The Good Morning Britain team welcomed Rocky, Britain’s oldest stuntman onto the show today, to talk about his career and show off some moves.

And, Richard Madeley, who is currently standing in for Piers Morgan, was keen to get involved and learn a fight move.

He could be seen standing opposite Rocky, who after a countdown from three, went to punch Richard.

The presenter was not harmed in any way as the move was simply a stunt and only appeared to be hit in the face.

Richard gasped “Ooh!” as he pretended to be in pain while raising his hand to his face.

He quickly turned back to Rocky and insisted: “Do it again!”

Rocky obliged before Richard turned to his co-hosts and explained: “And that’s how it works. Did that look real?”

Kate Garraway replied: “That looked really real. Are you okay? Are you okay?”

But before Richard could reply, Rocky then insisted they should shoot the stunt from another angle.

He asked Kate to hold up her phone and film the stunt from the side.

Slightly nervous, Richard double-checked: “Okay, are we at the safe distance?”

Rocky assured him everything was okay before pretending once again to punch the presenter in the face.

The official Good Morning Britain account shared a clip of the moment with their 525,000 followers.

They captioned the video: “The moment Richard gets punched in the face on live TV @richardm56.

“Okay, not really – we promise no Richards were harmed in the making of this stunt…”

Those tuning into the show were largely impressed by the segment and took to Twitter to comment.

“You are a ledge rocky @gmb #gmb,” one viewer wrote.

Another added: “Richard Madeley faking punches with and aging stuntman on live morning tv. Re-enacting the security man at the supermarket check out when caught! #GMB.”

It comes after Richard slammed a protestor taking part in the Extinction Rebellion Climate Change protests in London on yesterday’s show.

Environmental activist Dr Gail Bradbook was on the show to explain why it was important to raise awareness about the issue.

But during one part of the debate, Richard cut her off, seemingly frustrated she was giving a “mission statement” rather than addressing the actions of the protestors.

Richard snapped: “Can we spare the mission statement? We’re not here to have a big debate about global warming.”

Contrary to popular belief, most of the time when a rocket launches it does not go straight up into outer space. Rather, shortly after launch, most rockets will begin to pitch over into the downrange direction, limiting gravity drag and stress on the vehicle. Often, by 80 or 100km, a rocket is traveling nearly parallel to the Earth’s surface before releasing its payload into orbit.

However, in August of last year, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch from California did not make such a pitch over maneuver. Rather, the Formosat-5 mission launched vertically and stayed that way for most of its ascent into space. The rocket could do this because the Taiwanese payload was light for the Falcon 9 rocket, weighing only 475kg, and bound for an orbit 720km above the Earth’s surface.

As a result of this launch profile, the rocket maintained a nearly vertical trajectory all the way through much of the Earth’s ionosphere, which ranges from about 60km above the planet to 1,000km up. In doing so, the Falcon 9 booster and its second stage created unique, circular shockwaves. The rocket launch also punched a temporary, 900-km-wide hole into the plasma of the ionosphere.

Alabama is the college football national champions for the fifth time in nine years, but it wasn’t easy.

The Crimson Tide needed a thrilling comeback in the second half, led by a true freshman back-up quarterback, and a long touchdown in overtime to get the win. They also got some help in the fourth quarter from a linebacker whom a lot of people felt shouldn’t have even been in the game.

It started late in the third quarter after Alabama kicked a field goal to cut the lead to 20-10. Any momentum Bama seemed to be gaining nearly went out the window on the ensuing kickoff when linebacker Mekhi Brown struck a Georgia player in the face with what appeared to be a punch.

Brown was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, but luckily for him and for Alabama, he was not ejected.

On the sideline, he got an earful from head coach Nick Saban.

Apparently somebody else said something that Brown did not like as a few moments later, he was seen on the sideline trying to fight a coach or staff member.

At this point, most assumed Brown’s night was over. He might not have been ejected, but it seemed as if he had at least earned a benching for the rest of the game.

Wrong.

In the fourth quarter, Alabama kicked another field goal to make it a one-score game, 20-13. On the kickoff, Brown was back in the game and he delivered a huge hit to stop the runner.

It was not the biggest play of the game, but it was important.

In a game where field position mattered all night, Georgia was pinned back on their own 14-yard line. Alabama would force a punt after just three plays. With decent field position of their own at that point, the Crimson Tide marched down and scored the game-tying touchdown.

Who knows what would have happened, but maybe Alabama doesn’t force overtime if Brown had been benched or sent to the locker room before making his only tackle of the game.

