Ljubicic reached a career-high of world No 3 and won ten titles in his career before retiring in 2012. Milos Raonic was the first player the Croatian coached and their relationship lasted two years before he became Federer’s coach in 2016. Under Ljubicic’s helm, Federer has enjoyed a remarkable resurgence winning three Grand Slam titles, including the recent Australian Open. Federer’s long-term coach has been Severin Luthi but he has co-coached the 20-time Grand Slam champion with Ljubicic. And the two coaches were in the stands in Rotterdam as Federer became the oldest world No 1 in men’s history. But Ljubicic says his coaching methods are based around listening to the player to get the best from them. He told ATPWorldTour.com: “When you talk about coaching at the highest level, you have to listen a lot. “The most important thing is to understand a player. Listen at the beginning, but then listening in general to understand and ultimately help a player. “When you start with a player in the middle of a season, such as Milos, you can’t step in and say, ‘I want to change everything, because this is how I did it.’ I feel that it doesn’t work like that. “You see, if you are coaching a player, who has been around for a while, he has his own patterns and ideas. “His own opinions on a lot of stuff, and you have to pick your fights on what you think will have the biggest impact on a game or the result.” Arsenal are hoping to bring in Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to offset Alexis Sanchez’s departure to Manchester United. The Gunners have already made one offer for the Gabon international which was confirmed by Dortmund’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke this week. Express Sportunderstands negotiations are likely to drag on as the German club want £55million for the 28-year-old. And Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has since been spotted in Dortmund as he attempts to get a deal over the line. The Gunners chief was seen with negotiator Huss Fahmy and chief scout Sven Mislantat who recently joined the north London club from the German side. Dortmund are thought to be keen to sell Aubameyang due to a string of disciplinary problems this term. “At some point you can’t tolerate it any more,” the club’s sporting director Michael Zorc said this week. “I don’t know what’s going on inside his head. “We had a very contentious discussion today. We’re not used to this behaviour from him. “What is going on now is not to be tolerated by the club. It is clear, It cannot go on like this. I don’t know what is going through his mind. I don’t recognise him anymore. “There is trouble in the team and that is not good.” However, despite his disciplinary problems, Arsene Wenger suggested it would not be an issue and welcome his ‘character’ in the Gunners’ dressing room. When asked if he would fit in at Arsenal, Wenger replied: “Yes because character can be very positive and very negative. “Overall you look at the achievement of a player over their career and usually his character has been used in a positive way.”

Back in November last year, we heard that Creed 2 might be looking for someone to play the son of Ivan Drago, the legendary boxer responsible for killing Apollo Creed in the ring at the beginning of Rocky IV in 1985. At the time, an MMA fighter named Sage Northcutt said that he sent in a tape as an audition for the role, but there had been no real confirmation that the spin-off sequel starring Michael B. Jordan would bring in the offspring of another legacy character. Now not only do we have confirmation of the character’s involvement in the sequel, but we know who’s playing him as well, and it’s not the aforementioned MMA fighter.
Get the details on the Creed 2 casting of Ivan Drago’s son below.
The Tracking Board first reported (with confirmation followed by Sylvester Stallone on Instagram) that boxer Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu has been cast as the son of Ivan Drago, who hasn’t yet been given a name for us to call him. If the image above wasn’t enough to convince you that this guy is going to be quite the formidable opponent, just like Dolph Lundgren was back in 1985, check out this video:
That video might as well be the training montage that we see intercut with Michael B. Jordan preparing to take him on in the ring. The guy is a beast, and even if Adonis (Johnson) Creed brings that taste for revenge with him, this fight still won’t be easy.
When it comes to casting opponents for the Creed franchise, I’m glad that producer Sylvester Stallone and director Steven Caple Jr. (The Land) have kept the trend of casting real life fighters. It adds authenticity to the proceedings, but perhaps even more impressive is that Jordan fits right in with their physique and moves in the ring.
