That is according to French football expert Julien Laurens, who thinks a deal could happen.

Draxler has been linked with a possible loan move to Liverpool in the January transfer window.

However, Laurens believes PSG want to sell the 24-year-old to help comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, after they spent a world-record £200million on Neymar in the summer.

“I’m not sure about the loan. I think they might have to sell him because of the rules of Financial Fair Play,” he told ESPN FC.

“We know how much they have spent in the summer and although the news this week has been pretty positive coming from UEFA and Financial Faiy Play. 

“But they still feel like they need to sell in January to balance the books even more if you want. 

“Draxler is probably the player with the highest value in that squad along with Angel Di Maria and you could easily see one of them two, plus Lucas Moura, or Hatem Ben Arfa being sold in the winter in January. 

“I think Draxler has a lot of clubs that like him, Liverpool for example. 

“It was either PSG or Liverpool when he joined a bit more than a year ago and he chose PSG. So maybe Liverpool is an option for him. 

“I think going back to Germany might be an option, Bayern Munich for example need players who can play wide because (Arjen) Robben and (Franck) Ribery obviously are not getting any younger. 

“I think he will have the choice if he wants to go.”

Draxler has scored 12 goals in 39 games for PSG.

Meghan Markle, 36, may be engaged to Prince Harry, 32, as Britons await news of a potential engagement after the pair’s recent holiday to Botswana. 

Now an internationally renowned fashion designer has described how he would design Meghan’s dress, exclusively to Express.co.uk.

Julien Macdonald, 46-year-old Welsh designer, was named “British Fashion Designer of the Year”, and on 15 March 2001, was appointed as chief designer at Givenchy , after Alexander McQueen.

Describing Meghan’s style, Julien said: “I think she has a great style, very classic, very chic, very glamorous.”

The designer, who was at one point tipped to design Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, explained he would envisage Meghan’s dress as ‘dreamy and romantic’.

However, he added it is very important to work one on one with the bride to make the dress something she has always envisioned on the big day.

Julien said: “I would work with her for her desired look I think it would be very dreamy and romantic, I think it would be my job in interpreting her dream dress.”

Julien is known for glamorous and high-octane designs, and has sent a wedding dress worth £4 million down the catwalk. 

The dress, which appeared in the SS15 collection in 2014, including the diamond-encrusted wedding gown.

Bookies has Julien at 6-1 to design Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, however, the Duchess chose head of Alexander McQueen Sarah Burton.

Many, many A-listers have worn Julien’s designs, including Jennifer Lopez, Gigi Hadid and Taylor Swift.

So if Meghan chooses a dress by Julien she will be in the Hollywood company that she is used to.

Many have speculated over the ring Prince Harry will choose for Meghan.

Royal watchers have noted previous royals are not choosing plain diamonds, but instead flaunting coloured jewels.

The most famous of these is Princess Diana’s, a sapphire, which she chose herself from the Garrard catalogue in 1981. It was worth £28,000 at the time.

Prince Harry inherited this ring on his mother’s death in 1997, but gave it to his brother to propose to Kate Middleton with in 2010.

In his first public statements since being dismissed on Tuesday, former Montreal Canadiens coach Michel Therrien made it clear he wants the franchise to succeed under new bench boss Claude Julien.

“I would first like to thank the Montreal Canadiens organization, especially [owner] Geoff Molson and [general manager] Marc Bergevin, for the experience of five remarkable years,” Therrien said through a press release on Thursday.

“I leave with my head held high,” he said. “I am very proud of the work accomplished over the past five years. The current team can aspire to great honours, and I wish my colleague Claude Julien every success in the future.”

Under Therrien, the Canadiens opened the season with a 13-1-1 mark but have been listless over the last two months and have a 2-6-1 record in their last nine games. There was fear of another collapse like last season, when the club went from first place to out of the playoffs after star goalie Carey Price was injured.

Julien, 56, returns for his second stint as Montreal’s head coach. He also took over after Therrien was fired for the first time in January 2003. Julien, who guided the Boston Bruins to the Stanley Cup title in 2011, was fired by the team on Feb. 7.

