Alexandra Burke and Elaine Paige unveiled the shortlist this afternoon ahead of the Catherine Tate-hosted ceremony on April 8. The big takeaway is that Hamilton has broken the all-time record for the most nominations, with an astronomical 13 – beating Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Hairspray’s previous high bar of 11. Other big names on the list include Imelda Staunton twice, plus Andrew Garfield, Bryan Cranston and six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald. See the full list below. The Frenchman was included in the squad for the 3-1 defeat to Swansea this evening and came off the bench for the final 15 minutes of the match. After the game, the 31-year-old went to applaud the away fans, suggesting he was bidding farewell to the Gunners faithful. And Arsene Wenger seemed to suggest the striker had played his final game for the north London club when quizzed after the match. When asked if Giroud had played his final game for Arsenal, Wenger told Sky Sports: “It’s a possibility. “But all that will be decided tomorrow morning. “We will inform you once that is more definite.” Giroud’s departure is set to pave the way for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join from Borussia Dortmund. And Wenger was equally coy about a deal for the Gabon international, claiming it would all be resolved tomorrow on deadline day. “We will know about that tomorrow morning,” he said when asked about the striker’s imminent arrival. The deal will come as no surprise to Arsenal suporters after Wenger admitted last week Giroud could leave if a suitable replacement was found. “I want Olivier to stay,” he said. “If nobody comes in, nobody goes out. “Maybe one or two young players out on loan but the experienced side of the squad stays. “I have a consistent exchange with him. We speak about it a lot. “He has played a lot of games and scored important goals. “He is an important player and every player has a lot of respect for him. “He will get more games and can only leave if someone else comes in “To lose him [Theo Walcott] and Olivier, without bringing anyone in, would be too many.” With the transfer window set to close on Wednesday night, a transfer merry-go-round involving Arsenal, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund could have a major impact on several deals. Arsenal are closing on a £55million deal for Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the German side want Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi to replace him. And the Blues have targeted Arsenal’s Giroud to fill in for Batshuayi. Giroud has had to play deputy to Alexandre Lacazette this season and is desperate for first-team football to guarantee a place in France’s World Cup squad. The 31-year-old is understood to favour staying in London for family reasons which would rule out a move to Dortmund. Express Sport understands Arsenal are prepared to let Giroud join Chelsea as part of a £35m deal including David Luiz. Talks over this proposed transfer broke down but according to French newspaper L’Equipe, discussions have since restarted. But it is claimed Monaco and Dortmund remain interested in Giroud. The report says Giroud is facing the “longest 48 hours of his life” as he waits for his future to be decided. Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is expected to provide an update on their transfer business at his press conference at 1.15pm. The Gunners are facing the prospect of losing talismanic forward Alexis Sanchez this month with Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea circling. And they’re under pressure to replace the Chilean with a big-money signing as they bid to keep their challenges going on three fronts. Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates in the past and it appears Arsenal have settled on the striker as Sanchez’s replacement. The Evening Standard report Arsene Wenger is planning a bid of £35m for Aubameyang, with Giroud to be thrown in to sweeten the potential deal. New head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is said to have allayed any doubts the Arsenal boss may have over the Gabon international’s discipline. And that means Wenger will soon test the waters by making an opening offer of £35m plus Giroud for a player valued by Dortmund at just over £53m. Aubameyang’s future was thrown into question over the weekend when he was left out of Dortmund’s squad for their Bundesliga showdown with Wolfsburg. And chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has revealed the 28-year-old will meet with sporting director Michael Zorc and head coach Peter Stoger today to discuss plans going forwards. “Auba has to talk to the coach and tell him whether he is ready to give everything for Borussia Dortmund,” said Watzke. “Peter Stoger and Michael Zorc will discuss it with him.” Stoger is confident Aubameyang, who’s twice asked to leave Dortmund in the past, will stay at Signal Iduna Park this month. “Let’s see how it develops in the next days,” he said. “For me it is just logical [that Aubameyang stays]. “He is a player of BVB, he trains and he is in our plans for the upcoming match.” Should today’s