Former CIA and NSA agent Joshua Adam Schulte has been charged with stealing data from the CIA and handing it over to an unnamed organization specializing in public disclosures of such sensitive info. The indictment, filed by the US Attorney’s Office on Monday, says that Schulte had been charged with 13 counts of illegal gathering and with leaking “classified national defense information” from the agency. Although the outside organization is not identified in the indictment, Schulte is believed to have supplied WikiLeaks with the cache of top-secret CIA intelligence that the whistle-blowing site released in March of last year. Schulte was arrested in August and has been held in custody ever since, on charges relating to possession of child pornography.

Michael Avenatti, the attorney for porn star Stormy Daniels, is zeroing in on what he’s calling the “Trump Tapes” after appearing in court Wednesday in the Southern District of New York.
Last week, Avenatti alleged that Michael Cohen, a longtime lawyer for President Donald Trump, or his lawyers were selectively leaking audio tapes seized in FBI raids to media outlets. Avenatti also seemed to suggest that there were audio recordings of conversations between Trump and Cohen in the documents obtained by the FBI during the raids on Cohen’s home, office, and hotel room, but that Cohen had not leaked those.See the rest of the story at Business Insider

More than a few people have burner Twitter accounts to track news, comment anonymously or even make in-jokes between friends. For Philadelphia 76ers basketball operations president Bryan Colangelo, however, those disposable accounts may land him in serious trouble. The Ringer claimed that Colangelo has been quietly running five Twitter accounts, four of which were used to not only criticize players and staff (including his own coaching team), but to leak private information about the acquisition of Markelle Fultz and Jahlil Okafor’s medicals.
Colangelo has acknowledged having one of the accounts, which was inactive and reportedly used strictly for following players, agents, staff and the media to keep abreast of the news. He denied running the other four, calling the accusations “disturbing to [him] on many levels.”
The evidence, however, tells a different story. A Ringer source noted that the patterns of follows, likes and tweets on each account were “extraordinarily similar.” The site observed that the accounts followed people and institutions related to Colangelo and his family, and that three of the accounts conveniently went private within hours of calling the 76ers, which said they would ask Colangelo about the Twitter behavior. Others have observed that three out of the five accounts share the same last two phone number digits used for password resets, and that one of them was linked to Colangelo’s personal email address.
The 76ers have since announced that they’re investigating the allegations. If all the findings hold up, however, Colangelo is in serious trouble. Sports Illustrated‘s legal analyst believed that Colangelo might have been violating the collective bargaining agreements by publicly disclosing health info that was unrelated to their NBA careers. The allegations would have to go through the NBA’s grievance resolution process, but could later lead to lawsuits over defamation and invasions of privacy.
Whatever the outcome, the report highlights just how complicated social media efforts can get in the modern era — it’s hard to be completely certain that a major persona is relying solely on their publicly known accounts. And if the revelations are true, they highlight how much effort is needed to cover your tracks. Colangelo might not have realized how relatively easy it would be for someone to establish connections between the accounts once word of them got out.

Apple recently sent a lengthy memo warning employees about leaking. As you might have guessed, that memo got leaked.
On Friday, Bloomberg News published what it described as an “internal blog” post in full. The memo warned that Apple “employees, contractors, or suppliers—do get caught, and they’re getting caught faster than ever.”
The post also reportedly noted that, “in some cases,” leakers “face jail time and massive fines for network intrusion and theft of trade secrets both classified as federal crimes,” adding that, in 2017, “Apple caught 29 leakers, and of those, 12 were arrested.”
]]>McCabe authorized the leak to the Wall Street Journal for a story about an ongoing investigation into the Clinton Foundation scandal in 2016, according to The New York Times and the Washington Post, who cited several sources familiar with the upcoming report. McCabe also misled the DOJ watchdog investigators about his improper media disclosure.
McCabe stepped down from his position as the FBI Deputy Director in January, amid concerns over a review by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
The report is part of Horowitz’s review on how the FBI and Justice Department handled the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was serving as secretary of state. The Justice Department is investigating why McCabe took three weeks to act on a request to examine Clinton’s emails, which were discovered during the 2016 US presidential election. The Wall Street Journal revealed a dispute between the FBI and the Justice Department over how to address the probe into the financial dealings of the Clinton Foundation.
McCabe became acting director of the FBI in May 2017, following President Donald Trump’s removal of then-FBI Director James Comey. McCabe is closely connected to Democrats through his wife Jill, who ran for state office in Virginia in 2015 and received $ 500,000 from the super PAC of Terry McAuliffe, a Clinton ally and former governor of Virginia. She lost by 2,000 votes.
McCabe became involved in the Clinton email probe in February 2016.
Trump has been highly critical of McCabe, believing he has pushed anti-Trump bias in the upper echelons of federal law enforcement.
How can FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, the man in charge, along with leakin’ James Comey, of the Phony Hillary Clinton investigation (including her 33,000 illegally deleted emails) be given $ 700,000 for wife’s campaign by Clinton Puppets during investigation?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) 23 December 2017
It was later revealed that McCabe’s former senior adviser, Lisa Page, exchanged anti-Trump and pro-Clinton text messages with Peter Strzok, a senior FBI agent, while they were involved in ongoing investigations of Clinton and Trump.
Comey also has a reputation for leaking classified materials. After Trump fired him in May 2017, Comey leaked the contents of his memos to the press through a friend.
The disclosures come at a particularly unfortunate time for the FBI. The agency has been embroiled in even more controversy after the House Intelligence Committee released a Republican memo purportedly showing that the FBI committed surveillance abuses in 2016. The memo alleges that a dossier, paid for by the Clinton campaign, formed the basis of the FISA warrant obtained by the FBI to spy on Trump’s former campaign adviser Carter Page.
In December 2017, McCabe was questioned by the House Intelligence Committee regarding possible collusion between Trump and Russia. Fox News sources said that McCabe told the panel that the FBI worked assiduously to verify the contents of the Trump dossier and the agency stood by it.

Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore’s camp on Thursday appeared to preempt news of a bombshell Washington Post report by leaking details to sympathetic right-wing outlet Breitbart News.
The Washington Post reported that Moore, the GOP’s nominee for Alabama’s special Senate election this year, had initiated a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl when he was 32 years old.
Minutes before the story dropped, Breitbart News published its own story previewing the Post’s bombshell. The story detailed some of the allegations, but with a distinct twist that attempted to undermine the Post’s credibility.
The story’s headline read: “After Endorsing Democrat In Alabama, Washington Post Plans To Hit Roy Moore With Allegations Of Inappropriate Relations With Teenagers; Judge Fires Back Denial.”
Breitbart included included five paragraphs of denials from Moore, which were placed above many of the details of the allegations. The story’s author, Aaron Klein, also highlighted that one woman in the article “characterized Moore as being romantic, reading poetry to her and playing the guitar.”
The outlet disparaged the paper’s owner, Jeff Bezos, calling him an “open borders champion.” Further, Breitbart noted that the Washington Post editorial board had endorsed Moore’s challenger, Democrat Doug Jones, though the editorial board is separate from the site’s reporting staff.
On its front page, the outlet gloated about scooping the Post’s bombshell report and claimed it was “more popular” online than The Washington Post.

Washington Post media critic Erik Wemple, an opinion writer who is separate from the news team that broke the story, said he wasn’t surprised by Breitbart’s story. He said its preview may have actually raised awareness about the Post’s story.
“Breitbart cares about clicks and protecting politicians who align with Steve Bannon’s ideology, though not always in that order,” Wemple said, referring to the former White House chief strategist. “Here, it pursued both at the same time.”
He added: “It’s a nice illustration of how media diversity works in bizarre ways for the benefit of certain embattled politicians. Such prebuttal journalism isn’t my style, but Breitbart does what Breitbart does. And though the goal appears to have been to undermine The Post’s story, seems to me that the effect was to provide a boost for it.”
Breitbart boosted Moore during the Republican primary earlier this year, despite opposition from Republican leaders including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and President Donald Trump, who backed Sen. Luther Strange.
But the new revelations could prove especially damaging for Moore, who has espoused deeply conservative beliefs throughout his tenure as a judge and a Republican candidate. During his time as a judge, Moore, for example, barred a gay woman from seeing her children unsupervised because of her “lifestyle.”
Many Republican leaders like McConnell on Thursday called on Moore to “step aside” if the allegations are true.

