Strictly Come Dancing bosses have been working hard to put plans in place to ensure this season of the BBC dance show can still go ahead. With the full, 12 person cast list being unveiled a few weeks ago, it seems everything is set to provide viewers with some normality during this very unpredictable time. However, as part of the procedures in place to make the studios COVID secure, executive producer Sarah James has explained some of this year’s contestants might be making an early exit from the competition. How is Boris Johnson handling the coronavirus crisis? Vote in our poll Speaking to Express.co.uk and other publications, the show boss said: “So, unfortunately, if you receive a positive test, that means that you wouldn’t be able to continue in a competition. “Obviously, according to government guidelines, if you receive a positive test, you have to isolate for two weeks, and that would, unfortunately, rule them out.” In previous years, if a cast member has fallen ill, they would normally be given a bypass to the following week. However, due to how infectious coronavirus is, the bosses can’t take any risks so the celebrity and their professional would have to bow out. This year’s season has already been cut down by several weeks, meaning a two-week gap would be too great to allow someone to continue. READ MORE: Strictly Come Dancing 2020 line-up: Celebrity contestants confirmed However, Sarah did talk about the guidelines and some more of the plans in place to avoid this contingency at any cost. The show boss said: “So, in terms of the crew and people coming on-site, it’s very similar, I think, to a lot of workplaces – everybody will be distancing. “We have reduced the numbers of people in the studio itself. Everybody has to sign a self-declaration form that they don’t have any symptoms before they enter the site. “Everybody’s temperature is checked and everybody wears face coverings at all times and there’s sanitiser everywhere – the studio is deep cleaned every evening and throughout the day.” “On top of that, we are also asking our celebrities and dancers to be part of an exclusive support bubble, which is a kind of wider term also available to everybody in the public,” Sarah added. “But that means that one half of the party has to live alone. So either the dancer or the celebrity will be living on their own in order to form the exclusive support bubble.” At the moment, all celebrities are preparing themselves to begin their training but bookmakers already have their sights on who could be making an early exit. If the current format were to go ahead with no unexpected departures, it seems comedian Bill Bailey, 55, or former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, 57, could be bowing out first. Coral bookmakers have both contestants at 50/1 to be eliminated first, ahead of their other 10 competitors. Spokesperson Harry Aitkenhead said: “We think that Bill and Jacqui are going to be battling it out to avoid being the first celebrity of the series to be eliminated, and their odds of winning are very long indeed.” On the other end of the scale, it seems EastEnders star Maisie Smith, 19, is the one to beat going into the live shows. The soap star’s chances of winning currently stand at 2/1, with Aitkenhead adding: “We think that Maisie is the one to beat on the dancefloor this year and price her up as the hot favourite to win Strictly 2020.” Strictly Come Dancing 2020 begins next month on BBC One.

Supporters of Estonia’s anti-immigration party have attacked an MEP, who backs a UN-sponsored migration pact, during a protest in Tallinn. Protesters were seen pushing the politician before he was finally knocked down.
As Estonian lawmakers were set to greenlight the UN accord on international cooperation on migration, the supporters of the Conservative People’s Party of Estonia (EKRE) descended on parliament to rally against the move.
MPs from a rival Social Democratic Party (SDE) faced the protesters in attempt to dispel their concerns over the highly-debated document. However, several hundred-strong crowds were reluctant to hear from them. The demonstrators reportedly barred them from stage.
MEP Indrek Tarand, who is to stand for the SDE at the next year’s national elections, then stepped in and took to the stage as conservative MP Martin Helme was speaking.Tarand was attacked after attempting to take the microphone from Helme.
“If you don’t want hundreds of thousands of refugees to come here, then vote for the Social Democrats,” he said into the mic, as cited by local media.
Tarand was then pushed off the stage and immediately encircled by protesters. During the scuffle that ensued, he was knocked to the ground and reportedly kicked by protesters. A video from the scene shows a man seemingly preventing the MEP getting back on his feet, holding his hood and pulling him away from the platform.
Luckily, the politician was not injured during the incident and reported it to police.
“I was a victim of physical violence, and as a law-abiding citizen I filed a police report after what happened,” Tarand told ERR. “This kind of public attack seriously cannot be allowed.”
As the police launched an investigation, some EKRE representatives claimed that Tarand was drunk and accused him of “attacking the organizers” and “being destructive.”The police later refuted the claims.