Therrien said he harbours no ill will for be being let go by the franchise, and acknowledges the pressure that goes with coaching a prestigious hockey club.

“The Montreal Canadiens have always been a great organization, and recent events in no way change my perception of the team and its management,” said Therrien.

“Being an NHL coach is a tough job: it is gratifying on many levels but it can also quickly become a thankless task. When a team is experiencing difficulties, any head coach knows his job is on the line. I understand and accept this reality. I would like to thank fans in Montreal and across Quebec, as well as members of the media. I also salute the coaches and staff I have worked with over the years and, above all, the many players whom I had the privilege of coaching.”

The Montreal Canadiens officially announced Claude Julien as their new head coach today after hiring him to replace the fired Michel Therrien.

“We’re getting one of the best coaches in the NHL,” Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin said of Julien at Wednesday’s news conference in Brossard, Que.

It’s the 13th time Montreal has made a midseason coaching change and it’s the first time since the Ottawa Senators in 2008 that a team replaced its coach while leading a division. The 31-19-8 Canadiens entered play Wednesday atop the Atlantic, six points ahead of the Senators, who have four games in hand.

​The Canadiens opened the season with a 13-1-1 mark but have been listless over the last two months, going 18-18-7 since and 2-6-1 record in their last nine games.

“We were not playing our game, there was something missing” Bergevin said of the team’s recent play. “Yes, we had some injuries but you know how tight the NHL is today. There were signs something was not going right.”

​Julien, 56, returns for his second stint as Montreal’s head coach. He also took over after Therrien was fired for the first time in January 2003. Julien was let go three years later after compiling a 72-62-10-15 record.

After a brief stint with New Jersey, Julien thrived in Boston, taking the Bruins to a Stanley Cup title in 2011 and reaching the final two years later. He was named the NHL’s coach of the year in 2009, is the winningest coach in Bruins history with 388 victories and has 997 career NHL regular-season wins.

But Boston missed the playoffs in each of the last two years and Julien was fired last week with the Bruins again struggling for a post-season spot.

Bergevin said Wednesday he didn’t base his decision to fire Therrien on Boston parting ways with Julien, who ranks seventh among active NHL coaches with a .603 win percentage.

Under Therrien, Montreal missed the playoffs last year after a hot start, with a serious injury to star goalie Carey Price contributing to the team’s collapse.

The Canadiens host Winnipeg on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET.

Only five coaches have steered their teams to two Stanley Cup finals in the past six seasons: Joel Quenneville (2013, 2014-15), Darryl Sutter (2011-12, 2013-14), Claude Julien (2010-11, 2013), Alain Vigneault (2010-11, 2013-14) and Peter DeBoer (2011-12, 2015-16).

So if you’re a general manager and you have an all-world goalie like Carey Price, an aging roster by today’s standards with seven 30-and-over players, and your club is struggling big time, why not snap up the first available coach from this select group?

That’s what Montreal Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin did on Tuesday afternoon in firing Michel Therrien and replacing him with Julien, who was let go by the Boston Bruins a week ago.

Bergevin watched his Habs begin the season beautifully with a 13-1-1 run. But they squandered that start with a .500 record over the next three months and watched the Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins, Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Rangers soar past them in the Eastern Conference standings.

Montreal’s play has been particularly alarming over the last seven games with only one win — a 5-4 overtime victory against the 29th-place Arizona Coyotes.

On Sunday, the Habs were listless in a 4-0 loss in Boston. It was the Canadiens’ final outing before their mandated five-day break. Bergevin immediately took action in asking the Bruins for permission to chat with the 56-year-old Julien.

Julien then was swiftly hired to replace Therrien — the same scenario that played out in Montreal in January 2003 when Julien was summoned from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs to replace Therrien.

In his second go-around with the Canadiens, Julien will run his first practice on Friday before his first game at the Bell Centre on Saturday afternoon against the Winnipeg Jets.

Be like Mike

In a perfect hockey world, Bergevin hopes that Julien can provide the sort of lift Mike Sullivan did when he replaced Mike Johnston last season and led the Pittsburgh Penguins to a Stanley Cup championship.