talks prove positive from an Arsenal perspective, the prospect of signing Giroud may tempt Dortmund into letting Aubameyang go. The Bundesliga outfit will need a replacement for the former AC Milan man and were tipped to swoop for Giroud if he left last summer. Arsenal have not yet spoken to Dortmund over a deal because German giants would have had to disclose it due to their listing on the stock market. Sanchez’s seemingly impending exit means Arsenal will soon have to engage with them though. United are now the favourites to get Sanchez on-board after Manchester City withdrew from the transfer battle. Chelsea could yet make a last-minute swoop to snatch him from their old manager Jose Mourinho’s nose. Everton were heavily linked with a move for Giroud in the summer after selling Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United in a £75million deal. Giroud looked set to be leaving Arsenal after the £52m arrival of Alexandre Lacazette pushed the 30-year-old further down the pecking order. But he stayed at the Emirates as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger didn’t want to risk losing both Giroud and Alexis Sanchez, who was close to joining Manchester City towards the end of the window. But with the World Cup in Russia approaching, the towering Frenchman could look to leave Arsenal in search of regular game time. And according to The Mirror, Giroud will be offered a lifeline at Everton in January with the Toffees expected to renew their interest when the transfer window reopens. Everton are said to be willing to pay £40m to land the former Montpellier forward, who has scored 99 goals for Arsenal since his £12m move in 2012. Everton have struggled in front of goal so far this season, losing three Premier League games on the bounce without scoring before yesterday’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth. Ronald Koeman has so far put his faith in youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin – who is yet to score in the league – and needed two goals from Oumar Niasse from off the bench to beat the Cherries. But after Koeman dropped Niasse to the reserves and offloaded him to Hull on loan last season, the Everton boss is unlikely to trust him as his main striker for the rest of the season.

Vivien Leigh and Lawrence Olivier
It was an open secret in the 1930s that the film star, who would go on to win an Oscar for Gone With The Wind, was having a steamy affair with acting great Laurence Olivier.
Out of duty to their spouses the pair tried to resist before bowing to the inevitable and running away together.
Leigh’s black leather-bound diary, which has been unveiled for the first time prior to being auctioned, gives an insight into her turmoil. Torn between honouring her marriage vows and following the path of true love she made the momentous decision to leave husband Leigh Holman and their daughter.
Holman was a barrister and 13 years her senior but the actress fell head over heels for Olivier when they were cast as lovers in the swashbuckling fi lm Fire Over England in 1937. At the time Olivier was married to actress Jill Esmond and they had an infant son.
Leigh’s diary, spanning 1937- 1939, is part of a collection of her possessions being auctioned in London by Sotheby’s on September 26. About 300 items are being sold by her three grandsons, including a painting of roses given to Leigh by her friend Winston Churchill which is expected to fetch up to £100,000.
The appointment diary, which also records visits to theatres to watch Olivier, is expected to attract bids of up to £3,000.

It shows how the actress, then in her mid-20s and celebrated for her stunning looks, assiduously detailed every event in her life. She was besotted with Olivier and seized any opportunity to be near him, even if it was an occasion which involved his wife. In May 1937 all three travelled to Denmark for a production of Hamlet.
This, this was love. This was the real thing
BUT her determination to end the romance failed that summer. “Told Leigh,” she records on June 10 1937, condensing the moment she broke the news of her affair. This entry is followed a day later by the confirmation of her flight into Olivier’s arms: “Left with Larry.”
Leigh’s tortured state of mind is indicated by frantic pencil strikes through the entry, as if that would erase the hurt she was causing her family. Neither of their spouses would initially grant a divorce so Leigh and Olivier, then 37, moved in together. They were the golden couple of British acting and the affair, which the film industry tried to keep secret, caused a scandal.

There were later attempts to reconcile with their spouses but Leigh and Olivier were eventually married in 1940 in front of only a handful of guests in California. The passion between the couple during this period is also evident in letters held in the Victoria & Albert Museum archives.
“I woke up absolutely raging with desire for you,” Olivier writes in one, to which Leigh replies: “If we loved each other only with our bodies I suppose it would be all right. I love you with much more than that. I love you with, oh everything somehow, with a special kind of soul.”
