Twitter suspended the accounts of multiple users who shared a Splinter News article containing a personal phone number supposedly belonging to White House adviser Stephen Miller on Wednesday.
Miller, a 32-year old White House aide, is reportedly the author of some of the Trump administration’s most controversial immigration policies, including the most recent “zero-tolerance” practice of prosecuting all adults who cross the US border illegally and separating them from their children in the process.See the rest of the story at Business Insider

The ITV star has made a name for himself on the hugely-popular soap via a number of harrowing storylines, including his recent struggle with self harming and drug abuse.
Danny, 27, may have got some of his talent from his famous father Vince Miller, as the latter has racked up over 65 years of work in the entertainment industry.
Tonight, the younger actor will appear at the National Television Awards with the hope of getting the lucrative award for Best Serial Performance yet again.
Danny has won multiple awards over the last several years for his performance as the often tormented Yorkshire Dales character, and often credits one of his greatest supporters as being Vince.
The pair are close friends and Danny regularly posts pictures and comments about him on social media.
But who actually is Danny Miller’s father? Here’s everything you need to know about the Emmerdale actor’s famous family-member…
Vince has dabbled in a lot of roles over the life-span of his career, including being a comedian, compère, and even a singer.
The 82-year-old also had a famous brother in the form of Bob Walsh, who was the late husband of Anne Dooley, but didn’t become a father to Danny until he was 55.
Along with the award winner, Vince has a total of nine children, but none are in the public eye apart from Danny.
Vince only recently retired from his colourful career in May last year, which allowed Danny to mark the occasion with a star-studded charity fundraiser.
Yet it was his position as matchday host at Old Trafford that made him known across the UK, and he boasted a roster of famous friends that included Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Bobby Charlton.
Following 29 years in the Manchester United Executive Club’s Old Boardroom, Vince ended up retiring early amid complaints of his conduct.
The star often posts pictures about Vince on Instagram, accompanied by heartfelt messages.
One post even showed that Danny’s co-star Adam Thomas, who played Adam Barton, knew the legendary entertainer, as the actors and their fathers seemed to be enjoying a night of laughs and frivolity surrounded by various drinks.
Danny affectionately captioned it: “Two legends. And their Dads.
@adamthomas21 <3.”
Another post echoed the sentiment, as Danny shared: “This guy is my best friend in the world. Never lets me down, never puts me wrong.
“Can’t say that about a lot of people and not a lot of people can say that about their best mate.. Let alone their own Father..”
In an interview with The Mirror, the actor also revealed the impact his father had had on his own career choices growing up.
“He’s a great compère, very funny and witty, and gets to do loads of things,” he said. “I’ve been to Fergie’s birthdays and wedding anniversaries as his guest.”
Emmerdale continues at 7pm on ITV tonight, and The National Television Awards air straight after at 7.30pm.
In the wake of news involving sexual assault allegations against Silicon Valley and Deadpool actor T.J. Miller, Comedy Central has announced it’s cancelled Miller’s puppet series The Gorburger Show. Comedy Central claims the decision to cancel the show came before the allegations against Miller broke. The actor has denied the allegations against him.
Today, The Daily Beast published a graphic, disturbing account from an anonymous woman alleging actor and comedian T.J. Miller sexually assaulted her in college. Per The Daily Beast, “The accusations were eventually addressed by a student court at George Washington University and have been buzzed about in Hollywood and stand-up circles for years.” In the wake of this story, Comedy Central announced that they would be cancelling Miller’s animated series The Gorburger Show after one season (via The Hollywood Reporter).
THR says a rep for Comedy Central claims that the decision to cancel Gorburger was made before the allegations. Still, the fact that they chose to announce the news today indicates Comedy Central wants to distance themselves from Miller. The Gorburger Show ran from April 9 to June 4, with Miller serving as executive producer as well as providing a voice for the puppet that hosted the show.
Miller has denied the allegations against him, issuing a statement with his wife Kate that says the anonymous woman “began again to circulate rumors online once [my and Kate’s] relationship became public. Sadly she is now using the current climate to bandwagon and launch these false accusations again. It is unfortunate that she is choosing this route as it undermines the important movement to make women feel safe coming forward about legitimate claims against real known predators.”
