny to Fail (premiering this Saturday, Oct 21).
“I have police officers in my family, I have firefighters in my family and I kind of wanted to follow in that tradition when I was done with the military,” the 26-year-old corporal with the Canadian infantry told CBC News Friday.
But an injury during pre-deployment training derailed those dreams for Scanlan, who will represent Canada in wheelchair tennis, cycling and swimming during the Invictus Games in Toronto.
“I ended up tearing something in my leg,” the Milton woman explained.
Docotors initially assumed it was a simple injury but the physical challenge of being an infantry soldier in Afghanistan exacerbated the damage, she says. And that ended her dream of working as a first responder after leaving the military.
“They told me that wasn’t an option any more,” Scanlan told CBC Toronto.
“I had to get surgery and then do months of rehab and physio and seeing osteopaths,” she said, explaining how she became very aware of her physical limitations. Scanlan says she also had to cope with mental health issues after the injury. She took time off and took on modified duty afterwards.
It was only when she saw a post on her Facebook timeline about the Invictus Games, something she had never heard of before, that she began revisiting those dreams.

The Invictus Games are a Paralympic-style event for wounded, injured and sick soldiers — and former armed services personnel — from 17 countries. The games consist of 12 adaptive sports, including swimming, wheelchair basketball cycling and sitting volleyball.
The slogan for the games reads: “I am the master of my fate.”
Scanlan spoke with Team Canada organizers and decided she wanted to compete.
“When I started training for the Invictus Games, I started noticing that, all these limits I had, I was able to push past them and then I started looking back on all these old goals that I left behind.”
So when a posting opened up for a firefighter’s job in Milton, she took a chance.
“I jumped on it thinking, ‘Maybe I can actually do that,'” she said.
Scanlan is now a recruit-in-training to be a Milton firefighter and is in the process of leaving the military.
“Training for the Invictus Games is absolutely what’s preparing me for the physical challenge of a job like that.”
The games, organized by Prince Harry, will run from Sept. 22 to Sept. 29 in Toronto.
“I’m not really competing against other teams, I’m competing against the me of one year ago. I’m competing against the me that was struggling,” Scanlan said.
She says she’s determined to defeat the person she once was.
“I look forward to kicking her butt,” she said.

NBC News
On Monday, President Donald Trump signed a measure to begin an investigation into China’s theft of US intellectual property (IP). In the international business community, it’s no secret that in China, there is little respect for trade secrets.
However, the way the Trump administration is handling the issue ignores a clear warning the Chinese government gave to the US back in January. It’s using Section 301 of the US Trade Act of 1974, a law that hasn’t been used in decades and would allow Trump to put a tariff on Chinese goods without Congressional approval.
In an interview with Prospect.org Trump adviser Steve Bannon seemed gleeful about the grave implications of Section 301. He confirmed reports that at least some in the administration had planned to skip the investigation and go directly to unilateral action, but that conflict with North Korea slowed down the process.
“To me,” Bannon said, “the economic war with China is everything. And we have to be maniacally focused on that. If we continue to lose it, we’re five years away, I think, ten years at the most, of hitting an inflection point from which we’ll never be able to recover.”
What this tells us is that Trump either doesn’t care red lines China set down at the beginning of his administration. That will have consequences.
In a rare interview with NBC in January, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang said in no uncertain terms that the Trump administration should continue to use the World Trade Organization to settle trade disputes.
“China and the US are already members of the WTO, so within the WTO framework there are already rules governing these disputes,” he said. “And I don’t want to specify here but it’s not very difficult for any people to get a conclusion of what kind of reaction might be from the Chinese side [if Trump decides to put up tariffs against Chinese goods unilaterally]. That said, I want to reiterate that we don’t want to see this kind of scenario that will do harm on both sides.”
In other words: Work through the WTO or we’ll act against the US economy. Of course, Bannon and officials who think like him within the administration, like National Trade Council head Peter Navarro, have no respect for the WTO.
You can see where we have a problem here.
None of this is to say that something shouldn’t be done about China’s IP theft.
“They’re going to be mad, but I think at the same time they know the game that they’re playing and they’re going to be mad about being caught more than anything else,” said Brian O’Shaughnessy, president and chair of the Board of the Licensing Executives Society, an organization for IP professionals. “There’s no question they’re manipulating the IP system.”
