The Grand Tour is part-way through its fourth season, after the release of its first special, The Grand Tour Presents: Seamen. While the show has expanded its size and scale, so too has its budget. Although the budget is not common knowledge, the cast of the show discussed its budget in an unearthed video.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are usually pretty secretive about the show’s budget – as are Amazon Prime Video.

But during a video interview with GQ back in 2017, they touched upon the money being spent on the series.

After being asked a question about the show’s budget, the trio were then questioned about the supposed £160 million surrounding the show.

But Clarkson quickly hit back at the question, shrugging it off as incorrect.

“It doesn’t take a rocket scientist. There’s no Stig, there’s no track, there’s no dunsfold. What we wanted to protect was the films.”

But he went on to say: “It does get hilarious. You’ve got these meetings where it’s like: ‘Can James May still say c**k or is the BBC going to sue?’

“James is then saying: ‘I’ve always said c**k!’ It’s win-win, as if we get sued for James saying c**k that’ll be brilliant. They got funnier and funnier.”

To ensure the show is not at risk of becoming involved in any legal issues, Andy concluded: “The lawyers go through everything.”

Thankfully, there hasn’t been any legal issues in the show so far, so it is due to continue.

The next portion of The Grand Tour’s fourth season has not yet been released, and so far, no release date has been provided.

Thankfully, fans know where it will be set – Madagascar – bringing a bright and colourful setting to the gearhead show.

  • The bet was so large it appears to have moved the spread of the game a full point in favor of the Eagles.
  • The Patriots have a history of playing close games in the Super Bowl, so if the mystery bettor took the points, he will have history on his side heading into the game.

More than a week away from Super Bowl LII, Las Vegas is already seeing seven-figure bets made on the big game.

According to a report from ESPN’s David Purdum, MGM vice president of race and sports Jay Rood recently confirmed that the group took a “multimillion-dollar” wager on the Philadelphia Eagles over the New England Patriots from one brave, early bettor.

Rood was hesitant to disclose more details about the bet, and would not say the exact amount of the wager or whether the bet was made on the moneyline or against the spread. Regardless of the precise amount, Purdum claims it’s one of the largest reported bets in Nevada in recent history.

The bet was so large that it appears to have moved the line at MGM a full point, with the Patriots moving from a -5.5 to a -4.5 favorite on Wednesday afternoon. As of Thursday morning, the majority of Las Vegas sportsbooks have the Patriots favored by five.

If this bettor took the points, history bodes well for their bankroll, as Tom Brady and the Patriots have kept things fairly close even with their unparalleled Super Bowl success.

Larger bets are not entirely uncommon in Las Vegas, especially on the most bet-on event of the year, but taking a bet of this size this far from the game is somewhat out of the norm.

“I’ve had inquiries for some big bets,” Rood said. “Last year, on Saturday and Sunday, we took probably a record number of six-figure wagers. I’m thinking the same kind of thing is going to happen this year.”

But taking the bet this early has its advantages for the sportsbook, as now MGM has more time to maneuver their spread and other bets to put them in a better position before kickoff.

The Super Bowl kicks off February 4, and many more millions will be bet on both the Eagles and Patriots before they finally meet on the field in Minneapolis. But as it stands, at least one bettor already has at least seven figures riding on the game.

We’ve had a wealth of average to excellent car-related movies this year. We’ve had the eighth Fast and Furious film, a movie about a heist surrounding a NASCAR event called Logan Lucky, and the musically-flavored getaway driver movie Baby Driver. Now we can add one more to the list. This is yet another heist movie, and this time it’s about stealing the cars.

It’s called Overdrive, and with the car theft angle, it seems to be a mix of Gone in 60 Seconds (probably more like the Nicolas Cage remake than the ’70s original) and the Fast and Furious series. We bring up the latter because the trailer shows off some pretty absurd stunts, like breaking into a semi on the highway, and driving over a crumbling bridge. There’s also the fact that the writers of 2 Fast 2 Furious are behind this film. But hey, at least they’re not crashing cars through skyscrapers or escaping rivers of hacked cars.

