Rain descends on Rumsey Playfield as Passion Pit takes the stage for the closing performance of OZY Fest 2018. Cotton candy clouds stretch across the backdrop set up behind the band, utterly at odds with the heavy gray sky enveloping Central Park. Music blares and this crowd seems unfazed by the dreary weather. The same goes for lead singer Michael Angelakos, who moves across the stage with an energy the crowd absorbs, and sends right back to him. Clear umbrellas bop as festivalgoers in colored ponchos sway back and forth, blowing bubbles to create a real-life filter for this summer snapshot. While playing “Carried Away,” Angelakos holds out his mic, inviting the audience to join in as he sings, “We’re all having problems.” Anyone new to the group might wonder why he spotlights this particular lyric, but it’s fitting for a singer who speaks often about mental health issues. Angelakos has been candid about discussing his experiences with bipolar disorder, anxiety and PTSD. The band started as a one-man project when Angelakos was an undergrad at Emerson College. After teaming up with Chris Hartz, Aaron Harrison Folb, Giuliano Pizzulo and Ray Suen, Passion Pit took shape in 2007 and has released three albums since its debut, Manners, in 2009 — with the most recent, Tremendous Sea of Love, landing last year. Angelakos sat down with OZY to talk about what’s on his mind — from how to make the music industry safer to what inspires his music. The interview has been edited for length and clarity. That’s an extremely complicated question with a lot of different answers. And I would assume that the first thing that will likely happen will look something along the lines of nutrition programs for artists on the road…I also hope that we can find a way to…book tours in a fashion that doesn’t overwork artists. And that’s a very tough thing to navigate. Well, with respect to it being a responsibility, I think that it’s complicated. A lot of artists don’t speak on topics that might mean a lot to them in private. And that’s due to the issue of not wanting to alienate your fan base, which is important, as it pertains to their livelihood. … It’s less to do with necessarily the individual responsibility of each artist with a platform … because pretty much everyone now — if they have social media accounts, or if they use the internet or the web, if they use their voice anywhere — basically, could be as impactful as an artist is. My music is simply an expression of my life. And I happen to express it in a bunch of different ways. … Everything inspires my music. Our memories are amazing, and their database is stored with tons of amazing information that paints a really interesting picture. … I certainly don’t romanticize pain, and I won’t give joy too much credit. I think it’s just about being, really, a good observer. Save your money. Seriously. In a story that sounds a lot like the plot of a porn movie, two Ohio firefighters have been suspended after being accused of getting hot and heavy in their local firehouse and posting footage of the trysts online. READ MORE: Pornhub celebrates 10yrs online with release of viewers’ dirty-minded habits The amorous pair, Lieutenant Art Dean and Provisional Lieutenant Deann Eller, were removed from active duty after their alleged activities were rumbled by city officials acting on an anonymous tip. They are suspected of making a series of graphic videos on public property and then publishing their sex tapes on the internet. In a statement to the press, Fire Chief Clarence Tucker said the allegations “bring unwelcome dishonor and embarrassment” to the fire department and the city of Akron. The officers, who are on paid leave, are now being investigated over a number of potential rule breaches, in particular whether they broke the city’s anti-fraternizing rule for men and women, the Akron Beacon Journal reports. READ MORE: ‘Drone Boning’: World’s first drone porn film neither first, nor porn City officials would not confirm to the paper which firehouses were used as backdrops for the movies, which have reportedly been shared widely across various porn websites. Steven Barker, president of the local firefighters union, said the case was unprecedented but expected the investigation to be wrapped up in a week’s time. “I’ve never heard anything like it at all. I’ve never heard anything similar to this,” he told the Beacon Journal. Like this story? Share it with a friend! Back in 2004 The Passion of Christ was made on tiny budget of $ 30 million and went on to make over $ 600 million worldwide. Covering the betrayal, trial and crucifixion of Jesus, the movie became