She told host Andy Cohen about her feud with Aguilera in the early Noughties: “Actually, she swung at me in a club. Hilarious!”

“I was like, ‘What’s happening right now? What’s happening?’”

Apparently the whole diva drama semmed from their clash over who could and would sing the showstopping highest notes on the smash hit Lady Marmalad track from the movie Moulin Rouge…

Pink says now that they are older and wiser, the two powerhouse pair have kissed and made up. Or hugged it out, at least.

She said: “Deep down I’ve had bad days, too. She’s a really sweet person. We made up on The Voice. I mean, it was funny, I laughed. I hadn’t seen her in years and years and years.

“We became moms. We grew up. We hugged it out. It’s that simple. I feel so good about that.”

Kim Kardashian, however, should be warned. She has not been forgiven yet…

Pink has been famously critical of the reality star in the past. Last year she tweeted a pointed post aimed at Kardashian’s latest bathroom selfie and pointing out that some people used their brains, talent and hard work not their bodies to build their lives. 

Bette Midler has also made similar coments.

Pink’s main issue these days with Kardashian is rather touching as she betrays a hint of hero worship in the way she challenges Karadashian after she slammed Midler online.

Pink told Cohen: “Honestly, she went in on Bette Midler.

“If you go in on Bette Midler, you’re probably gonna hear from me. You just don’t talk to Bette Midler… about anything.”

Everton’s clash with Lyon was sent into chaos after Ashley Williams and the Lyon keeper came together.

The tussle spilled off the pitch and fans became involved.

One fan was seen trying to throw a punch while holding a child.

And Everton have moved to ban the spectator who struck the Lyon goalkeeper.

“Club Officials have reviewed the footage of an incident that occurred in the 64th minute of the game against Olympique Lyonnais where supporters towards the front of the lower Gwladys Street End became involved in a confrontation between players,” a club statement said.

“We have identified one individual whom action will now be taken against. This will include a ban from attending future Everton fixtures and the Club registering a formal complaint with Merseyside Police.”

The Merseyside Police made an appeal for anyone with information “which could assist the investigation” and asked them to contact the force on 0151 777 4065 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Both clubs are also expected to be subject to disciplinary proceedings from European governing body UEFA following the melee, which began after Wales defender Williams had clashed with the Lyon goalkeeper.

Players from both sides became embroiled in the fracas, which moved to the advertising hoardings, where one Toffees fan, holding a child, appeared to push Lopes in the head before hitting out at him again.

While that was occurring, Williams seemed to raise his hand to Lucas Tousart’s face. However, he avoided dismissal with both the Everton captain and Lyon’s match-winner Bertrand Traore booked.

Speaking after the Toffees’ 2-1 loss, Williams told BT Sport 2 of the scuffle: “It’s what happens, it’s football. It is what it is.

“It’s high emotions. We want to win the game, they want to win the game and stuff happens. That was just one of those times.”

It was, however, referee Bas Nijhuis who under-fire Toffees manager Ronald Koeman blamed for his players losing their cool during a defeat which leaves them facing Europa League elimination having taken just one point from three games.

“I think the irritation grows in the game for our players and in my opinion that was the problem by the referee,” Koeman argued.

“The referee was Dutch but he didn’t do anything against the theatre of some of the Lyon players. (Nabil) Fekir in the first half dived 10 times.

“I understand with my players, that comes out of frustration.”

It compounded another miserable night for Everton and Koeman, who is under mounting pressure with his team having won just two of their previous dozen fixtures.

“I think the performance was under the level in the first half – a lot of mistakes, a lot of doubts, players without any confidence,” the Dutch coach said.

A violent confrontation between a police officer and a suspected jaywalker erupted in northern Sacramento, California. Facebook Live and cruiser dashcam videos of the incident are now primary evidence in a criminal investigation of the officer.

Nandi Cain, Jr. kept on walking and ignored commands to stop from a Sacramento police officer around 5:00pm Monday, when the officer accused him of jaywalking, KCRA reported.

“Hey, can I talk to you real quick, bud? Can you come here please? Come here, bud,” the officer is heard saying in a dashcam video released by the Sacramento Police Department. SPD voluntarily released the recording, but chose not to reveal the officer’s name, only that he’d been on the force for two years.

“You’re jaywalking,” the officer is heard saying, to which Cain responds, “I looked both ways.”

