Washington has accelerated the Treasury issuance to avoid potential growth in the federal deficit due to the massive tax cut pushed by President Donald Trump, as well the federal spending deal approved by the government in February.

Chinese purchases of US state debt have been decreasing over recent months. The latest drop comes on top of the escalating trade conflict between Beijing and Washington over trade imbalance, market access and alleged stealing of US technology secrets by Chinese corporations. So far, the US has imposed tariffs on $ 200 billion of Chinese goods and Beijing retaliated with tariffs on $ 60 billion of US goods and stopped buying American crude.

The parties are reportedly set to resume trade talks at the G-20 meeting of the world’s developed economies that will begin in Argentina on November 30. So far, Beijing has presented a list of possible concessions. On Friday, the US president said he would leave out “four or five” of the big items the US wants.

“China wants to make a deal. They sent a list of things they are willing to do, which is a large list and it is just not acceptable to me yet. But at some point I think that we are doing extremely well with respect to China,” Trump told reporters.

British actress and political activist Natascha is well-known for her popularity in US film and television, and now the star is returning home for a foray into space drama The First, which premieres on Channel 4 Thursday, November 1.

Appearing on ITV programme This Morning, the actress shared details on the exciting new project, which also stars Hollywood high-flyer Sean Penn.

But Natascha was keen to share the other important aspect of her career right now, which is helping the People’s Vote campaign continue to grow.

Speaking to guest presenters Rylan Clark-Neal and Amanda Holden about the London march which she attended, Natascha shared: “We felt quite victorious, it was great and it started the debate.”

“It was electrifying,” she said in reference to the sheer numbers that showed up for the demonstration. “700,000 and I think they [only] predicted 100,000.”

“I started the debate and people feel very passionately either way even if they voted leave,” Natascha continued. “People who have now changed their minds – we’ve now started to recruit people who feel that maybe they were lied to.”

The star went on to say she’s getting “excited” about the figures, and she’s even gotten her son involved in the campaign.

Taking to Twitter, fans shared their anger over the segment, and in particular the idea of “recruiting” British people who voted to leave the European Union.

One person blasted: “Interesting to hear her use the word ‘recruit’ when talking about getting people on the Brexit march.

“What do these thick people not understand? It’s not about being lied to, it’s about controlling immigration and making our own laws. Simple #ThisMorning.”

“It was going ok til she came out as a remoaner, boring! #thismorning,” another shared.

A third fumed: “#thismorning Stop letting stupid people keep going on about staying in the f*****g EU people’s vote what a load of s**t. The people had their vote, accept it you morons and wind your necks in.

“The only way the ‘people’s vote’ march would have had an impact,” a fourth began, “is if it was in Yorkshire, or Newcastle or somewhere.

“It just looked like a lot of posh Londoners kicking off. Eventually they’ll have to leave London. #ThisMorning #itvThisMorning.”

Not everyone felt the same, as one person responded: “Calm your tits, pal. People are entitled to an opinion, even if you don’t like it. #ThisMorning.”

“Can’t wait to see #TheFirst it looks bloody brilliant #ThisMorning,” another excited fan praised.

While a third joked: “Natascha McElhone looks exactly the same as she did in The Truman Show.

“HOW??!! It was over 20 years ago! #ThisMorning.”

But Aneesh Chaganty is not new to telling stories through screens—the Searching director and co-writer spent two years making ads at Google. He famously landed the role after making a viral short called “Seeds” that leveraged Google Glass, another creative constraint. “I quit my job at Google in NYC and moved to LA to make an indie movie,” he tells Ars about Searching. “But I was a filmmaker at Google; I was writing, developing, and directing commercials there.   • The app suggested several videos from prominent conspiracy theorist David Icke in which he claimed that the world is ruled by reptile-human hybrids.
  • Searches for “moon landing” returned results including three videos which claim the moon landing was a hoax.
  • YouTube removed at least 25 videos from its Kids app after we contacted the company and blocked Icke’s channel on the app.

YouTube’s app specifically for children is meant to filter out adult content and provide a “world of learning and fun,” but Business Insider found that YouTube Kids featured many conspiracy theory videos which make claims that the world is flat, that the moon landing was faked, and that the planet is ruled by reptile-human hybrids.

YouTube Kids is a separate app from the main YouTube app, and it’s meant to allow parents to let their children browse YouTube without being worried about any unsuitable content appearing. Children are encouraged to learn languages, read books, and watch educational videos.