Later Olivier writes to Leigh, who was born in India in 1913 but sent to England for her education: “You are in my thoughts and weighing so heavily in my heart all the time. I am only existing until I see you again and only just managing to do that.”
The couple created a storm when they headed for Hollywood when both were still married to other people but the scandal did not stop Leigh winning an Oscar for her portrayal of Scarlett O’Hara in Gone With The Wind in 1939. She won another in 1952 for her role as Blanche Dubois in A Streetcar Named Desire.
Olivier, who is considered one of our greatest actors for his ability to switch effortlessly from stage to screen, went two better wining four Oscars. Of particular note was his brooding Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights. Yet there was to be no happy-ever-after in the love story of Vivien and Larry.

Leigh, who contracted TB in Africa in the 1940s, battled against ill-health and depression. In 1947 the pair toured Australia to promote the Old Vic theatre but she often refused to go on stage. Crew members reported furious fights between husband and wife, which sometimes ended in Leigh slapping Olivier, who was knighted that year.
Two miscarriages made matters worse and she suffered a nervous breakdown. It was said that she was envious of his career continuing while hers was hampered by illness.
In 1958 Olivier began a relationship with actress Joan Plowright, who became wife number three. Leigh, in turn, had an affair with actor Jack Merivale, apparently with Olivier’s blessing, and they were divorced in 1960. But when Leigh succumbed to a recurrence of TB in 1967 it was Olivier, consumed by anguish, who rushed to her death bed. She was just 53.
Shortly before he died in 1989 Olivier was watching one of Leigh’s old films with a friend. With tears in his eyes the old actor is said to have remarked: “This, this was love. This was the real thing.”

“Just look at what you could have won!” Because, sorry to spike the euphoria: on last night’s show, anybody talking up Arsenal’s chances of winning the title is spouting a load of Bully.
Even a late winner from Olivier Giroud should not paper over the cracks that continue to permeate Arsene Wenger’s side, despite the kick up the backside that not qualifying for the Champions League is supposed to have given the whole institution.
However for too long, it has been the same old story. Being too frugal, lacking bite, missing leadership. Whatever the theory, the massive trophy has never been more than a passing visitor to the Emirates Stadium since it was built. The one year Arsenal’s rivals all but handed it to Wenger, it was Leicester that nipped in to steal it.
Mainly because in Jamie Vardy they had a man capable of scoring enough goals to get over the line.
Twelve months ago, he had the chance to mark that fairy-tale success with a move to the Emirates but even now he remains a Leicester player. Instead that No9 shirt has been filled by Alexandre Lacazette after Lucas Perez proved such an ineffective incumbent.
Charged with matching Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal for goal by Wenger coming into the game, technically that gave him 64 minutes to hit the back of the net to make a similar impact on the Premier League to the Swede last season.
It took the France international just 94 seconds. Mohamed Elneny picked him out with the cross, Lacazette steered his eight-yard header wide of Kasper Schmeichel.
Sadly for Arsenal, that was just one of their perennial problems instantly solved. Leicester’s near-instant equaliser was far too easy, Marc Albrighton swung the ball in, debutant Harry Maguire nodded the ball back across goal and Shinji Okazaki headed in from close range. Three Arsenal centre-backs – none doing their job.
For the neutral it made for a mouth-watering reintroduction to top-flight football. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looked menacing running from deep, forcing a low save from Schmeichel.
Danny Welbeck almost walked the ball into the goal and Sead Kolasinac’s deflected effort was well saved. Then, at the other end, it happened again. Granit Xhaka conceded possession far too easily, Albrighton sprung forward, the cross was perfect and Vardy needed no second invitation.
However, just as the first half-time boos were forming in the backs of the throats of the Arsenal fans, they dug themselves out of a hole.
The impressive Kolasinac was again involved, this time selflessly teeing up Welbeck to score after they both somehow wormed their way through the Leicester defence.
If the break was a chance for Arsenal to reorganise there was little sign of it. Petr Cech dashed from his goal to deny Vardy and tipped over the bar from Riyad Mahrez.