An argument began on a sidewalk and spilled out into the street of a residential area, where Cain, standing a few feet away from the officer, alludes to the officer’s gun and says, “I don’t have nothing” before removing his jacket and standing with his hands open and arms to his sides.

“If you a real man, you can put your gun away, and you can fight me like a real man if that’s what you want to do,” Cain says.

At that point, the officer charges Cain, taking him down to the ground by his neck. A car that had stopped close to them temporarily obscures the view of the dashcam, but moments later the car veers right and the officer is seen repeatedly punching Cain before radioing to his dispatch, “I’m in a fight.”

The officer throws at least a dozen punches, and Cain appears to be blocking or returning punches while being pinned on his back. Moments later, backup arrives, and other officers assist in handcuffing Cain.

“Why could you not just comply?” a voice is heard saying.

Cain was booked into jail for resisting arrest, but SPD dropped that charge the next day.

A Facebook Live video uploaded by Naomi Montaie was also reviewed along with police dashcams, which the department said revealed “unacceptable conduct” on the officer’s part.

“It’s a disturbing incident. Based on the video, we don’t condone this behavior with any of our officers,” Sgt. Bryce Heinlein said. “We are much better than that. We hold ourselves to a very high standard.”

The officer was placed on administrative leave before a criminal investigation was announced Tuesday. The investigation, once completed, will be handed over to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, which will make any decision to press charges against the officer.

“We’re also reviewing our training to determine if our training starting from the academy level is still at a state and nationwide standard,” Deputy Police Chief Mike Bray said.

Lawyers acting on behalf of Everton star Ross Barkley say he “was the victim of an unprovoked attack”.

Merseyside Police says it is looking into CCTV footage that appears to show Barkley being punched by a man at Santa Chupitos cocktail bar in Liverpool.

A statement from Barkley’s lawyers read: “We can confirm that Ross was the victim of an unprovoked attack by a stranger who approached him on Sunday evening.”

Barkley is seen exchanging words with another male near the bar, before being hit by a sucker-punch and falling backwards.

The England international the loses his footing as more punched are thrown before another man steps in to control the attacker.

Twitter user Heavy Kid posted a video of the incident along with the caption: “Barkley getting bingoed.”

He added: “Being told was last night.”

The incident is said to have happened hours after Everton beat Leicester 4-2 at Goodison Park yesterday, with Barkley impressing for Ronald Koeman’s men.

Everton have not commented and no complaint has been made to police, but they are viewing the footage.

Barkley played the full 90 minutes for the Toffees, after which boss Koeman told him to sign a new contract or leave the club.

“We offer him a new contract and then there are two possibilities: one is sign that contract and if he doesn’t sign the contract we need to sell the player,” Koeman said.

SEMI Radradra’s former partner has told a court how the NRL star punched her in the face during an argument, then afterwards confessed to their pastor that “I used my hands on her”.

A tearful Perina Ting on Monday told the Parramatta Local Court that Radradra punched her on the cheek at their Telopea unit in western Sydney in November 2014 after an argument about her mother being unable to visit from Fiji.

Ms Ting said she had recently given birth and had wanted her mother to visit, but she wasn’t able to because Radradra hadn’t filled in the paperwork.

She said the couple argued about that, then Radradra became upset because she spoke to her mother for too long on the phone.

She smashed the phone on the wall and Radradra “stood up and he punched me”, Ms Ting testified.

She said she locked herself in the toilet and heard Radradra call their pastor and ask him to come over.

“So the pastor came and he said ‘What happened?’ and Semi told him that we’d got in an argument and he punched me,” she told the court.

She said Radradra told the pastor in Fijian that: “I used my hands on her.”

The pastor spoke to the couple and said “This is your family, you should love them” and read bible verse, Ms Ting testified.

Radradra on Monday silently watched Ms Ting give her evidence. He is facing a hearing charged with two counts of common assault.

The second charge relates to an allegation he pushed Ms Ting against a wall and knocked her unconscious.

A third allegation that he kicked her in the stomach when she was pregnant has been dropped.

An arrest warrant had to be issued for the 24-year-old at the time of his last court appearance in November, after he failed to show Parramatta Local Court while still in Fiji, before fronting to training two days later.

His passport was seized on that occasion, however he was given permission to travel to and play in the Auckland Nines last weekend.

Radradra has already signed a one-year deal to shift to French rugby union at the end of the year with Top 14 club Toulon, with an option for a second season in 2018-19.

The NRL and Parramatta will wait on the outcome of the court matter before determining any potential penalty being handed down to the one-time Australian representative.

The hearing continues.
