One of the most unappealing museums in the world has just opened in Malmö, Sweden — for members of the public who are brave enough to visit, that is.

The Disgusting Food Museum features such delicacies as bull penis (pictured above), spicy rabbit heads, mouse wine, and tomato juice with a pickled sheep’s eye.

You might remember the museum’s curator, Samuel West, from the ironically popular Museum of Failure, which is also located in Sweden.

“When I opened the Museum of Failure I was amazed at the impact it had. If a simple fun exhibit could change peoples’ attitude towards failure, what other assumptions could an exhibit change?” West wrote in a statement sent to INSIDER.

“Our current meat production is terribly environmentally unsustainable, and we urgently need to start considering alternatives. But many people are disgusted by the idea of eating insects and sceptical about lab-grown meat. … If we can change our notions of what food is disgusting or not, it could potentially help us transition to more sustainable protein sources.”

Guests who visit the exhibition can see, smell, and taste 80 different foods, which are considered a luxury in some locales and absolutely vile in others.

Cuy, or roasted guinea pig, is one of Peru’s most famous dishes. The indigenous animal has been a staple in the Andean diet for about 5,000 years.

Menudo is a Mexican soup made of the boiled stomach lining of cattle and sheep. It’s rubbery in texture and tastes slightly gamey, according to the museum.

Kumis is a beverage traditionally consumed by farming communities in Russia and Central Asia. Kumis is made of mare’s milk that’s been fermented, making it slightly alcoholic and sparkling.

For as long as home video cameras have existed, kids have used them to film themselves doing very stupid things. It’s part of growing up, or at least it was when I was growing up. My high-school television and video production classes were stuffed with goofy teenagers who liked to film themselves cavorting atop mail trucks parked outside the post office, bathing in tubs filled with milk and cereal, annoying the shopkeepers in my hometown’s business district, and eating any number of inedible substances. These videos were gross and immature a lot of the time, but they were also really fun to watch — delightfully dumb and transgressive in the way lots of art from the margins is supposed to be.

Thanks to YouTube, homemade video is no longer a marginal art form, and the same sorts of boisterous kids whose prank tapes would once have only been seen by their friends are now becoming worldwide celebrities for their dumbass behavior. In my day, my friends and schoolmates risked injury, parental censure, and other adults’ disapproval just to make themselves and their friends laugh. (Indeed, repulsing the adults who watched the video was often one of the points.) Now, plenty of kids (and adults) are making and posting stupid videos for the same reasons — but with the added temptation, or perhaps main objective, of being stupid in the service of gaining subscribers and living that sweet vlogger lifestyle. In between then and now, of course, was Jackass, which proved that prankish, good-natured body horror could find a wide audience.

George is married to wife Michelle, but refuses to iron, cook, or clean as he is “a man” and won’t do “women things”.

However, as part of the experiment he was switched with another wife called Rachel, who was far from impressed.

The show explained: “For working mother Michelle and real husband George, expectations about who does what around the home are rather different.”

Michelle revealed: “George thinks women are there solely for cooking and cleaning and looking after the kids. He is chauvinistic.”

Defending his actions, George said: “The way I was brought up is the man usually goes to work. He’s the provider. The woman usually stays at home and does all the women things.”

Asked if George ever cleans, Michelle huffed: “I have to keep his space clean and tidy. It’s just ridiculous.”

When he unpacked his suitcase while out in Thailand with swap wife Rachel, she kindly asked if he needed anything to be put on a hanger in the wardrobe.

George replied: “My tops… but do you know how to iron?” prompting Rachel to reply: “Yeah.”

Ecstatic, George replied: “Great! I don’t iron,” as a horrified Rachel responded: “No, I know how to iron. I don’t iron for Tom though.”

George then asked: “Oh. That’s a bit sad. Why don’t you iron for Tom?” leaving a shocked Rachel to say: “Because he can do it himself!”

The swapped husband then said: “There’s certain things I won’t do. I won’t iron. I just don’t want to do it,” as Rachel suggested: “You need to learn though. I’ll teach you how to iron.”

George wasn’t happy, saying: “No thanks!” as Rachel insisted: “No, I am going to. That’s ridiculous. You can’t just be like that, when you go home you can iron!”

He then replied: “No, genuinely. I’d prefer not to learn. It’s not me being weird or anything. It’s just, I don’t want to learn thanks.”

Viewers instantly took to social media following George’s comments, with one tweeting: “This man is actually repulsive, how’s he going to iron his clothes when he’s alone & single?! #sevenyearswitch.”

“Who the hell does George think he is? He doesn’t want to iron but he expects Rachel to iron for him. Such a pig #SevenYearSwitch,” raged another.

A third added: “Wowwwww can’t iron won’t iron he’s looking for a new mummy not a wife. What’s he gonna do when he’s single? #sevenyearswitch.”

“Quite simply, the misogynistic p***k George who refuses to iron his clothes and thinks it is fine to call his wife and the mother of his child a s**g, needs to get walking in to that sea… #sevenyearswitch,” noted another.

Seven Year Switch continues next Tuesday on at 9.15pm.