O’Shaughnessy says that US companies find that when they go to China there is only the veneer of respect for IP. In reality there is no right to privacy, especially when it comes to technology, and part of that is cultural difference. Many in China see it as the government’s duty to patrol the internet.
Of course, at the same time, this is also because in China “technological dominance, they understand, is dominance.”
So yes, this expert agrees this is a problem. But, other experts — the trade experts — believe that using Section 301 is not a solution.
“The law hasn’t been used in 50 years and there’s a good reason for that,” economist Chad Brown of the Peterson Institute for International Economics told Business Insider on a phone call. “We built a brand new trading system so we didn’t have to use this law.”
That system is adjudication through the WTO.
And that brings us back to NBC’s interview. I can’t stress how rare it is for a Chinese official to be as candid as Lu was here.
“We are not prejudging anything, but I can tell you that while we have to prepare for the good to protect our national or our legit national interests but we always try our best for the good,” he said.
Institute of International FinanceThe good would be continuing the deep trading relationships between China and the US. Over the past decade, China’s imports from the US have grown twice as fast as its exports to the US and three times as fast as China’s total exports, according to a recent paper from the Institute of International Finance.
So if things get bad it really matters to the US, and especially to Trump’s own voting base.
More from the report:.
China last year imported 62% of American soybeans, 14% of its cotton, 17% of auto, 15% of semiconductor, and 25% of Boeing passenger planes.
China is the largest market for US soybeans and airplanes, and the second largest market for auto, cotton, and semiconductor products.
And so here we are, defying a warning from a key trading partner to follow the rules of an organization the US helped to found. We wrote the rules of global trading, and now we want to pretend they don’t exist.
I’ll leave you with a word from Lu.
“Worldwide people were interested in his slogan… ‘America First.’ My personal opinion it’s fair for President Trump to place the American national interest at the top of his agenda,” he said. “All the state leaders should put the interest of their people, their public at the top of the agenda. But the problem is that today’s world is quite interdependent, countries are quite interconnected. So while trying to pursue the interest in your country you’ll have to keep in mind the implications worldwide, and these kind of implications might come back to the policy issues at your own home.”
Here’s why:

Released 11 years ago as the PS2 was coming to the end of its lifetime and gamers were gearing up for the next-gen, it probably came out at just the wrong time.
But, for such an unconventional game that defies the rules, this seems perfectly apt.
Final Fantasy 12 took many of the series’ staples and turned them completely on its head.
Love the cyber punk setting of Final Fantasy 7? How about a renaissance inspire medieval-esque world instead?
Hate random battles? Don’t worry, now you can actually see enemies in front of you and coolly run past them.
Find turn-based combat boring and too slow? No sweat – now you can just have your allies virtually on autopilot.
FF12 introduced a host of radical changes which forever altered what we expect from a Final Fantasy game – and a JRPG – in general.
And now is a great time to revisit it or experience it for the first time as Square Enix have released a slick PS4 remaster – Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age.
Players take control of Vaan, an orphan with supermodel looks and perfect hair (yes, some things never change) that is caught up between two warring nations.
His home of Dalmasca has fallen to the evil empire Archades, and with it our hero has lost almost everything he holds dear.
By pure chance, Vaan comes across a ragtag bunch (yes, some things never change again) that will band together to help avenge the occupied kingdom.
There’s the charming the sky pirate full of one liners, the princess long thought dead and…er…a woman dressed up as an S&M bunny. Yes, really.
If this all sounds a bit Star Wars – apart from the leather clad bunny lady – then, you’re right.
FF12’s story has long been likened to that towering pillar of pop culture, which in itself riffed on Akira Kurosawa’s The Hidden Fortress.
By while its story may give you a sense of deja-vu, everything else about it is a breath of fresh air.
One area where the influence of FF12 can still be felt to this day is the brilliant battle system.
While it is still turned based, a number of new features made it feel much more fast paced and action packed compared to previous Final Fantasy games.
Firstly, during battles characters were no long routed to the spot. They were free to move around the battlefield – fighting different enemies as the player saw fit.
Secondly, after you input an attack command then every time the time meter (or ATB meter) fills up it automatically performs that again for you.
This takes away the need for unnecessary command entries and keeps combat moving at a brisk pace.
