More Red Dead Redemption 2 updates are coming to the PS4 and Xbox One in the coming weeks, with a few surprise rumours also surfacing.

PS4 and Xbox One gamers recently saw a new Showdown Mode go live in Red Dead Online, which will be followed by another very soon.

In Up in Smoke, all players start with an explosive package and each successful delivery to the opposing team’s base will detonate a piece of their camp.

This drip-feeding of new content is expected to continue during April and will be followed by a much larger Spring expansion.

But while fans may know what might be coming next on PS4 and Xbox One, they may have been surprised by a recent rumour concerning Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC.

A recent online report suggested that Red Dead 2 could be coming as an exclusive title for the Epic Game Store.

Such a move would prove controversial, as it has with other big titles like Borderlands 3.

The report states that the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 would be announced later this month.

And part of that surprising reveal would be that the single-player campaign and Red Dead Online, would be available only on the Epic Game Store.

There were also some claims made about how Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive had worked out a more profitable deal with Epic, meaning the game would never come to Steam.

However, since this appeared online, more information has been shared that shows this information in a new light. The same source posted similar messages about other games which made it seem like it was more of a trolling exercise than an actual reveal.

And based on how fans feel about other Epic Game Store exclusives, it would make sense that RDR2 would only pour fuel onto the fire.

So it appears, for now, no shock deals will be announced by Rockstar Games. They will, however, be offering up new details on their upcoming Spring expansion.

As mentioned above, a smaller content update is expected to land next week, expanding the Showdown Modes and adding new cosmetic items.

This will include the new Plunder mode, which is expected to arrive in April, along with a few new weapons and items.

The good news is that Rockstar has said that their big Spring expansion will arrive before the end of June. The bad news is we don’t know exactly when.

May seems like the most plausible date for such a big update, but it all depends on how much resources are being used to make it happen.

Rockstar has confirmed that more ‘A Land of Opportunities’ Missions will be part of the update, where fans will get to continue Jessica LeClerk’s search for revenge as you explore the path of a Gunslinger or an Outlaw.

This will launch alongside new Free Roam Mission givers and mission types, with Rockstar hinting at some single player cameos.

Red Dead Online is set in the years before the single player story so expect to encounter a range of new and familiar faces, they have warned.

Rockstar is also planning to expand the dynamic events that can occur in Red Dead Online, meaning fighting off ambushes, initiating rescues and defending folks in need.

There’s also rumours that new tables games might be coming to Red Dead Online on PS4 and Xbox One.

However, until Rockstar announce their plans for the popular Wild West shooter, these reports have to be taken with a big pinch of salt.

Let’s block ads! (Why?)

An unlikely dream for fans https://briefnews.eu/nintendo-switch-pro-with-red-dead-redemption-2-an-unlikely-dream-for-fans/ https://briefnews.eu/nintendo-switch-pro-with-red-dead-redemption-2-an-unlikely-dream-for-fans/#respond Thu, 28 Mar 2019 01:21:07 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/nintendo-switch-pro-with-red-dead-redemption-2-an-unlikely-dream-for-fans/

A Nintendo Switch Pro console is reportedly hitting shelves later this year, spurring fans to think of new games that could come to the system.

Recent media reports claim that a cheaper Switch console that will function as a handheld-only device will be released by Nintendo alongside a premium version.

While the cheaper Switch will do away with certain features, the Switch Pro will boast more power, although it won’t be able to match the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

There also speculation over whether this new Pro console will offer more storage capacity, something sorely needed in the future.

It should be noted that none of this has been confirmed by Nintendo and must be taken with a pinch of salt.

However, it seems a lot more likely to happen than what a recent retail listing suggested could be on the cards.

A retail listing from Australia advertised Red Dead Redemption 2 being available on PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.

And while fans would love something like this to happen, we probably all know that it isn’t possible.

There are some holding out hopes that this could be a game released on the more powerful Nintendo Switch Pro.

But without a clear answer on whether the Pro will even be level with the base PS4 and Xbox One models, it’s hard to see this as an option.

