Princess Charlotte, the second child of Kate Middleton and Prince William, is set to make the perfect hostess as she follows in the steps of her mother, an insider has said.

A royal source has divulged that the three-year-old loves to make guests to Kensington Palace feel welcome.

While many small children may hide behind their mother and avoid talking when first meeting new people, Charlotte is showing impressive confidence.

It’s been revealed that when visitors come to their home she’ll make a point of greeting them and making sure they’re looked after.

An insider told US Weekly said: “She’ll come up to guests and ask them if they want tea or coffee or offer them sweets — so adorable!”

It’s no surprise that the little princess isn’t afraid of others as she’s proved her love of being in the public eye on several occasions.

When she and her big brother Prince George, five, came to see their younger brother Prince Louis, four months, just after he was born at the Lindo Wing, she did not shy away from attention.

Charlotte waved to the gathered crowds as soon as she stepped out of the car and even turned back for another wave as they headed inside.

The royal source also told US Weekly that the little girl is “very bubbly,” and said: “she’s definitely the biggest character of the three children at the moment.”

Charlotte showed her cheeky side when, at the christening of Louis, she told the media at the Royal Chapel at St James’s Palace, “You’re not coming,” as they processed off to the christening party.

Queen Elizabeth II, 92, has also shared an interesting insight into her great-granddaughter.

The monarch recently asked a 10-year-old schoolgirl if she “looked after” her six-year-old sister.

When the girl’s mother mum replied: “It’s the other way around,” the Queen said, “It’s like that with Charlotte and George.”

Charlotte’s main hobby is horse riding – having started lessons aged two – but she also shares another beloved pastime with her brother George.

The royal siblings both love reading and were photographed holding a book at Trooping The Colour 2018 at Buckingham Palace.

Prince William recently revealed his children’s favourite book is, in fact, The Gruffalo, written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

The classic British children’s book depicts a story of a mouse who takes a walk in a European forest and during his journey, comes across dangerous animals who want to eat it. The cunning mouse then uses clever tricks to evade danger.

The book, released in 1999, has sold over 13 million copies world wide and has even been made into an Oscar-nominated animated film.

William met with Ms Donaldson and Mr Scheffler at Tusk Trust event held at his home in Kensington Palace and revealed how their book was George’s and Charlotte’s favourite read.

He told them: “I know who you are. It’s a big hit in our household, The Gruffalo.”

Kate Middleton’s ‘naughty’ side revealed by Prince William – including his 'dirty' side https://briefnews.eu/kate-middletons-naughty-side-revealed-by-prince-william-including-his-dirty-side/ https://briefnews.eu/kate-middletons-naughty-side-revealed-by-prince-william-including-his-dirty-side/#respond Fri, 07 Sep 2018 06:24:41 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/kate-middletons-naughty-side-revealed-by-prince-william-including-his-dirty-side/

Kate Middleton, 36, is known for being an impeccable role model and perfect advocate for the Royal Family, always prim and proper.

She rarely shows off a more playful side, but it appears she does have one, with Prince William referring to the Duchess as “naughty”

In their engagement video filmed back in 2010, the Prince revealed the side of him and Kate that the public doesn’t see.

In the unearthed footage William spilled why the pair works so well, because he has a “dirty” sense of humour, and Kate has a “naughty” sense of humour.

In the ITV interview, William detailed how things got started with his now-wife, putting it largely down to what they found funny.

He said: “She’s got a really naughty sense of humour which really helps me because I’ve got a really dirty sense of humour so it was good fun, we had a really good laugh, and then things happened.”

Giving each other a little look, Kate then gave a little giggle, sheepish that William had revealed her “naughty” side.

In the official engagement interview, Kate and William touched more on how they met and what drew them towards each other.

Again showing off a different more personable side to the Duchess, Kate revealed that she was less than poised when she met William for the first time.

Laughing to the interviewer, Kate admitted that she went “bright red” and “scuttled off”.

According to a royal biographer, this was because Kate did something rather embarrassing.

Talking in his book, “William and Kate: A Royal Love Story”, Christopher Anderson gave details on how the couple met.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met at St Andrews University where they both studied, reportedly during a party in university halls.

It is said by the biographer that Kate actually curtsied when she met her future husband.

William allegedly then awkwardly spilled a drink all over himself, causing Kate to end their encounter by “scuttling off”.