The car selection for this movie is particularly high-class and high-dollar. In the opening of the trailer, and in the exclusive movie stills above, you can see the main characters trying to make off with a Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic, a car that has seen sales of over $ 30 million in the past. At some point, those same main characters have to secure an even more valuable Ferrari 250 GTO. One of those sold for over $ 38 million. Mixed in with these ultra-rare machines are classics such as a Porsche 356 and Ferrari F40, as well as more modern machines like a Civic Type R and a Porsche 911. If a bunch of sweet cars and fast-paced driving sound good to you, consider checking out Overdrive when it hits theaters on October 6.

The launch was performed as part of a research project which features the US military and Boeing.

The rocket blasted off through Australian skies on an unspecified date in early July.

The video of the launch was posted by the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture & Information Technology of the University of Queensland, a partner in the HIFiRE (Hypersonic International Flight Research Experimentation Program) program, on July 13.

The experimental flight codenamed HyShot 5 or HiFiRE 4 is a joint effort by researchers from Queensland University, Australia’s Defence Science and Technology Group – a unit of Australia’s Department of Defence – the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and a number of high-profile private companies, including Boeing and BAE Systems.

A series of launches have been already carried out within the US$ 54m project, including tests conducted in Hawaii and Norway in 2012, according to The Drive.

The latest test came amid criticisms voiced by some members of the US Congress over the lack of response by the Pentagon to the alleged development of the hypersonic capabilities by Moscow and Beijing, The Drive noted.

In May, US Navy Admiral Harry Harris, head of the US Pacific Command, said at a Congress hearing that Washington will have to counter a potential threat to the US associated with this trend.

“What we can do is to develop our own hypersonic weapons and improve our defenses against theirs,” he said, as cited by the The Drive.

In a congratulatory statement from July 10, Australia’s Defense Minister Marise Payne called the launch “a success” that “takes us one step closer to the realization of hypersonic flight.”

Payne specifically highlighted the role of the launch in raising the military potential of the Australian Defense Force, saying that having mastered the technology of hypersonic flight, Canberra would be better equipped to respond to “future threats.”

The range in Woomera, a remote town in South Australia’s Far North region, housing the Australian Defense Force base and Woomera Test Range, was chosen because of its “vast area and ability to support continuous telemetry collection during the flight,” Payne said.

Saying the July launch would mark the end of the tests performed as part of the HiFiRE series, Payne said Australia aims to maintain its position “at the leading edge of hypersonic research” and looks forward to arranging further hypersonic flight experiments in cooperation with the US.

While the designed speed of the hypersonic missile of Mach 8 (8000 km/hr) nears that of a typical intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), the hypersonic glider’s advantage lies in its enhanced maneuverability.

ABC News hired the 30-year-old BBC reporter to serve as a foreign correspondent based at ABC’s London bureau.

The correspondent accepted a rumoured multi-million-pound contract as part of the new deal.

ABC News President James Goldston announced to staff: “James has a deep understanding of the Middle East conflict and the complex politics and issues in the region.

“He has interviewed families torn apart by war, former ISIS members and jihadists tied to the UK and Europe.”

A former head boy of £31,000-a-year Worth School in West Sussex, the reporter is fluent in Arabic, French and English, was raised in London and Cairo and wrote a Master’s Degree thesis on Syrian politics.

US magazines have described him as “smoking hot”, while Longman himself has gained a large online after posting topless pictures to his Instagram account.

Longman tweeted: “Some news about me: excited to join @ABC News as foreign correspondent. A huge honour but will miss brilliant BBC and its wonderful people.”

Friends and fans of the reporter, dubbed the “Beirut Beefcake”, took to social media to congratulate him on the move earlier this month.

One tweeted: “Congratulations @JamesAALongman You have a lot to be proud of with your work at BBC. The Depression documentary was outstanding!”

“Wow. Congratulations James. Sorry Beeb couldn’t keep hold of you but fantastic move. All the best x,” posted another.

A third simply wrote: “Oh no we will miss seeing you on our screens.”