Both Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren will be back for Creed 2, which is being written by Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker, and it’ll be interesting to see how those two behave when they see each other again. Stallone will have to hold back a bit if only to be the voice of reason for Adonis, who will undoubtedly have more than a bone to pick with the son of Drago. But hopefully Tessa Thompson as Bianca can help in that department.
The first Creed was a surprisingly great continuance of the legacy of Rocky Balboa, so hopefully the sequel can keep the momentum going and deliver a story worth telling.
Creed 2 is slated to hit theaters on November 21, 2018.

Murray announced earlier this evening that he would be parting company with Lendl ahead of the 2018 season.
But Dimitrov, who works with Murray’s former coach Dani Vallverdu, believes they could be reunited at any point.
“It’s not their first time splitting up anyways,” Dimitrov said.
“Maybe it’s just a temporary thing.
“I don’t know what’s going on in his team.”
Murray has now twice split with Lendl but will continue to work with Jamie Delgado as he moves towards recovery from injury.
The Brit ended his season after being knocked out of Wimbledon while dealing with a serious hip problem.
But he appears to be close to a comeback after playing an exhibition against Roger Federer in Glasgow earlier this month.
And Dimitrov added that he would happily see Murray back on court – with or without Lendl.
“Obviously I can wish him only the best,” Dimitrov said.
“I hope he has a speedy recovery.
“I miss playing against him.
“I miss practicing against him.
“Hopefully has a speedy recovery, probably see him next year at some point.”
Murray said in a statement on his website: “I’m thankful to Ivan for all his help and guidance over the years, we’ve had great success and learned a lot as a team.
“My focus now is on getting ready for Australia with the team I have in place and getting back to competing.”
Murray, who has missed the second half of the season with a hip injury, had rekindled his relationship with Lendl.
The Scot, who played in an exhibition earlier this month against Roger Federer, has been trying to build up his fitness ahead of the Australian Open which gets underway in January.
The 30-year-old, who recently dropped to 16 in the world rankings, had worked with Lendl over two separate periods.
On going his separate ways from Lendl, Murray said in a statement published on his official website: “I’m thankful to Ivan for all his help and guidance over the years, we’ve had great success and learned a lot as a team.
“My focus now is on getting ready for Australia with the team I have in place and getting back to competing.”
Lendl, meanwhile, paid tribute to Murray following his departure.
He said: “I wish Andy well going forward.
“We had a great run and a lot of fun.”
During their time together, Murray collected three Grand Slam titles, won two Olympic golds and reached No1 in the world rankings.
Lendl previously split up from Murray after deciding he didn’t want to continue touring.
It remains unclear yet as to who will coach Murray, however he has a solid team behind him, which includes Jamie Delgado, who began working with him in February 2016.
Murray is currently at his Miami training base and will be hoping to make inroads into the top four in 2018.
Ryan Coogler’s outstanding 2015 film Creed was all about legacy: a son stepping out of his father’s shadow with the help of one of his old man’s best friends and most famous rival. That friend happened to be boxing legend Rocky Balboa, and since Coogler is busy with Black Panther, Rocky actor Sylvester Stallone is stepping behind the camerato direct Creed 2, which he’s been heavily teasing on Instagram over the past few months.
Stallone hinted that Dolph Lundgren‘s Ivan Drago might return to the franchise in some capacity, and we wondered if that meant Lundgren would step back into the ring or return to train a new character. Now, a UFC fighter has revealed that he’s auditioned to play Drago’s son in the film, so it seems as if the sequel will continue that thematic exploration of legacy that began in Creed.
In an interview with MMAFighting.com (via Uproxx), a 21-year-old MMA fighter named Sage Northcutt explained that he put himself on film in the hopes of locking down the part of Ivan Drago’s son in Creed 2:
“The new Creed 2 movie is coming out so I was actually going to audition for that. Got a little audition tape, so hopefully that goes through. That would be pretty neat. Being Ivan Drago’s son in the movie? That would be pretty fun. Sylvester Stallone seems like a really cool guy, and Dolph Lundgren seems awesome. I think me and Mr. Dolph Lundgren look kind of alike.”