the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time – a huge feat for a foreign language film. Now that a sequel focused on the Resurrection has been confirmed, when can a release be expected? At this stage it’s unknown but Jim Caviezel, who is reprising the role of Jesus, has confirmed shooting dates have been decided. Nevertheless the actor wouldn’t disclose when, however if they’ve been decided it would make sense that Passion of the Christ 2 could shoot as early as this summer. That would make a 2019 or 2020 release date, presumably around Easter time, much more likely. Jim, who is a devout Catholic, has teased what the sequel will be like. Speaking with USA Today in January, he said: “There are things that I cannot say that will shock the audience. It’s great. Stay tuned. “I won’t tell you how he’s going to go about it. But I’ll tell you this much, the film he’s [Gibson] going to do is going to be the biggest film in history. It’s that good.” Braveheart, that’s a film that took a long time to be able to crack. The same thing for Passion. And the same thing for this. He’s finally got it. So that is coming. The biblical biopic tells the story of Mary (Mara), a young woman in search of a new way of living. Constricted by the hierarchies of the day, Mary defies her traditional family to join a new social movement led by the charismatic Jesus of Nazareth (Phoenix). Monica Bellucci played Mary Magdalene in The Passion of the Christ. On what attracted her to the part, she said: “”I did all I could to get an audition. People would say to me, ‘Nobody will see it, nobody wants to produce or distribute it, it’ll make no money and it will raise controversy. Why on earth do you want to do it?’ “But I wanted to play her because she moves me. She was just a sinner like you and me, her humanity and weakness touched me. “She finds spirituality through Jesus; we all must try to find our spiritual side.” Canadian ice dancers Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir won their third Olympic gold medal on Tuesday, performing to music from ‘Moulin Rouge’ and edging out their French rivals by less than a point in PyeongChang. The duo captivated the crowd in South Korea, floating across the ice in their steamy interpretation of the romantic love story of Christian and Satine from the famous 2001 musical film by Baz Luhrmann. The French pairing of Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron, who suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction in the short program on Monday, produced a world record performance in the free routine, earning an impressive 123.35 points for their dance. READ MORE: Costume malfunction leaves French Olympic figure skaters red-faced (PHOTOS) However, it wasn’t enough to reduce a 1.74 point deficit set in Monday’s short program by the Canadian duo, who had racked up a record-breaking score. By winning the title, Virtue and Moir brought their Olympic medal haul to five and became the most decorated figure skaters in history. Before competing in the individual ice dancing event, the couple helped their national team to triumph in the team competition which opened the figure skating program in PyeongChang. The pair also earned two silvers at the 2014 Games in Sochi and won gold in their Olympic debut on home turf in Vancouver four years earlier. Virtue and Moir had taken a two-year break from competition after the Sochi Games, where they were beaten by rivals and training partners Meryl Davis and Charlie White of the USA. But the lure of gold in PyeongChang forced them out of retirement to regain the Olympic crown they lost four years ago. The Canadians are known not just for their immaculate technique, but for the passion that infuses all of their moves and gestures. Virtue and Moir were even forced to modify their Olympic free skate routine after one or their lifts was deemed too edgy and sexy. A risky lift in which Virtue flips backward onto Moir’s shoulders with her legs hooked around his neck was considered to be too suggestive by the Canadian press. “We wanted to make a bit of a different statement, and if that was bringing a certain edge or sexuality or darkness or a contemporary feeling to it, mission accomplished I guess,” Virtue said after performing the provocative lift at the Canadian nationals. The pair, however, slightly altered that element before PyeongChang by swiftly displaying the legs-around without holding the pose for a few seconds, as was traditional. Their wondrous performance in South Korea will provide a suitable swansong for their careers, as the duo are expected to retire from the sport following the PyeongChang Games.

