The news had an impact on all members of the Osbourne clan, with Sharon adding: “It’s not a death sentence but it affects certain nerves in your body.

“You have a good day, a good day, then a really bad day,” she said, with daughter Kelly Osbourne, 36, discussing the struggle she faced with her father’s health.

Piers quizzed Ozzy on his to perform live again and how he will cope if he is unable to do so.

“I exercise as much as I can. I’ve got a trainer, I do Pilates, nurses 24/7, but the best medication I can get is being in front of an audience, which is breaking my heart to be honest,” he confessed.

The X Factor 2018 has reached the first stage of the finals, and tonight the three remaining acts will take to the stage in hope of winning the public’s vote and making it through to tomorrow night’s grand final results show. 

However, after months of speculation, it seems former judge Sharon Osbourne, 66, will be returning to the show for the occasion. 

It comes after head judge Simon Cowell, 56, revealed he had invited Mrs O to the live shows. 

During a conversation with This Morning earlier this week, Simon explained how he had been in contact with Sharon. 

Lizzie Cundy, 48, who was conducting the interview, asked the music mogul: “We’ve got to talk about some of your ex-judges, Sharon Osbourne, who is being a bit vocal shall we say, the ratings weren’t so good this time round. 

“What would you say in return?” 

“Sharon makes me laugh,” Simon began. 

“I had a conversation with her a few weeks ago, because she did one interview and she thought I was going to be mad. 

“But I was actually laughing when I phoned her. And I said: ‘You were gobby when you first came on the show, you’re still gobby so I can’t be mad!’

“And by the way you can still come to the finals and she was like, ‘Oh OK’.

“I’ve learnt, when I say something about her family, I did it once or twice, it was like, ‘Woah,’ so I treat it as fun now,” Simon explained. 

Tonight, Simon’s act, Scarlett Lee alongside Dalton Harris and Anthony Russell, both in Louis Tomlinson category, will fight for a recording contract. 

But more importantly, fans will be wondering whether there will be a guest appearance from Sharon. 

Nevertheless, it seems there is no bad blood between Simon and Sharon despite her not being on the judging panel for this year’s series. 

X Factor fans were surprised when Simon decided it was time for an overhaul in judges. 

The series saw Robbie Williams, 44, Ayda Field, 39, and Louis Tomlinson, 27, make their debut. 

And for those that have enjoyed the 2018 shows, they will be pleased to know all three will be coming back for the next series. 

It will cost us a lot of money, but yes,” Simon confirmed.

Coronation Street’s newest married couple, Daniel Osbourne (played by Rob Mallard) and Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) are about to go through an incredibly difficult time. 

The seamstress is currently battling cervical cancer alone, after deciding she didn’t want to tell Daniel.

Last week, she was left with some seriously tough decisions to make once she learned the impact of her diagnosis. 

Naturally, any treatment could have some dangerous implications on her unborn baby.

So far, only Ken Barlow (Bill Roache) knows the truth, after being sworn to secrecy. 

But next week, the truth comes out and it will shake Daniel to the core. 

He is disturbed to discover his dad had known the truth and demands to know why Sinead felt she couldn’t tell him.

As his frustration turns to fury, will he go off the rails? 

Later on in the week, Daniel insists Sinead tries her best to save her life. 

But knowing the impact it could have on her baby, she seems unsure. 

As he mounts the pressure on his wife, will she risk treatment?

It all comes out in a special episode centred solely on the Barlows.

While Sinead insists her baby’s life comes first, Daniel can’t understand it. 

He lashes out at Ken and is stopped by Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) who tells him he should respect his wife’s wishes. 

Ken thanks Peter for helping him out and Daniel apologises for his emotions. 

The doting husband then heads to his wife’s side in hospital.

He tells her he will love her forever and will never leave her. 

Sinead emotionally removes to try mild chemotherapy which shouldn’t harm the baby.

Will everyone pull through in this trying time?

