It first revealed the "results about you" feature at I/O 2022 in May, describing it as a way to "help you easily control whether your personally-identifiable information can be found in Search results." 

If you see a result with your phone number, home address or email, you can click on the three-dot menu at the top right. That opens the usual "About this result" panel, but it now contains a new "Remove result" option at the bottom of the screen. A dialog states that if the result contains one of those three things, "we can review your request more quickly."

You can then monitor the request in a new menu item in the Google app called "Results about you," available by tapping your user profile at the top right. You can then monitor the progress of requests via filters "All requests," "In progress" and "Approved." 

The same page also lets you make a new request with a "Why would you like to remove this result" step. Options there include "It shows my personal contact info," "It shows my contact into with an intent to harm me," "It shows other personal info," "It contains illegal info" and "It’s outdated." Previously, though, Google has said that not all requests may be granted:

It’s important to note that when we receive removal requests, we will evaluate all content on the web page to ensure that we’re not limiting the availability of other information that is broadly useful, for instance in news articles. And of course, removing contact information from Google Search doesn’t remove it from the web, which is why you may wish to contact the hosting site directly, if you’re comfortable doing so.

The new feature has only rolled out to a limited number of users in the US and Europe, 9to5Google notes (I've yet to see it in France and I'm in the Google app beta). In the meantime, you can remove other personally identifiable information or doxxing content from Google Search via a removal request — there's more information about that available here.

Little Britain creators Matt Lucas and David Walliams have issued a formal apology in the wake of their series being pulled from Netflix and the BBC for its use of blackface.

Both Lucas and Walliams simultaneously tweeted public apologies Saturday, four days after the series’ removal from the streaming platforms.

Lucas wrote, “David and I have both spoken publicly in recent years of our regret that we played characters of other races. Once again we want to make it clear that it was wrong and we are very sorry.”

Walliams’ statement was similar, but swapped Lucas’ first name for his own.

This is the first time the creatives have spoken out since their series made international headlines on Tuesday.

Little Britain debuted in 2003 on BBC Three. It aired three seasons and several specials in Great Britain; HBO aired an American spinoff starring Walliams and Lucas, Little Britain USA, in 2008. One of Walliams’ Little Britain characters was Desiree DeVere, a Black woman played by Walliams wearing blackface.

In addition to the series’ removal from Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Britbox, Netflix also dropped the comedians’ airport mockumentary, Come Fly With Me, which featured Lucas playing a Black character named Precious Little. Lucas and Walliams can also be seen wearing make up for their airport worker character, Taaj, passenger liaison officer Moses Beacon and airline boss Omar Baba.

“There’s a lot of historical programming available on BBC iPlayer, which we regularly review,” a spokesperson for the BBC told The Daily Mail earlier this week. “Times have changed since Little Britain first aired, so it is not currently available on BBC iPlayer.”

In a 2017, Lucas said he regretted how the show had handled sensitive topics. “Basically, I wouldn’t make that show now. It would upset people,” he said in The Big Issue, specifically citing the use of blackface and how the show lampooned cross-dressers. “We made a more cruel kind of comedy than I’d do now.”

Before the close of Survivor Season 39, which CBS acknowledges was “unprecedented” in how “inappropriate individual behavior intersect[ed] with game play,” the network has announced new policies and procedures designed to curb sexual harassment, biases and other social issues.

“We recognize there are things we could have done differently” during Season 39, which saw castaway Dan Spilo historically removed from the competition after multiple alleged instances of inappropriate physical contact with cast and crew, “and we are determined to do better going forward,” the network said in a statement.

For Season 40, which has already filmed, the show added to its pre-production cast orientation specific guidelines regarding personal space, inappropriate behavior, and how to report these issues. For Seasons 41 and beyond, producers are reviewing all elements of the show to further support appropriate interaction, including how the players live during, as well as after they are eliminated from, the competition.

Additional measures being taken to “further support a safe environment” include:

The production will add another on-site professional to provide a confidential means of reporting any concerns, so that the production can address them promptly apart from the game.

The show will enhance its pre-production orientation with new anti-harassment, unconscious bias, and sensitivity training for cast, producers and production crew on location.

A new rule will be implemented stating unwelcome physical contact, sexual harassment and impermissible biases cannot be brought into the competition and will not be permitted as part of gameplay. This will be covered in the cast orientation for each season, along with clear instructions on how to report violations.

The show will partner with a third-party expert in the field to review, evolve or add to these new policies and procedures going forward.

During Survivor’s Nov. 13 episode, castaway Kellee Kim made clear her discomfort with Spilo’s encroaching of her personal space and inappropriate touching. On-site producers were forced to intervene, and give Spilo a formal warning. Spilo on Dec. 11 was removed from the game after a report of another incident, which happened off-camera and did not involve a player. (People reported that the incident in question involved a member of the series’ production team and happened after an immunity challenge, when Spilo and his fellow contestants were getting into a boat to transport them back to the camp.)

The five-member city council approved a proposal put forth by West Hollywood Mayor Pro Tempore John D’Amico and Councilwoman Lindsey Horvath, who called for the removal of the star, US media report. Both D’Amico and Horvath said the marker had to be removed “due to [Trump’s] disturbing treatment of women and other actions.” 

Ahead of the vote on Monday, West Hollywood City Council said they were following the steps of the American film industry, which suspended “certain members of the entertainment community… due to their actions toward women.”