Finally, the ingenious Gambit system freed up the player’s need to micro-manage and worry about what other party members were doing.
The Gambit system works by letting you order characters to perform certain actions in specific scenarios.
For instance, you can order your healer to automatically cast Cure on an ally once their HP gets low.
Or, if you come across a big group of enemies, you can order your party members to focus all their attacks on the foe with the highest amount of hit points.
The amount of customisation available for these orders is huge, meaning that there is a Gambit for whatever battle situation you come across.
Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age also brings with a feature that wasn’t in the original – the Job System.
The Job System featured in the ironically titled International Version, which was only released in Japan.
It lets you assign specific roles to each character, such as Knight or Archer, and each of these roles has a development map specific to that role.
Players, after gaining enough LP, can choose to unlock new abilities on this development map – and they get a huge range of flexibility over what abilities to learn.
The Job System, along with the Gambits, means you can develop completely unique characters that fit your play style perfectly.
The PS4 remaster also brings with it more polished visuals, slicker menu systems and a re-recorded, glorious soundtrack.
In conversations about what’s the greatest Final Fantasy, the twelfth entry in the illustrious series often gets overlooked.
It doesn’t hold the nostalgia of seven, or the towering reputation of six – but it’s arguably the most influential game in the series.
FF12 began the movement of a more fast-paced brand of JRPG, which tried to address many barriers to entry gamers had to the genre.
The classic Xenoblade Chronicles, the recent FF15 and Japanese RPGs like Tales of Berseria all – in some shape or form – owe a debt to Final Fantasy 12.
It may not end up being your favourite entry in the Final Fantasy series, but the huge impact it had on the series means it demands your attention.
VERDICT: 4/5
The Internet Archive is a treasure trove for software geeks. In recent months, the site has hosted everything from GIFs from Geocities to Macintosh games from the 80s. Its latest blast from the past is an entire section dedicated to AOL CD-ROMs.
Back when Mark Wahlberg was Marky Mark, Engadget’s parent company AOL was busy carpet-bombing everyone with CDs offering free web trials. The CD-ROMs were AOL’s way of capitalizing on the hype surrounding the nascent medium. And, for many, they provided their first taster of the internet.
Fast forward 27 years and everyone you know is online and compact discs are considered junk. As the era of the CD as a distribution method dies a slow death — thanks, in part, to streaming services — the round discs are becoming even more important to archivists, like Jason Scott. In 2015, Scott urged people to send him their AOL CD-ROMs. Strangely, there are people out there who collect America Online’s glossy discs, but they’re probably less likely to hand over their prized possessions.
…the @internetarchive begins hosting AOL CD-ROMs en masse this year. Here’s the first few dozen. https://t.co/D4GuA8FE5C
— Jason Scott (@textfiles) July 10, 2017
Now, the Internet Archive is hosting the first few dozen CDs, complete with their very 90s graphics. You can browse through the expanding collection and download torrents of the full disc ISO. “For some time, half of all CDs manufactured in the world had an AOL logo on them,” wrote Scott in a blog post. “Like it or not, folks – those things are payloads of history.”
The tiny time capsules cost AOL a lot of money too. Back in 2011, co-founder Steve Case said he didn’t recall the exact amount spent on the CDs, but that AOL’s goal was to fork out ten percent of lifetime revenue to get a new subscriber. He claimed that average subscriber life was around 25 months and revenue was about $ 350. So, Case estimated the company spent $ 35 per user on marketing material such as the CDs.

Venus’ atmosphere is rightfully famous for a combination of being stunningly hot and containing sulfuric acid. Those conditions, not surprisingly, have ensured that every bit of hardware we’ve sent through said atmosphere has had an extremely short lifespan.
But at least one of those pieces of hardware—the Soviet Union’s VeGa-2 probe—sent back some data that’s hard to explain, a hint of an unstable atmosphere. Now, a pair of scientists is suggesting that the oddity can be explained by an equally odd feature of the atmosphere: it’s a supercritical fluid where different chemicals partially separate at different altitudes.
The sulfuric acid and a surface temperature of 464 degrees Celsius, which is hot enough to melt lead, would seem to be more than sufficiently unusual for a planet. Yet Venus’ oddities don’t stop there. Its atmosphere is so dense and reflective that its surface gets less sunlight than the Earth does, even though Venus is closer to the Sun.