Manchester United boss Mourinho signed Modric from Tottenham when he was in charge of Real Madrid back in 2012.
The Croatia international endured a rocky start to life in Spain – being voted La Liga’s worst signing in a fan poll – as Real lost out on major trophies to the likes of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
But he has since become one of the world’s best midfielders, helping Los Blancos win the Champions League three times in the past four years.
And Spanish outlet Diario Gol say Modric maintains a close relationship with Mourinho despite the 54-year-old leaving the Bernabeu four years ago.
In a shock report, it is implied that the former Spurs ace is leaking information to the Manchester United manager about the situation in Spain.
Real enjoyed a breathtaking start to the new campaign, winning both the Spanish and European Super Cups.
But their league form has left much to be desired, with Zinedine Zidane’s side already seven points adrift of fierce rivals Barcelona.
Diario Gol say Real’s weaknesses are being exposed by their current No10 to one of their biggest enemies.
And, among the leaked information, is news about Gareth Bale’s situation.
It is well known that the Red Devils were hellbent on signing the Wales international in the summer.
And, though a deal failed to materialise, it appears Modric is feeding Mourinho hope of signing the 28-year-old further down the line.
Meanwhile, United legend Ryan Giggs has urged Bale to change the way he plays in order to overcome his injury issues.
“When you look at Bale and the physical specimen he is, he is always going to be putting his body under pressure, especially with the sort of challenges he comes up against from other players,” he said.
“With the injuries he has had and at the stage of his career, this is when you need to start addressing it. When you get to your late 20s it hits home that you need to start making changes.
“Everyone is different and I tried to cover every base with yoga, acupuncture, ice baths, but what might work for some players might not for others.
“You also have to adapt your game. You can’t play in your late 20s like you did when you were 19, but that experience means your brain is quicker and you can be more economical yet more effective.
“I was definitely more effective in games in my late 20s even if I wasn’t as quick.”
URINARY incontinence – where urine leaks – is a common problem that can affect quality of life. Here are some of the most common causes.![]()
Urinary incontinence is a condition where someone unintentionally leaks urine.
It is a common problem thought to affect millions of people, according to the NHS.
There are several types, but stress incontinence and urge incontinence are the two most common.
The former is when urine leaks at times when the bladder is most under pressure – such as when you cough or laugh – but is not related to feeling stressed.
However, the latter is the sudden, intense urge to go to the toilet, and can triggered by a sudden change of position or even the sound of running water.
According to the NHS, urinary incontinence happens when the normal process of storing and passing urine is disrupted.
Here are some of the main reasons it can happen, and they are all avoidable.
Obesity
This can trigger stress incontinence, according to the NHS.
The extra weight places increased pressure on your tummy which can also put pressure on your bladder as it fills with urine.
Alcohol
Drinking too much alcohol and caffeine can be causes of urge incontinence.
They can lead your detrusor muscles – which relax and contract in the walls of the bladder to control urine flow – to contract too often.
Lack of fluids
Poor intake of fluids can cause strong, concentrated urine to collect in your bladder.
This can irritate the bladder and cause symptoms of overactivity.
Medications
Some medicines can interrupt the normal process of storing and passing urine, or raise the amount of urine produced, and trigger stress and urge incontinence.
These include angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, diuretics, some antidepressants, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and sedatives.
Constipation
Urge incontinence and overflow incontinence – caused by a blockage or obstruction in the bladder – can be caused by constipation.
You can ensure your stools pass regularly by eating enough fibre, drinking enough fluids, being active and going to the toilet when you feel the urge.
Other factors which can cause urinary incontinence include damage to the bladder through surgery, Crohn’s disease, a spinal cord injury, diabetes and multiple sclerosis.
More than 10 per cent of men aged 65 and over have urinary and bowel incontinence to some degree.
This group are also the least likely to talk about the problem.
Often because of embarrassment or denial, men will wait, on average, 4.2 years after first experiencing bladder control problems before seeing a healthcare professional.
It was her responsibility to reveal classified military documents to the public, Chelsea Manning told ABC in her first interview after leaving prison, adding that she was unaware that the leaks could threaten US national security.
“I’m just me. It’s as simple as that,” Manning told ABC Nightline co-anchor Juju Chang, when asked if she considered herself a hero or a traitor.
She said she “accepted responsibility” for providing 700,000 military documents on Iraq and Afghanistan to WikiLeaks in 2010 – the biggest military leak in US history.
“Anything I’ve done, it’s me. There’s no one else. No one told me to do this. Nobody directed me to do this. This is me. It’s on me,” the whistleblower said.
Manning, who was once a military intelligence analyst in Iraq, said that revealing documents which, among other things, contained records of civilian deaths in the US’ ‘war on terror,’ was her “responsibility to the public.”
“We’re getting all this information from all these different sources and it’s just death, destruction, mayhem. And eventually you just stop… I stopped seeing just statistics and information, and I started seeing people,” she said.
The whistleblower explained that “counter insurgency warfare isn’t a simple thing. It’s not as simple as good guys vs bad guys. It’s a mess.”
Manning categorically said “no” when addressed on if she was aware that her leaks could have jeopardized US national security.

The whistleblower received a 35-year sentence for the leaks, but was released in May on clemency from then-President Barack Obama after serving seven years.

While in prison, Manning opened up about being transgender and switched his name from Bradley to Chelsea, winning the fight for hormone treatment from the military.
