Conservative Lahren is known for railing against liberal values, shooting to fame for her short “final thoughts” video segments on conservative TV network TheBlaze.

She left TheBlaze for Fox News in 2017 after expressing her own liberal views on abortion.

Kelly caused a furore in the US media and on social media this week after appearing on a panel show discussing universities pressuring students to wear “culturally appropriate” Halloween costumes.

Referring to her own childhood, Kelly recalled how using blackface at Halloween was acceptable “as long as you were dressing like a character.”

While Kelly has since apologized for her comments in a letter to NBC, following up with an emotional on-air apology on her Wednesday morning edition, NBC said on Friday that she would no longer be presenting the 9 AM hour of the Today show.

Kelly joined NBC News from Fox in 2017, signing a three-year deal worth $ 69 million.

Conservative firebrand Tomi Lahren filed a lawsuit against Glenn Beck and TheBlaze on Friday, alleging she was wrongfully terminated for recently expressing a pro-choice opinion.

The news was first reported by the Dallas Morning News.

During a March 17 appearance on “The View,” Lahren said she could not “sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies.”

The comment ignited controversy, with anti-abortion activists in conservative media outraged Lahren had suggested they were hypocrites.

As a result of the comment, the lawsuit said, Lahren was contacted by TheBlaze’s human resources director a few days later and suspended indefinitely “all because of her pro-choice opinions expressed on The View.”

Several days after being suspended, Lahren was reached again by human resources and told her “services were no longer needed” and that her employment was terminated, the lawsuit said. Nevertheless, the company continued to pay her, the lawsuit said, with hopes it “could find an exit strategy to sanitize” its “unlawful conduct.”

“Plaintiff’s unilateral suspension and termination by [TheBlaze] underscores the point that Beck and [TheBlaze] have a political-opinion litmus test, which cannot be reconciled with the Employment Contract that specifically authorizes Plaintiff to express her own views without the threat of retaliation,” the lawsuit said.

Lahren said in the lawsuit that TheBlaze added “insult to injury” by placing yellow caution tape over her office and terminating her email account. She also said in the lawsuit that TheBlaze had blocked access to her Facebook page and contended it was not the company’s “intellectual property.”

Lahren, whose footprint on the internet has grown immensely with President Donald Trump’s rise to power, also jabbed Beck’s public stature, claiming TheBlaze’s actions were motivated by “specific intent to inflate” his profile “from what has become a mediocre following.” Beck alienated many of his supporters during the 2016 presidential election by taking a strong anti-Trump stance.

The lawsuit concluded by asking for a temporary restraining order. It also asked the court to enter a permanent injunctive relief order to prevent the destruction of evidence, and for Beck and TheBlaze to cover her legal fees “as well as other relief” that “she may show herself justly entitled.”

Neither a representative for Beck or TheBlaze immediately responded to a request for comment Friday afternoon.

1. Conservative talk show host Tomi Lahren has reportedly been suspended from her show on The Blaze, after her recent admission she is pro-choice caused controversy with fans.

2. Lahren, who has gained viral fame for her inflammatory remarks about millennials, liberals, and others, has been suspended for a week, the Daily Caller reported.

The 24-year-old’s contract with the network is up in September, and she may leave the network before that, “multiple sources” told the website.

Leon Wolf, the managing editor of the network, told the The Daily Beast that staffers had been informed that Lahren’s show would not be in production this week.

He didn’t use the word “suspended,” the website reported.

3. Lahren made the comments in an appearance on The View on Friday, saying to believe in limited government but be against abortion rights would make her a “hypocrite.”

“You know what? I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well,” she said.

5. Her comments drew ire from her conservative fans, many who said they were outraged she would support abortion.

8. Neither The Blaze nor Lahren returned a request for comment from BuzzFeed News. However, Lahren has been dropping some subtweets since her episode aired.

“First of all, we have a whole bunch of different kinds of people that work here…If you’re pro-choice, you can have a job at The Blaze,” he said.

However, he said he disagreed with Lahren’s comments that conservatives who are anti-abortion are “hypocrites,” citing passages from the US Constitution he said he believed backed up his argument.

“I would disagree that you’re a hypocrite if you want limited government and yet you want the government to protect life of the unborn,” he said. “It’s very, very clear. But it takes intellectual honesty, and it takes a willingness to actually think these things through and to do more than just read Twitter or Facebook to get your news and your political opinions.”

He didn’t directly comment on Lahren’s future at the network.