Before Sullivan’s turnaround, there was Sutter in 2011-12 with the Los Angeles Kings when he replaced Terry Murray. Before Sutter, there was Dan Bylsma, who successfully replaced Therrien in Pittsburgh in 2008-09 to also win a title.

If Bergevin needed more recent evidence, all he had to do was look at the effect fresh coaching faces have had on the New York Islanders, St. Louis Blues and Bruins.

The Islanders have gone 8-3-2 under Doug Weight, while Mike Yeo has a 5-1-0 record in St. Louis and Bruce Cassidy has gone 3-0-0 in replacing Julien in Boston.

Julien may not have the same immediate impact in Montreal. Sure, he’s familiar with the Canadiens’ personnel, having coached against them for the past 10 seasons with Boston.

But unlike Weight, Yeo and Cassidy — all assistant coaches who were promoted by their respective teams — Julien will need time to get an up-close-and-personal view on his new team.

Learning curve

The Islanders, Blues and Bruins are each different situations. But a common thread is there was continuity in that the head coach was replaced by one of the team’s assistants.

As a result, Weight, Yeo and Cassidy didn’t need much time to figure out their personnel. This reduced their learning curve and allowed them to focus on tweaks to their systems.

Players also talk to assistant coaches on a daily basis. Assistant coaches know the mood of the team, the temperature of the group. So Weight, Yeo and Cassidy had a sense of what the tone and delivery of their message needed to be in order to get the players to buy in and turn the corner.

How long this effect lasts in Brooklyn, St. Louis and Boston remains to be seen. In Montreal, Julien may need more time.

But he’s a respected voice behind the bench. You can bet Price has called his Olympic teammate Patrice Bergeron for the 411 on Montreal’s new coach. Ditto for United States teammates Max Pacioretty and David Backes.

In the end, this will be a good move for Montreal, especially come playoff time. The Canadiens have 24 regular-season games remaining. Sullivan was 4-6-2 in his first dozen games behind the Penguins bench before Pittsburgh got rolling.

Give Julien time and the Canadiens will be better off, too.

The Boston Bruins fired Stanley Cup-winning coach Claude Julien on Tuesday as the team was in danger of missing the playoffs for a third straight season.

He was the longest-tenured coach in the NHL.

General manager Don Sweeney announced the change on Tuesday, naming assistant Bruce Cassidy the interim coach. Boston has lost two in a row and six of nine and has fallen out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Julien was 419-246-94 in 10 seasons that included two trips to the NHL finals and a Stanley Cup title in 2011. The Bruins lost in the finals two years later, and the year after that earned 117 points and the Presidents’ Trophy before losing in the conference semifinals to archrival Montreal.

But in 2014-15, Boston was eliminated from the playoff race on the final day of the regular season — the first time in Julien’s tenure they sat out the playoffs. Again last year, the Bruins had a chance to reach the playoffs heading into the final week, but they lost nine of their last 12 games to finish ninth in the Eastern Conference.

The Bruins hadn’t kept a coach who missed the playoffs two straight years since 1965, when Milt Schmidt was given a third year before he was replaced by Harry Sinden.

Julien was spared in 2015 when team president Cam Neely decided to fire general manager Peter Chiarelli instead, replacing him with Sweeney. Sweeney gave Julien another chance, saying “He’s the coach of the Boston Bruins as of today, for sure.”

Julien said at the time that he had little room for error.

“It just means that I’m probably the next one to fall off the totem pole, right?” the former Canadiens and Devils coach said last summer. “I’m going to try to make it last as long as I can.”

Again last summer, the Bruins spared him, with Sweeney saying Julien was the right coach to guide the team through a “bumpy transition.”

“We’ve got work to do; I’ve got work to do,” Sweeney said after the team missed the playoffs last year. “There’s no question that we have areas we want to address and collectively we’ve already started to assess that.”

Last season, Julien became the all-time Bruins leader for wins by a coach. He is the fourth NHL coach to be fired this season.
