Strictly Come Dancing 2019 has been an interesting year for Strictly fans, as the BBC show has thrown a lot of curveballs at the contestants. Last week saw the tragic exit of Michelle Visage, after fans rallied around her the week before. This week, following on from the iconic Blackpool episode, saw the contestants struggle to find their feet again. The challenging week left some contestants a little worse off than others, but ultimately, it was a low-scoring week on the show. YouTube star and youngsters’ favourite Saffron Barker struggled to keep it together alongside her partner AJ Pritchard. The 19-year-old took on the Samba to Walking on Sunshine this evening, which wowed crowds and fans, but didn’t do too much for the judges. Unfortunately for Saffron, this performance left her joint last with Alex Scott and her partner Neil Jones. READ MORE: Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Giovanni Pernice too ‘busy’ to meet Michelle Visage to dance Both pairs were left with scores of 26, which is considered quite low at week ten. Since then, bookmakers have been furiously adjusting their odds – and things don’t look good for Saffron. According to Coral, Saffron and AJ are the evens favourite to be eliminated from the results show this evening. This would be a dreadful loss for Saffron, who has consistently worked her way up through the show over the past ten weeks. However their luck may not be entirely out just yet, as Alex and Neil aren’t far behind them. The pair have been given a 2-1 odds on leaving the show this evening – which, although better than Saffron and AJ, certainly isn’t the greatest odds. Coral’s John Hill explained: “Saffron survived the dance-off last week, however, our betting suggests she will have no such luck this week as she is the favourite in our elimination market following the latest performances.” Meanwhile, things haven’t changed for Kelvin Fletcher, who is still the odds-on favourite to win the competition outright with 2-5 to claim the Glitterball Trophy. Karim Zeroual, despite having a tough night as well, is still sitting with an impressive 4-1 odds on winning as well. OddsMonkey spokesperson Peter Watton recently spoke about last week’s results, and how this week could indeed follow the same pattern. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Peter said: “Many people might have been shocked by Michelle Visage, Bookmakers included. “But the Social Media stats tell us otherwise. In the week she went she gained less than one per cent, the same as Saffron Barker who was in the dance off with her. Epic Games have launched their final day of online competition for their latest eSports competition. The Fortnite Summer Skirmish will continue over the coming weeks, with day 2 of the current bracket finishing today. The first day of week 2 action was won by competitor iDropz_bodies, one of a number of players who have been selected to take part in the tournament. The player’s win came under some scrutiny from fans online, with Epic Games forced to defend the winner and provide answers to those concerned by the accusations. Here’s a roundup of what Epic Games said, writing on Reddit: “Our internal Summer Skirmish analytics kept track of all opponents which participants eliminated. iDroPz_BoDiEs had 129 eliminations during the event and every single elimination was on a different opponent. “This is not indicative of him having been intentionally fed eliminations and/or collusion with other players. “Our analytics events also noted when players left the match prior to the bus deploying and recorded those matches. “iDroPz_BoDiEs did not join more than the specified 10 matches for the event, the narrative that he was leaving if the server wasn’t full or the bus wasn’t on a favourable path is false. “Stat tracking sites are unreliable for recording historic performance, as they only update when the website requests stats for a user from the API. “This makes any ‘Most Eliminations in a Single Match’ records on an account unlikely to be correct, as multiple matches in a time period are combined into one update. iDroPz_BoDiEs has achieved more than 20 eliminations in a match multiple times across his Fortnite career. “In previous Showdown LTM’s which followed a similar scoring format on public servers, there has been no discernible difference in final score between top performers on PC and Console platforms. “During this event we saw 11 matches break the 20 elimination mark, with 8 of them on PC and 3 on Console. “There is no evidence that would suggest to us that iDroPz_BoDiEs played the competition using a mouse and keyboard. Furthermore, we do not restrict input device for players on our platforms in an effort to promote accessibility for our entire audience.” FORTNITE SUMMER SKIRMISH