Not to mention that the storage required would present its own small nightmare for Nintendo and Rockstar Games.

The only other way something like this could be made possible on the Nintendo Switch is via the company’s streaming deals in Japan.

Some high-profile titles – such as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Resident Evil 7 – can be played via streaming services in the region.

However, even if this was announced, it would only be available in Japan, meaning fans in the UK would miss out.

So unless Nintendo makes some big announcements regarding their expanded tech plans in the future, we’re probably not going to get any Rootin Tootin Cowboy Shootin on the Switch anytime soon.

Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch Pro could be announced during E3 2019 and released during the Summer.

It would no doubt help to boost sales of the console and seal its place as the top-selling console of 2019.

Nintendo’s handheld consoles have historically been their biggest sellers.

The Nintendo DS, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance and 3DS have all outsold the SNES, NES, N64, GameCube and Wii U.

The only Nintendo console that has come close is the Wii, which sold 101.63million units during its lifetime.

The Wii is the fifth best selling console of all time, but was still outsold by the Game Boy and Nintendo DS.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Multiplayer: Big Red Dead Online countdown for Rockstar update https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-multiplayer-big-red-dead-online-countdown-for-rockstar-update/ https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-multiplayer-big-red-dead-online-countdown-for-rockstar-update/#respond Sun, 24 Mar 2019 08:16:14 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-multiplayer-big-red-dead-online-countdown-for-rockstar-update/

Fans can look forward to a brand new update dropping for Red Dead Redemption 2 Online in the near future that will add a very exciting single-player feature.

Rockstar has announced that while it will continue to offer smaller patches throughout Spring, a much larger patch is being worked on.

And this is good news for fans who have been waiting for more story missions and other activities on PS4 and Xbox One.

From what has been confirmed by the development team so far, new Showdown Modes and Racing Modes will be arriving throughout April.

These will be more like the stuff already available in the game and will likely be paired with new cosmetic items.

However, this will be followed by a much larger update that has yet to be given a Red Dead Online release date.

The good news is that Rockstar has confirmed it will arrive during Spring 2019, meaning it has to launch before the end of June.

Unfortunately, the big Red Dead 2 update will not arrive in March and sounds like it could be being planned for early May, rather than April.

But plans can change and we could see something much bigger arrive in the coming weeks then we first thought.

So the countdown for the new content can begin for fans hungry to do something new on PS4 and Xbox.

More A Land of Opportunities Missions will be part of the big update, where fans will get to continue Jessica LeClerk’s search for revenge as you explore the path of a Gunslinger or an Outlaw

This will launch alongside new Free Roam Mission givers and mission types, with Rockstar hinting at some single player cameos.

Red Dead Online is set in the years before the single player story so expect to encounter a range of new and familiar faces, they have warned.

One of the main standout additions will be a feature that has worked so well in single-player to make it fun to play.

The introduction of dynamic events will no doubt help fill up the empty online world and will certainly add more flavour to roaming the West.

Players will be able to fight off ambushes, initiate rescues, defend folks in need and more as you travel across the world.

And there are hints that bigger features are being worked on for the rest of 2019, with Rockstar explaining in a new statement: “In the coming months, we will continue to add features and content that will allow players to immerse themselves in the world of Red Dead Online in brand new ways as they choose what kind of life they will make for themselves in frontier America.”

This will come as welcome news to fans hoping to see Red Dead Online catch up with GTA Online when it comes to content.

“Our experience of building other online worlds has helped us create a more evolved foundation for the open spaces of Red Dead Online, but the world of Red Dead Online will evolve in its own unique direction – one in which players have greater freedom to customize their play style uniquely over time, allowing them to sink into the world and their character and feel more connected to the experience of living as cowboys, outlaws and gunslingers in the wilds of 19th century America,” Rockstar adds.

Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer: New Red Dead Online news following shock update https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-multiplayer-new-red-dead-online-news-following-shock-update/ https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-multiplayer-new-red-dead-online-news-following-shock-update/#respond Sun, 10 Mar 2019 09:09:42 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-multiplayer-new-red-dead-online-news-following-shock-update/

Red Dead Redemption 2 Online has new rewards available to fans ready to make a few changes to their Rockstar Social account

But this isn’t the only big updates fans received this week, following news on how Red Dead Online has been performing on PS4 and Xbox One.

It was only recently revealed that the popular multiplayer mode saw a drop in the number of active players in January.

This was revealed in a Super Data report that also noted digital game revenue was down across many platforms for the start of the year.

But while that may have come as a surprise for some fans, there has been other good news shared this week by Rockstar Games.

The studio released a new update this week that they say has improved the game and will be followed by further changes.

This has been helped along by the Red Dead Online beta, which doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon.

“This beta period allows us to shape and improve the fundamentals of that world before the journey of Red Dead Online truly begins,” Rockstar told fans earlier this week.

“As Red Dead Online evolves, we will keep adding and improving features to give you a deeper connection to the world, your character, your horse and your weapons, as well as adding new gameplay that will help players carve out their own fate across the lawless frontier.”

As many suspected, Rockstar is now drip-feeding new content into the game, which could continue over the coming weeks.

The Evans Repeater, a powerful long-range rifle, was added via the latest update, alongside the Fool’s Gold Free Roam event.

But the thing that probably caught the eye of RDR2 fans the most was the announcement of a new care package.

“We appreciate all the support you’ve shown thus far during the beta period, and this week all Red Dead Online Beta participants will receive a special care package (redeemed either at your camp’s lockbox or at any post office across the five states) as a show of our appreciation,” Rockstar adds.

“This includes a host of items to help you survive life on the frontier and tackle any new Daily Challenges in Free Roam or Free Roam Events, on mission or in a Showdown Series.”

Fans can also grab 10 gold bars this weekend if they are willing to add 2-Step Verification to their Social Club account.

With 2-Step Verification enabled, signing in to your account on a new device will require your Nickname or Email, Password, and a Verification Code generated by an Authenticator on your mobile phone, tablet, or browser.

It should be noted that a new Verification Code is required when signing in from an unrecognised device or location.

The good news is that when you perform this task, Rockstar Games will reward you with GTA$ 500,000 in your GTA Online account and 10 Gold Bars in your Red Dead Online Beta account.

They have also promised “Additional future benefits in both GTA Online, and the Red Dead Online Beta,” which sounds like more bonuses are planned.

When it comes to future content, it appears that Rockstar has plenty in the pipeline.

New property-buying options are expected to be added to the game in the coming months, alongside other features found in GTA Online.

A new layer of money-making options will also be announced; however, little has been shared on this subject yet.

New vehicles are expected to be made available to fans who have the cash to buy them, with a War Wagon leaked last year.

A recent Take-Two Interactive earnings call confirmed that the company is completely satisfied with the performance of Red Dead Online.

Take-Two believes Red Dead 2 has built better “early traction” with gamers than GTA Online and are pleased with the player base numbers.

“Obviously the experiences are a work in progress, and there will be a lot more content to come,” Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed.

“But in terms of comparing where Grand Theft Auto Online was in terms of engagement at this stage of the game, versus where Red Dead Online at this stage in the game, Red Dead Online has more engagement, is doing better and has a lot more early traction. Which we think is very encouraging.”

Red Dead Redemption 2 Multiplayer: Big update for Red Dead Online and Rockstar https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-multiplayer-big-update-for-red-dead-online-and-rockstar/ https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-multiplayer-big-update-for-red-dead-online-and-rockstar/#respond Sun, 24 Feb 2019 10:02:46 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-multiplayer-big-update-for-red-dead-online-and-rockstar/

The next Red Dead Redemption 2 Online update can’t come soon enough for a lot of players finding themselves running out of things to do in multiplayer.

The next major expansion for PS4 and Xbox One has been confirmed for this week and will add a lot of new content for all players.

Fans have shared their own thoughts online about the issues facing the game, which is known to have a healthy install base.

“Now the issue is lack of content,” one user writes following the Red Dead Online update announcement.

