A third tweeted: “Tim Lovejoy channelling his inner Starsky on Sunday Brunch today #SundayBrunch.” “Dear Tim … What on earth is that cardigan all about #SundayBrunch,” someone else added. “What is Tim wearing, he’s taken lockdown hard when he is wearing his slouchy clothes on tv #sundaybrunch,” a fifth remarked. However, some viewers were fans of the new look as one tweeted: “A cardigan with BUILT-IN MITTENS! Need this in my life… @timlovejoy @SundayBrunchC4 #SundayBrunch.” Sunday Brunch airs on Channel 4 on Sundays at 9.30am. Madonna took to the stage last night for a performance that received mixed reviews, with some slamming the superstar not only for her “flat” vocals but also her bizarre fashion choices. The outfit she donned was compared to HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, which is airing its much-anticipated finale tonight. Some viewers said the pop icon would belong to House Greyjoy had she appeared in the HBO fantasy drama in the glittering outfit. One Twitter user said: “Wait, is Madonna coming to steal the Iron Throne… #GameofThrones #Eurovision.” Someone else penned: “Anyone else getting Game of Thrones vibes from Madonna’s performance with all fire?” Another quipped: “I’m really enjoying #Madonna cosplaying Game of Thrones at #Eurovision.” “From the outfit definitely Madonna is in House Greyjoy #GameofThrones #Eurovision”, said a fourth. READ MORE: Eurovision 2019: OUTRAGED pro-Palestinian protests ERUPT Another viewer suggested the superstar singer resembled the “lovechild of Cersei Lannister and Euron Greyjoy” in the striking get-up. “Why does Madonna look like the lovechild of Cersei Lannister and Euron Greyjoy??? #Eurovision #ForTheThrone #GameOfThrones”, he said. The songstress was also compared to the Sparrows, which is a religious cult-like movement on the popular HBO show. Earlier in the night she appeared in a pre-recorded message, warning the public “not underestimate the power of music to bring people together”. She said: “You’re all winners, no matter what happens. “The reason I mean that is because to get here, where you are right now, is not easy. Right? “First you had a dream and then you had to believe in that dream, and you had to make many sacrifices. “That makes you a winner no matter what. “Another really obvious statement is, look at all the delegates behind us, everyone here is from all over the world. So many countries that I have been privileged not just to visit but to experience. “And the one thing that brings me to those countries, and the thing that brings all these people here tonight, is music. So let’s not underestimate the power of music to bring people together. That’s the most important thing. Music makes the people come together.” The ‘Like a Virgin’ artist also attracted some controversy for choosing to pull off a political stunt despite it being against the spirit of the event. During the pop icon’s performance, two of her dancers were seen with Israeli and Palestinian flags on their backs. The European Broadcast Union (EBU), who organise Eurovision, confirmed the stunt was “not part of the rehearsals”. In a statement reported by The Sun, the EBU said: “In the live broadcast of the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final, two of Madonna’s dancers briefly displayed the Israeli and Palestinian flags on the back of their outfits “This element of the performance was not part of the rehearsals which had been cleared with the EBU and the host broadcaster, KAN. “The Eurovision Song Contest is a non-political event and Madonna had been made aware of this.” It all got a bit much for Labour MP Clive Lewis who decided to simulate shooting himself in the head during a House of Commons debate on the finance bill. The MP for Norwich South, and shadow treasury minister, was filmed shaking his head and laughing while his colleague Anneliese Dodds was interrupted by a Tory MP. Lewis then molds his fingers into the shape of a gun, inserts them into his mouth before pretending to shoot himself in the head. The MP even shakes his body, to account for recoil. The joke received a mixed reaction on social media, with some attacking the MP for ‘disrespect’ and conducting ‘behavior ill-befitting of an MP.’ Mocking suicide from the man who recently called on a woman at Labour Party conference to "get on your knees bitch." — Peter Thompson (@P_G_Thompson) November 20, 2018 6,213 people died of suicide in the UK last year. It’s no laughing matter & this behaviour is ill-befitting of any MP, never mind a frontbencher. Clive Lewis should be ashamed of himself. https://t.co/AFX1GQ4vkH — Paul Church (@pauljchurch) November 20, 2018 While others, including the founder of the ‘MenandBoysCoalition’, defended Lewis, stating he just has a childish sense of humor. Come on: Clive Lewis was a bit of a twonk here, but this is clearly not "mocking suicide" – and I say that as a campaigner on this issue. Let's all stop being so silly and offended about everything 🙏 https://t.co/h9UoERcISi — Martin Daubney (@MartinDaubney) November 20, 2018 Yes, once again, someone is caught doing something very silly and immature – but it was a joke. If conservatives mock the left for getting easily offended, then conservatives shouldn't pretend to be offended when it's the other way round. Get over it. #clivelewishttps://t.co/hThnPiJ1sG — Richard Thomas (@RickyThomasblog) November 20, 2018 The MP’s particular brand of jokes has landed him in trouble in the past. He apologized after he was filmed saying to a man: “Get on your knees, bitch,” at a fringe event at the Labour Party Conference. Like this story? Share it with a friend! An unfortunately-shaped statue of an owl in the Serbian city of Kikinda has provoked ridicule both internationally and at home, with a nearby city, which also has an ambiguously shaped statue, offering some “fraternization.” Kikinda is famous for the owls that nest there in the fall, and decided to celebrate the feathery citizens with a monument created at the local terracotta workshop. The city posted photos of the monument at the beginning of this month, which it rechristened “Owl-vember.” While up close and personal the statue does look like a stylized owl, from a distance it looks like something entirely different. While some of the residents praised the statue, the majority of reactions on Facebook were negative, ranging from open frustration to thinly veiled sarcasm: Now all the foreigners will make fun of us. Take this down, all of Serbia is laughing at us. Disgrace. This looks like many things, but not like an owl at all. This looks nothing like an owl. Who approved this, someone blind? Horrible. Make the owl a bit broader and add feathers, this really looks like a phallus. Which artist created this beautiful sculpture? I need someone to weld my bike… Perhaps the best response, however, came from Loznica. Some residents of the western Serbian town posted a photo of a postmodernist marble statue that looks like a female counterpart to the “owl.” “We’ve had this one for a few years and we don’t mind, though we don’t even know what it’s supposed to represent,” posted the Facebook page Loznica Urban Legends, adding a Serbian-style limerick verse that invited Kikinda to “fraternize.” Think your friends would be interested? Players including Draymond Green, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins, and Jordan Bell are seen miming and dancing in the video which was posted by Warriors reserve forward Alfonzo McKinnie after the side’s 28-point win over the Knicks.
Green reposted the vision with the hashtags #fergieremixchallenge #BeARealMan.
The “be a real man” reference is believed to be a cheeky swipe from Green directed at Fergie’s estranged husband Josh Duhamel who last week ripped the Warriors forward for his reaction her rendition of the National Anthem at the All-Star Game.
“I was pissed off at Draymond Green, first of all. I think he owed her an apology. I thought he was kind of a prick,” Duhamel said on Kristine Leahy’s new Fox Sports show, “Fair Game.”
Though most were puzzled by the performance and other All-Stars were seen laughing, Duhamel’s frustration lays with Green.
“Just because he knew the camera was on him, and he snickered about,” the actor said. “I just thought that, if he would have been a real man, he would have at least called her and said, ‘Listen, I’m sorry that I caused all this.’ … That’s what a real man would have done, in my opinion.”
Seems Duhamel has seen he funny side however as he took to social media after the video went viral saying: “Note to self: Think twice before you call out the champs. Well played Warriors.”
Green replied: “Hahaha it was never any disrespect to her… But the challenge about to be lit G!”
Fergie explained the thought behind the unique performance once criticism mounted.
“I’ve always been honoured and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA,” Fergie told the Hollywood Reporter.
“I’m a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone,” she told Hollywood Reporter. “I love this country and honestly tried my best.”