Actor-comedian Miller previously appeared on the HBO series Silicon Valley, until he left the show after it’s fourth season. Miller’s departure received plenty of press attention at the time, as it seemed strange that the actor would want to leave what was considered a successful series. Of his departure, Miller said:
“I feel absolutely embarrassed to admit that being on a television series that looks like it’s going to exist in perpetuity until Mike Judge and Alec Berg want to end it — I’m embarrassed to say that it’s easy to slip into autopilot if you’re playing a character for years. Whereas with [the Kristen Stewart movie] Underwater, which I’m filming right now in New Orleans, I have to get my shit together and be that fucking person and then it’s over at the end of May. The movie’s made, it’s done, I move on to the next thing.”
In addition to the film Underwater mentioned above, Miller has several high-profile films in the pipeline, including Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One and Deadpool 2.

It’s been three months since the rather shocking movie news broke that Phil Lord and Chris Miller had been fired from the Star Wars anthology film focused on Han Solo. Even though a large portion of the filming on Han Solo was complete, disagreements with Lucasfilm resulted in Lord and Miller being let go and eventually replaced with Ron Howard. While the directing duo may not have been able to reveal their full vision of a galaxy far, far away, they’re still headed back beyond the stars for their next feature, an adaptation of a new novel from the author of The Martian. See details on the next Lord and Miller movie below.
Andy Weir hit it big when his self-published novel The Martian became a best-seller and then a big blockbuster film from Ridley Scott. The strength of The Martian‘s success was enough for 20th Century Fox and New Regency to preemptively pick up the rights to Weir’s next novel, Artemis. Now THR reports that Phil Lord and Chris Miller have jumped aboard the sci-fi film, described as a “near-future thriller that follows directionless 20-something, Jazz, chafing at the constraints of her small town, Artemis, which so happens to be the first and only city on the moon. Jazz, a budding smuggler, unwittingly finds herself in the middle of a conspiracy for the control of her home town.”
Lord and Miller, who directed the successful 21 Jump Street films as well as The Lego Movie, made big Star Wars headlines both when they were first hired to helm the Han Solo solo film and then when they were fired, with the filmmakers releasing a statement that said their “vision and process weren’t aligned with our partners on this project. We normally aren’t fans of the phrase ‘creative differences’ but for once this cliché is true. We are really proud of the amazing and world-class work of our cast and crew.” There is, of course, a slight irony in the fact that the first film for the duo since their firing will be another intergalactic adventure.
As for what type of space adventure Artemis will be, some hints can be gleaned from a statement author Andy Weir released about the book:
“I’m really excited about Artemis. I got to do the science-dork stuff I love, but this time with a much more complex and character-driven plot. It’s a big stretch for me, but I think it came out well. Hopefully the readers will agree…The Martian was a straight-up human-versus-nature story where the goal was simple survival. Artemis is a much more complicated crime story with mysteries involved. It was much more difficult to write but also a lot more interesting I think.”
Artemis will hit book stores on November 17, 2017.

Comic book writer and artist Frank Miller believes he’s never had a “meaningful crack at Superman.” He’s now taking his shot with a new Superman project. The author of The Dark Knight Returns, Sin City, and Batman: Year One is revolving his Superman story around the Man of Steel’s younger years. “It’s telling his beginnings from when Pa Kent discovered him in the cornfield, and the little boy goes to youth, and then to manhood,” Miller said. According to artist John Romita Jr., who worked with Miller on “Daredevil: The Man Without Fear,” Superman: Year One isn’t exactly a retelling of that familiar tale.
Below, Romita Jr. discusses the Frank Miller Superman comic.
Miller revealed plans for his Superman story at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Miller isn’t drawing the comic himself. He’s collaborating with artist Romita Jr. on it. During a DC Comics Metal Panel which ComicBook.com covered, the artist explained the story isn’t retelling the one everyone and their grandma knows:
I’ve seen the reactions online about, ‘Oh, my God, here we go, another Superman origin,’ and it’s not really the origin retelling. It’s after the origin, it’s after he lands, what happens between the time he lands and the time he realizes what he is. And this slight slant on the development of Superman is that he’s really unconscious that he’s an alien ’til his parents tell him that he’s an alien. In the meantime, he just thinks he’s special. And he doesn’t appear in costume until the very end. It’s similar to the “Daredevil: Man Without Fear” back in the ’90s, and it’s the period of time up until he puts the costume on for the first time.
