Epic Games has brought back one of its most popular weekly Fortnite challenges and a lot of fans are trying to complete it. One of the new Week 2 battle pass tasks offers a scavenger hunt to complete, with players instructed to play sheet music on pianos found on the map. Playing the sheet music in Fortnite is the first part of the quest, with Epic Games refining it slightly from last season. In season 6, players had to find the Sheet Music in Pleasant Park before they could play it on the pianos. However, this time Fortnite fans just need to find the pianos, as the sheet music is already available at the locations. Because of these changes, Fortnite fans should know that there are only two parts to this challenge, which will reward them when completed with a Battle Star worth XP. From what has been posted online, players will want to complete each stage of this challenge in different matches. However, this also means finishing the match by dying or earning a Victory Royale against other players. PLAYING PLEASANT PARK SHEET MUSIC Unlike in the past, playing the Pleasant Park sheet music is the first part of the challenge and the easiest part when you know where to look. Fans will want to head over to the B3 map grid to find the first big piano that needs to be played. Players will need to scale the mountain west of Pleasant Park to reach the piano, which will probably be a pretty popular spot. To play the music, you have to step onto the keys in the right order otherwise it won’t count. Fortnite fans need to play E, G, C, D, and E and the piano will play the rest of the tune. After this, you can move onto the second part of the quest, which means relocating to the Lonely Lodge area of the map. PLAYING THE LONELY LODGE PIANO The Lonely Lodge piano will be your next port of call in this Fortnite Season 7 Week 2 Challenge. This will mean heading over to the J5 Map grid location, where the piano can be found. It’s just north of the abandoned hero mansion, making it a little easier to spot among the trees. It’s situated on a cliff near the ocean and includes a slightly longer list of notes that need to be played. Playing the right notes is key, which are currently listed as C, C, C, F, F, F, E, F, G, A, A#, G, and A. If you manage to pull this off you will hear the notes played back to you with the correct pace. After completing both tasks, the player will be rewarded with a new battle star that adds XP to your Battle Pass. It should also be noted that this is an exclusive Battle Pass Challenge, meaning you can only complete it if you have paid for a season 7 battle pass. Fortnite Week 7 Challenges will go live later today in Battle Royale, but it’s hard to tell if they will prove as popular as some of the more recent tasks. Hunting down Fortnite Sheet Music in Pleasant Park and Retail Row, as well as playing it on giant pianos, proved popular with fans. While you have to have a Battle Pass to enjoy it, it was certainly a different style of Scavenger Hunt than fans are used to. And today will see new Week 7 challenges released by Epic Games, replacing the ones that have been completed. FORTNITE WEEK 7 CHALLENGES A new list of Fortnite Week 7 Challenges has been leaked online before their announcement today. Epic Games has been changing things around a little in recent weeks, so there’s a good chance that one or two of these will be different. However, from what we have seen so far, these look to be close to the Fortnite Week 7 Challenges that will be going live today: FREE CHALLENGES BATTLE PASS CHALLENGES Fingers crossed that Fortnite fans won’t have to deforest the island everytime they fly onto the island. There aren’t any new challenge that appears to scream interesting scavenger hunt, but like what was mentioned above, Epic Games could be being sneaky. Some of these challenges may be switched out at the last minute, so it will be worth keeping an eye for the latest news. FIND SHEET MUSIC IN PLEASANT PARK For those who still haven’t completed the “Find a stand with Sheet Music in Pleasant Park” challenge, here are a few pointers. It’s located in the very first house in the central-north area of Pleasant Park, the one that used to be covered in Halloween decorations. Heading to C3 should help you narrow down the location on the map, the house had a giant spider in the garden outside, with the sheet music found on the lower floor. After you complete this, you move onto stage 2 – Play The Sheet Music At A Piano. The Piano can be found pretty close to the house and doesn’t mean a huge amount of travel. It’s on the big hilltop just west of the Halloween house, in the corner of B3 on the map. To play the music, you have to step onto the keys in the order found on the sheet you discovered in Pleasant Park. SHEET MUSIC IN RETAIL ROW Stage three of this challenge is tracking down the Sheet Music in Retail Row, which can be found in a building on the Eastern side of town. This means heading for the 5H marker on the map and looking in the building that is on the right side of the street, second from the last on the block. After interacting with the Sheet Music found in Retail Row, fans will then need to head over to the big piano to play it. It isn’t far from the Sheet Music and is found on a hill just south-east of the shops. This would be on the edge of the I6 marker found on the Fortnite map. After completing all of these stages, the player should be rewarded with 10 battle stars, worth 1,000 XP. New Fortnite challenges have been released by Epic Games and they appear to be some of the most popular among fans for a while. One of the new Week 6 battle pass tasks provides the game’s first scavenger hunt, with players instructed to find sheet music and then play it on pianos found across the map. Finding the sheet music in Fortnite is the first part of the quest and means travelling to select locations. Stage 1 is finding a stand with Sheet Music in Pleasant Park, which is followed by several other steps in the process. There are a total of four parts to this challenge, which will reward the player with a top tier battle star, worth 1,000 XP. It has also been reported that each stage of this challenge must be completed in different matches, meaning you should do each part individually, as well as finish the match by dying or winning. THE PLEASANT PARK SHEET MUSIC Find a stand with Sheet Music in Pleasant Park is the first part of the challenge and the easiest bit to complete when you know where to look. It’s actually located in the very first house in the central-north