“Saturday Night Live” kicked off its 44th season with a cold open mocking the Brett Kavanaugh Senate Judiciary Committee hearing from earlier in the week.
It was little surprise “SNL” addressed the day-long Thursday hearing in which both Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford testified on Capitol Hill. Ford accused the Supreme Court nominee of sexually assaulting her when the two were in high school.See the rest of the story at Business Insider

Palestinian protesters carried out a mock execution of US President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, culminating in effigies of the pair being burned. The spectacle comes amid worsening US-Palestinian relations.
The staged hanging took place at Aida refugee camp near Bethlehem in the West Bank to show the community’s “rejection” of US budget cuts to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
Before the execution, demonstrators held up a banner with photos of Trump, Pence and Netanyahu overlaid on a US flag – all marked with an X. Text on the banner read: “Zionism = Nazism = Fascism = USA = ISIS = Terror.”
The effigies were raised over wooden pallets flanked by the Palestinian flag. Children stood among the crowd holding banners reading: “Jerusalem is the title of war and peace [sic] and will remain Palestinian.”
A livestream of the mock execution was broadcast by independent Palestinian TV station, Wattan News Agency. A cardboard Trump was set alight first before eventually falling to the ground where demonstrators stamped on his face. A charred Pence cutout fell later.
Palestinians froze their ties with Washington last November after the US closed the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) office in the capital. Relations worsened in December after Trump formally recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, sparking violent protests on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Earlier this month the US State Department announced it was withholding a total of $ 100 million in payments to UNRWA, calling on other nations to contribute more. The US is the largest donor to the agency. State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert denied the US was withholding $ 65 million to punish the Palestinians and said the funds may be made available in the future.
Trump reiterated his threat to withdraw aid entirely at the World Economic Forum in Davos this week, warning the Palestinians must enter peace talks with Israel if they want US aid. UNRWA provides free schooling to half-a-million Palestinian children in Gaza and the occupied West Bank
Protests were also held on Saturday at other refugee camps on the West Bank and outside UN offices in Gaza calling for urgent action in response to the UNRWA cuts.

