  • Manigault-Newman did not identify the person who allegedly played the recording for her, but at least three longtime Trump aides told The Huffington Post that she told them that it was Troy McClain, a former “Apprentice” contestant.
  • McClain laughed at the notion that he played the recording for Manigault-Newman, according to HuffPost: “You’ve got to be bullsh—ng me. Is this a joke?”
  • The man who Manigault-Newman alleged was in possession of the tape denied ever having had the tape, according to a Trump official who claimed to have spoken to the man.

President Donald Trump and another official slapped away Omarosa Manigault-Newman’s claims that she heard him say the N-word as a private citizen during the filming of the NBC reality show, “The Apprentice.”

The re-emerged in recent days, amid the release of her tell-all book, “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the White House.”

Omarosa has effortlessly moved from the White House to the Big Brother house, as part of the cast for the CBS’ series first-ever celebrity edition.

In addition to the Apprentice alum/former Trump administration aide, the celeb cast includes Real Housewife Brandi Glanville, former Cosby kid Keisha Knight Pulliam, Tony winner Marisa Jaret Winokur, MMA star Chuck Liddell, former NBA All-Star Metta World Peace fka Ron Artest, Miss Universe 2015 Ariadna Gutiérrez, actress/poker pro Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie), E!’s Ross Matthews and actor/singer James Maslow (Big Time Rush).

CBS’ first celebrity edition of Big Brother will premiere Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 8/7c, airing multiple episodes per week as an “alternative” of sorts to the Winter Olympics coverage over on that other network.

The special edition’s “concentrated run,” as previously reported, will include the reality competition’s signature Head of Household and Power of Veto competitions, as well as live evictions. Julie Chen will of course host.

  • President Donald Trump’s former adviser and close confidant, Omarosa Manigault Newman, sparked several workplace controversies before her dramatic departure from the White House this week.
  • In one instance, Newman reportedly lashed out at prominent members of the Congressional Black Caucus following a March meeting, when they requested privacy in the West Wing to discuss what they would tell reporters. 
  • “You don’t get to come into our house and demand to have f—— privacy,” Newman reportedly said.
  • The account was disputed by a source close to Louisiana Rep. Cedric Richmond, the chairman of the CBC. 

It’s no secret that Omarosa Manigault Newman’s departure from the White House was fraught with controversy.

Chief of staff John Kelly reportedly fired Newman earlier this week because she “acted very vulgar and cursed a lot and said she helped elect President Trump,” according to Urban Radio Networks’ April D. Ryan. After being fired, Newman is said to have walked to the president’s residence and “tried to get in.” Secret Service then reportedly had to escort her off the grounds. 

On Friday, an ABC News report suggested that Newman’s entire tenure at the White House was filled with similarly tense encounters. 

In March, Newman met with prominent members of the Congressional Black Caucus after they had a highly-publicized meeting with Trump. Newman had arranged the meeting in her role as communications director for the Office of Public Liaison. 

After the meeting, members of the caucus asked to be left alone in the lobby of the West Wing to discuss what they would tell reporters waiting outside, ABC News said. 

Newman reportedly told the lawmakers, “You don’t get to come into our house and demand to have f—— privacy.” A source told ABC News that a member of the White House staff tried to convince Newman to give the lawmakers privacy, but she would not walk away. 

That account was somewhat disputed by a source close to Democratic Louisiana Rep. Cedric Richmond, the chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus. The person told ABC News that Newman didn’t overstep any boundaries and was defending a White House staffer. 

“She was within her right to do that because a CBC person was being a bit rude,” they said. 

Before her departure, Newman had come under some media scrutiny because her position in the White House was vague and undefined, which frustrated some of her colleagues. Kelly, who became chief of staff last summer, is said to have made it a key focus to determine the exact roles and responsibilities of main West Wing staffers like senior adviser Jared Kushner and former chief strategist Steve Bannon. 

Following her dismissal, Newman said that the White House’s “lack of diversity” made her feel “very lonely.”

Since Saturday Night Live already spoofed A Christmas Carol a couple weeks back, what would they do with Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump during the actual Christmas show?

Saturday’s cold open began with a special holiday message from the president and First Lady Melania Trump, during which he declared the War on Christmas is over… soon to be replaced by the war with North Korea. He was then joined by a bevy of special guests — including Scarlett Johansson’s Ivanka and “Elf on the Shelf” Jeff Sessions — to decorate the “tree of shame” with Sean Spicer, Anthony Scaramucci and Steve Bannon ornaments.

The festivities were twice interrupted by the recently ousted Omarosa Manigault (Leslie Jones), who attempted to serenade Trump from outside his window by holding up a boombox that played the theme song to The Apprentice.

Omarosa Manigault, the director of communications for the White House’s Office of Public Liaison, engaged in a contentious exchange Friday during an appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists’ convention in New Orleans. 

Manigault, a controversial former “Apprentice” star, was reportedly invited to speak on a panel concerning police brutality.

At one point during the panel, the moderator, Bounce TV’s Ed Gordon, played a recording of Trump appearing to advocate for police misconduct, telling officers to not be “too nice” to those they arrest. 

When asked about the comments, which inflamed civil-rights activists and led to criticism from police departments around the country, Manigault refused to “defend every single word and decision” Trump makes.  

“I’m not going to stand here and defend everything about Donald Trump,” Manigault said, according to BuzzFeed reporter Adrian Carrasquillo.

Manigault acknowledged being one of the only senior black officials in the White House and said that it’s her “responsibility” to bring stakeholders in the black community into policy discussions, Carrasquillo reported.

“Omarosa says issues of black community are brought up in admin because she is there,” Carrasquillo tweeted. 

When asked how she is working with the Department of Justice on policing issues, Manigault responded, “Google me,” New York Times reporter Yamiche Alcindor tweeted. She also reportedly said, “I don’t work at the Justice Department — it’s not even part of my portfolio.”

Manigualt’s invitation to speak, which was made after two panel members pulled out unexpectedly, was highly controversial. 

“The majority there don’t want her involved. It’s heavy drama — even the moderator is refusing. Everyone sees it as extremely offensive,” an unnamed source told the New York Post. 

During the panel, several audience members stood and turned their backs to the stage in protest.

A Howard University student, Maya King, tweeted a video of Manigault and Gordon on their feet arguing with each other on stage, adding that the two were “giving every single journalist in this room what they came for — drama.”

“I’ll see y’all at the White House Christmas party in December,” Gordon reportedly said as Omarosa walked out of the room.