area of Pleasant Park, the one with the Halloween decorations. Heading to C3 should help you narrow down the location on the map, the house has a giant spider in the garden outside, with the sheet music found on the lower floor. After you complete this, you move onto stage 2 – Play The Sheet Music At A Piano. The Piano can be found pretty close to the house and doesn’t a huge amount of travel. It’s on the big hilltop just west of the Halloween house, in the corner of B3 on the map. To play the music, you have to step onto the keys in the order found on the sheet you discovered in Pleasant Park. After completing this you, move onto stage 3, which means relocating to Retail Row. SHEET MUSIC IN RETAIL ROW The Sheet Music in Retail Row can be found in a building on the Eastern side of town. Playing this Sheet Music is a little harder, and fans will need to start on the right side of the piano where the high notes are. After completing all of these stages, the player should be rewarded with 10 battle stars, worth 1,000 XP. It should be noted that this is a hard Battle Pass Challenge, meaning you can only complete it if you have paid for a season 6 battle pass. Thankfully, Finding Your Feet is such a pleasant surprise it almost makes up for last year’s Hampstead. Imelda Staunton is Sandra, a stuffy suburbanite who discovers her police chief husband Mike (John Sessions) is having an affair. After a humiliating confrontation at his retirement party Sandra has no choice but to bolt to the scruffy, inner-city, London flat of her estranged, free-spirited, sister Bif (Celia Imrie). The first half milks the reunion for gentle laughs as Bif’s bohemian lifestyle causes Sandra to break out in a severe case of the Hyacinth Bucket face wobbles. But when she agrees to join Bif’s dance class, Staunton gets an opportunity to really flex her acting chops. With the help of down-to-earth Charlie (Timothy Spall, enjoying himself as a romantic lead) she begins to get her groove back. It’s not likely to trouble the award panels but it’s big-hearted, touching, smartly-written and beautifully performed by a hugely talented cast.

ASUS has been teasing us with details of its Windows Mixed Reality headset, but now is ready to let folks try it for themselves. At IFA 2017, we were also able to spend a decent amount of time using the Windows Mixed Reality controllers that will ship with it. The short version of it all is that both devices have no business being this good, and it bodes very well for the future of the platform.
Most of the technology inside the headset is common across all of the manufacturers, but ASUS has worked hard to make its offering unique where it can. For instance, the company used a polygonal-art covering for the visor, ensuring that it looks much nicer than, say, Acer’s View Master-esque offering. Similarly, ASUS’ headset feels much lighter than its rivals, and the company included an antimicrobial cushion on the inside.
The headset, like its brothers, has inside-out tracking, which uses the two front-mounted cameras to track the controllers. That makes it significantly cheaper than Vive or Rift handsets, which require additional peripherals for tracking. Before testing, my concern was that the cheaper technology would compromise the accuracy and reliability of the controllers. That concern was misplaced, and the system actually works really rather well.
The controllers themselves are designed by Microsoft, and clearly sail close to the style laid down by Oculus for its Touch paddles. The biggest difference is a less gaming-focused button layout, with a touchpad, Windows key and thumb stick on the main platform. Your other fingers fall naturally around the other triggers that are situated on the slender hand sticks. They scream that they can be used for business just as naturally as play, as Microsoft is wont to do with its hardware design.
On the outside ring, you’ll find a halo of 32 small LEDs that the headset uses to pinpoint the position of the controllers in the air. But even when pulling my hands well beyond the visor’s field of view, the tracking remained pretty reliable. One of the demo titles required me to pull weapons out from over my shoulder, and the tracking remained impeccable.
The funny thing is that, personally, I was concerned that these headsets would attempt to please two masters and fail for both of them. After all, the inside-out tracking wouldn’t be as accurate or reliable as more expensive alternatives, and its price was too high for a casual purchase. I’m happy to admit that I was wrong, and that I’m actually pretty excited for this technology, especially now that it’s compatible with Steam VR games.
ASUS doesn’t yet know when its hardware will make its debut beyond the end of this year or the start of the next. Although it would be lunacy if it missed the holiday season given that this may be many people’s first attempt at buying VR gear for their homes. Either way, when it does arrive, it’ll set you back €449, and you could expect it to set you back around $ 500-ish when US pricing is announced.

Here in New York City, it was a beautiful spring day with temperatures hitting 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Life was good, and it almost made you forget all the troubles the world faces at the moment. Then, you find out that it was basically the same frickin’ temperature in Antarctica and the planet is screwed.
An Argentine research base experienced temperatures of 63.5°F according to an announcement from the U.N. weather agency today. That would tie the previous record high set by the Esperanza base on March 24th, 2015.
Spring has arrived early for much of the United States this year, and that is problematic. Disease carriers like mosquitoes get a head start, crops can be effected by the sudden return of frost, allergy sufferers get hit hard, and scientist’s anxieties are jumping off the charts.
But none of those problems compare to the potential troubles that could come if climate change ends up causing Antarctica to melt. In the worst case scenario, sea levels would rise by 200 feet and pretty much all previous problems on Earth would seem trivial.
In slightly comforting news, a higher record temperature was set in 1982 for the whole Antarctic region, which is considered anywhere south of 60 degrees latitude. On January 30th that year, Signy Island in the South Atlantic experienced a very refreshing 67.6°F day. So, it’s not like this is unprecedented but all trends indicate that things will just keep heating up.
