Speaking about whether there would be a time jump between seasons five and six, Matthew explained he isn’t planning to change the storyline, however, they do run into occasions when additional cast members are unavailable.

“I’m not looking to change the story. We just run into challenges,” he remarked.

But Murray the Magpie will not be flying east for the club’s championship-decider against Melbourne United at Hisense Arena on Saturday night.

The Sixers mascot has entertained fans and revved up players with his colourful sideline antics at each home match this season, including last Sunday’s nine-point Game Four triumph.

Adelaide general manager Joe Tertzakian says Murray is unable to make the 727km flight across the border as he already had Easter commitments with his feathered friends.

“Murray is part of our family,” Tertzakian says.

“If he could be there courtside in Melbourne, we would love to have him with us.

“It would be a lot of fun, but unfortunately he can’t make it.”

There are no NBL rules preventing visiting team mascots from being courtside during away games.

Although most, including Murray, prefer to strut their stuff on home turf.

Joe says Murray, who does not talk but once made a reverse half-court shot in a half-time show, would be supporting the Sixers from afar.

“I’m 100 per cent confident he’ll be cheering the team on from back here,” Joe says.

“Hopefully he’ll be rallying fans at the Arkaba (Hotel) on Saturday.”

While Murray won’t be courtside, seven of the Sixers cheerleaders are on their way to Melbourne – out of their own pocket – to support the boys, though they’ll only be cheering from the stands.

Adelaide supporters can celebrate – or commiserate – with the team tomorrow at the club’s fan day at Adelaide Arena from 3pm.

Trailers are an under-appreciated art form insofar that many times they’re seen as vehicles for showing footage, explaining films away, or showing their hand about what moviegoers can expect. Foreign, domestic, independent, big budget: What better way to hone your skills as a thoughtful moviegoer than by deconstructing these little pieces of advertising?

This week we try to go home again, take ourselves out to the ballgame with Bill Murray and his brother Brian, shake it like a Polaroid picture, oontz oontz oontz inside Cuba, and take a Czech skinhead bowling. 

Instant Dreams Trailer

First of all, whoever chose this as a thumbnail, you nameless perv, was obviously looking to grab some attention. And, judging by the number of views it has on the 2017 IDFA’s You Tube page this strategy worked.

That being said, director Willem Baptist’s ode to a fading format, or at least a format that is now considered kitsch more than anything else, rides high on a trailer that is part documentary on the film that brought us the Polaroid but also excels at contextualizing this technology’s impact on society when it was at its zenith. I’m not sure of how many people would really be entertained by something that can be seen as a dead format thanks to digital photography but I was, and am, wildly interested in watching this thing from start to finish.

Bill Murray & Brian Doyle Murray’s – Extra Innings Trailer

You’ve got Bill Murray being Bill Murray.

Launching on Facebook’s Watch platform (yet another service to monitor for original programming), the trailer showcases the Brothers Murray doing what they do as they take in a whole lot of baseball. As a Cubs fan who appreciates, and appreciated, the extra little dollop of awesome Bill added to last year’s World Series win I know he’s a fan of the sport. I don’t know if I’m all in on this but it would be nice if there was actually something worth wading through the morass of suck on Facebook to get to it.

Mountains May Move Trailer

Moving.

This kind of trailer is like a nice herbal tea after a long day. With trailers that just want to beat you in the face with its quick cuts and musical interludes and amazing video production prowess there are trailers like this one that just want to tell a story. Director Jia Zhangke certainly has a tale to tell and it doesn’t hide what it’s trying to say. It’s so straightforward that even I want to know where we end up by the conclusion of this movie and even though it’s letting us in on why we’re all gathered here it’s sumptuous visual and emotional elegance is just magical.

Give Me Future Trailer

Cuba.

Be it Hemingway or communism or Castro or any other thing that, culturally, we associate with the island 90 miles south of Key West, Florida the facts do remain that, as a culture, Cuba is isolated. I won’t purport to understand how Cuba sees itself against the backdrop of other countries around the world but director Austin Peters has something of a cultural exchange to document here. Seeing groups of people come together under a common shared interest, here being something a little younger than The Rolling Stones and especially considering the precarious relationship America has with its neighbor to the south, it’s nonetheless uplifting to see what positive steps can come out of having a good time.