WEEK 2 Week 2 of the Twitch-streamed tournament is currently ongoing and will have action being played today. For those that don’t know, the Summer Skirmish series includes a range of new eSports competitions which will consist of top prize money. The 8-week series we’ll be awarding $ 8,000,000 in prize money in total, with $ 1,000,000 up for grabs during week 2, split between both days. Each time the Fortnite Summer Skirmish is run, Epic Games will change up the format to make it a little more interesting. The Week 2 format is the highest score wins, meaning plenty of competition for those hoping to grab a slice of the prize money. The player with the highest score after 10 Solo matches will be named the winner. Victory Royales and Eliminations in this competition will be scored to determine placement at the end of the event. The top 20 players at the end of the Week 2 Summer Skirmish will be awarded. Scoring is as follows: SCORING It should also be noted that the player with the most Eliminations in a Single Game will be awarded: $ 50,000. For those who want to sign up, Epic Games have already confirmed that they have a set list of people who have been invited. So unless you have received a tournament pass from them, there’s no need to inquire how to join the summer event. It should also be noted that the Fortnite Summer Skirmish is currently ongoing, meaning that the final standings and leaderboards from the Twitch tournament will change. The Summer Skirmish series started again on Friday and will be running for the second leg of the competition on Saturday, July 21, at 6pm BST. McIlroy (-11) is bidding to become the sixth man to win the career Grand Slam and is within striking distance of overnight leader Patrick Reed (-14). Reed, who has yet to land a major title, takes a three-shot lead into the final round having made two eagles in a round of 67. Rickie Fowler (-9) is third, one ahead of Jon Rahm (-8). Four-time champion Tiger Woods, who was among the bookies favourite to win at Augusta, sits on four over after three rounds. SO IT BEGINS… 15:30: The first few are out and about on a beautiful day in Augusta. Vijay Singh (+7), who led at one point, open things up with par followed by a birdie. Ian Poulter (+6) does the same with birdie on the first. Phil Mickelson (+7) has just begun his round. AFTERNOON Hello everyone, I’ll be your host for the final day of the Masters 2018. I say it every year, but It’s gone too quickly, right? Anyway, we’ve got a mouth-watering final day to look forward to with Patrick Reed and Rory McIlroy going head-to-head for the famous Green Jacket. Those two get going at 7.40pm. Before they get started, we’ve got plenty more going on with 2000 Masters champions Vijay Singh teeing off at 3pm. He’s followed by Ian Poulter, Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods, who wants to end the week on a high. WHAT THEY SAID… Rory McIlroy: “It’s massive to be in the final group for the first time here since 2011,” said McIlroy. “I’ve been waiting for this chance, to be honest. I always have said that 2011 was a huge turning point in my career. It was the day that I realised I wasn’t ready to win major championships, and I needed to reflect on that and realise what I needed to do differently. “But now I am ready. Obviously I’m not in the lead like I was going into that day, so I probably don’t have as much pressure. I don’t have to protect anything. I can go out and sort of freewheel like I did today, which is a great position to be in. “I wish I was a little closer to the lead or leading, but I’m in the final group and I’ve shot 65 on moving day at the Masters. It’s all I can ask for. “I’m really excited to show everyone what I’ve got, to show Patrick Reed what I’ve got and all the pressure is on him. He went to Augusta State and has a lot of support and I’m hoping to come in here and spoil the party. “Patrick’s got a three shot lead, I feel like all the pressure’s on him. He’s got a few guys chasing him who are pretty big time players. He’s got that to sleep on tonight.” Patrick Reed: “It’s going to be a lot of fun. “Obviously we’re both playing really solid golf to be able to go into a final round on Sunday at the first major. But really I’m just going to do my thing and stick to my game plan and go out and enjoy my Sunday. “I’m not out there to play Rory. I’m out there to play the golf course. The biggest thing I can pull from Hazeltine is I was going head to head with Rory and was able to put together a really good round, and when he tried to make a counter, I was able to always stay ahead and keep going.” Golf: Catch all the action from the second round of The Masters. MARC Leishman was last in this position at Augusta in 2013. Back in the year made famous by Adam Scott, he was tied