“There’s isn’t anything to do other than the same 6 mundane & boring activities that’s been there from the start (other than Gun Rush) & that’s being kind because I counted hunting & fishing separate.

“It’s just the same thing over & over & over. I almost think it’s part of the plan because they know people will come back to the game once they add more activities & add houses/farms & businesses.

“But I feel like they are holding out because the people that have been playing the whole time & saving cash will be able to buy a starter home & business & people coming back will want to catch up with the others so they will pay for gold, just so they can be on an even playing field. I legit think it’s part of their marketing plan.”

It won’t be seen as the most positive feedback but should prove useful to the development team trying to shape the new multiplayer experience.

Rockstar Games is following a similar development pattern they took with GTA Online, layering new content and activities over months and years.

And the start of that is being promised on February 26, for Red Dead Online.

Rockstar has revealed that new weapons, cosmetic items, events and Showdown Modes will be going live before the end of March.

New fishing features are being added, while a number of gameplay improvements and features are also being worked on.

A new Fool’s Gold Free Roam Event, where players will compete to control a protective suit of Golden Armor, is one of the main highlights.

Players will have to fight to take down the armour wearer to earn points and claim it as their own, then turn the tables and earn points for kills while wearing the armour.

Something fans have also noticed is that Rockstar Games are holding back on some secret stuff they haven’t announced.

A line in the latest Red Dead 2 statement reads: “Also starting on Tuesday, February 26 lookout for new content and special promotions weekly.”

It certainly sounds like Rockstar is teasing extra content which could be revealed later this week.

Rockstar may also be hoping to drip feed some of this new stuff over the coming weeks, like they do in GTA Online.

That means we could be getting a range of new vehicle options, or perhaps something a little different.

If Rockstar does as they have in the past, next week will see an update go live, followed by new content going live every week after that.

It means March could be littered with new items being added to the game on PS4 and Xbox One.

Fans have been told that new clothing to buy and emotes to unlock is on the way, as well as new Daily Challenges that will help keep players busy.

Other confirmed updates include new story missions being added to the game, which are sorely needed.

Rockstar is known for their large Online expansions, so it’s very hard to tell just how much could be coming next to PS4 and Xbox One.

Dropping new story content each week could prove a masterstroke, but it all remains a big question mark until the next Red Dead Online update goes live.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Online is in a healthy state

There’s no doubt that Red Dead Redemption 2 online has found a big audience on PS4 and Xbox One.

And while fans are still clamouring for new content, it appears Rockstar Games and their parent company are pretty happy with how things are progressing.

While still in beta, Red Dead Online offers only a slice of what the dev team are hoping to achieve.

This is clear when you look at how GTA Online has expanded since its initial launch.

But it’s also fair to say that fans are ready to see more from Rockstar Games, including new missions to complete and things to buy.

A recent earnings call with Take-Two Interactive provided some big answers on the health of Red Dead Online.

It revealed that a lot of people are still playing it and that expectations have been met for the beta.

And that’s very good news for the future of Red Dead Redemption multiplayer mode on all platforms.

If players had been sucked into the single-player but had abandoned the online experience, Rockstar Games may have turned their attention away from further multiplayer DLC.

However, from what was revealed during the report, things are looking good for the future of Red Dead Online.

“It’s a beta offering, of course. And it’s gone about as we had expected,” Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed.

“What’s really exciting is that during December, combined monthly active users of Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online took Rockstar to a new record. We feel great about it.

“Obviously the experiences are a work in progress, and there will be a lot more content to come. But in terms of comparing where Grand Theft Auto Online was in terms of engagement at this stage of the game, versus where Red Dead Online at this stage in the game, Red Dead Online has more engagement, is doing better and has a lot more early traction. Which we think is very encouraging.”

Those last comments are certainly surprising when you think back to just how popular GTA Online was during its first months.

So if Red Dead Online is doing better from an engagement point of view, it can only mean good things for multiplayer mode.

