While working on the photo series “Long Summer Days,” which chronicle his daughter’s struggle with small-town, small-house, only-child boredom, Streitberger wondered if that series’ themes – conveyed there in a documentary-style form – could work in a style that was “more abrupt.”

“I create these photographs utilizing negative panoramic space, breaking the quotidian of the photographic frame,” Streitberger tells Flavorwire. “Most studio or portrait work is in the standard 35mm aspect ratio, where  panorama is reserved for landscapes.  I wanted to break those rules. I feel that the panoramic frame in this body of work isolated the subject and complements the idea of the project. I did not want to be restricted by the frame.”

Her husband was accepted into a prestigious Masters program at the Danish Academy of Music, and she found herself deciding to sell her photography studio, uproot her family (including her young daughter), and move to Copenhagen. “I didn’t take a single moment to look back,” she writes on her website. “My husband is knee-deep in his Master’s program, my daughter is knee-deep in muddy puddles and I’m still making art… Only now I make art for Denmark.”

As is often the case, her outsider’s eye has proven an advantage in this foreign land — she sees things that those who’ve lived there longer might take for granted. And from that eye comes this series of remarkable long-exposure images, taken during the long, dark winter of Copenhagen. Conceptual photography provided me with a safe space to explore my stories around identity. I could create separate worlds, without judgment, in which to depict these stories. A visual aid to make sense of my internal universe.

“I gravitated to only using female models to convey concepts. I found that I was able to live vicariously through my subjects. Through them I could explore and bring to the surface unexpressed parts of my identity — the feminine aspects.” The result is work that’s both aesthetically thrilling and subtextually thoughtful, working through questions and concerns while crafting compositions of beauty and grace.

The 2018 World Cup has had its fair share of “must-see” moments.

From Japan and Colombia fans staying after the final whistles of their respective group matches to tidy up after themselves, to Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi kicking the ball into his own face when attempting to celebrate a goal.

The quality of actual soccer has been high with Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku, and Cristiano Ronaldo all hitting the ground running in the race for the Golden Boot.

But the 2018 World Cup is yet to produce one iconic photograph that sums up a match, or even the competition as a whole.

There is a lot of soccer still to play, so the Russian tournament may yet produce one. But, in the meantime, photo agency Getty has published a list of what it considers to be the most iconic photos throughout World Cup history.

Here they are in chronological order.

When most kids are 17, they are hitting balls against the garage door. Not Pelé. The Brazil striker introduced himself to the entire world at the 1958 World Cup when he was just a teenager. Pelé scored six goals at the tournament, including a brace in the final against host nation Sweden — a 5-2 win for Brazil. He remains, to this day, the youngest player to score in a World Cup final.

Do not adjust your mobile, desktop, or whatever device you are using to access this web-page. Your eyes are not deceiving you. This is a photo of England’s Geoff Hurst — but he appears headless. He does, of course, have a head and was seen celebrating having scored against Argentina in the 1966 quarterfinal. Getty says this photo is iconic because of its imperfection, thus demonstrating the pace of the game.

The image of England captain Bobby Moore getting carried off the pitch by his compatriots is one of the most enduring images in all of sports, let alone soccer. Moore, the hometown hero, led the Three Lions to the 1966 World Cup title at home — Wembley Stadium in London. It remains England’s first and only win.

Google Maps is the best way to see a slice of life in locations around the world.

Designed as a way for people to get around in locations both new and familiar, to has also become a way to see people going about their daily lives.

But this means seeing everything from the mundane to the frankly bizarre.

And one man has been photographed doing something unusual in Tasmania, Australia.

The man, dressed in casual chinos and a navy top, can be seen sitting on a chair outside a cafe.

People walk past him without giving him a second glance – but there is a reason why they might be tempted to look at him again.

The man is not sat on his chair alone, but it isn’t a human companion who joins him.

In fact, he is not even passing the time with a dog, but instead is holding on to a small alpaca.

The unusual pet stands calmly in front of the man while he relaxes in the shade.

It is not at all clear why the man has an alpaca with him, as there are no other alpacas nearby and the duo are sat in a busy residential area.

Alpacas are generally docile and quiet animals, and this one seems to be no exception.

The man relaxing with the alpaca is not the only surprising thing caught on the website.

One girl was left red-faced after she was caught by the street car camera right at the moment she did something mortifying.

The camera took a shot just as the girl fell over on a steep hill.

Dressed in school uniform, the girl was with a group of friends – all of whom are stood around looking on in amusement as she lays on the ground.

The girl’s arms are swinging and her legs are elevated as she attempts to get back up.

In the fray she somehow lost her backpack, which is seen flung just behind her.

Google has blurred her face and those of her friends to make sure she isn’t easily identifiable.

The embarrassing moment happend in in Santa Catarina, Neuvo León, Mexico back in 2009.

The residential area is on the edge of a national park which can be seen in the background behind the unlucky girl.