Providing other reasons for the removal, the council members noted Trump’s policies, including his refusal to accept US intelligence claims of Russian election interference, his decision to withdraw from the milestone Paris climate accord, a ban on transgender military officers, and the separation of immigrant families at the US border with Mexico.

Trump received a star on the Walk of Fame near Highland Avenue back in 2007 for his involvement in the Miss Universe Pageant. For almost two decades, he co-owned the Miss Universe Organization, which also included the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants.

Since he became president, the star was vandalized several times. On the latest occasion in July, 24-year-old Austin Mikel Clay annihilated the marker with a pickax before being apprehended by police.

Similar calls to remove Trump’s star were heard when he notoriously referred to Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals during his presidential campaign.

However at the time, such proposals were met by opposition. Leron Gubler, CEO of Hollywood Chamber of Commerce rejected a call to take out a star of Bill Cosby who was accused by more than 45 women of sexual misconduct dating to the late 1960s.

“Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Gubler said before adding, “Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk.”

Fat melting injections go hand in hand with weight loss, to remove fat from specific areas of the face and body.

The most known fat removal injection type in the UK is known as Belkyra.

It has already been used under the name Kybella in the United States and approved by the US FDA, or Food and Drug Administration.

Some 79 per cent of subjects who tried the treatment said they had improved satisfaction with their appearance.

Dr Ross recommends at least two to three treatment sessions in order to see results, and he charges from £300 per fat removal injection treatment at his clinic.

“It is past time that Indiana University take a stand and denounce hate and intolerance in Indiana and on IU’s campus,” read the petition signed by over 1,600 students.  

The petition argues that exposing students and faculty of color to the image of the Ku Klux Klan stands in violation of the school’s diversity policy and the student right to freedom from discrimination.

For now the school has stopped holding classes in the hall with the panel. University officials have spoken up for the artwork, arguing that the artist was drawing attention to the evils of the Klan.

Painted by Thomas Hart Benton, the panel depicts several hooded Klansmen alongside a reporter, photographer, and printer – a reference to the 1928 Pulitzer-prize winning story that uncovered the KKK’s ties to the government and broke the Klan’s political influence over Indiana.

The petition acknowledges that Benton intended to denounce the Klan, but argues the KKK is still active in the state today.

“These are in fact modern depictions and not just depictions of a historical time in Indiana,” says the petition, which calls for classroom housing the artwork “an environment that promotes a group known for discriminating against people of color, homosexuals, non Christians, and various other marginalized groups of people.”

The mural was painted over 80 years ago, commissioned by the state legislature to create the mural for the Indiana Hall at the “Century of Progress” exposition at the 1933 World’s Fair in Chicago. The murals were donated to Indiana University in 1940 and installed in three buildings on campus the following year.

“Like most great art, Benton’s murals require context and history,” Lauren Robel, the school’s executive vice president and provost, said in a statement.“Many well-meaning people, without having the opportunity to do that work, wrongly condemn the mural as racist simply because it depicts a racist organization and a hateful symbol.”

Benton’s mural features the social and industrial history of Indiana, from early Native American inhabitants to modern reform movements and mechanization, and includes the ugly side of that history as well, such as lynchings and a slave auction.

“Covering the murals feels like censorship and runs counter to the expressed intent of the artist to make visible moments in history that some would rather forget,” said Robel.

The murals have been the topic of debate at the university before. In 2002, a committee decided to keep the Benton murals but demand the faculty show a video to their classes explaining the history of the panel. The practice was apparently discontinued several years ago. Any context for the work was limited to two posters now displayed outside the classroom.

At a meeting about the panel on October 28, former IU vice president Charlie Nelms, who was on the committee in 2002, told the audience that he was frustrated because most of the people taking a position on the mural had only heard stories of the Klan. Nelms, an African American, said he had first-hand experience with the group growing up.

“I took the position then, and I take the position now, to keep the mural because the Klan is part of the history of Indiana, and we dare not cover that up,” said Nelms, according to the Indiana Daily Student.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has summoned the US embassy chief in Moscow to demand the return of Russian flags, which were removed from seized diplomatic properties in the United States earlier this week.

Speaking to Sputnik radio in Crimea, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the American charge d’affaires had been summoned to account for the seized diplomatic property.

“I am sure that we will raise the issue not only of the return of the flag, but also of the return of our property,” said Zakharova.

Russian flags had been removed from former consular buildings in San Francisco as well as a trade mission in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, which had previously been shut by US authorities. The Russian mission to the US described the move as “extremely unfriendly” while on Thursday, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told Secretary of State Rex Tillerson by phone that the flag’s removal was “unacceptable.”

In response, State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert told a press briefing on Thursday that the flags had been “respectfully lowered,” are being “safely stored” and will be returned “at their [Russia’s] convenience.”

The dispute over the flags is the latest episode in an ongoing diplomatic row between Moscow and Washington, which started with the expulsion of 35 Russian embassy staff by outgoing President Barack Obama in late December 2016, as well as the closure of two diplomatic compounds in Washington, DC, and Maryland.

Though no retaliatory action was immediately taken, this summer the Trump administration slapped Russia with a fresh round of sanctions, prompting Moscow to force Washington to reduce its personnel in Russia by 700 staff. This move leveled the number of Russian and American diplomatic staff in each other’s countries.

The Trump administration then, citing a “spirit of parity,” took more hostile action in early in September, shutting the Russian Consulate-General in San Francisco as well as the trade missions in Washington and New York.