Kid’s got a point there. Here’s a Photoshopped image of him:

But even the real version looks like a good fit for a young Drago:

It’s still unclear to me whether or not the part of Drago’s son is actually in the Creed 2 script. There’s always the chance Northcutt sent in an audition tape based on nothing more than rumors he read online. But Lundgren is 60 years old, and seeing Ivan Drago go head-to-head against a far younger Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) makes less sense than the notion of Drago training his son to fight the younger Creed.
Before Stallone took over the director’s chair, there were rumors that Coogler wanted to use digital de-aging to include flashbacks to Rocky and Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) in their prime, so if that story element makes it through pre-production, maybe Lundgren will reprise his role as a younger version of himself. Either way, Stallone is notoriously open on social media, so it shouldn’t be too long before we hear more about this from the man himself.
Creed 2 hits theaters on November 21, 2018.

Manchester United have signed Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic this summer.
However, Jose Mourinho still wants to add a winger to his ranks as he aims to win the club a first Premier League title since 2013.
In recent weeks, talk has been rife that Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale could make a sensational return to England.
But, with Real, Mourinho and Bale himself rubbishing those claims, it appears Mourinho is looking elsewhere.
Before the Bale talk resurfaced, Inter Milan star Perisic was widely expected to move to Old Trafford.
And, despite negotiations previously coming to a halt, The Mirror say an agreement between both United and Inter is now close.
Red Devils chief executive Ed Woodward has supposedly met with the winger’s agent, Fali Ramadani, to try and resurrect the deal.
Now, following successful talks, United are now set to finally meet Inter’s £48million asking price.
The Mirror add United had failed with two bids earlier in the summer.
However, Chelsea legend Hernan Crespo can see the Croatia international joining Chelsea instead.
“It’s possible he joins Chelsea – but he plays on the left and on the left you have Eden Hazard, Perisic and Marcos Alonso.
“Maybe he could come in through the middle or to the right.
“Perisic is a good player but I don’t know if Inter wants to sell. I think ‘no’ but it depends on money. It’s always the same. It depends on money.
“If you put a lot of money down, even Inter will sell him, but they don’t want to sell him.”
The San Siro club are willing to hand their winger a mega pay rise to block his switch to the Premier League.
Manchester United want to sign Perisic but have so far not met Inter’s £48million release clause.
Reports yesterday claimed United have until Friday next week to make a suitable offer or Inter will take Perisic off the market.
The Croatia international is Jose Mourinho’s top transfer target heading into the last month of the window.
But Inter are determined to keep their man and will rewards him handsomely for his loyalty.
That is according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who claim the 28-year-old has been offered a new four-year deal worth £5.42m a season.
Over the course of the contract he can expect to pick up £21.7m.
And that boils down to just over £104,000 a week – a significant pay rise for the player.
Perisic’s current deal lasts until 2020, so Inter are under no pressure to sell their star just yet.
Mourinho has targeted the winger as he seeks to add firepower to his new-look attacking unit this season.
Romelu Lukaku is the £75m arrival from Everton who will spearhead the attack, with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard all vying for starting places.
There are reports Martial himself could be used in some sort of deal to bring Perisic to Old Trafford, although there has been little progress on that proposal.
The Brazil international has made all the headlines in recent weeks with Barca actively pursuing him.
Jurgen Klopp insists he won’t be sold but Barca are determined to break the bank to sign him and view the 25-year-old as a replacement for Paris Saint-Germain target Neymar.
Reports in Spain earlier today suggested the Reds would only consider doing business with the Catalan giants if they came in with an offer of €120million (£107m).
Barca will try to offer Arda Turan or Denis Suarez in part of any swap deal but Jurgen Klopp has bigger ambitions.
