Those pitiless Marvel writers are not afraid to rip out fans’ hearts and stomp all over them. Infinity War delivered some of the biggest shocks in blockbuster history and it is clearly not over yet. Many are convinced that the Soul Stone is the key to everything and to somehow restoring those lost in the Snap, and that Tony Stark will be the man to do it. Unfortunately it requires the greatest sacrifice and all the smart money has been on him sacrificing the love of his life, Pepper, or the man who represents all the things he loves dearly and feels he can’t live up to, Captain America. But what if Avengers 4 has something even more brutally heartbreaking up its sleeve? An incredible new theory suggests Tony will actually have to kill the TWO most important people in his entire life. Fans have already seen them both die, but what if it was Tony, himself, who caused their deaths? Redditor sfmarch07 pulls in the recurring theory that the remaining Avengers will travel through time to key points in order to grab the Infinity Stones for themselves. However, one of these journeys will require Tony to make a horrifying decision that he will have to live with for the rest of his life. The theory says: “In order to retrieve the soul stone though, Tony is going to have to sacrifice something, the same way Thanos had to sacrifice Gamora.” “But instead of sacrificing Pepper Potts, what if Tony instead has to go back in time to 1991 and infiltrate Hydra or seek out the Winter Soldier, and order the hit on his parents himself? “Sacrificing the thing he loves most, to enable him to get the Soul stone to fight against Thanos, knowing all the while what it will cause in the future and all the anguish it will personally cause him along with the events of Civil War, breaking up the Avengers, and everything that happens after that. “Or maybe Nick Fury back in 1991 tells Tony that he has to do this. It would be the hardest decision that any character has had to make in the entire MCU, and a decision that only Tony Stark himself could make, a burden that only he could bear, truly exemplifying him as “Iron” Man.” “I don’t think its a coincidence, either, that Captain Marvel takes place in 1990 and Tony’s parents are killed in 1991. In fact, the actor who portrays Howard Stark in Civil War has already been reported to be returning to play Howard Stark in Avengers 4.” The strength of this theory is that while creates a form of time loop, it does not alter events of the past, it simply means Tony will now always have the knowledge of what he did. It seems that however dark the Marvel writers are prepared to go, some fans are ready to go a little step further. AVENGERS 4 IS OUT ON APRIL 27, 2019 The first non-human in history is set to testify before the House of Commons next week to discuss the fourth industrial revolution and what it means for the future of education in the UK. Pepper the robot, from Middlesex University, will appear before the Commons Education Select Committee on Tuesday, October 16. The committee is still ironing out the details of how the interaction will be managed, but Commons Education Select Committee Chair Robert Halfon believes that the fourth industrial revolution is possibly the most important challenge the UK will face over the coming few decades. “If we’ve got the march of the robots, we perhaps need the march of the robots to our select committee to give evidence,” Halfon said, as quoted by TES. “If you think we are going to be the living version of ‘The Matrix,’ it is not going to be like that.” It is unclear whether Pepper will be pre-programmed to answer the questions, as is often the case in the House of Commons, or whether it will rely on artificial intelligence. “This is not about someone bringing an electronic toy robot and doing a demonstration, it’s about showing the potential of robotics and artificial intelligence and the impact it has on skills,” said Halfon. “Many of our [government] services will begin to benefit from the huge potential of robotics or, more accurately, robotic process automation (RPA),” Chief Executive of the Civil Service John Manzoni said earlier this year, as quoted by The Independent. Pepper the robot was built by SoftBank and was first unveiled publicly in 2014. Versions of Pepper have operated as receptionists in UK offices and as teaching assistants in UK schools. It is also unclear whether Pepper will be drafted in as a special adviser to assist in the ongoing Brexit negotiations or whether a similar AI was employed to teach British Prime Minister Theresa May how to dance. Pepper’s days as a holding midfielder seem over after his largely successful switch to the Roar’s back four last season.