Zelnick wouldn’t confirm whether there were hopes RDR2 would replicate GTA Online’s ongoing success, but it seems positivity is surrounding Red Dead Online.

Red Dead Online will receive further updates in 2019

“The title shipped more in its first 15 days than the first Red Dead Redemption shipped in eight years, and it has the highest opening weekend of any title in entertainment history of any sort – $ 725 million,” Zelnick added.

“So we do feel really good about it. Naturally, it’s doing much better than expected, and we had high expectations. It is very hard to call where we’ll go from here, other than to say we’re thrilled with what it has achieved so far.”

Zelnick also shared insight into how the expanding free-to-play market is being perceived at Take-Two, a company which holds some of the biggest franchises in the world.

“So what we found is you give consumers what they want. That’s often reflected in reviews and Metacritic scores and the Red Dead Redemption 2 type Grant Theft Auto V with the 97 score,” Zelnick revealed.

“They will show up, and they show up in quantity. So I’m not worried at all about someone else establishing a free-to-play approach. As long as our quality continues to be stellar, and that’s a very big “as long as”, that’s what we have to execute against every day.

“Consumers aren’t actually super price sensitive where entertainment is concerned. Or said another way, if we put out something that people don’t want, you can kind of price it whatever price you want, they’re not going to show up for it.”

So no worries about a standalone FTP GTA Online or Red Dead Online popping up anytime soon.

Unfortunately, there was no big announcement on what new content could be coming next to Red Dead Online.

Rockstar Games has provided a short overview of what will be released next, some of which sounds more exciting than others.

New Races and Showdown Modes are coming, activities that are secondary in nature for most online players.

Fans have been told that fresh clothing to buy and emotes to unlock are on the way, as well as new Daily Challenges that will help keep players busy.

Other confirmed updates include new story missions being added to the game, which are sorely needed.

So what could be coming next to Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer that Rockstar hasn’t mentioned yet?

New “War Wagons” with mounted weapons and armour plating have been reported but does not have an official release date at this time.

Big new content, like properties to buy and special missions to enjoy, may not be made available until the end of the beta, which isn’t expected for several weeks at least.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Online UPDATE: PS4 and Xbox RDR2 multiplayer DLC revealed? https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-online-update-ps4-and-xbox-rdr2-multiplayer-dlc-revealed/ https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-online-update-ps4-and-xbox-rdr2-multiplayer-dlc-revealed/#respond Wed, 12 Dec 2018 21:23:45 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-online-update-ps4-and-xbox-rdr2-multiplayer-dlc-revealed/

While Rockstar Games has been focused on removing bugs this week in Red Dead Redemption 2 Online, more content updates are being planned.

So far, the development team have been dedicated to rebalancing the Red Dead Online experience to make it as fun as possible.

Changes to the economy have been made, while the latest Red Dead Redemption 2 1.04 patch looked to remove bugs.

So what might the next Red Dead Redemption 2 Online update include?

While the game remains in beta, there will probably be more rebalancing done to various parts of the RDR2 Online experience.

However, it also seems pretty likely that we’re going to start getting multiplayer modes and activities too.

One player believes they might know what might be coming next to the game.

In a new post on Reddit, it’s been revealed that a “Gun Rush” mode for both solo and teams has been spotted.

This apparently popped up in the Free Roam player menu, before quickly disappearing.

Rockstar Games has not commented on what new content they have planned, only going as far as to say they have big plans.

It’s unclear what this new game mode type will be until Rockstar officially releases it.

We currently don’t have a release date for this new content, and it could be that this was a simple mistake on the part of the development team.

However, while we can’t confirm if or when this new game mode will land, it does seem likely that we’ll see a new Red Dead Redemption 2 update pop up soon.

For those who are still new to Red Dead Online and want to know about the basics, Rockstar has released some tips for what everything means.

Player Menu: Tap d-pad left to bring up the Player Menu. From here you can find many practical tools and features: see other players in the session and your friends, form or join a Posse, manage your Camp and horses, quickly join matches or series, adjust your voice chat options – select Everyone to chat with everyone in your proximity, or isolate your chat to your Posse, Friends or Crew only – and much more.