We are still three months from the 2018 NFL Draft, but players and teams are already jockeying for position, and experts are starting to weigh in on their early predictions with mock drafts.
We surveyed eight NFL Draft experts who have released mock drafts recently to get a consensus prediction for which players teams might be considering with all 32 first-round picks. Under this format, it is possible for the same player to appear in multiple spots and for some players with first-round talent to not appear at all if there is no consensus on where they might land. As we get closer to the draft we will be able to add more experts and we will start to see more agreement on most of the picks.
The experts: ESPN’s Mel Kiper, Walter Football, RJ White of CBSSports.com, USA Today’s Luke Easterling, Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com, Eric Galko of Sporting News, Rotoworld’s Josh Norris, and DraftTek.

Experts: 5 out of 8
School: USC
Other notable possibilities: Josh Allen, Saquon Barkley
Key expert quote: Rang: “Like any young player, Darnold has his flaws, most notably an elongated windup, which contributes to both fumbles and interceptions. He is accurate (including on the move), athletic and tough. He also comes with a pro-caliber build, offense and media market, making the projection to the next level simpler than most of his competition. “

Experts: 6 out of 8
School: UCLA
Other notable possibilities: Sam Darnold, Saquon Barkley
Key expert quote: Kiper: “Rosen is the top pure passer in this class. He looked better than Darnold when UCLA and USC played late in the season. Rosen, however, has dealt with injuries the past two seasons, and there already have been rumblings that he doesn’t want to end up in Cleveland. There are some red flags. But some team is going to draft him high — he has rare arm talent and has been much more secure with the ball than Darnold and Allen. The Giants could move into life after Eli Manning with a new franchise quarterback.”

Experts: 3 each out of 8
School: Penn State (Barkley), North Carolina State (Chubb)
Other notable possibilities: Arden Key, Orlando Brown
Key expert quote: White: “Barkley is likely the top talent in the draft this year and a decent bet to go No. 1 overall despite the position he plays. The Colts will be looking for a new bell-cow back despite there being no proof that Frank Gore isn’t a warlock who has defeated the slow march of time, and if Barkley is there at No. 3, he could be the top name on the board for the Colts. It wouldn’t be too shocking to see them go pass-rusher or offensive lineman either. “

The Washington Post’s latest “bombshell” has alleged that a rookie journalist who published on left-wing and fringe websites was actually a Russian troll acting on Kremlin orders.
Alice Donovan, or someone writing under that name, published five stories on the left-wing website Counterpunch along with a handful of other less-known websites, the Washington Post reported Tuesday. The Post cited “internal bureau reports” to call Donovan a “pseudonymous foot soldier in an army of Kremlin-led trolls seeking to undermine America’s democratic institutions.”
The Daily Beast re-published the story under an even more sensational headline: “Kremlin troll wrote for far-left US sites.”
Prominent Russiagater Eric Garland echoed the Posts’s claims, saying Donovan was an example of the “Kremlin’s tactic of pushing propaganda through *paid freelance journalists*”
According to Counterpunch, however, Donovan was never paid. Of the five articles she wrote, “none of these submissions were commissioned and she wasn’t compensated for any of the stories.”
While the Post and Beast claimed the curious case of Alice Donovan is part of a Russian disinformation campaign, many social media users were not convinced.
Twitter user @historyinflicks pointed out that Donovan’s Twitter account had a grand total of 40 Twitter followers. That number currently stands at 69, as she has gained more followers since the WaPo story went public.
Alternet journalist Ben Norton called the article a “McCarthyite cudgel” aimed at critics of the Democratic party.
If you still don’t recognize that Russiagate has become a McCarthyite cudgel to attack leftists who refuse to genuflect to the neoliberal Democratic Party and who criticize murderous US foreign policy, wake up. It can’t get any more blatant at this point.https://t.co/L2NeuKLYmt

The Daily Beast’s headline prompted a heavy backlash, too.
So? If the information is correct, why does it matter where it was written? Xenophobes.

For its part, Counterpunch could not find clear evidence that confirmed or refuted Donovan’s existence.
“Since we couldn’t seem to prove that Donovan existed in the physical world, we flipped the matter on its head. Could we prove that Alice Donovan wasn’t real? Could we prove that she was a fiction? Could we, in essence, prove a negative? That answer came more quickly: No.”
The New Republic editor Jeet Heer said that even if Donovan were paid, it would be a poor strategy.