While that started off out of necessity because of a crippling injury toll at the club, Pepper impressed sufficiently for him to now be considered a defender rather than a midfielder in Brisbane’s squad.
The 26-year-old former Newcastle Jet is well and truly in the mix to be one of the Roar’s two starting central defenders in Brisbane’s A-League season opener against Central Coast Mariners at Suncorp Stadium on October 21.
At the moment he seems ahead of former Socceroo Luke DeVere, who has had less game time than expected in the pre-season, and level pegging with the reliable Daniel Bowles.
Avraam Papadopoulos is perhaps the only Roar centre-back that can consider himself a certainty to start against the Mariners – provided the ex-Greek international gets enough game time between now and then in his return from a broken ankle.
“There are four or five of us, and that also includes (teenager) Aaron Reardon who are in the mix, and it’s great having that competition for spots,” Pepper said before the Roar’s behind-closed-doors trial against Melbourne City on Tuesday at City’s La Trobe University base.
“Hopefully I can build on what I did playing in defence last season.
“I’m feeling more comfortable there but I’m still learning about what’s required in the role.
“It’s about positioning and knowing when to push up and not being caught out of position.”
Despite his utility value, Pepper vowed not to ever take his spot in Brisbane’s squad for granted.
It’s one of the reasons he has signed three one-year deals in succession with the Roar rather than put pen to paper on a longer contract.
“I don’t want to get to the stage where I relax due to having the security of having an extended deal,” he said. “I do my best when I’m kept on my toes.”
Pepper said the Roar had enjoyed their best pre-season in terms of preparation since his arrival at the club in July 2016.
“It’s been a lot better and I don’t think you can beat the team chemistry that we’ve got, so that’s a good sign going into the season,” he said.
With this year’s midterms seen as a battle royale of the Democrat “blue wave” against the Republicans’ tenuous legislative majority, every side is trying its hardest to stand out – and at times succeeds for all the wrong reasons. From ear-bleeding singing numbers, to dubious stunts, to good old opponent-bashing, to, obviously, Russia, every trick is fair game.
One ad was a literal dumpster fire: that’s what Minnesota Democrat Richard Painter used as a backdrop while describing the “inferno raging in Washington,” presumably meaning the Trump administration.
Levi Tillemann, another Dem from Colorado, says “Washington needs more doers and innovators,” then innovatively pepper sprays himself to the face. His point is that you don’t need guns to protect schools from mass shootings.
Singing politicians are nothing new – and almost never a good idea. Case in point: Dan Helmer, the Democratic candidate for Virginia, and his weird singing ‘Top Gun’ parody. There are a few issues with this ad, from bad acting to a muddy message, but the real zing is the song: “You’ve lost your centrist feeling, because you’ve been right-wing appealing,” Helmer and his crowd deliver in a shaky choir to his Republican opponent Barbara Comstock, before flying off straight into the ranks of the worst campaign ads of all time.
Then there’s the issue of simply bad presentation. West Virginia Republican Don Blankenship is reciting a monotonous attack on “Cocaine Mitch,” meaning senior senator and fellow Republican Mitch McConnell, while, for some reason, holding up little twin girls. That was an ad for a primary Blankenship has since, perhaps understandably, lost.
Bizarre Trump sycophancy has found its way to this list, as well: Ron Desantis of Florida is seen reading bedtime stories to a child about the US President “draining the swamp,” and teaching his daughter to “build the wall” with toy bricks.
But nothing hits the spot like some juicy Russophobia. A Democratic PAC has released what seems like a campaign ad for California Republican Dana Rohrabacher – but is, in fact a parody, apparently aimed at bringing him down for his supposed sympathies to Russia.
In it, a female voice with a surprisingly believable Russian accent reads out an endorsement of Rohrabacher by Russia, and later a personal “letter from Putin” is seen confirming the same. Because, obviously, Russia equals evil, and no-one thus endorsed can hope for a win in the US.