Fast Travel: Visit Fast Travel signposts to quickly travel to where your Posse or friends are located and various other locations around the map, or return to your camp for a flat fee.

A Land of Opportunities: Visit Horley in Blackwater to start A Land of Opportunities, a cooperative series of story-based missions that can push your honor high or low based on your decisions. You’ll get to know some new characters in Red Dead Online, fight alongside fellow outlaws and earn a pretty penny along the way. If you made all positive honor decisions throughout and want to see how the storyline changes and push your honor in the other direction, you can replay making all negative honor decisions (and vice versa), all while receiving further payout and experience.

Treasure Maps: When you hit Rank 10 you’ll receive a Treasure Map, uncover the treasure for Gold and Cash. You’ll receive Treasure Maps for every 5 ranks after that. There’s also a chance you’ll uncover a Treasure Map when looting enemy bodies after clearing a Hideout or surviving an Ambush.

Catalogue: Hold down left on the d-pad to bring up the Catalogue and pick up provisions, tonics, weapons, ammo and more while on the go. Alternatively, when not in-game, purchases can be made via the web Catalogue on Social Club. Once purchased, you can recover most of your goods from your Camp’s lockbox or the Post Office, new weapons can be found on your horse and clothing will be added to your Wardrobe. Any horses or saddles will go to the Stable.

Ability Cards: Utilize different Ability Card categories (combat, recovery and defense) to help you survive the frontier. You can upgrade Ability Cards through 3 tiers of benefits and you can adjust them at any time to suit any scenario: use combat cards for attacking missions where you’ll rely on your weapons, or switch to defensive cards when escorting a wagon.

Red Dead Redemption 2 patch notes for PS4 and Xbox update LIVE https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-patch-notes-for-ps4-and-xbox-update-live/ https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-patch-notes-for-ps4-and-xbox-update-live/#respond Wed, 12 Dec 2018 04:25:36 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/red-dead-redemption-2-patch-notes-for-ps4-and-xbox-update-live/

Red Dead Redemption 2 update 1.04 went live earlier today, promising to bring new bugfixes to PS4 and Xbox One versions.

And now that the patch notes have been released by Rockstar Games, we know exactly what has been changed.

Split between both Red Dead Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 single-player mode, there’s plenty of good tweaks being made.

The single-player patch notes confirm that Rockstar has followed up on their promise of removing bothersome bugs.

These mostly include problems connected with the auto-save feature, as well as issues with weapons disappearing.

It’s quite a moderate list but will no doubt prove popular with gamers who have been affected by these problems.

RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 SINGLE-PLAYER PATCH NOTES

Fixed an issue where the player could become stuck at 90% when loading an autosave made immediately after the mission ‘Country Pursuits’ if it was the only open mission.

Fixed an issue where players could become stuck on loading screen when trying to restart game after completing the mission ‘County Pursuits’.

Fixed an issue where players could become stuck at 90% when loading a save in Chapter 2 if they had set up camp near Horseshoe Overlook after completing ‘The First Shall Be Last’.

Fixed an issue where players could become stuck at 90% when loading after loading an autosave or manual save.

Fixed an issue where players could lose access to all weapons and equipment in their weapon wheel after completing a mission replay in Guarma.

For those who are getting stuck into Red Dead Online, this latest update does not contain any extra content.

Most of the changes are focused on removing bugfixes, some more troublesome than others.

One bizarre glitch that saw injured horses being replaced by Scrawny Nags after leaving the Stables has been removed.

As mentioned above, today’s Red Dead Redemption 2 update has been primed to deal with issues with bugs.

The good news is that Rockstar Games are likely to add more content to Red Dead Online in the near future.

GTA 5 Online just saw a new update go live, and if Rockstar is going to keep to their alternating patching plan, that should mean something coming for RDR2 Online next.

RED DEAD ONLINE PATCH NOTES

General stability improvements.

Fixed the issue where players removing an injured horse from the stables without healing it would result in the Scrawny Nag appearing when whistling for their horse.