Addressing the uncomfortable encounter in the interview, Kate said she then “scuttling off”.

Kate addressed the story in her and William’s 2010 engagement interview, revealing: “I actually went bright red when I met you and scuttled off feeling very shy about meeting you.”

She continued: “William wasn’t there for quite a bit of the time initially, he wasn’t there from Fresher’s Week, so it did take a bit of time for us to get to know each other, but we did become very close friends from quite early on.”

Their not-so-perfect meeting shows just how relatable the couple really are, with another relatable thing being their cute nicknames for each other.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been overheard calling her husband “babe”, a pretty normal and down-to-earth pet name.

How did Kate Middleton become a royal?

Early life

Kate Middleton, or Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was born on 9 January 1982 at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, England.

She was born to Michael and Carole Middleton, a former flight dispatcher and air hostess. The couple founded a party supplies company, Party Pieces, in 1987 – now estimated to be worth £30 million.

Kate has a younger sister Pippa Matthews, 34, and a younger brother James Middleton, 31.

Education

Kate and her family moved to Amman, Jordan, in 1984, where the future Duchess was educated at an English-speaking nursery school.

After moving back to Berkshire the family sent Kate to private school, St Andrews School. She went on to briefly study at Downe House before moving onto Marlborough College where she boarded.

For university the young Kate attended the University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland. Here she was awarded an undergraduate MA (2:1 Hons) in history of art.

Relationship with Prince William

Kate met Prince William when they were both studying at St Andrews, and both living in St Salvator’s Hall. Famously, William reportedly took a fancy to Kate after she wore a see-through dress during a fashion show.

In 2003 the couple began dating and lived together during their second year of university.

The couple split in April 2007, however, in October they were back together.

Wedding

Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton with his late mother Princess Diana’s engagement ring in October 2010. The couple were holidaying in Kenya at the time.

On 29 April 2011 they married at Westminster Abbey with a whopping 26 million watching the event live.

Kate wore an Alexander McQueen dress worth a reported £250,000 on the big day.

Kate assumed the title “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge” and also become the Duchess of Cambridge on the day.

Kate Middleton has a Mumsnet account, according to recent news.

The wife of Prince William, also 36, has three children.

The Duke and Duchess are parents to Prince George, four, Princess Charlotte, two and Prince Louis, who is ten weeks old.

It is hardly surprising that the couple will be turning to some outside help in raising their children.

Now a source has revealed that Kate has an account on the popular parenting site Mumsnet.

“Kate has turned to websites like Mumsnet and BabyCentre for guidance,” they told Heart.

“She has adopted an anonymous name, and mainly posts questions about issues she and Prince William disagree on, like watching cartoons before bed.

“Using these websites has really helped Kate, although she’d never admit to using the web for advice – the Royal Family tend to ‘just get on with it’ when it comes to raising children.

“But, since mums on the internet generally agree with her point of view and not Will’s, she will go right on posting!”

Mumsnet provides forums to parents to chat about various issues.

They can range from whether to let your children use iPads to the correct etiquette to buying birthday present for other people’s children.

Royals have been rumoured in the past to have private social media accounts with secret names.

Prince Harry, 33, was said to have an Instagram account and Facebook for personal use.

Princess Eugenie has her own public Instagram account.

Kate Middleton’s third child Prince Louis will have his christening on Monday.

What will Kate wear for the occasion?

Kate wore exactly the same designers for the last two christenings of Prince George, four, and Princess Kate, two.

For Prince George’s christening, she wore a creamy white Alexander McQueen dress with ruffle detail.

Alexander McQueen is a favourite of the Duchess, and she wore a gown by this designer for her royal wedding in 2011.

Since her wedding, she has worn the designer on a number of occasions, including the royal wedding of Meghan Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 33.

Royal baby: Kate Middleton’s due date looms as it's revealed child will have no last name https://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-kate-middletons-due-date-looms-as-its-revealed-child-will-have-no-last-name/ https://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-kate-middletons-due-date-looms-as-its-revealed-child-will-have-no-last-name/#respond Sat, 07 Apr 2018 12:32:13 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-kate-middletons-due-date-looms-as-its-revealed-child-will-have-no-last-name/

The royal baby will not have a last name, according to experts. Kate Middleton’s due date is said to be imminent.

