And at the end of this Wednesday’s show, Banana had to split. (Read a full recap of the episode.)

The singer inside the big yellow fruit suit? Poison frontman/Celebrity Apprentice winner/Rock of Love star Bret Michaels — who tells TVLine that his years of touring with his rock band couldn’t prepare him for this specific flavor of surrealism.

“The first episode where we were getting ready to come out on that stage — I mean, I always get excited to perform — but my heart was pounding,” he says, laughing. “I had a moment where I thought, ‘My god, I’m a human banana.’”

We spoke to Michaels from his home during the coronavirus quarantine, where he’s got a lot going on. His book, Bret Michaels: Auto-Scrap-Ography, Vol. I, is coming out in May. He’s been engaging in a variety of home-improvement projects, backyard concerts and go-kart rides. When we spoke, he was (naturally) a bit preoccupied: His mom, Marjorie Sychak, had undergone pacemaker surgery the day before.

The Masked Singer Bret Michaels Season 3 BananaTVLINE | Before we get to Masked Singer stuff, how is your mom doing?
First of all, thank you for asking that. She’s doing very good. I called her twice yesterday after the operation and then this morning. She’s really doing good… My mom’s a fighter, and she’s in good spirits for someone that should be not feeling too well, she seemed in good spirits. Thank you for asking. That means the world to me.

TVLINE | It’s a scary thing under normal circumstances, then you add on our current circumstances — plus having to answer silly questions about The Masked Singer on top of that.
We will make this so much fun. I want to say this: I’m all about staying mentally positive and then the rest falls into place. These are actually fun interviews. Like The Masked Singer. I’ve said this to everybody: It’s a show that I’ve watched. I watched with my family, my kids. Doing it, besides exciting, it is the most surreal experience. It’s the only time in life you’re completely, for me, I was completely in and completely out of my comfort zone. I was a human bandana banana. [Laughs]

…Everyone I’ve worked with there — and I’ve worked on a lot of different reality TV and different shows — everyone there treats you great. But it is, without a doubt, like the Secret Service. I’m thinking to myself the whole time, “There’s no way you can hide this.” I’ve never seen a show take so serious the hiding of your identity. That was the most painful part for me, because I’m a handshaker, hugger, talker, how you doin’? And I’m walking by everybody on the crew, and I knew them from other stuff, I’m thinking, “I’m a real-life Spider-Man. I’m Peter Parker and I can’t tell nobody in this outfit!” [Laughs] I want to walk up to them, give them a big hug, ask them how the family’s been. And they’re walking by me, you feel like a ghost. There’s no talking, no contact. It is surreal.

The Masked Singer Bret Michaels Video Banana Season 3 InterviewTVLINE | I’m wondering what 1990 Bret Michaels would think if he knew that in 2020, he’d be singing in a banana costume and loving it.
[Laughs] Now you remember, in my career, we’ve had not only many years of playing — if the world ever goes back to almost-normal again, to be able to go out and do the stadiums that long into it, and just remember, we were announcing I was playing solo shows and then I did a… I love having a great time. This may have been one of my actual outfits at a backstage party in the ’80s. [Laughs] I think I may have worn this outfit on one of my let’s just say good, insanely wild nights. It may have been a good night in Minnesota, if you know what I mean. [Laughs]

TVLINE | Were you always rocking a bandana under the mask?
Always. Listen, that’s my power. That’s my energy. Brings me good mojo… By the way, I hope you’re safe and healthy and doing well.

TVLINE | I’m good, thank you. I’m in New York, so it’s been weird.
I knew that, that’s why I was asking. I didn’t want to bring it up at first.

TVLINE | You’re like, “You’re in an epicenter. How’s that going?”
[Laughs] I was just gonna say!

TVLINE | You had a moment when you were performing “Achy Breaky Heart” that you forgot the lyrics, and in a subsequent clue package, you mentioned that it was a byproduct of some health problems you’ve had. Has that happened to you in concerts, as well?
Let me answer that in two phases. Number one: Absolutely in my real life since the brain hemorrhage, which, are you ready for this — how ironic on this show, this is my life coming together, all of this by the way, I’m not going down this road but in my autobiography — or auto-scrap-ography, volume I — this is all in there. All the moments of my life. I handwrote this myself. Every moment of impact and the pictures to prove it. Here’s what I was going to say: Today marks the 10th anniversary of the survival of my brain hemorrhage. I mean, how ironic is that on the same exact night as [my leaving] Masked Singer?.. The universe is incredibly awesome, how it all came together. I’m playing “Knocking on Heaven’s Door,” sitting at the piano, in my Banana outfit, marking the exact timeframe that this airs when I was getting my brain operated on. That universal moment of all that coming together, singing that song, how ironic is that?!