The Audi S5 coupe and convertible are two-door counterparts to the more practical but dowdier S4 sedan, and they offer impressive performance in a slinky uniform. (The new, high-style S5 Sportback is reviewed separately.) All S5s are motivated by Audi’s new turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine, which makes a comfortable 354 horsepower and provides the S5 with plenty of get-up-and-haul. The previously available manual transmission is no more, and power is now routed to all four wheels exclusively through a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission. Both the coupe and convertible—Audi calls it a cabriolet—exhibit driving characteristics similar to those of their four-door siblings: they are surprisingly detached for such powerful, sporting cars. In day-to-day driving, the S5’s comfortable cabins and great-looking exteriors are enough to push their vacant personae to the wayside. However, when back roads beckon, the S5 twins fail to communicate well with the road; a number of their competitors are much better at truly engaging the driver. READ MORE ››

After Pierce (Jonathan Wrather) raped her on their wedding day, Rhona’s (Zoe Henry) feelings towards her first husband, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), began to resurface.
Although Paddy (played by Dominic Brunt) has moved on with his former flame Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Rhona (Zoe Henry) is still working to get over him.
In an effort to recover from the heartache, she will ask Pete (Anthony Quinlan) out for a drink next week in Emmerdale.
Doug Potts (Duncan Preston) had been telling Rhona to go for it with Paddy, but a miscommunication lead to her thinking that he meant Pete.
The two meet up at The Woolpack where they get on like a house on fire, and they both want more.
Eventually they head back to the Barton house where things quickly escalate and the two head upstairs for some bedroom antics.
New photos released by ITV show the pair locked in a passionate kiss in the living room before they up the ante.
Meanwhile, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) makes the decision to tell Paddy that Rhona still holds a torch for him, and that he should leave her to move on.
While he initially agrees with her, Paddy can’t help but feel jealous when he sees Rhona leaving Pete’s home the next morning.
Rhona will find herself having to defend her actions after Paddy confronts her over the night of passion.
Judging by his reaction, it is clear he isn’t over her.
Paddy was the one looking to rekindle the romance not long ago, however Rhona wasn’t ready.
Her rape at the hands of Pierce last year deeply affected Rhona, and impinged on her relationship with Paddy.
Pete has also experienced a turbulent love life after ex-wife Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) split up with him because she loved his brother, Ross (Michael Parr).
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
Meghan Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 33, announced their engagement last year, with their wedding set for May 2018.
Wedding fever has swept across the UK, with many wondering about the details of the day, including Meghan’s dress.
But once the champagne is finished and the confetti swept away, the couple will settle in to married life.
So what will 2018 bring for them, and how might marriage change their relationship?
According to the Chinese Zodiac, Harry and Meghan have lots to look forward to.
This year is the year of the dog in the Chinese Zodiac, and each animal sign affects those born under each animal sign differently.
Meghan was born in 1981 under the year of the rooster. According to thechinesezodiac.org, the former actress can look forward to a year “full of passion”.
It says: “This zodiac sign will have a year full of passion. Many of the natives will fall in love and will live true love stories.”
However, roosters should not entirely throw caution to the wind this year.
The reading continued: “Although they have all the chances to find happiness, the natives of Rooster should act with caution.”
Harry was born in 1984 under the year of the rat. His Chinese horoscope reads: “Year 2018 has many surprises for the love life of the Rat native.
“There will be many periods of change, but, overall, things will settle the way they should for the Rat.”
Meghan and Harry may be preparing for their wedding, but they decided to take a break over the New Year with a trip to Monaco.
The tax haven played host to the royal and his bride to be, who reportedly met a set of friends there.
They allegedly arrived in Monaco by helicopter on December 31, setting off from Nice, which they flew into on a BA flight from Heathrow.
A source told the Mail Online: “Monte Carlo is party central at this time of the year and the word is that the British Royals really enjoyed themselves.”

Judi Dench: My Passion For Trees
Neil Pearson, for example, is a renowned collector of rare books.
The late Robert Hardy was an authority on the English longbow, and had most of the early examples of the weapon in his own private collection.
He also has a tree dedicated to him, as we found out in Judi Dench: My Passion For Trees (BBC2), for this is the actress’s private pastime.
A tree-hugger in the truest sense of the term, the famous dame has turned her Surrey garden into a private woodland, many of whose trees commemorate the life of departed colleagues and loved ones.
Over the course of a year, assisted by the head curator of trees at Kew, Tony Kirkham, and her nature-loving friend David, Judi explored the mysteries at the bottom of her garden and there were many to be dug up.
I was still grappling with the early revelation that Surrey is the most wooded county in Britain, and home to more deer today than there were in Queen Elizabeth I’s time, but Judi & Co had swiftly moved on to delve deep beneath the roots and the bark.
With the aid of some hi-tech paraphernalia, we (via a truly gobsmacked Dame Judi) were able to listen to the inside of trees in spring, as hundreds of litres of water were drawn up from the ground and channelled, with little popping sounds, to the tiniest buds.

The famous dame has turned her Surrey garden into a private woodland
The magic didn’t stop there. We encountered beech trees that could turn their own leaves bitter, to see off nibbling roe deer.
There were pines, using a scent to divert an infestation of aphids by luring ladybirds down to eat them all up. Weirdest of all (though not strictly trees) were the fungi, along whose buried, mile-long silken threads, everything in the wood could send and receive signals, like a sort of mushroom-based internet.
While astonishing us, this final revelation added a level of extra joy to Dame Judi, because it meant everyone in her remembrance wood was talking to each other.