On Monday evening, the Estonian parliament finally agreed a declaration to support the approach to migration following a heated debate. The Reform Party abstained from the vote calling it a “failure” of the government.
The draft of the non-binding Global Compact on Migration has been negotiated over two years and now the states are reviewing the document, which is to be adopted at a UN conference in December.
Apart from the US, which initially refused to negotiate the agreement, several other countries have already voiced their opposition to the pact and are set to pull out from it, including Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia.

The bubonic plague years and the breakout of two World Wars were terrible times. But these were not the worst periods to be alive, scientists claim in new research.
It’s the year 536. The 6th century year is thought to have been the beginning of bizarrely cold and dark summers, blamed for causing crop failure in Ireland, Scandinavia and China. Amazingly, the unusual weather was perhaps caused by volcanic material such as ash blocking out parts of the sun and wreaking havoc with the environment.
“It was the beginning of one of the worst periods to be alive, if not the worst year,” medieval historian Michael McCormick, of the Harvard University, told Science Magazine. His Antiquity study suggests the reason for the onset of the ‘Dark Age’ literally and metaphorically was a volcanic eruption.
Evidence of volcanic material dating back to 536 was found in sample ice cores taken from the Colle Gnifetti glacier on the Swiss-Italian border. While scientists are unsure of the origin of the tephra – its thought it could have come via winds from North America or Iceland – the findings point to drastic cooling resulting in famine and a decline in human fortunes.
The bizarre weather is reported to have continued for decades, with researchers now said to be continuing their search for the volcano that may have helped bring about the Dark Ages.
While the study paints a gloomy picture, the same ice glacier also tells of a respite for Europeans, at least during the 600s. Lead levels around 640 indicate an upturn in the economy through the smelting of silver coins, according to the study, authored by Michael McCormick and Christopher Loveluck.

Ryanair removed a man dressed as Peter Pan fairy character Tinkerbell and his friend from a flight to Krakow, Poland after they became disruptive on the plane at Stanstead Airport.
According to one passenger on the flight, the man had “threatened to cut everyone up“.
Armed police were called to the scene this morning to help Ryanair cabin crew, causing the flight to be delayed.
“Our flight to Krakow hasn’t taken off yet because a man dressed as Tinkerbell has threatened to cut everyone up. This is why you don’t fly Ryanair from Stansted,” passenger Dan May tweeted today.
He then added: “Armed police have shown up. One officer has adjusted the man’s wings.”
Local news site Essex Live reported that the two men were a groom and best man.
Photographs have now emerged of the man dressed as Disney character Tinkerbell standing next to an armed police officer to the side of a plane.
The green dress is very short and he has teamed the look with white socks and black trainers.
One passenger on the Ryanair flight, who wanted to remain anonymous, told Essex Live that the man appeared to be drunk.
“He was a little bit drunk and just before leaving the best man decided it’s best to take him off,” he said.
“He had been given another chance by the cabin crew but the group thought best he went for the next plane.”
It seems the man dressed as Tinkerbell wasn’t the only one in fancy dress as May also referred to a man dressed as children’s TV character Bob the Builder.
“Meanwhile, the man dressed as Bob the Builder has been exceptionally well behaved,” May tweeted.
A spokesperson from Ryanair told Essex Live: “Police removed and detained two passengers ahead of this flight from London Stansted to Krakow who were disruptive before the aircraft departed to Krakow.
“We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority. This is now a matter for local police.”
The Irish low-budget airline has taken the opportunity to reiterate their call for airports to ban alcohol sales before 10am and to limit alcoholic drinks to just two per passenger in a bid to crack down on drunken behaviour on board their flights.
The Ryanair flight eventually departed after a short delay. Both the man dressed as Tinkerbell and his friend booked on to a separate flight to Poland to join their party.
Express.co.uk has contacted Ryanair for comment.
This is not the first time this week armed police were called to remove a passenger from a flight.
Yesterday, an easyJet passenger was taken off a plane by officers when flying to back London over a disagreement regarding a booked seat with extra legroom.
Sam Ramsay Smith, 72, travelled to Amsterdam from London Gatwick to seek treatment for a medical condition that made it difficult for him to walk easily.
When returning from Amsterdam, Dr Smith had paid £27 for a seat with extra legroom due to his injury. When boarding he discovered his seat had been taken, which was when the disagreement took place.