However, this baby will be born without a last name. While it is a requirement for normal parents to give their child a surname, this is not the case with royal births.

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s third child will have a blank space on their birth certificate where a normal child’s last name would be.

Royal expert Marlene Eilers Koenig told Town & Country: “The royal baby will not have a last name.

“The name on the birth certificate will say HRH Prince or Princess, and all three names of Cambridge.”

What this means is that the baby’s first three names will be put on the document, but not its last name.

Similarly, Prince George’s birth certificate will read: “HRH Prince George Alexander Louis.”

And that is it. While it seems strange not to have a last name, this is a royal tradition for the British.

Ms Koenig added: “The House name is Windsor and the family name for those who do use a surname is Mountbatten-Windsor.”

Queen Elizabeth II added ‘Mountbatten’, Prince Philip’s last name, to the Windsor name as a nod to him when they married.

However, Prince George chose to not use this name when he joined school, perhaps his parent’s thought it would be too complicated for a young boy to write.

George goes by Cambridge at school, being referred to as George Cambridge.

It is not unusual for royal children to use their parent’s peerage as their last name.

In the past Prince William and Harry have used the last name “Wales” as Prince Charles is the Prince of Wales.

When is Kate Middleton due?

According to reports the child could be born any day now, and the Lindo Wing is preparing for the birth.

The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to give birth on the date of 23 April, revealed royal correspondent Emily Andrews on Lorraine.

“Kate is due on St George’s Day which is the 23rd of April,” revealed the insider to excited viewers on the programme.

How will Kate Middleton get to hospital when she gives birth? Royals use this surprising secret method to get mothers to the maternity ward.

Most women generally hope to give birth in privacy, and the Duchess of Cambridge is no different.

However, it is not easy to keep intimate details secret when the whole world watches your every movement.

Royal baby: Kate Middleton’s due date revealed by royal expert – it will be on THIS day https://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-kate-middletons-due-date-revealed-by-royal-expert-it-will-be-on-this-day/ https://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-kate-middletons-due-date-revealed-by-royal-expert-it-will-be-on-this-day/#respond Fri, 06 Apr 2018 07:41:18 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-kate-middletons-due-date-revealed-by-royal-expert-it-will-be-on-this-day/

The royal baby due date, when Kate Middleton, 36, will give birth to her third child with Prince William, 35, has finally been revealed.

The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to give birth on the date of 23 April, revealed royal correspondent Emily Andrews on Lorraine.

“Kate is due on St George’s Day which is the 23rd of April,” revealed the insider to excited viewers on the programme.

Prior to this, the only information given by Kensington Palace was that Kate would give birth in the month of April.

Kensington Palace wrote in a tweet last October: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2018.”

How will Kate Middleton get to hospital when she gives birth? Royals use this surprising secret method to get mothers to the maternity ward.

However, Emily warned that there is no guarantee the baby will actually be born on this date.

This speculation is based on the Duchess’ previous two pregnancies, with Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2, who were both born late.

“She was late with George and Charlotte but I would imagine the baby will be arriving in the last week of April,” said Emily.

She also added that the anticipation of the third child’s birth – which she referred to as “Royal baby watch number three”, was different to that of Kate’s first child, George.

“It’s not quite the furore or the intensity of when she was pregannt with George,” said Emily.

She added that the planned date “doesn’t give Kate long” before the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

When is Kate Middleton’s due date?

According to Emily, Kate Middleton’s due date is on April 23 2018. However, while due dates are helpful, they do not necessarily determine when a woman will give birth.

All pregnant women in the United Kingdom are, like Kate, given a due date by their medical practitioner.

“The date is first calculated by using the date of [a woman’s] last period and adding 280 days, or 40 weeks,” according to the BBC.

Yesterday, it was revealed royal baby name odds among bookies have shifted in favour of a certain boys’ name, which is currently the most favoured male baby name.

That name is Philip – the same name as the future baby’s great grandfather, Prince Philip, 96, who is currently recovering after a hip operation yesterday.

The odds among Ladbrokes betters have been slashed from 25/1 for the name Philip to the current odds of 16/1.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said the name choice would have a “lovely” significance.

“With Her Majesty being honoured with one of Charlotte’s middle names, it would be a lovely touch if Philip was to be Kate and Wills’ choice for their second son.”