From the corner, though, his defence again went missing as Vardy ghosted past Xhaka and Nacho Monreal to nod Leicester back in front.
Giroud was brought on as a third striker. Aaron Ramsey also came on and immediately headed narrowly wide.
At least it gave him a sighter. Seven minutes from time, Xhaka picked him out the Wales international with the outside of his right boot, Ramsey composed himself and found the back of the net.
Then incredibly, and somewhat unfairly on balance, Giroud’s header bounced off the underside of the bar and a foot or so over the line. It sent the Arsenal fans home happy, but goodness knows for how long.
The France international has been pushed down the pecking order following the arrival of Alex Lacazette but emerged from the bench to score a late goal as Arsenal came from 3-2 down in the last seven minute to beat Leicester 4-3.
And, in the face of interest from Everton and Marseille, Wenger was adamant he would be going nowhere before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
“I love the man and the player,” Wenger said.
“He’s a fantastic guy and he’s committed, so this is one of my best days for a number of weeks.
“At one stage, I opened the door for him as I knew I had many strikers, and in the end he decided to stay. It’s determined.
“That’s fantastic – I don’t want him to go. It’s impossible to keep them happy when strikers don’t play but we have many games and hopefully I can give games to all the strikers. They all deserve to play.”
Two goals from Jamie Vardy looked to have given Leicester a rare away win at Arsenal as the Gunners defended atrociously in front of a hesitant Petr Cech.
“Going forward and character wise we have been great – the spirit of the team was absolutely outstanding,” Wenger said.
“But we had some avoidable goals and overall we have to work on that.”
But Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare said of Vardy: “We’re encouraging him to play to his strengths, getting in behind, being a nuisance to the defenders, but also to get in that box and score goals.
“You saw the desire to get on the end of the corner, terrific.”
Arsenal this week completed a club-record deal for striker Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon, raising doubts over Giroud’s future at the Emirates.
Giroud struggled for game time at the Gunners last season, starting just 11 Premier League matches.
He has been linked with a return to France with Marseille and Lyon, while Premier League rivals Everton and West Ham are said to be interested.
And bookmakers Betfair have slashed Giroud’s odds of joining Marseille this summer from 12/1 to 5/1 following a flurry of bets.
Giroud admitted last month that he could be tempted into joining Marseille.
“I am not insensitive to the approaches of the French clubs,” he told broadcaster Telefoot. “Especially that of a legendary club like Marseille.”
But Everton remain 5/4 favourites to sign the France international as they look to replace last season’s top goalscorer Romelu Lukaku.
Manchester United announced yesterday that they had agreed a fee with Everton for Lukaku, believed to be £75million rising to £90m.
Giroud joined Arsenal in the summer of 2012 from Montpellier and has gone on to win three FA Cups, scoring 98 goals in the process.
And Betfair have priced the the Frenchman at 7/4 to remain at the north London club for another season, while West Ham are at 5s.
This is according to Sky Sports, who claim the Ligue 1 club are willing to pay £20million for the 30-year-old striker.
The report adds Marseille believe they can convince the forward to return to his homeland.
Giroud has struggled to hold down a regular place at Arsenal first team this season.
The France international has had to compete with Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck for the sole striker spot in Arsene Wenger’s side.
Giroud has only made eight Premier League starts this term, and he admitted last month he has found being on the sidelines this season difficult to cope with.
“For me, the most difficult moment was after scoring an important goal against Manchester United, I thought I had scored some points and would start against PSG… but no,” Giroud told French magazine L’Equipe.
“So I asked to speak to the coach to understand. I accept his decisions but I tell him what I think, without being negative, without antagonising.
“There are no misunderstandings between us.
“The coach explained to me that he was adopting this system [4-2-3-1] to find a defensive balance.
“Sometimes, I played with Sanchez on the left, but the rest of time I have to adapt to the tactical decisions.
“I understand the notion of balance once the ball is lost.”
Giroud, who originally joined Arsenal in 2012 from Montpellier, has nine league goals this term.
And he is under contract with the Gunners until the summer of 2020, after he signed a contract extension back in January.