for second at the halfway stage behind Jason Day. He went on to finish in a tie for fourth with Tiger Woods. Five years later and he’s back in the hunt, sitting just two shots behind leader Patrick Reed after an impressive second round 67 highlighted by an incredible iron shot on the 15th that led to an eagle. He tees off with the American in the final pairing of the day at 4.30am (EST). “I just feel comfortable around here,” Leishman said after his second round. Golf: Aussie Marc Leishman has taken on the par 5 15th, and won – managing an eagle to move within one shot of the lead. “I played with (Adam Scott) Scotty that day when he won and I saw first-hand what it takes to win around here. “You have to grab the bull by the horns because it’s not going to come to you; you have to go out and win it.” In truth, the tournament is wide open with some classy players within striking distance. One of those is Rory McIlroy who is chasing a Masters win to complete his clean sweep of the majors. McIlroy calmed himself down after a seesaw start to his second round on a blustery day and carved out a one-under-par 71 to put him in contention at four under. “Being up there around the lead going into the weekend, it’s a good position to be in,” he said. Picture: Getty Images/AFP AUSSIE Marc Leishman has made s sizzling start to his second round at Augusta taking back the lead he held early in round one as the top of table was turned on its head. Playing with Tiger Woods again, Leishman nailed three straight birdie sin his opening three holes to storm to five-under, equal leader with Patrick Reed who birdied his opening two holes. Overnight leader Jordan Spieth, who started the day on six-under surrendered his position with a double-bogey then a bogey in his opening two holes as scoring became tough in windy conditions and he dropped to two-over. And Aussie young gun Cameron Smith was the clubhouse leader at one-under after going out in the first group of the day, He had a roller-coaster front nine, with three each of birdies and bogeys, the settled down the stretch to post an even-par 72, guaranteeing his progression to the weekend. The 24-year-old Queenslander said relaxing would be key for him to get ready for the final two rounds, in just his second Masters appearance. “I’m trying not to think about it too much,” he said. “Just keep doing what I’m doing heading into the weekend. Just need to hit a few more balls this afternoon … and get the driver figured out and then I think I’ll be good to go.” Adam Scott, the 2013 Masters champion, was having more troubles, which included putting his tee shot at the par three 12th in to the water. He made a bogey and dropped to five-over, which was right on the cut line, before wrestling a shot back on the next hole. Jason Day was also at three-over, early in his second round. JASON Day dunking his opening drive of the Masters in to a fan’s beer wasn’t the best Aussie highlight as compatriot Marc Leishman putted his way to the top of the Augusta leaderboard. Playing in the most watched group of the day with comeback kid Tiger Woods, Leishman had three birdies in his opening seven holes, and just 11 putts in his opening nine to get to four-under though 14 holes. Swede Henrik Stenson is also four-under through 13. Austrian Bernd Wiesberger was the clubhouse leader on two-under, but with less than 20 rounds completed. Woods was riding a rollercoaster, with an birdie then two bogeys on his opening nine left him one-over through then he had a disaster at the 11th, spraying his drive on to the 14th fairway, then scorching a second shot in to the crowd lining his exit route up ahead. He made bogey, but the troubles continued as put his tee shot on the famous par three 12th hole in to the water but saved himself after a poor chip with a long bogey putt. A stunning second shot on 14 helped him make birdie but then he sprayed his drive on 15 in to the trees as his up and down round continued. There were plenty having struggles too, with just 14 of the 87 starters under par as the opening round continues. Real VR has nothing on the Oasis on Ready Player One. But alas, the completely immersive technology in Steven Spielberg‘s upcoming science-fiction movie is decades away from existence.
But you can get a little taste of what it would be like to enter the virtual world of the Oasis with a new Ready Player One contest: the Join the Leaderboard sweepstakes.
The year is 2045. The world has reached cataclysmic poverty and devastation in everywhere but the Oasis, a virtual reality game that has consumed the entire population. After the passing of its eccentric founder James Halliday (Mark Rylance), a fervent hunt for his “Easter eggs” ensues. Whoever finds three “keys” will unlock the door to his vast fortune.
