Someone slap the side of the TV set, because the WandaVision world is officially on the fritz in this sneak peek from Episode 7 of the Disney+ hit.

When last we tuned in, Vision’s (Paul Bettany) increasing awareness of Westview’s peculiar existence, leading to his attempt to escape through the energy field perimeter, led Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) to expand the powerful bubble inside of which she and her family are living. As the Hex expanded, it turned S.W.O.R.D. agents and equipment into carnival employees, tents and food tricks. Darcy (Kat Dennings) got pulled into the bigger Hex, her modified fate yet to be revealed, while the whereabouts of Monica and Jimmy, who were on their way to meet Monica’s “guy” who created a Hex-busting tank, is also TBD.

In the clip below, Wanda is not quite ready to accept that everything around her is unraveling — including twins Billy and Tommy’s video game controllers (Atari 2600 joysticks, I see you!), and possibly Billy’s bean as well — so she decides to order herself some self-care. Chicago Fire‘s latest bottle episode rescue is a triple whammy of bad news.

In this Wednesday’s installment (NBC, 9/8c), the firehouse is called to a blaze at a 10-story storage unit building, where Herrmann and Cruz quickly find themselves trapped inside a freight elevator with two scared civilians, one of whom is injured. Plus, some of the elevator’s cables have ripped, causing it to drop precariously, and the firefighters’ comms aren’t working, leaving them with no way to communicate with the outside world in the below exclusive sneak peek.

The goal of the episode was “to write it like a play and have the actors perform entire acts in one take, rather than having 10 or 12 scenes in one act the way we normally do,” showrunner Derek Haas said in a statement, adding that stars Joe Minoso and David Eigenberg “truly delivered.”

“We had 30-minute takes where we ran two acts together all the way through,” Haas continued. “I’ve never heard our crew cheer as loudly at the end of a take the way they did for Joe and David when director Reza Tabriza finally yelled ‘cut.’ I believe David gave his best performance of the series.”

Dave and Calvin’s fright night coincides with the return of Gemma’s troublemaking sister Brittany (recurring guest star Deborah Baker Jr.), who claims she’s turned over a new leaf since we last saw her in Season 2. “Brittany [has] turned her life around and started her own business, and we’re going to see how that plays out,” showrunner Jim Reynolds shared. “Dave’s still going to be skeptical [of her]. Gemma will be, too.”

The Neighborhood‘s winter premiere will be followed by fresh episodes of Bob Hearts Abishola, All Rise and Bull, all of which return after a brief holiday break.

“It’s a huge loss for the show to not have Anna because she was part of creating a character, Christy, that everyone fell in love with,” Janney said in a previous interview. “I think I’ll miss the most, for me, the relationship between Bonnie and Christy, even though that will still continue [off screen].”

For those in need of a refresher: Shocking evidence about an old case recently surfaced on Mark’s doorstep, courtesy of a mystery sender. But instead of sticking with Amy’s advice about what to do, Mark sought out his best friend Lola’s guidance, which didn’t sit well with his girlfriend.

Now, Mark (played by Wilson Bethel) is frantically calling Amy (Lindsey Gort) between dealing with his TikTok case involving the kids who threw parties during COVID. “Amy, you didn’t come home last night, and I need you to text me and at least let me know you’re OK,” he says in a concerned voicemail message. “Otherwise, I’m going to have to start calling the hospitals.”

Although Mark and Amy are frequently on opposite sides when it comes to the law, “what’s going to be great is…how they grow as a couple, and how they figure out how to be a couple and professionals in the same household,” co-showrunner Dee Harris-Lawrence tells TVLine.

Elsewhere in this week’s episode: When Lola’s husband, Robin, shows up in her courtroom in his official FBI capacity, Benner insists that Lola recuse herself.

There’s an uncharacteristically fraught and hurt vibe between All Rise‘s beloved besties, Judge Lola Carmichael and Deputy District Attorney Mark Callan, in TVLine’s exclusive video from the Season 2 premiere.

When the CBS legal drama returns on Monday, Nov. 16 (at 9/8c), it will very much incorporate real-world issues like the coronavirus pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement. In the season opener, Lola is detained by the police while trying to defend a teenage girl during a protest, a scene which her best friend Mark witnesses. The incident “surprises them both in how they acted and reacted,” and as a result, the experience will have “reverberations in their relationship as they go forward,” co-showrunner Dee Harris-Lawrence tells TVLine, adding that the pair’s friendship will be tested “in a huge way.”

For Mark, “he had no idea that he was being, basically, insensitive to something that happened with Lola,” Harris-Lawrence previews. “It’s about them kind of talking and rebuilding that [friendship], which is exciting and will ebb and flow throughout the season.”

That disconnect between the pals is on full display in the above sneak peek, in which Lola declares to Mark: “Instead of asking the cop why I was being zip-tied, you asked me what I did wrong!”

“It was one thing to have to deal with his disrespect, but to have to deal with yours was something…” Lola adds, so overcome with hurt that she can’t finish the sentence.

All Rise SpoilersAlthough the duo’s bond will be challenged in a profound way, Harris-Lawrence assures us that the show’s bedrock relationship will remain intact. “They’re still going to be Lola and Mark,” Harris-Lawrence promises. But as a Black woman and a white man, “they have to navigate and have real conversations that I think a lot of people in the country started having after the murder of George Floyd.”

Harris-Lawrence hopes that viewers come away from the storyline with the idea that “you can have these conversations and still remain solid,” she says. “There are going to be hurt feelings. There’s going to be soul-searching. There are going to be raw conversations. But at the end, if you are truly friends like they are, then you can weather through them. It also allows us to have conversations that we hope that audiences will lean into and have those same conversations within their own home, and with other people that have differing opinions, but it’s OK as long as there is respect between the two people there.”