Extremely hot peppers don’t just blister your mouth and bum—they can also spark fiery havoc in your brain, according to a report published Monday in BMJ Case Reports.
An otherwise healthy 34-year-old man developed a blood-flow disorder in his brain and suffered several debilitating “thunderclap” headaches after entering a hot pepper eating contest, US doctors reported. The man had managed to get down a Carolina Reaper pepper, which in 2013 earned the title of the world’s hottest chili by Guinness World Records.
In 2013, the Carolina Reaper—a cross between Sweet Habanero and Naga Viper chilies—clocked in at 1,569,300 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), a unit of measure for a chili’s spiciness. For comparison, jalapeños fall in the range of 2,500 and 8,000 SHUs, while ghost peppers (Bhut Jolokia) register at just over 800,000. In 2017, the Carolina Reaper took the title again, with a pepper grown in South Carolina that measured 1,641,183 SHUs. (Though there have been reports of a “Pepper X” measuring 3.18 million SHUs, it has yet to be confirmed by Guinness World Records.)

Keurig Green Mountain and Dr. Pepper Snapple announced Monday they’re planning to merge in a deal worth $ 18.7 billion.
It’s the largest soft-drink transaction in history, creating a new company called Keurig Dr. Pepper that’s projected to earn $ 11 billion in annual sales.
The transaction is also expected to generate massive fees for the bankers that helped arrange it.
Dr. Pepper Snapple was solely advised by Credit Suisse, which was led by veteran banker Andrew Conway, according to people familiar with the matter. Credit Suisse will earn an estimated $ 50 million to $ 60 million for advising on the deal, according to Nassof.
JAB Holding, the family-run European investment firm that took Keurig private in 2015, will control Keurig Dr. Pepper. They’re expected to pay their roster of bankers $ 35 million to $ 45 million for advising on the deal, according to estimates by Jeffrey Nassof, the director of the consulting firm Freeman & Co.
The lion’s share of that is expected to go to Goldman Sachs, with veteran dealmaker Peter Gross the lead banker on the deal, according to people familiar with the matter.
JAB was also advised by Byron Trott, the rainmaker behind one of the most secretive investment banks in the world, BDT Capital Partners. The firm’s in-house merchant-bank, BDT & Company, acted as financial advisers on the transaction, according to the company, while entities affiliated with BDT Capital Partners are also investing alongside JAB.
Antonio Weiss — who previously headed investment banking at Lazard — had a long-term relationship with JAB and independently advised them on the transaction. Weiss, who served as counselor to the Treasury secretary during the Obama administration, also works on policy these days as a senior fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch, led by bankers Roger Matthews and Federico Aliboni, and JPMorgan also served as financial advisers to the JAB-Keurig side.
All told, that’s potentially more than $ 100 million in deal fees for the advisory bankers.
The financial advisers on both sides declined to comment on the transaction or their bankers’ involvement in it.
Graham Rapier contributed to this report.

The star has long been known to be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel, the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4.
What had been a little more under lock and key was what exactly her alias Pepper Potts would be getting up to.
Will we see her wielding her own powers once again? She appeared to confirm to Stephen Colbert on US TV last night that yes, she would.
Asked about Pepper’s abilities, she said coyly: “You know, to be totally honest, I’m unclear.
“It’s so secretive and it’s all on green screen and I’m not exactly sure. They don’t let me say anything!”
When Colbert found a more imaginative way to ask if she’ll be using power, she exclaimed: “Yes!”
“Then you still have powers,” Colbert deduced. “It’s official.”
Paltrow is one of a huge number of Marvel favourites returning for the ensemble blockbusters.
She made a very low-key comeback last year in a small cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man, with whom she most often appears, is one of several MCU heroes rumoured to be meeting a sticky end across the two movies.
Avengers: Infinity War is out on April 27 in the US.
The star is expected to appear in the upcoming Marvel double-bill as Pepper Potts, after making a brief cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming earlier this year.
With Avengers 4 currently in production, and Infinity War presumably working through reshoots, Paltrow has been seen via her Instagram story wearing what looks like a motion-capture suit.
So does this mean she will suit-up once again?
Back in 2009’s Iron Man 3, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) put Pepper in a suit to protect her, and she then saved him from his own house collapsing.
Paltrow has generally taken a step back from Hollywood acting in recent years, but did speak in an interview earlier in the year about the amount of fun she was having with her Marvel co-stars once again.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “I went to Atlanta to do Avengers 4, so I’m in and out for that, and it’s weird to go back and forth.
“We’re growing fast, and balls are dropping all the time. But honestly, I was on set and thought, ‘You sit here for two hours sipping tea, Robert Downey Jr. and Don Cheadle are making me laugh hysterically – why the hell did I give this up?’”
The first trailer for Infinity War was released last month to a hugely enthusiastic response from fans.
But with Avengers 4 not out until 2019, don’t expect to see any signs of that at least until Infinity War is out next spring.
The likes of Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and many more are also back in the line-up.
Avengers: Infinity War is out on April 27, 2018 in the UK.
Sen. Ben Sasse accidentally spilled Dr. Pepper on Sen. Ted Cruz on Wednesday, resulting in an exchange between the social media accounts of the two United States senators.
During a tense moment of a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing for Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Sasse spilled his carbonated soft drink on the Texas senator.
Sasse — a prolific Twitter user — made a joke about his spillage, referencing President Donald Trump’s unfounded claim that Cruz’s father may have been involved in the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy.

Cruz responded with a cipher from the so-called Zodiac killer, a serial killer who murdered several people in Northern California in the 1960s and 70s whom authorities were never able to track down.

A popular but somewhat aging joke online is a fake conspiracy theory that Cruz is secretly the Zodiac killer, a claim that his wife has vehemently denied.