The artist added:
And Frank has this twisted imagination about what should happen, and we talked about it, and [Frank’s] eyes glow. He said he’s wanted to do this as long as he can remember, since, when did “Batman: Year One” come out? Was that 30 years ago? He said he always wanted to complete the cycle and do a “Superman: Year One.” Well, he finally got the chance to do it, and of course, it’s a hundred pages and there are a million people in it.
I would be a surprise if Miller didn’t have a “twisted imagination” for what should happen in a Superman comic. Romita Jr. confirmed the page count is 100 pages but added: “knowing Frank, it could be 200 pages.” How he’ll depict Clark Kent in those 100 pages raises questions. The superhero is a symbol of hope, but that’s not how he’s been depicted by Miller in the past, who has often cast him in a more cynical light.

We knew all about the clashing of approaches between producer Kathleen Kennedy and original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller regarding Lucasfilm’s Han Solo spin-off film, but ever since Ron Howard took over the director’s chair, we’ve been wondering a lot about the film’s tone. Now, thanks to a new interview with one of its stars, we’ve learned that Solo may end up being one of the funnier Star Wars movies we’ve seen so far.
And speaking of Lord and Miller, we take a look at the Directors Guild of America rule that explains the timing of why they were fired with only three weeks left in principal photography.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Woody Harrelson – who plays a criminal named Beckett who serves as a mentor to Alden Ehrenreich’s young Han Solo in the movie – was asked how the production was progressing with Howard at the helm:
“Fortunately, the Force is still very much with us. It’s great that Ron came along when he did.”
When asked about his young co-star, Harrelson praised Ehrenreich’s abilities and teased his thoughts about how the film could rank among the other Star Wars movies when all is said and done:
“He’s a great actor and a great guy, [with a] great sense of humor. I think a lot of humor comes through what he’s doing. I think it could be one of the funnier Star Wars movies.”
“One of the funnier Star Wars movies” isn’t exactly a tall bar to hurdle, so hopefully there ends up being more reason to watch this film than the possibility that it’ll be funnier than Attack of the Clones. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Harrelson has hyped this film. He previously said he felt like they were making the best Star Wars movie yet, a statement that’s especially ironic now that Lord and Miller have walked away from the production.
And about that whole Lord and Miller fiasco: many, myself included, were wondering about the timing of their firing. Why would Lucasfilm part ways with them with only three weeks of shooting left to go? ScreenRant points us to a DGA rule in Section 7-503 of the guild’s Creative Handbook, which states:
“A Director who is replaced after directing ninety percent (90%) but less than one hundred percent (100%) of the scheduled principal photography of any motion picture shall be the Director of the film entitled to all the post-production creative rights set forth in this Article 7, unless (a) the Director was primarily responsible for causing the motion picture to be “over budget” or (b) the substituting Director was required to direct more than ten percent (10%) of all principal photography for the picture.”
“The Employer may not schedule additional photography to avoid the express intent of this provision and has the burden of proving the necessity of such additional photography.”
“A Director who has directed one hundred percent (100%) of the scheduled principal photography of a motion picture may not be replaced except for gross willful misconduct.”
Lord and Miller had directed approximately 85% of the Han Solo movie before they were let go, which makes their firing seem like a strategic play on Lucasfilm’s part to ensure that they wouldn’t have any say over what went on in post-production. It might seem harsh, but it’s a shrewd move by Kennedy and company, who have no time to waste with people who don’t conform to their vision. After all, Disney has stockholders to answer to, and I imagine hitting that release date is the most valuable thing Kennedy can do for them.
The still-untitled Han Solo film hits theaters on May 25, 2018.

Exclusive: Ezra Miller’s Flash joins Batman and Wonder Woman in new photo from Justice League.
]]>Last month, we learned that actor/comedian T.J. Miller, who has been a staple of the first four seasons of the hilarious HBO comedy Silicon Valley, will not be returning for the show’s fifth season to reprise his role as Erlich Bachman. This past Sunday night, the season four finale revealed the character’s fate, but how will the show handle the character’s departure moving forward? Is there a chance we see Miller pop up again in a future season? We’ve sifted through a bunch of interviews given by the showrunners and Miller himself, and found the answers to what impact the Silicon Valley TJ Miller split will have on the show.
Warning: Spoilers ahead for the Silicon Valley season four finale.
After traveling to China to track down former Hooli CEO Gavin Belson (Matt Ross), Erlich and Gavin stop at a Tibetan opium den so Gavin can make a phone call. When he hangs up, Gavin realizes that Erlich has smoked opium in the other room; impatient to get back to his former company, Gavin pays off the owner to allow Erlich to stay there for the next five years and then heads back to the U.S. That’s the last we see of Erlich.