Coronation Street continues tomorrow night on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

Why won’t Sharon Osbourne be on The X Factor this year?

Sharon Osbourne will no longer appear on The X Factor 2018.

Osbourne was supposed to take on a role as a fifth judge for the 15th series.

She joined The X Factor in 2004 when the series began alongside Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell.

The judge was replaced by Cheryl in 2008 before returning in 2013 to take over from Tulisa Contostavlos.

According to The Telegraph, in 2016 Osbourne signed a three-year contract and was supposed to join the live stages of the show this year.

She would have been joining Simon Cowell and new judges Adya Field, Robbie Williams and Louis Tomlinson.

Osbourne would also be covering for Williams as he will be absent from some shows.

Following her appearance on the Howard Stern radio show last month, it has been speculated Osbourne had been axed from The X Factor.

In a recent interview with US radio host Howard Stern, Sharon said: “I like Simon, he’s been very good to me. But he’s a f****** pain in the arse. He will do whatever he has to do to get that f****** fat face on TV.”

She also referred to the competition as “karaoke” and said: “I don’t have to have those kids singing in my face. Those little s****. They all suck.”

Stern has since claimed on his show that Osbourne was silenced following the purported quotes she made last month in an interview with him.

“Maybe… if you get paid off or something — if you keep your mouth shut, you get money,” Stern said on his show.

He added: “Next time we see Sharon we have got to ask her about that.”

However, Osbourne denied these rumours to her 2.46 million Twitter users.

She confirmed her departure from The X Factor, writing: “This is my official statement regarding X Factor. If it reads differently in the papers then it’s been altered.

“After watching the new season XFactor unfold, I’ve seen the new judges finding their rhythm and are doing brilliantly.

”Simon was so gracious to find me a spot on the live shows but at this point, I really don’t think I’m needed and I would honestly feel odd coming in at this point. So I have decided to pass on the series this year.

“I wish the show continued success and as much as I love to get my face on TV you will have to do without me this season.”

Express.co.uk has approached Sharon Osbourne’s representatives and The X Factor for comment on these reports.

Sharon acted as a judge on the X Factor for 2004 to 2007, again in 2013 before taking a break to return in 2016.

This year she’s set to join the judging panel alongside Simon Cowell in the live shows, but ahead of that she’s commented on her boss.

In an appearance on a US radio show with Howard Stern, the 65-year-old said the mogul would do “whatever it takes” to get “his f*****g fat face on the TV”.

However, she did go on to say: “I like Simon, he’s been very good to me but he’s a pain in the a**e.”

Howard went on to ask if she would save himself or Simon on a sinking boat.

Sharon exclaimed: ”We would put a f***ing brick around his neck and throw him over. I will drown you mother f****r. Absolute…he’s gone.”

The current judges on the X Factor are Louis Tomlinson and husband-and-wife team Ayda Field and Robbie Williams.

It was reported that Ayda and Robbie had been signed up for a joint deal of £10 million.

Simon went on to describe it as “the best £10 million [he’d] ever spent”.

Sharon went on to criticise the pay check compared to her own as she said: ”So Simon I have a clause in my contract in my contract ‘favoured nations’.

“Simon goes to the press and goes this is the best £10 million I have ever spent.

“So I go, ‘I have favoured nations, where is my f***ing £10million? I have a clause. I am a businesswoman.”

Sharon also denied rumours that her own fee was £1 million as she declared: “I am not f*****g doing it for a million. It is a principle – you want me you have to pay what I am worth.

“And the thing is these networks aren’t used to it. Because people are always half way up their a*** for a gig. And at my age I won’t f*****g beg.”

The mother-of-three also spoke on why she wasn’t contracted to appear at the auditions stage of the competitions.

Asked why her contract changed this year so she didn’t appear at the auditions, she blasted: “Oh f*** I don’t have to have those kids singing in my face.

“Those little s***s. They all suck. It is like hey is this f*****g karaoke or what?”