Hopefully, the world won’t look quite so dire when we get to 2045, because Ready Player One is banking on its prizes to last until then. The Join the Leaderboard Sweepstakes offers three prizes that will be valid for the next 27 years. They include:
Fans can participate by visiting www.jointheleaderboard.com. Multiple entries can be unlocked by sharing Ready Player One content with friends via the website.
The contest launches today, and was announced in a new Ready Player One promo.
The sweepstakes will close on March 12, 2018 and winners will be announced in three stages. The winner of the Copper Key will be revealed on March 19, the Jade Key on March 21, and the Crystal Grand Prize on March 26.
As James Halliday enticingly says in the promo, let the hunt…begin.
Here is the official synopsis for Ready Player One:
The film is set in 2045, with the real world on the brink of chaos and collapse. But people have found salvation in the OASIS, an immersive virtual universe where you can go anywhere, do anything, be anyone. The OASIS was created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday (Mark Rylance). When Halliday died, he left his immense fortune, and total control of the OASIS, to the first person to win three keys, unlocking the door to a digital Easter egg he hid somewhere in his seemingly infinite creation. His challenge launched a game that gripped the entire world, but after five years the scoreboard remained tauntingly empty…until now.
An unlikely young hero named Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan)—under his avatar name, Parzival—finally conquers the first contest, instantly becoming a celebrity…and a target. Ruthless corporate mogul Nolan Sorrento (Ben Mendelsohn) proves he will stop at nothing to beat Wade and take over the OASIS, and suddenly the virtual stakes are all-too-real. Ultimately realizing he cannot win alone, Wade joins forces with his friends—now the High Five (Sheridan, Olivia Cooke, Lena Waithe, Philip Zhao, Win Morisaki). Together, they are hurled into a reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical universe of discovery and danger to save the OASIS.
Ready Player One is set to hit theaters on March 29, 2018.

Woods hosts the tournament and has a strong field to contend with his on his return to the sport.
He went round with Patrick Reed yesterday and tees off with Justin Thomas today.
Race to Dubai winner and runner up Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose are involved in a mainly American field.
Defending champion Hideki Matsuyama goes off first with Francesco Molinari with Jordan Spieth and Matt Kuchar last to start.
Woods claims he feels good but is not putting himself under any pressure to add to his 14 Major victories.
“This is very different. Last year I was still struggling with the pain,” Woods said.
“Looking back, it was like I was hitting in slow-motion. [The injury] been a slow, degrading process.
“Now looking back on it, I didn’t have much at all.
“To be able to do what I’ve been doing the last few weeks has been a lot of fun.
“I’ve played some great rounds with the guys back at home.”
Hosted by Gary Player, the tournament is widely acknowledged as a difficult and demanding course.
Tommy Fleetwood goes into the penultimate event of the European Tour with a 134,839 point advantage.
Justin Rose, who won two weeks on the trot at the World Golf Championship in Shanghai and the Turkish Open, will not be competing.
Should Fleetwood win in South Africa, it would give him an unassailable lead going into the final event of the season – the World Tour Championship in Dubai.
Although he hasn’t posted a sub-70 opening round since winning the Open de France in July, the 26-year-old is eager to get off to a quick as he chases a third victory of the season.
“I’d like to start tournaments off a little bit quicker,” Fleetwood said.
“The last couple I have played okay on Thursdays and not scored very well and then you’re behind the eight ball.
“I’d like to get off to a good start but if you don’t, keep going and keep your head down.
“Aside from everything else that is going on, it’s one of those tournaments that you’d love to win – I’d love to have my name on that path walking up the ninth hole (at the Gary Player Country Club).”
Fleetwood admits he needs to improve his birdie conversion rate, adding: “It’s still kind of in my hands. I’ve got to keep concentrating on what I’m doing and I played nice last week.
“I went the last two rounds without a bogey but I didn’t convert many of my birdie chances.
“I’d like to win the tournament and it’s at that stage where every shot counts.”