In a bizarre and must-read interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Miller explained some of the reasons for his departure from the series:
They came to me and said, “Look, we’re not going to pick up your contingency because we want to offer you doing five episodes out of the 10, or three episodes.” And then I said, “Oh perfect, I had been wanting to ask if you guys would be open to me leaving the show.”…
They said, “We just wanted you to have more time to do all of the things you’re doing.” And I said, “Well, the best way for me to be involved in the show is by no longer being on it.” I swear to God, that’s why the internet broke. Everybody was like, “What the f— are you talking about? You’re on this successful show. Don’t you want three more years of solid acting work and don’t you want to be a famous television actor?” And I was like, “No, not really.” I’d like to parasail into the Cannes Film Festival for The Emoji Movie because that’s the next new funny thing that will make people laugh.
The actor criticized the show’s storylines for being “cyclical” (which, to be fair, is a valid criticism), and wanted to be the one who broke the cycle:
And so I thought, what if suddenly the whole thing changed? Where’s the guy at the house? He’s gone. Richard [Thomas Middleditch] doesn’t have a foil. Jian Yang [Jimmy O. Yang] comes to prominence. All these other characters will change and grow. I read something today that I thought was really sweet, which was that Erlich as a character never really belonged. I mean, really, think about that…
If they had truly had enough of him, which is what they’re always saying, then why wouldn’t he just exit? What if they’re really suddenly like, he’s gone? Now what? Who does Richard have to complain about? Who is f—ing up their situation? Where is that confidence in the show? Where is that blowhard that everybody needs?…
So that all interested me, and most of all it made me laugh really hard. That was the impetus behind walking. That’s sort of the impetus behind everything I do: It just makes me laugh. It’s not about money, it’s not about any of that stuff. It’s certainly not about fame, which is destructing my relationships with my family. It’s about things that are interesting and funny…
But for me, television, unlike women and wine, does not get better with age. So I thought, “Wouldn’t it be interesting to leave at the height of the success of the show?” Knowing that Kumail [Nanjiani] is brilliant, Zach Woods is the greatest improviser alive, Thomas Middleditch is one of the funniest people of all, Martin Starr is the deadpan comedian of our generation, what if I just stepped aside and let them continue the show and see what it becomes?
One person who certainly isn’t worried about Miller leaving the show is Miller himself, who has been lashing out on Twitter at people who claim he’ll regret making the decision to bail:
I love this. I am currently in 3 movies and shooting #Deadpool2 as we speak- but it looks like I'm cursed. Oh @PageSix you're always right. https://t.co/Smcpwd6z12
— t.j. miller (@nottjmiller) June 26, 2017
Pretty sure you regret that profile picture you fucking piece of shit. https://t.co/ilgpm1vrfh
— t.j. miller (@nottjmiller) June 26, 2017
I love you all. All of you. Thank you for enjoying my work, for allowing me to be a public servent, jester and toddler bodied ding dong. https://t.co/J6MmV14P7p

Co-showrunners Alec Berg and Mike Judge purposefully didn’t kill off Miller’s character in case the actor decides that he’d like to appear on the show again. When TVLine asked Berg if Erlich could return one day, he seemed unsure, saying, “Never say never. There’s no plan for that right now.” Judge echoed that sentiment, telling THR, “That I don’t know for sure, but that’s probably the last [you’ll see him]. Down the road, if there’s a season six, I don’t know. You never know. But that’s the last for a while at least.”
Miller, for his part, was more definitive with his answer:
I would love to work with [HBO] forever. It’s just that I will never be on Silicon Valley again. That character, as you have seen, disappeared into the ether. And he did it at a time when no one was sick of him, when he had worn thin but not worn out.
When prodded if he could possibly change his mind about that decision, Miller doubled down on his statement:
No, I don’t know if you’ve seen my work, but I don’t particularly flounder and flip-flop on stuff. It’s all pretty mediocre but delivered with a very solid fist, just like Erlich.
When TVLine asked Berg about whether the show might replace Erlich with another character, like Haley Joel Osment’s VR guru Keenan Feldspar, the co-showrunner was non-commital:
It’s too early in the process. Erlich brought an energy into the mix that I think will be sorely missed. So whether we bring in a de facto replacement or whether it’s just having more characters that add a different energy [remains to be seen]. But in terms of concrete plans, nothing’s been decided yet.