After complaining his front row seat, 1E was occupied, he told The Sun the captain said: “I don’t like your attitude. You have to get off the plane.”
Police armed with machine guns then boarded the plane. Dr Smith told the newspaper: “One said to me ‘are you going to resist?’ I replied ‘do I look as though I am capable?’”
He was then taken off the plane by the police and forced to take a flight to London the next day. However, the airline has refuted his claims and said Dr Smith had become abusive during the altercation.

Heine Allemagne the Inventor of vanishing spray used by referees says FIFA stole his idea
One World Cup later Heine Allemagne, 44, who has registered the patent for his 9.15 Fair Play foam in no fewer than 44 countries, is destitute, forced to scratch out a living on a coffee farm in rural Brazil.
“FIFA robbed my idea,” he claims. “This is anti-fair play.” Allemagne says that after years of perfecting his spray, football’s governing body initially offered him $ 500,000 (£380,000) for the patent.
He held out for more money and says: “The finance director of FIFA [Julio Grondona] told me to be smart, after the World Cup it was going to be worth more.
“He asked to use the spray in the World Cup because FIFA would pay no less than $ 40 million [£30.4million] after.”
FIFA never honoured that deal – and according to Allemagne has since encouraged other companies to manufacture the spray.

Referee Ravshan Irmatov uses spray to mark where the Morocco wall should stand for a free kick
FIFA began to behave in a hostile manner, ignoring me, pretending I did not exist and claiming that I had no patents.
In December a court in Rio de Janeiro acknowledged Allemagne’s patent and ordered FIFA to stop using the spray in any of its competitions or risk a fine of £10,000 per game.
FIFA has appealed that decision three times, claiming that there was no proof of any patents.
The Brazilian judge, Ricardo Lafayette Campos, wrote that the existence of patents was beyond doubt.
Each of those appeals has been unsuccessful – meaning that for every game in this World Cup in which the spray is used, FIFA is technically in danger of committing a criminal offence under international law.
For its part, the organisation’s lawyers argue that FIFA doesn’t fall under the jurisdiction of Brazilian courts.
Allemagne first came up with the idea for his spray in 2000 while watching a football match at home in Ituiutaba, Brazil.
“The commentator said something during the broadcast [about keeping the wall back],” he remembered. “I thought at that moment that I will resolve this.”

Allemagne needed to ensure his new spray wouldn’t vanish as fast as shaving foam
Using shaving foam to draw a line on the pitch came to him immediately – but the problem was how to ensure the spray would vanish again after a minute.
Working with a local cosmetics company he developed a vegetable oilbased formula and in 2002 patented the concept.
There followed a decade of relentless promotion as Allemagne invested everything he had in his invention. He teamed up with Argentine business partner Pablo Silva, named the product 9.15 Fair Play – after the correct metric distance players must retreat from the ball at a free kick – and slowly it began to become a standard part of a referee’s kit.
In 2012, by now heavily in debt, he finally got the breakthrough he had been working for.
FIFA invited him to discuss its use at its Switzerland headquarters in a meeting that included Julio Grondona and Angel Villar, president of the Referees’ Committee.
The following year it was announced it would be used in the 2014 World Cup. This was to be the moment Allemagne, who had grown up in poverty selling lollipops on the streets of Ituiutaba, would complete his extraordinary rags-to-riches fairytale.
When FIFA made its $ 500,000 offer just months before the competition kicked off he rejected it, saying now: “It was an offensive and indecent offer, it did not even pay for patent costs.”
He was also confident that after his invention was given its moment on the global stage he could name a price in the tens of millions.
As a mark of good faith he even offered FIFA 300 complimentary cans for the competition. “The sprays for the World Cup were given for free,” he says.
“FIFA only gave me two tickets for the final of the World Cup…”
The spray was every bit as successful as he hoped, prompting FIFA former secretary general Jerome Valcke to write to Allemagne to say its use was a “great success for all the stakeholders involved and has certainly added to the fair play aspect of our game.”
That appears to have been the last civil words between them.
“A month after the World Cup, Julio Grondona died,” says Allemagne. “FIFA began to behave in a hostile manner, ignoring me, pretending I did not exist and claiming that I had no patents.
“Worse, FIFA invited companies to make pirate copies of the spray that I had spent 15 years developing and for which I held the patent.”
As versions of Allemagne’s spray – now manufactured by several other companies – have become standard in matches across the world, the fortunes of its inventor have fallen.