Royal baby: Odds favour THIS name after Kate Middleton’s bump pictures suggest it's a BOY https://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-odds-favour-this-name-after-kate-middletons-bump-pictures-suggest-its-a-boy/ https://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-odds-favour-this-name-after-kate-middletons-bump-pictures-suggest-its-a-boy/#respond Wed, 04 Apr 2018 13:54:37 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-odds-favour-this-name-after-kate-middletons-bump-pictures-suggest-its-a-boy/

The royal baby of Kate Middleton, 36, and Prince William, 35, is expected to be born in late April, but what will the name be?

It is said betting odds have shifted in favour of a certain boys’ name, which is currently the most favoured male baby name.

That name is Philip – the same name as the future baby’s great grandfather, Prince Philip.

The odds have been slashed from 25/1 for the name Philip to the current odds of 16/1.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said the name choice would have a “lovely” significance.

“With Her Majesty being honoured with one of Charlotte’s middle names, it would be a lovely touch if Philip was to be Kate and Wills’ choice for their second son.”

Jessica is referring to Kate Middleton’s daughter Princess Charlotte’s middle name, which is Elizabeth, after Queen Elizabeth.

She also has the middle name Diana, after Prince William’s late mother.

While the baby’s gender has not been announced, it has recently been suggested Kate might be having a boy, based on the shape of her bump.

“Boy” bumps stick out in front of a woman like a netball, according to MailOnline. This is apparently because boys are on average larger when born, meaning the bump is more pronounced.

However, the most popular royal baby names are still girls’ names, with Alice and Mary in joint top place with odds of 5/1.

Victoria is another popular contender, with betting odds of 8/1.

When is the royal baby due? According to bookies the child could arrive on Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding anniversary.

However, the Queen’s birthday is also a contender, according to Ladbrokes.

The Queen’s birthday is actually on the 21 of April, and so if the baby’s birthday clashes the palace might see a joint cross-generational celebration.

The Queen celebrates her real birthday quietly at home. Her Official Birthday is celebrated on the second Saturday in June.

This is so that Britons can enjoy good weather on the day, and is an old tradition going back hundreds of years.

The baby could arrive on Her Majesty’s birthday according to the latest odds from Ladbrokes.

As The Duchess of Cambridge enters the final few weeks of her third pregnancy, the bookies have opened up betting on when the latest addition will enter the world, and 21 April – The Queen’s birthday – is the early favourite at 10/1.

Royal baby: When is Kate Middleton’s due date? Expert gives THESE shocking odds for labour https://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-when-is-kate-middletons-due-date-expert-gives-these-shocking-odds-for-labour/ https://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-when-is-kate-middletons-due-date-expert-gives-these-shocking-odds-for-labour/#respond Fri, 30 Mar 2018 13:32:57 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/royal-baby-when-is-kate-middletons-due-date-expert-gives-these-shocking-odds-for-labour/

The royal baby of Kate Middleton, 36, and Prince William, 35, is huge news right now, with an expected due date in late April 2018.

But what are the odds the Duchess of Cambridge, who began her maternity leave last week, will actually go into labour on her due date?

There is actually a surprisingly small chance she will have her baby on the expected day, according to an expert.

“It’s worth remembering that only 5 per cent of babies are actually born on this estimated date of birth,” hospital midwife Sally Goodwin told Emma’s Diary.

“The last few weeks of your pregnancy are both exciting and tiring,” she continued. “It is also perfectly normal for women to focus on their due date at this stage of pregnancy too.

“It’s understandable to feel disappointed if baby has not arrived by this date,” she added.

Relaxing as often as possible will help Kate, as things will soon become much busier when her baby arrives.”

When is Kate Middleton’s due date?

Like all pregnant women in the UK, Kate will have been given a due date by her medical advisor.

However, she has not publicly announced her official due date yet – and is unlikely to at this late stage of pregnancy.

There has been much speculation over the royal baby’s name, but there is another aspect of how the child will be addressed.

What will the royal baby’s official title be? An expert has now revealed what the child will be called.

Marlene Koenig has also revealed that the child will in fact, technically, be a commoner.

Unlike its parents, the child will actually not officially enjoy royal status. Koenig said: “It sounds complicated, but in the UK, the only people who are not commoners are the Sovereign and peers of the realm, [people with titles like] Duke, Marquess, Earl, Viscount, and Baron.”

This means the children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are technically not royals, but this is in name alone and of course they will be treated as such all the same.