Speaking with THR, Judge seemed to dismiss the notion of outright replacing Erlich:
We’ve talked a little bit about it. We start writing the next season on Monday. A lot of times in the writing, it’s almost a struggle because we have a lot of characters in the show and a lot of good ones. I’ll certainly miss having him in the show. I don’t think we’re going to say, “Hey, here’s a new character to replace him,” or anything like that. New characters come along. The tech world is so rich with weird characters. I think we still have more characters we can still pull out of the bag. But I also think we can do a lot more with Suzanne Cryer’s character and certainly Zach and Jian Yang. I’m actually looking forward. I think we can shake things up in a way…
We’d certainly like to have [Osment] back. We haven’t figured out how yet because we haven’t started writing, but we all really liked working with him. I wouldn’t look at that as someone who replaces Erlich because there’s a very different energy to him, but I really like that character and VR is a huge thing in the tech world so it makes sense with that, too.
Miller himself has some ideas about how the show could progress, telling EW:
Some people… are saying, ‘What exactly is this show if Erlich isn’t on it?’ I think maybe a more focused show that is using some of the barely tapped talents. You’ve got Josh Brener [who plays Big Head], a brilliant comedian. You’ve got Chris Diamantopolous [who plays Russ Hanneman], a brilliant talent. Most of all, you have Amanda Crew, this brilliant, flexible [actress], she’s bizarre in her humor, and we haven’t gotten to see a bunch of that. I love the idea of seeing more of that.
As for an end-game for the series overall, Judge says he’s looking at a six-season trajectory right now, with an outside chance that the show could last longer if someone comes up with a good enough idea that could extend its life a little longer. But those who are worried Silicon Valley may just sputter out at the end should put those fears to rest, because Judge reveals that he and his team are working toward something very specific:
Yeah, we have a series finale, a place ahead that we’ve talked about for a while now just amongst ourselves. That’s how we’re thinking of it.
Silicon Valley season 5 will debut sometime in 2018 on HBO. In the meantime, be sure to catch up with all of our season 4 reviews here.

Amid all the hubbub about Phil Lord and Chris Miller leaving the Han Solo movie, I’d completely forgotten that they were involved with an animated Spider-Man film across town at Sony Pictures Animation. That project just scored a couple of solid additions to its voice cast, as Oscar winner Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) and actor Brian Tyree Henry (who plays rapper Paper Boi on Donald Glover’s FX series Atlanta) have officially come on board. Read more about the animated Spider-Man cast below.
The new film features the fan-favorite character Miles Morales wearing the Spidey suit instead of Peter Parker, and Dope star Shameik Moore is voicing Morales. According to The Tracking Board, Henry will provide the voice of Miles’ father, Jefferson Davis. In the comics, Jefferson was a former criminal who was forced to work undercover in the New York crime scene for Nick Fury’s S.H.I.E.L.D., but since this is a Sony project and almost certainly won’t take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I doubt we’ll hear Samuel L. Jackson’s recognizable voice as Nick Fury at any point in this movie.
Meanwhile, Ali (who recently dabbled with the superhero genre in Luke Cage) will lend his voice to the character of Aaron Davis, Miles’ uncle. While Miles’ father reformed and gave up his life of crime, his uncle Aaron still operates on the wrong side of the law, much to the family’s displeasure. In one strain of the comics, Aaron also takes on the mantle of The Prowler, but it’s unclear if that’ll happen in this film.
Barring any sort of secret plot twist, it doesn’t sound like Ali’s Aaron Davis will be a major villain in the movie, because Ray Donovan star Liev Schreiber has already signed on to play the villain. Sony is keeping the details under lock and key, so we aren’t sure which character Schreiber is playing just yet.
Phil Lord wrote the still-untitled movie’s screenplay by himself, and will produce alongside his creative partner Chris Miller, who has described this movie as something fans have never seen before and will be something that will “stand on its own as a unique filmgoing experience.” Bob Persichetti (The Little Prince) and Peter Ramsey (Rise of the Guardians) are co-directing the film, which I’m very excited about; both of those guys have made movies that I consider to be underrated, and Ramsey especially has a great sense of where to put the (virtual) camera. It should be cool to see them tackle such a high-profile project.
Sony’s animated Spider-Man movie swings into theaters on December 21, 2018.