… But leading it back to the show, I am such a fan guy. I said, “Put me out there. Let me start in the crowd.” … Well it got super late and they put me out in the crowd during “Achy Breaky” and I’m trying to sing in a voice that’s not mine so it’s not recognizable and as much as I love the song, I’ve never performed the song ever in my life. So all of a sudden you get out there and the crowd’s slapping — I’m telling everyone, “Feel the peel!” — so while I’m messing around, having fun with everybody, the song started. I’m going, “Uh-oh!” It wasn’t a matter of forgetting the lyrics. I was singing the chorus twice. So I immediately went into survival mode. Waited for the second beat of the chorus to come around, I got everybody clapping their hands. I give full credit to the dancers and the choreographer — who, by the way, after that gave up on me. [Laughs] I say that to protect him… The second I got out with the crowd, my legs took on a life of their own.

Google Maps Street View: Brave biker captured performing DEADLY gravity-defying stunt https://briefnews.eu/google-maps-street-view-brave-biker-captured-performing-deadly-gravity-defying-stunt/ https://briefnews.eu/google-maps-street-view-brave-biker-captured-performing-deadly-gravity-defying-stunt/#respond Sun, 02 Dec 2018 02:25:40 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/google-maps-street-view-brave-biker-captured-performing-deadly-gravity-defying-stunt/

Google Maps Street View has captured a biker taking their lives into their own hands.

They were spotted performing a very dangerous stunt as they drove down the road.

The bike in the photo is no ordinary bike, however, as a sidecar is attached to the vehicle.

This doesn’t stop the biker from succeeding in pulling off a gravity-defying feat.

The amazing photo reveals the bike tilting onto one side, so that the sidecar is lifted off the ground.

The sight is certainly pretty incredible, as it would take quite some skill to carry off.

However, the stunt is incredibly dangerous as if the bike tilted over any further the whole contraption could crash to the ground.

This could easily result in the biker being crushed under the weight of the bike.

As it is, the angle of the bike is incredibly precarious. One wrong move could send it toppling over.

Fortunately, the biker appears to be wearing protective gear and a helmet – but that wouldn’t prevent them from being trapped by the weight of the bike.

Perhaps the biker was well aware of the presence of the Google car in front and wanted to show off.

It’s unclear how long they drove at such an angle, as Google users are only shown that one snapshot in time.

The bold biker is far from the only person performing an impressive stunt on Google Maps Street View.

On another occasion, a boy was spotted performing a very risky stunt on a coastal road.

He is lying on a skateboard and rolling down the hill without a care for the traffic around him.

Behind him is a tight bend as the road winds around a mountain, as a car comes into view.

The boy is right in the middle of the road and is looking forward at the decline below, rather than behind.

The worst case scenario could be a very nasty accident between the oncoming car and the reckless youth.

It seems he is too young to realise quite how dangerous his activity is as he rolls down the road.

He has no method of braking as he lies back on the board and would likely be unable to move out of the way at any speed.

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty interviewed singer Sam Smith this morning, where they discussed performing, his sexuality, and working on tour.

At the tail-end of the interview Naga asked Sam about whether he will be performing at the upcoming Royal Wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

She asked: “Is it fair to say that you love love? The reason I ask is there’s a big wedding coming up in a couple of months…”

“Yes on my birthday! I’m so upset about that,” he replied.

Naga continued: “Yes, May 19th! So are you going to be celebrating your birthday, or are you going to be celebrating a wedding?”

“Definitely my birthday, but I might be wearing a wedding dress,” he laughed.

“So you won’t be performing?” Naga pressed.

“No, no,” Sam laughed. “It’s my birthday – my birthday is more important!

“I love the royals so I’m going to have to have the TV on. I actually went to Kate and Will’s wedding.

“I was in hyde park drunk watching it on the big screen, screaming when she came out in the dress.

“And I love The Queen – so I’ll make it an event. I’ll have a royal birthday.”

Meghan and Harry’s wedding is being held in St. George’s Chapel on May 19th.

The 59-year-old has been constantly topping the leaderboard and impressing viewers at home with her incredible performances alongside professional partner Giovanni Pernice.

However, the challenging dances and tough rehearsals have taken its toll on Debbie as she’s been suffering from back pain.

On Saturday night’s show, Paul Daniels widow admitted she has been recovering from a pulled muscle and has been taking training easy.

But the injury doesn’t appear to be healing quickly as Debbie’s sister revealed she has been strapping hot water bottlers to her back to ease the pain.

Debbie’s sibling, Donna, told The Mirror: “She’s twisted a muscle so she’s struggling.