The question of what happened before the Big Bang has puzzled physicists for decades, but one of the biggest names in the discipline, Stephen Hawking, has offered a mind-bendingly simple explanation.

“Nothing was around before the Big, Big Bang,” Hawking plainly states in conversation with Neil deGrasse Tyson on National Geographic’s Star Talk program. The renowned physicist cites Einstein’s general theory of relativity, which decrees that space and time together form a space-time continuum which is not flat but instead is curved by the matter and energy in it.

Proposing as an alternative the ‘Euclidean approach’, an area of geometry dealing with planes and dimensions, Hawking’s model says the history of the universe is a four-dimensional curved surface like the surface of the Earth – but with two additional dimensions.

“One can regard imaginary and real time as beginning at the South Pole which is a smooth point of space time where the normal laws of physics hold. There was nothing south of the South Pole so there was nothing around before the big bang,” Hawking explained.

The Pirate Bay has been hard to reach for the past few days, with users of the torrent download site reporting issues accessing it.

Pirate Bay fans have reported the world’s most popular torrent portal as down or slow to load up.

TorrentFreak revealed that are lot of people are still seeing a Cloudflare error message when they try to access The Pirate Bay.

While other torrent fans are experiencing issues trying to access The Pirate Bay through proxy services.

In some regions The Pirate Bay appears to be working as normal, but torrent uploads appear broken and the search function just comes up with blanks.

It’s not the first time this month that Pirate Bay users have experienced issues accessing the torrent portal.

Earlier this month many Pirate Bay users were greeted with the CloudFlare error 520 message when then tried to access it.

The message said the “web server is returning an unknown error”.

The outage came as 1337x.to was also suffering downtime and after major torrent rival Kickass Torrents was taken offline earlier this year.

In the past few days Pirate Bay fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to report issues with the service.

One user tweeted: “The Pirate Bay has been down for too long for my comfort.”

While another posted: “Pirate Bay is down and it’s stressing me. I literally have a heartburn.”

And one added: “Have they shut down The Pirate Bay?”

Pirate Bay users on subreddits devoted the torrent download portal have also said the site is not working for them at the moment.

One user wrote: “I’ve been having the same problem bro seems like its been down for days. I hope its up and running soon.”

While another, speaking about the ‘error 502 bad gateway’ message, posted: “This is happening rather frequently. The main page won’t load even in incognito mode, and won’t re-load properly until a few hours have passed.”

The Pirate Bay issues comes after the operators of 1337x earlier this month said the torrent site was under attack.

The Pirate Bay outage comes during a year in which a number of popular torrent websites such as Kickass Torrents, ExtraTorrent and Torrentz.eu have all shut down.

These sites have closed up shop after the penalties for online piracy have become more severe and ahead of Google launching its Chrome ad blocker.

The upcoming ad blocker is expected to have a big effect on torrent sites and the revenue they bring in.

Adverts that will be affected are those which don’t fall within the “better ads standards” including pop-up ads.

The owner of one torrent site, who did not want to be named, said the Google Chrome ad blocker “will kill torrent sites”.

While the penalties for online piracy have also become more severe this year thanks to the Digital Economy Act becoming law.

The new law raised the maximum possible sentence for online copyright infringement offences from two to 10 years.

The maximum sentence will only apply to people who commit serious copyright crimes, such as distributing content.

Since 2013, the Xbox One has had some painful load times. While loading between different sections in games is usually fine, the initial boot-up of some larger triple-A blockbusters can take a minute or two (or longer in some cases). With the $ 500 upgraded Xbox One X, you might expect to see an improvement in this area. And Microsoft’s new console delivers. Load times are still around a minute or more, but in some of the worst offenders, the X is a huge upgrade over the original Xbox One.

YouTube user Hogarth has uploaded a loading-time comparison between the Xbox One X and S. The test has each system with its internal hard drive (HDD) and an external solid-state drive (eSSD). In the video below, you can see that while the SSD is an improvement in the S, it makes less of a difference in the X. The load times are also relatively close to the PlayStation 4 Pro. For example, GTA V loads in about 50 seconds on both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, but this varies game-by-game.

Based on these times, you can see that the X is approximately twice as fast as S. Again, an SSD can help, but it doesn’t do a lot for loading when it comes to The Witcher 3 or GTA V. This suggests the system has bottlenecks somewhere else along the memory pipeline.