Kate Middleton is approaching her due date rapidly. The 36-year-old mother-of-two to Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, is now officially on royal maternity leave.

There has been much speculation over the royal baby’s name, but there is another aspect of how the child will be addressed.

What will the royal baby’s official title be? An expert has now revealed what the child will be called.

Marlene Koenig has also revealed that the child will in fact, technically, be a commoner.

The expert in European and British royalty and writer of the Royal Musings blog told Town & Country all.

If the baby is named Alice, a popular choice for a little girl, her title will be ‘Her Royal Highness Princess Alice of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland’.

A little boy may be called ‘His Royal Highness Prince James of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,’ for example.

However, the titles of the royal baby’s parents could also affect what it is called.

Marlene Koenig said: “Royal children are ‘styled’ differently if they are the children of a royal duke.”

This means this baby will be known as ‘Her Royal Highness Princess Alice of of Cambridge’, which is certainly less of a mouthful.

However, unlike its parents, the child will actually not officially enjoy royal status.

Koenig added: “It sounds complicated, but in the UK, the only people who are not commoners are the Sovereign and peers of the realm, [people with titles like] Duke, Marquess, Earl, Viscount, and Baron.”

This means the children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are technically not royals, but this is in name alone and of course they will be treated as such all the same.

A sighting in London recently has been viewed as proof by some that Kate Middleton will give birth soon.

Goings on outside The Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital – where Kate has had her previous two children – prompted some to suspect the baby could be imminent.

Kate Middleton’s maternity leave has begun, and her her final engagement was a Commonwealth event for SportAid charity held at the CopperBox area in the Olympic Park, London.

A Kensington Palace spokeswoman said: “”Today’s public engagements by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be Her Royal Highness’s last before starting her maternity leave.”

Express revealed how Kate Middleton will spend her third maternity leave.

The Duchess has taken another job despite being just weeks away from her baby’s due date.

The official royal social media page said: “The Duchess of Cambridge is to become the first Royal Patron of the Victoria and Albert Museum.”

Meghan Markle’s dress will cost LESS than Kate Middleton’s for this reason, expert claims https://briefnews.eu/meghan-markles-dress-will-cost-less-than-kate-middletons-for-this-reason-expert-claims/ https://briefnews.eu/meghan-markles-dress-will-cost-less-than-kate-middletons-for-this-reason-expert-claims/#respond Sat, 24 Mar 2018 04:21:41 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/meghan-markles-dress-will-cost-less-than-kate-middletons-for-this-reason-expert-claims/

Meghan Markle is set to marry Prince Harry on May 19, and many have been wondering about the dress that the LA-born actress will wear.

Reports about designers and the cost of the gown have rife. It was recently reported that Meghan has chosen and Ralph & Russo gown, and the company’s custom creations cost up to £320,000.

This would make it far more than Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen gown, which was originally reported to have cost £250,000.

However, a royal expert has revealed new insights into the cost of the Duchess of Cambridge’s dress, and claims Meghan’s will cost even less.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight: “There have been reports that [Meghan’s] considering spending hundreds of thousands of pounds on a wedding dress. I think that’s incredibly unlikely.

“Kate Middleton’s dress cost 150,000 pounds. It was her parents, Carol and Michael Middleton, who paid for that bill.

“I think it was very unlikely that Meghan would spend more than that and in doing so try and upstage a future queen.”

According to Nicholl, Meghan would want to avoid criticism from the population whose royal family she is marrying into.

She added: “I don’t think she’s going to want to get royal life off to a start where she’s criticised for spending something like 400,000 pounds [about $ 565,860] on a wedding dress.”

However, Meghan may be opting copy Kate in one respect, if not in terms of the price tag.

The expert added: “I’m told that she wants something with lace, that she wants something with sleeves.”

Kate Middleton’s wedding dress was a stunning Alexander McQueen creation, designed by Sarah Burton.

The clever dress had one secret secret feature to make the most of her slender figure.

The dress was made from both white and ivory satin, and Britons speculated about the dress the Duchess would wear for months before the royal wedding. There was one extra clever hidden detail of the wedding dress designed to boost the slender brides’ curves.

Kate Middleton had a second wedding dress for the reception on her big day.

The second gown was also created by Alexander McQueen, and had a sleeveless corset with a bejewelled belt.