“It’s a real shame. She has been suffering – she had a hot water bottle on her back all week. It’s really been playing up.”

Last weekend, the former magician’s assistant ignored her injury and wowed the audience with her riveting salsa.

Donna added: “She’d been suffering, it could have gone either way. You don’t know if the back was going to go – but she doesn’t let it worry her.”

When the BBC One show returns to the home of ballroom in Blackpool this weekend, Debbie and Giovanni, 27, will be tearing up the dance floor performing a samba.

The pair are dancing to a Spice Girls medley, which will include hit songs Wannabe and Who Do You Think You Are?

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.

WATCH: Bad driver suffers INSTANT karma after performing illegal manoeuvre https://briefnews.eu/watch-bad-driver-suffers-instant-karma-after-performing-illegal-manoeuvre/ https://briefnews.eu/watch-bad-driver-suffers-instant-karma-after-performing-illegal-manoeuvre/#respond Mon, 30 Oct 2017 17:38:23 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/watch-bad-driver-suffers-instant-karma-after-performing-illegal-manoeuvre/

Bad drivers are often the cause of road traffic accidents and dangerous collisions.

Sometimes they are caught on camera performing illegal manoeuvres on the road.

One driver was caught on video doing a u-turn whilst on the main road.

Luckily, they were then hit with instant karma.

The video shows a white pick-up truck doing the u-turn when on a dual carriageway.

It nearly crashes into a black car that is driving at speed on the correct side of the road, which is forced to do an emergency stop.

What the pick-up truck doesn’t realise is that the black car is actually an undercover police car.

It then turns its police siren on and flags done the truck which is seen pulling over on the side of the road.

The Imgur video, which has since had over 120,000 views gave joy to online users over the karma received by the bad driver.

One commented: “Hell yeah, dude in the truck deserves that.”

Many couldn’t resist a good pun over the hilarious situation.

They joked: “Instant Car-ma.”

It isn’t the first time a bad driver was hit by karma for their dangerous actions.

One BMW driver was videoed dangerously overtaking a car on a country lane.

Further down the road, the driver who is filming sees a crashed car on the side of the road.

Many can guess which driver it is.

Harry Styles Taylor Swift REUNION? https://briefnews.eu/victorias-secret-2017-who-is-performing-at-the-show-harry-styles-taylor-swift-reunion/ https://briefnews.eu/victorias-secret-2017-who-is-performing-at-the-show-harry-styles-taylor-swift-reunion/#respond Sat, 28 Oct 2017 11:03:29 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/victorias-secret-2017-who-is-performing-at-the-show-harry-styles-taylor-swift-reunion/

The Victoria’s Secret fashion show has been confirmed for Shanghai, China, this year.

Everyone’s favourite social media model Gigi Hadid is returning to the Victoria’s Secret runway with her sister Bella.

And VS veteran Karlie Kloss is even returning to tread the boards after missing the show last year.

But who is set to blast out a tune or two? If rumours are to be believed it could well be former love birds Harry Styles and Taylor Swift.

A fan of Taylor took to Twitter this morning to say: “Will see you in Victoria’s Secret in Shang Hai! I’m so happy you come to China again!”

Express.co.uk asked Taylor’s representative to confirm whether or not the star would be performing. They have yet to reply.

Back in 2014, the Trouble hit maker performed on the Victoria’s Secret catwalk in London to a throng of famous faces. Could 2017 be the year she returns, just weeks after the release of her new album?

Another name being thrown into the hat is Harry Styles – famously an ex-boyfriend of Taylor Swift.

The former boy band member Harry Styles was pictured with VS model Camille Rowe in September sparking rumours the pair were dating.

Could, however, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift be performing together?

Taylor Swift fans found a press release from the Shanghai Culture, Radio, Film and Television Administration Bureau that claims both singers have been issued admin licenses in Shanghai  to perform four songs.

The date on the leaked document is 20th November 2017.

The official Victoria’s Secret fashion show announcement was made on Twitter by the brand on Tuesday 29th August.

This year’s runway show will take place in November, and will be broadcast to the world on 10pm (US time) 28 November on CBS.

Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, Elsa Hosk and Martha Hunt are just some of the famous models who will be returning to the catwalk.

Gigi Hadid confirmed she will be making her third appearance for Victoria’s Secret with an excited Instagram post.

She wrote: “Forever and ever and ever a dream come true to be asked back to the VS Show!!!

“Every aspect makes me feel like a dreaming kid again.”

Supermodel Karlie Kloss also shared her excitement to be walking again, and wrote on Twitter: “See you in Shanghai, Victoria’s Secret!”

Express.co.uk has contacted Harry Styles and Taylor Swift’s respective representatives regarding this story.
