Virgin Voyages has given cruise fans a sneak peak into its new ship the Scarlet Lady, which will launch in the USA next year. The cruise ship has been described as “Adult by Design, a sanctuary at sea for the 18 plus traveller.” It will host 2,770 passengers – which it calls sailors – and will offer a mix of itineraries, including voyages to Cuba on select sailings. Virgin Voyages are aiming to give their passengers more value for money. Free fitness classes, free dining, free filtered water and all sodas are included in the voyage fare.

There will also be a series of RockStar suites which Virgin claims are “throwing out traditional clichés on luxury and formalities.”

Eighty-six per cent of Virgin Voyages cabins will feature a balcony and 93 per cent will feature an ocean view.

Highlights of the Massive Suite, the top suite aboard the Scarlet Lady, include its own guitar-clad music room, views of the ocean from every corner of the suite and a massive terrace, complete with its own Peek-a-View outdoor shower, hot tub, hammocks and a runway outdoor dining table.

“Virgin has always avoided stuffy formalities and brought a lot of excitement and a bit of rebelliousness to our customer experiences,” said Sir Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group.

“With these glamorous suites, Virgin Voyages is bringing rock and roll to the high seas and spoiling our Sailors like the rockstars they are.”

Tom McAlpin CEO of Virgin Voyages, added: “We have combined brilliant design and Virgin Voyages’ epic Sailor experience vision to create a completely new version of luxury – Rebellious Luxe, which is at the intersection of luxury and a rebellious attitude that makes everything we do different, indulgent and meaningfully relevant to our Sailors.

“Whether they want to sleep all day, praise the sun with yoga at dusk or party all night, our RockStar Suite Sailors can live out their fantasies aboard the Scarlet Lady.”

Well-being will be at the forefront of the onboard experience, activated through a mix of high-energy moments coupled with relaxation and rejuvenation.

There is an athletics club, running track, 360-degree ocean view yoga spot and a variety of fitness rooms.

Numerous restaurants can be found on board, offering every cuisine from steak and seafood to Mexican and pizza.

There is also a Korean restaurant which is “destined to be the loudest eatery on board, each meal will begin with a complimentary round of soju for the table and throughout the evening sailors are encouraged to take part lively Korean drinking games.”

Four lounges have currently been revealed – but more are to come, according to Virgin. One is inspired by New York sports clubs of the 1920’s; the space features oversized gaming for outdoor adult play, the largest daybed at sea, cabanas for relaxation, a sports bar for socialising post-workout and more.

On top of this, there are many grooming and pampering spaces, including an upscale barber shop, the first-ever tattoo studio on board a cruise ship and spa parties.

Virgin Voyages is committed to having one of the cleanest fleets at sea and has banned single-use plastics on board its ships.

Virgin has three more ships on order, due for delivery in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

In further cruise news, the Royal Caribbean’ Navigator of the Seas has revealed its incredible new on-board feature – the world’s longest waterslide at sea. The 800ft aqua-coaster is part of a $ 115milion makeover.

“Each Royal Caribbean ship brings a new adventure uniquely designed to deliver on our guests’ preferences from A to Z,” said Michael Bayley, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean International.

“Every detail matters and we’ve mapped out an unmatched combination of innovative features and experiences for this top-to-bottom transformation of Navigator of the Seas.”

Sanchez and Ozil are both out of contract at the end of the season and would be available on a free transfer.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger revealed at this morning’s press conference ahead of tomorrow’s home clash with Huddersfield that the star duo would not be allowed to leave in the winter transfer window.

Parlour believes it would be nigh-on possible to replace Sanchez and Ozil midseason if they were allowed to leave north London.

“They’re important for the season, to get back into that top four you need your best players. How’d you replace them?,” he said on talkSPORT.

“At this time of the year it’s not a great time to replace players of that calibre. 

“They’re not many players out there who could do the same good as them two. Alexis Sanchez you would lose all his goals, Ozil is creative.”

If they do no extend their contracts beforehand, Sanchez and Ozil would be able to talk to foreign clubs in January about a potential summer switch.

Parlour says that is a risk worth taking, because they, especially Sanchez, have the right attitude.

“That’s a gamble you take but also they’re looking at their own careers aren’t they and they want to do as well as they can,” he added.

“I’ve looked at their body language since they haven’t signed a contract and against Spurs was the best. 

“I know it was Spurs and the north London derby and you’d expect that, but Mesut Ozil chasing back into his own half and tackling people. I hadn’t seen that this season so I think the attitude is right. 

“You can only sense that during training sessions whether the attitude is dropping off in certain players if they want to leave, some players sulk. 

“But I don’t think Sanchez, it’s in his makeup, he loves football. He goes out there and tries his best every single game, so that’s why you always have to look at the characters of the players as well. 

“If you’ve got a player who is going to sulk and upset other players in the dressing room, then you might have to get rid of them in January, but I don’t think Sanchez is that type of player. 

“If I’m a player for Arsenal in midfield, I want him in front of me because he’s the one who is going to be chasing people down, I can go tight on my man. 

“It’s a lot easier to play when you’ve got people like (Luis) Suarez did at Liverpool when he was there, so I think that is the right decision from Arsenal’s point of view.”

Parlour believes Arsenal must resist any offers for Sanchez and Ozil if they harbour any hopes of returning to the Champions League next season.

He concluded: “I don’t think they are in a position, I know it’s a lot of money they’re probably going to get, maybe £25million or whatever, but I think it’s more important to get back into that top four. 

“If they lose them two, I think they would find it very difficult to get in that top four.”

Arsenal currently sit fourth in the Premier League table after 13 games this season.

Partners In Rhyme (BBC1, Saturday) is a parlour game gone mad.

It upset my tea as I settled in for Pointless and Strictly.

Len Goodman, late of that wonderful shiny floor show, is a good judge of a waltz but he should have fl eckled around this early Christmas turkey, which makes everyone look stupid.

Hey, that’s what TV is for.

Well, maybe, but this is plain awful.

Can we instead have a version for celebrity chefs called Partners In Brine?

Arsenal have missed Sanchez for their Community Shield triumph over Chelsea and their 4-3 Premier League opener against Leicester due to an abdominal strain. 

The Chile international is expected to miss the trip to Stoke on Saturday (5.30pm), but Parlour is confident he will be back to face Liverpool the week after.

Parlour said on talkSPORT: “I know the fact he’s working so hard to be fit, he came back that little bit later, it takes a little bit longer to be ready for the first team.

“I don’t’ think he’ll be playing against Stoke but I’m sure he’ll feature against Liverpool in the next one.”

Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer, with just under a year remaining on his contract.

But Parlour can’t see the former Barcelona man trying to force through a move.

On the possibility of Sanchez handing in a transfer request, Parlour added: “I don’t think so. A lot of deals are done last minute anyway.

“It’s a game of poker, where people are saying ‘we want this for him’, ‘we’re going to offer this’ and right at the last minute they come to an agreement in the middle. 

“So whether that happens with Alexis Sanchez, we’ll have to wait and see.”

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have both been linked with Sanchez – but Parlour reckons they’re already well-stocked with left-sided forwards.

The former Gunners man added: “I think Arsenal put a really good offer on the table, for me the only clubs really who can afford him is PSG or Man City.

“But PSG have just bought Neymar, so why would they want the same sort of player? And Man City, look how many players they’ve got to fill those sort of positions.”