The Real Marigold On Tour (BBC2)
It is strange how The Real Marigold On Tour (BBC2) plays some locations for maximum bother, yet lets others speak for themselves.
That might be down to whether the episode includes Miriam Margolyes, who was not on the list for last night’s Iceland visit.
There are, actually, ample opportunities to horrify foreign visitors to this small volcanic plug of a place.
There’s the roasted puffins (I’m sure Miriam would have had a few things to say about them), not to mention the tradition of eating fermented skate wing, doused in mutton fat, and finished off with a shot of home-brew whose name translates as “burning wine”.
BBC
The celebrity-retirees found little to dislike about Iceland
Apart from Rustie Lee being a bit shocked at the prices in the supermarket, though, and Sheila Ferguson not liking the flat-pack architecture, the celebrity-retirees found little to dislike about Iceland.
Sheila, in fact, found a bloke (well, she went on a date with a charming gent whom she said she’d like to see again).
Perhaps it’s also got a lot to do with the time of year the filming takes place.
I know the good ole boys down at the hot springs near Húsavik said they took the health-giving waters there every day.
I’m not sure that includes all the days when there’s 23 hours of darkness and 24 hours of blizzard.
GUEST:
This is a short warning to entrepreneurs. Founders often start a company based on their passion for something. That’s fine as long as they are also solving a problem or otherwise addressing the needs of a clearly defined target market.
The advice that is dispensed too often these days is to pursue your passion, do something you love. That’s all well and good as long as your passion intersects with a problem that customers will pay you to solve. But don’t start a business for the sole purpose of pursuing something you’re passionate about. That’s called a hobby. Hobbies are great, but don’t pitch me on investing in yours.
Passion can cloud your judgment. Listen to the market. If the market is telling you to pursue option A, but you’re more passionate about option B, pursue option A. If the market is not buying what you’re selling, it’s time to pivot. Or shut the company. Don’t continue to pursue something just because you love doing it. That’s a sure-fire way to go out of business.
True entrepreneurs love helping their customers. They love making their customers’ lives easier, better. They love to save their customers money. Or help them increase sales. Or help them reduce headaches. Or manage more effectively. They are passionate about these things, but only if they can make money doing them. Because helping customers and not making money is called a charity, not a business.
Learn to be passionate about making money to help your customers. And be even more passionate about making more money to help even more customers. Stop before you leave your job to pursue something you’re passionate about. First, do a rational assessment of whether you have a real plan for making money. And if you can’t do a rational, dispassionate assessment, find someone who can. Just because you love sushi, because you’re passionate about sushi, doesn’t mean the world needs another sushi restaurant. The truth is that there are a lot of sushi restaurants and the restaurant business sucks. Be passionate about eating sushi, not selling it.
I don’t want you to leave your job and invest your life’s savings and all your time only to set yourself up for failure. I urge you to not let your passion cloud your judgment. Focus on the market and its needs. Solve a need in a better, faster, cheaper way and make money doing it. Be passionate about that. Otherwise, work for someone who is.

An oft-cited study by psychologist Arthur Aron found that doing something new and exciting with your partner can lead to greater relationship satisfaction.
For the study, published 1993 in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, couples either spent time together doing novel activities, like dancing or hiking; spent time together doing pleasant but routine activities, like going to a movie; or didn’t change anything about their daily lives.
After 10 weeks, the researchers reassessed the couples’ relationship quality and found that those who had tried new and exciting things were the most satisfied.

Writing on the Gottman Institute’s blog, Terry Gaspard says the first step to reestablishing sexual intimacy is fostering emotional intimacy.
Gaspard writes:
“Both partners need to talk about their feelings in terms of positive need, instead of what they do not need.
“According to [research psychologist and couples counselor] Dr. Gottman, expressing a positive need is a recipe for success for both the listener and the speaker because it conveys complaints and requests without criticism and blame.
“Dr. Gottman says, ‘This requires a mental transformation from what is wrong with one’s partner to what one’s partner can do that would work. The speaker is really saying, ‘Here’s what I feel, and what I need from you.'”

A 2012 study published in Social Psychological and Personality Science illustrates the importance of being willing to give in a relationship.
Forty-four couples in long-term relationships participated in the three-week study, answering questions about their sexual activity and their feelings about it. Results showed that people who were more interested in meeting their partner’s sexual needs also displayed greater sexual desire — and were more satisfied with the relationship overall.
In a review of the research on Psychology Today, psychologist Susan Krauss Whitbourne writes:
“You don’t have to be a complete pushover and never expect your partner to satisfy your needs to have a sexually intimate relationship that withstands the test of time. On the other hand, this study shows us that it’s important not to keep a relationship scorecard, especially in the bedroom. Be willing to give more than you receive, and it’s possible that both of you will experience sexual happiness for many years to come.”