Sharon also commented on the addition of Robbie and Ayda to the judging panel.

She said: “Listen to this he has got two f*****g people in the show. He has changed the panel. Robbie Williams, he’s a good guy, and he has got his wife on.”

Howard then asked “what does she know?”, to which Sharon replied: “I don’t know. She was in a soap opera here years ago.”

It seemed Sharon was willing to joke about her future on the show as she went on to ask Howard: “Are you giving me a job when I get the f*****g sack?”

The X Factor returns on Saturday at 8.30pm on ITV.

Ozzy is currently on the US leg of No More Tours II and now the UK concerts have been announced for 2019.

He’ll be performing in Nottingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham and London next February.

The singer will also be supported by heavy metal band Judas Priest.

Daniel Osbourne (played by Rob Mallard) will steep to a new low when his proposal to girlfriend Sinead Tinkler (Katie McGLynn) is overshadowed by Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson and Tracy Barlow’s (Kate For) own engagement.

The waiter has been shacked up in one small house with Sinead and Flora McArdle (Eileen Davies) for sometime in Coronation Street, but when Flora finds out she has been left £250,00 by her late son she decides to buy a place of her own.

As a parting gift, Flora will hand Daniel a ring in the hope that he will finally make an honest woman of Sinead.

“Having seen that their love is real, Flora decides to pass on a ring which is a family heirloom and that basically orchestrates the whole proposal,” actor Rob Mallard said.

“Daniel had considered asking Sinead to marry him when he first asked her to move in but she said it was too soon and that knocked his confidence.”

Daniel is convinced Sinead is the right person for him to start a family with and is eager to make it official.

Speaking to Soaplife, Rob explained: “Daniel would still like a family of his own in the future but given where he was a year ago, he can’t believe he’s at the point he is now.

“Sinead is 100 percent the woman for him and he’s keen to seal the deal.”

With a newfound confidence and an expensive piece of jewellery in tow, Daniel will kneel down on bended knee and propose to Sinead.

This time the blonde beauty will accept his proposal, but just as everything appears to be going well Steve and Tracy announce their engagement.

Daniel is understandably peeved off as this was his and Sinead’s moment and the former pub owner and florist have stolen their limelight.

“Daniel becomes quite petulant,” Rob revealed. “Everyone is trying to be diplomatic but Daniel just wants them all to see Steve’s proposal as a sham and his as the real deal.”

“He feels it has diluted his moment. There’s more to it than this, though,” he teased.

To punish Steve for ruining his moment, Daniel tells Tracy that Steve and Michelle kissed on Michelle’s wedding day.

Explaining how the scene unfolds, he stated: “Daniel has had a run-in with Tracy. He and Tracy have never got on.

“He is furious when she starts lying and sucking up to the now-wealthy Flora in the hope Flora will invest in Tracy’s florists.

“Daniel hits back by revealing Steve kissed Michelle on Michelle’s wedding day.”

Will Tracy call off the engagement after discovering Steve has been unfaithful? Or, will she walk down the aisle regardless.

Also, what will this mean for Michelle and Robert Preston’s relationship? Could this be the end for them?

Simon Cowell changed his mind yesterday evening and scrapped the quadruple elimination to just two.

Alisah faced fellow contestant Sam Black while waiting for their names to be called out, it was the Filipino singer who was sent home.

The audience looked stunned, while Nicole Scherzinger seemed confused and disappointed by the result.

Alisah, 22, was visibly upset and wiped away her tears before thanking viewers for their support.

She said: “I never thought I would go this far and I can’t believe I just did it. Thank you very much for all your support.”

Host Dermot O’Leary said: “We have absolutely loved having you. You’re like a little marine.

“You just didn’t take no for an answer. Never give up, we wish you all the very best of luck!”

Alisah later tweeted: “Every moment at the @TheXFactor is A DREAM COME TRUE.

“Thank you for giving me a chance to showcase my God-given talent and to represent not just me, but my whole country. I am now living my dream.”