The White World According to Daliborek Trailer

What we have here is a Czech neo-Nazi that has his white nationalism anthem busted up by his mom scolding him for being too loud.

Director Vít Klusák appears to have crafted a documentary that doesn’t condemn an ignoramus like our protagonist and I appreciate that if for no other reason than the words, behaviors, style of dress, all amplify what appears to be someone who would alarmingly fit right in with other parts of the world who believe this kind of rhetoric and thinking. For whatever reason someone like this is on a path to eventual moral bankruptcy it is fascinating nonetheless to watch that slow burning flame try to stay lit in today’s environment.

Facebook is nabbing shows left and right for its Watch platform, which finished rolling out to US users in September. While it’s added current content with a Humans of New York program, a reality show with Marshawn Lynch and several popular Latino YouTube series, Watch is about to get a legend. Bill Murray is getting own unscripted comedy visiting minor league baseball teams with his brother. Because of course.

Bill Murray and Brian Doyle-Murray’s Extra Innings will debut the first of ten 8-minute episodes on Monday, November 20th, with a new one coming every week. Murray, a well-known Chicago Cubs fanatic, is also an apparent longtime supporter of minor-league baseball. Across the show’s run, Bill and Brian will visit the St. Paul Saints and Charleston RiverDogs (both of which Murray partly owns) as well as the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks and the Kansas City T-Bones. They’ll also head to the Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum to hang with kids and pay homage to tragically lesser-known baseball history, respectively.

I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to see how the new TVR turns out. The British company made its name through a simple formula: a lightweight, rear-wheel drive chassis, plenty of power, a unique interior, and absolutely no electronic safety net. It died of neglect a few years ago, but a reborn TVR Tuscan is due in a couple of years and will be built in a new factory in Wales that uses Gordon Murray’s clever new iStream process. Today, we got our best look so far at the new car when TVR released some teasers ahead of this week’s Goodwood Revival.

The chassis is a mix of steel tubes with carbon fiber panels bonded to them for stiffness. In a nod to TVR’s roots, the engine will be an American V8; a 5.0L Ford Coyote (out of the current Mustang) is coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox. Cosworth will then work its magic on the Coyote until it meets TVR’s new power-to-weight goal.  Target weight is 1,250kg (2,756lbs) and the engineers are trying to get to 400hp/tonne (5.51lbs/hp seems the easiest US conversion).

ANDY Murray has paid tribute to victims of terror after delivering he most emphatic display of a previously stuttering French Open crusade, posting his 650th career win by toppling young Russian Karen Khachanov in straight sets.

In questionable form pre-tournament after missing several events with shingles, Murray ruthlessly ousted the unseeded Khachanov 6-3 6-4 6-4.

The Scot was given a standing ovation after using his on-court post-match interview with former player Fabrice Santoro to “share thoughts and prayers with everyone who has been affected” by recent attacks in London and Manchester, where 29 people have died over the past two weeks.

“Obviously there was a terrible tragedy in London, and in Manchester six or seven days ago. Paris has had its problems too in recent years,” Murray said.

“I am sure everyone will join me … we share our thoughts and prayers with everyone who has been affected. It’s obviously something that has affected large parts of Europe.

“I appreciate everyone still coming out to support the tennis. I am grateful that I can still perform in front of everyone.”

Renowned for sensitivity behind his gruff, dour exterior, Murray survived the 1996 school massacre in Dunblane, where 18 died.

Murray needed four sets to tame Andrey Kuznetsov and Martin Klizan in the opening two rounds here before hitting his straps against Juan Martin del Potro and now Khachanov.

The world No.1 was eliminated in the Barcelona semis, third round of both Monte Carlo and Madrid and his opening match in Rome, sapping his confidence.

But there was clear evidence the Scot was back to his best as he dismantled Khachanov’s huge weapons to safely advance.

With 29 winners and only 14 unforced errors, Murray was simply too clean for impetuous Khachanov, who fired 34 winners but also had 38 unforced blunders.

The win elevates Murray into his seventh Roland Garros quarter-final, the most last-eight appearances of any current player behind Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, who all have 11 here.

Murray will play Kei Nishikori for a semil-final berth after the Japanese gun overwhelmed Spain’s Fernando Verdasco 0-6 6-4 6-4 6-0.