After racking up huge debts getting 9.15 Fair Play off the ground, Allemagne has been left destitute, forced to take a job on a coffee farm 150 miles away from the family home in the hills of Brazil’s Minas Gerais state just to make ends meet.
But even as the rich and powerful FIFA executives toast the climax of another successful and lucrative World Cup, for Heine Allemagne the battle is not over.
“The judge banned the use of spray in football,” he says.
“The spray in the World Cup is breaking the law. FIFA is committing a crime. What the world is seeing is a television theft worldwide.”
When reporters asked Macron on Thursday if the problem with Trump was that he “didn’t care” about being isolated, Macron struck a hostile tone, reminding the media that no president “is forever.”
“The six countries of the G7 without the United States, are a bigger market taken together than the American market,” Macron said, standing alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. “Maybe the American president doesn’t care about being isolated today, but we don’t mind being six, if needs be.”
Macron’s comments come as the leaders of the G7 countries are preparing to meet at a trade summit in Canada, which analysts expect will turn into a showdown on trade deals, given Trump’s repeated insistence that the US has the “worst trade deals ever made.”
The French leader also slammed Trump’s recent decision to impose import tariffs on steel and aluminum from Europe, Canada and Mexico.
“I would like to say Mr. Trump that the measures taken are counterproductive. We can’t engage in a trade war against friends,” he said while branding the US move as “unilateral and illegal.”
“A trade war doesn’t spare anyone. It will start first of all to hurt US workers, and the cost of raw materials will rise, and industries will become less competitive,” Macron warned.
Macron had previously attempted to strike a more conciliatory tone with Trump and was even dubbed the “Trump whisperer” by some in the media. Now, he went on to say there would be no “world hegemony” and that the six other countries, excluding the US, represent “a real force at the international level” today.
Isn’t it Ironic? Getting ready to go to the G-7 in Canada to fight for our country on Trade (we have the worst trade deals ever made), then off to Singapore to meet with North Korea & the Nuclear Problem…But back home we still have the 13 Angry Democrats pushing the Witch Hunt!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 7, 2018
The increasingly hostile public tone follows a phone conversation last week between Macron and Trump, which sources told CNN was “really bad” and “terrible.” Asked to comment on those reports, Macron compared the call to “sausage-making” and quoted the 19th-century Prussian statesman Otto von Bismarck, who famously said that “if we explained to people how sausages were made, it’s unlikely they’d keep eating them.”
“So I like it when people see the finished meal, but I’m not convinced the kitchen commentary helps with delivering the meal or eating it,” Macron said.
Despite early hopes, Macron has not had the influence on Trump that some were expecting. He was forced to watch on as the president dropped out of the Paris climate accord and tore up the Iran nuclear deal, which Europe had desperately hoped the US would abide by. Trump’s move to impose tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum from the European Union, Canada and Mexico seems to have been the last straw, however.
Maybe it all started to go downhill during a French state visit to Washington in April, when Trump publicly brushed a “little piece of dandruff” off the French president’s jacket, announcing to reporters in the room that it was just an attempt to “make him perfect.”
Trump should not prevent ‘other people’ from keeping Iran deal
Macron also said today, that the US should not prevent other nations from keeping the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, warning Washington against pushing Iran itself out of the agreement.
“If you are not comfortable with the agreement [on Iran] signed by your predecessor, do not prevent other people from keeping it and do not push Iran out of it. That is the best option we have today,” Macron said during the joint press conference with Trudeau.
However, the French leader apparently did not also rule out amending the deal by what he called reaching a “broader agreement” with the Islamic Republic, which would particularly cover its activities in the region. “We will have to work all together on a broader agreement with Iran and [other] countries in the region, our allies,” he said, apparently referring to the Gulf monarchies.
“We have to look at the future there, we have to look at what happens in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon and we have to find a way to work in this extremely tense context,” he added. At the same time, the president also praised Trump’s decision to hold a meeting with the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
“We will all be behind him [Trump] and will support him in this essential initiative and in the fight for the global denuclearization,” Macron said, commenting on the issue, adding the caveat that he wanted Trump to be “credible on the nuclear situation in Iran” as well.

Two men from Rome were arrested by Merseyside Police on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was left with serious injuries following an incident ahead of Liverpool’s 5-2 win over Roma at Anfield.
Police said in a statement that a 53-year-old man from Ireland had suffered a head injury and was in a critical condition in hospital.