Fixed an issue where players could not exit the house in the Mission ‘Love and Honor’.

Fixed an issue where players would be unable to load beyond 90% in the Red Dead Online beta unless they entered Story mode first.

Fixed an issue where players could become stuck at a black screen after a Posse leader quit the lobby in the mission ‘Love and Honor’.

Fixed an issue where players could crash to the Xbox Home screen when resuming from a suspended state after connecting to Xbox Live services.

Fixed an issue where players could be kicked from Rockstar game services with error 0x99395004 after completing part 2 of the mission ‘Honor Among Horse Thieves’.

The new Red Dead Redemption 2 1.04 update weighs in at 1.32GB on PS4 and is available to download on both platforms.

“Red Dead Redemption 2,” out now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, is one of the most detailed video games ever developed.

Just how detailed is the game exactly?

While there are tons of activities and storylines to explore in “Red Dead Redemption 2,” Joe from the YouTube gaming channel DefendTheHouse recently decided to spend a full day in the game just following around a handful of non-playable characters, or NPCs, and nothing more.

The results are fascinating. These characters hardly play a role in the game, yet they still have unique schedules and characteristics.

Take a look at what happens when you follow random people around in “Red Dead Redemption 2” all day:

Here’s our first NPC. Let’s call him Shepherd. Around 8 a.m., Shepherd heads off to work.

He tends to sheep at the farm between 8:30 a.m. and noon.

Red Dead beta UPDATE: Red Dead Redemption Online making money changes revealed https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-beta-update-red-dead-redemption-online-making-money-changes-revealed/ https://briefnews.eu/red-dead-beta-update-red-dead-redemption-online-making-money-changes-revealed/#respond Tue, 04 Dec 2018 05:32:23 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/red-dead-beta-update-red-dead-redemption-online-making-money-changes-revealed/

Plenty of feedback has been given to Rockstar Games following the launch of the Red Dead Online beta.

This included a lot of fans complaining about the price of items in Red Dead Redemption 2 Online.

While Rockstar appears to be addressing the realism of the time period, rifles and other top pieces of gear appear to be locked behind hours of grinding.

And this is important as Rockstar Games will also be using microtransactions to support the development of Red Dead Online in the future.

So getting the balance right during the Red Dead beta is very important.

The good news is that the development team have acknowledged the issues raised by fans and are now planning to do some adjustments.

This includes changing how much things cost, as well as balancing how making money works in Red Dead Redemption 2 Online.

“Thanks to everyone who has participated in the Beta so far, we appreciate your help in testing the game!” a message from Rockstar explains.

“Your feedback from these early days will be instrumental in helping formulate updates to every aspect of the experience.

“Our current areas of focus include the in-game economy, which will require some additional balancing in order to ensure all activities are appropriately rewarding and fun, as well as some persistent bugs that are causing some players to be kicked from sessions.

“The game has been developed so that we will be able to quickly make any adjustments like these, and we plan to get updates out as early as the end of this week with more updates to come next week.

“Feedback from the community has been invaluable, and we will continue to keep you regularly updated as things progress.”

It hasn’t been specified whether the economy balancing will be released later this week, or if tweaks will be made across both weeks.

Whatever does happen this week, trying to solve either issue will no doubt prove popular with fans.

Red Dead Online appears to be building a strong audience among fans, although fans will want to see more offered in the months to come.

The Online side of the game is missing out on dynamic events that help fill the world, a huge upgrade on the original RDR.

But that isn’t something that happens online and usually requires other players to fill the role.

Red Dead Online will need other things to replace the things that made the single-player experience so immersive.

And it will be up to Rockstar Games to start showcasing these things following the end of the RDR2 beta.

Rockstar Games has not said how long the new beta will run, although it will likely last until early 2019.

“As with any Beta period, we plan to take the time necessary throughout to make Red Dead Online a complete, fun and fully-functional experience, which may take several weeks or months as we continually work to fix bugs, improve systems and implement player feedback into current or future plans,” a message from Rockstar explains.