Spanish publication Don Balon claim Liverpool want star midfielder Rakitic to be included in any potential move.
Rakitic has been one of the key players behind Barca’s success since joining from Sevilla in 2014, making 100 La Liga appearances.
But with Ernesto Valverde arriving in the summer and the former Athletic Bilbao boss keen to bring fresh talent into his midfield, Rakitic could be set for less playing time at the Nou Camp.
The report adds Rakitic is a fan of Klopp’s work and the German would guarantee him a starring role at Anfield.
And with Liverpool holding all the cards in negotiations for Coutinho, it will now be down to Barca to decide whether to sell Rakitic in order to land their top target.
Rakitic, who only signed a new long-term deal in March, is under contract with Barca until 2021.
Update: This past weekend, Sylvester Stallone posted a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #drago, which is yet another piece of confirmation that a member of the Drago family will be a character in Creed 2. Read our original article from July 5 below for speculation about how this might play out in the sequel.
Ever since Creed hit theaters in the fall of 2015, surprising us all with just how outstanding a spin-off of Rocky could be, fans have been wondering when/if a sequel would come together. Though MGM CEO Gary Barber once mentioned that he would like to get a Creed sequel together for release in November of this year, that’s certainly not happening. But that doesn’t mean the prospect of a sequel is dead altogether.
Sylvester Stallone has been taking to Instagram over the past couple of weeks with some interesting nostalgic posts that seem to hint at what’s in store for Creed 2. In fact, one of them seems to flat-out confirm what kind of territory the story could be heading, and it includes a face from the past who could really make things interesting.
Back on June 25, Sylvester Stallone posted a rare picture from behind the scenes of Rocky IV:
Notice that he included a Creed 2 hashtag there at the end? He got even less subtle with the next post:
Directing APOLLO AND DRAGO , The two best “cinema “boxers that ever lived!… Maybe it’s time to try to again? A post shared by Sly Stallone (@officialslystallone) on
And just in case fans didn’t pick up on it with those two previous posts, he made this one over the weekend:
If you’re not as up to snuff on the history of Rocky on the big screen, Ivan Drago is the Russian boxer played by Dolph Lundgren who was brought into the ring in Rocky IV in 1985. At the beginning of the boxing sequel, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) came out of retirement to challenge Ivan Drago, who believes he can’t be beat. Rocky Balboa (Stallone) is by Creed’s side as his fight promoter and friend. Rocky ends up being somewhat responsible for Creed’s death as he chooses not to throw in the towel – Drago delivers a blow to the Creed’s head that kills him instantly.
The history between these characters would make for quite the set-up if Ivan Drago were to return to the ring for a Creed sequel. Surely the young Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) would have more than a few blows that he would like to land on the man who killed his father, but he will likely need more than just anger to defeat such a finely tuned fighter.
Now the question is whether Sylvester Stallone is really teasing the return of Ivan Drago in Creed 2, or merely testing the waters to see if fans are interested in seeing the character return to the franchise. After all, it’s been 32 years since Ivan Drago was a threat in the ring, and Dolph Lundgren isn’t exactly the young, chiseled athlete he was all those years ago. Perhaps we’ll see another legacy fighter enter the ring by having Ivan Drago’s son as a boxer to challenge Adonis this time.
Another possibility is seeing a series of flashbacks throughout Creed 2. Back when it was unclear whether director Ryan Coogler would come back to direct the sequel about a year and a half ago, Sylvester Stallone mentioned an idea the filmmaker had to go back and forth in time, showing Adonis Johnson today juxtaposed with scenes looking back at Rocky and Apollo Creed during their glory days. That might include bringing back Dolph Lundgren as Ivan Drago and using visual effects to de-age the actor.
As of now, there’s no indication as to when Creed 2 might come together. We might get to see director Ryan Coogler get back behind the camera, especially since there’s a good chance he’ll be done with Black Panther by the time the sequel is ready to get off the ground. Stay tuned to see what happens with Creed 2 as more information becomes available.