And it led to a backlash from football supporters who have called on Roma to be expelled from the competition before the second leg.
One wrote: “Roma should be kicked out of champions league and banned for a few years scummy fans they have.”
Another tweeted: “Disgraceful and unacceptable behaviour, Roma should be kicked out of the competition now as a punishment to these idiot fans.”
“Roma should be ashamed and kicked out of the champions league they only have their fans to blame!!!” added another.
UEFA have form for banning clubs from their top competition.
Only this week, Greece’s oldest football club Panathinaikos were banned for three seasons for failing to pay their debts.
UEFA today moved to condemn the attack and released a statement where they pledged to “deciding on potential disciplinary charges” imminently.
A UEFA statement read: “UEFA is deeply shocked by the vile attack that occurred ahead of the Liverpool FC v AS Roma match and our thoughts are with the victim and his family.
“The perpetrators of this ignominious attack have no place in and around football and we trust they will be dealt with utmost severity by the authorities.
“UEFA is waiting to receive full reports before deciding on potential disciplinary charges.”
Liverpool, who won the match 5-2, said they had been in touch with the emergency services and would offer any support they could to the fan and his family.
“Liverpool Football Club is shocked and appalled after a Liverpool supporter was left in a critical condition having been attacked prior to the Champions League fixture against AS Roma,” the club said on their website.
“Our thoughts, in the first instance, are with the victim and his family at this very traumatic time.”
Television images from the BBC showed groups of youths fighting outside the stadium before the game, with one person seen lying in the street receiving attention while fighting continued. One male was filmed carrying a hammer.
There were also violent scenes before Liverpool’s Champions League quarter-final game against Manchester City at Anfield earlier this month, when the home supporters attacked the visiting team’s bus with bottles, cans and flares which resulted in the Merseyside club being charged by UEFA.
The police added: “We believe the victim was in Liverpool with his brother for the Liverpool v Roma semi-final and was assaulted during an altercation between Roma and Liverpool fans near to the Albert pub at about 7.35pm.
“Witnesses report that the victim was hit with a belt and then fell to the ground.”

During a flight, the cabin crew have a lot of responsibility to ensure the journey goes off without a hitch. This includes ensuring there are no hold ups inside the cabin and keeping all passengers on board safe.
However, with such diverse group of people crammed into a small space, it is not surprising things often go astray.
With tight safety measures high in the sky, flight attendants work to a strict no-nonsense policy with the important of ‘safety first’ drilled into them during training.
It, therefore, comes as no surprise that there is a lot of behaviour that is not tolerated on board with one action, in particular, causing an instant removal of the passenger from the aircraft.
When speaking to the Business Insider, one flight attendant, Annette Long, explained that the cabin crew just want to get on with their job without any disruptions. She said: ”We all just want to get on the plane and get where we’re going.”
”My job isn’t to enforce stuff — it’s to let you know that there are certain things that you can’t cross the line on — so don’t make me pull this plane over,” she added.
This attitude is needed when thousands of miles up as a dangerous passenger could affect the entire cabin, especially when passengers turn on the flight attendants.
In fact being aggressive towards any member of plane staff will cause the passenger to be instantly escorted off the plane.
“Disrespect to a crew member, whether verbal or physical” is not tolerated under any circumstances explained the flight attendant.
They crew member went on to add “If you cuss at a flight attendant, it’s immediately considered a threat, and if we’re still in the boarding process, there’s a good chance you’ll be taking the next flight.”
Alcohol is a big factor for flight disruption and delays. If a passenger is considered to have drunk too much before boarding the plane, the pilot will not take off until the passenger has been removed.
There is also a correlation between alcohol and abusive passengers as flight attendants have revealed drunk passengers are not allowed on board as there is no knowing what their behaviour will be once cabin pressure changes.
Similarly, anyone who deliberately ignores instructions from the flight attendants will not be allowed to fly.
This disregard for the rules could be as basic as refusing to do your seat belt when asked but, if the action is likely to cause a delay to the flight, the passengers will more often than not be removed.
However, Long revealed that the decision to actually remove the passenger does not lie with the cabin crew.
The flight and the decisions regarding passengers removal lie with the pilot of the aircraft.
Long explained: ” I don’t make those decisions. I convey the information to the cockpit and the chief flight attendant, and they make the decision about whether or not we’re going to land and get someone off the plane.”
