The Masked Singer will be masked no more come Wednesday’s Season 4 finale (Fox, 9/8c), so now’s the time to lock in your guesses about Crocodile, Mushroom and Sun! In our opinion, this season of the really odd reality show has had the toughest, most misdirecting clues in the show’s history. But it’s also had some of the series’ best performances (we’re still thinking about Seahorse/Tori Kelly’s gorgeous rendition of “My Heart Will Go On”) and one of its weirdest firsts (Mickey Rourke’s Gremlin stunt, anyone?). And when you think about it, we know quite a lot about the Final Three. If you’ve been paying close attention through all of their pre-performance video packages, on-stage clue drops and interviews, there’s a good chance you’ve already nailed down the identities of the last singers standing. Congrats! And if you haven’t, well, that’s what we’re here for. All season long, TVLine has paid rapt attention to The Masked Singer‘s many clues, and we’ve locked in our guesses about who’s underneath the last three (really giant) costume heads. And here’s where you come in. The season finale this coming Wednesday (following a “Road to the Finals” episode that airs at 8 pm) will crown a new winner. And ahead of that big moment, we’ve gathered as many clues as we could get our hands on to help you try to figure out who’s who underneath that unwieldy wardrobe. This is the last call for the season, so flip through the gallery above, then make sure to get your final guesses on the record by logging them in the comments below!

The New York attorney general’s office is widening an investigation into fraudulent net neutrality comments, saying it estimates that up to 9.5 million comments were submitted using stolen identities.
NY AG Barbara Underwood “subpoenaed more than a dozen telecommunications trade groups, lobbying contractors, and Washington advocacy organizations on Tuesday, seeking to determine whether the groups submitted millions of fraudulent public comments to sway a critical federal decision on Internet regulation,” The New York Times reported yesterday.
The NY AG last year said it found 2 million net neutrality comments filed in people’s names without their knowledge; some comments were submitted under the names of dead people.

These individuals often hide behind businesses that are nominally Chinese owned, but often are completely controlled and managed by North Koreans.
The Treasury Department specifically identified two guilty companies, China Silver Star and Volsys Silver Star. Doing business with North Korea, or any business that employs North Korean citizens is, of course, against US and UN sanctions.
The Wall Street Journal expanded on this issue by looking into a North Korean operated business out of China that developed apps, mobile games and more for people and businesses across the world. The companies and individuals that did business with them through avenues such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Upwork and Freelancer.com thought they were Chinese programmers; they had no idea they were doing business with North Koreans.
It’s possible that, using these fake profiles, these North Korean companies have made millions of dollars off of unsuspecting clients, using apps like Slack, Github and PayPal to remain as anonymous as possible. The Wall Street Journal notes that these tactics are similar to the ones that Russians were able to use to influence the 2016 US elections.

]]>Jimmy’s imagination is being taken over by a rather unpleasant mass, but luckily, the young boy’s active mind allows him to picture himself as various monsters and creatures, each offering him a range of abilities that will let him thump foes and solve puzzles around the colorful, charming world of Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass.
Jimmy’s dream world is a vibrant place, one filled with unique creatures and horrors creeping at the edge of the subconscious. You’re tasked with helping Jimmy through this world, meeting various monsters as you explore the various locales, then learning how to pretend to be them so you can use their abilities later on. Jimmy may not be able to knock down some fruit from a tree, but perhaps his ostrich form can. Likewise, being a slime creature has some benefits in tight spaces, encouraging players to let their imaginations go and use their creativity to get through challenging situations. Likewise, these powers help in a fight, with each monster leveling up like a playable class, letting players grow thier own favorite creature.
Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass has an innocent appearance, but it’s not long before some unsettling elements start to take hold, telling a frighteningly grown-up story despite being focused on a kid and his family. It aims to tell a story of a boy’s self doubts and feelings toward his family, as well as explore the things that creep about the back of our minds when we fall asleep.
Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass is available for $ 14.99 on Steam. For more information on the game and developer Kasey Ozymy, you can grab the demo from RPGMaker.net or follow them on Tumblr, YouTube, and Twitter.

Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg on Friday endorsed U.S. legislation to regulate political ads across the internet, a concession to lawmakers days before he is scheduled to testify in two U.S. congressional hearings.
Zuckerberg also said Facebook would begin requiring people who want to run ads on the social network addressing political issues to verify their identity and location. That expands an earlier plan to require such verification for ads directly about elections.
“Election interference is a problem that’s bigger than any one platform, and that’s why we support the Honest Ads Act,” Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post on Friday.
That legislation was introduced last October to counter concerns about foreign nationals using social media to influence American politics, an issue being looked at as part of an investigation into possible Russian meddling during the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign.
Facebook disclosed in September that Russians under fake names had used the social network to try to influence U.S. voters in the months before and after the 2016 election, writing about inflammatory subjects, setting up events and buying ads.
In February, U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller charged 13 Russians and three Russian companies with interfering in the election by sowing discord on social media.
The legislation would expand existing election law covering television and radio outlets to apply to paid internet and digital advertisements on platforms like Facebook, Twitter Inc and Alphabet Inc’s Google.
Facebook had previously stopped short of backing the legislation, saying it wanted to work with lawmakers further and announcing attempts at self-regulation.
Zuckerberg is scheduled to appear on Tuesday before a joint hearing of two U.S. Senate committees, and on Wednesday before a U.S. House committee.
Under the Honest Ads Act, digital platforms with at least 50 million monthly views would need to maintain a public file of all electioneering communications purchased by anyone spending more than $500.
Zuckerberg said on Friday that he also wanted to shed more light on “issue ads,” or ads that discuss a political subject but do not directly relate to an election or a candidacy.
Issue ads are frequently run by interest groups, lobbying organizations and wealthy individuals who want to influence legislation or have an indirect impact on an election.
Every advertiser who wants to run an issue ad will need to confirm their identity and location, Zuckerberg wrote.

Through in-depth interviews of 129 transgender participants between the ages of 15 and 21, it was found that symptoms of depression fell by 71 percent in cases where a chosen name was regularly used. The participants were compared with other transgender youths who could not use their name in places like school, work or at home.
Meanwhile, the study showed that thoughts of suicide in participants with adopted names was 34 percent less than in those without the ability to use chosen monikers.
“Many kids who are transgender have chosen a name that is different than the one that they were given at birth,” said the study’s lead author Stephen Russell, who is a professor at the University of Texas.
“We showed that the more contexts or settings where they were able to use their preferred name, the stronger their mental health was.” Published in the Journal of Adolescent Health, the study analyzed contributors from the northeast, southwest and west coast of the US.
Last year, a study of suicide rates over 19 years in Canada revealed that transgender people were 22 times more likely to attempt suicide than the rest of the general public.
Carried out by researchers at McGill University and the University of Saskatchewan, the study also reported mounting evidence to suggest that “barriers to transition-related healthcare contribute to suicidality among those who desire such measures.”

Three blockchain experts linked to a bizarre cryptocurrency startup that sought to raise $ 6.5 million before vanishing have told Business Insider that they are victims of identity theft and have nothing to do with the company.
The startup, called Prodeum, had billed itself as a developing a system to use blockchain technology for agricultural commodities, like fruits and vegetables.
But Prodeum caused waves online Sunday evening after trying to sell tokens to investors through a risky fundraising technique and subsequently disappearing from the web, leaving only the word “penis” on its homepage.
In the end, the company appears to have raised only an almost comical grand total of $ 11 from investors in its initial coin offering, or ICO. But the bizarre incident highlights the chaos and risks lurking in the unregulated world of cryptocurrencies, as well as some of the unexpected dangers that are likely to become more common as interest in cryptocurrencies continues to surge.
Darius Rugevicius, Vytautas Kaseta, and Mario Pazos were all listed as team members or advisors on TokenDesk fundraising page for Prodeum.
While fake founders are a common trait among questionable cryptocurrency startups, Rugevicius, Kaseta, and Pazos all actually work with blockchain startups. All three expressed concern to Business Insider that the Prodeum scam could have an negative impact on their reputations.
Their photos and names were posted on the original website, along with links to active LinkedIn profiles. A fourth team member, Petar Jandric, does not appear to be linked to a real person.
All traces of Prodeum, a startup on the Ethereum blockchain, have been wiped from the internet, and its homepage now redirects to an anonymous Twitter account.
Rugevicius, a general partner at Connect Capital in New York, was at the airport Monday morning on his way to South Korea for a conference hosted by the blockchain company ICON.
“I have personally worked with number of most prominent projects in blockchain field and certainly have no ties with this project,” Rugevicius told Business Insider.
TokenDesk
Pazos, a Miami-based blockchain startup advisor and angel investor, said he didn’t know about Prodeum until he was contacted for this story. He advises the blockchain startups WaBi Project and Kairos, and is closely involved with both of their ICOs.
An ICO is an unregulated fundraising technique used by blockchain companies where cyptocurrencies like bitcoin and ethereum are used to purchase “tokens” from a startup. In theory, the tokens will be valuable if the company takes off, though many people buy random digital tokens in the hopes that they can trade them like stocks.
Though he said he hasn’t thought much about scams until this happened to him, Pazos said that he takes the legitimacy of the companies that he works with very seriously, and has turned away clients that he didn’t feel confident would succeed in the space.
“We run a very thorough due diligence process and interview with the CEO and their team. In fact, we have face to face interactions. I make sure that they’re legitimate companies,” Pezos said, adding that he also looks at companies’ financials to make sure they are not struggling to make ends meet.
Kaseta, a Lithuania-based blockchain engineer and advisor, said he and Rugevicius are looking into taking legal action against the alleged scammers. He also said he is working with the crypto community to find the people behind the Prodeum.
“From the first information, looks like it could be some Russian based scammers. But we can’t confirm this yet,” Kaseta said.
Though Prodeum ultimately raised just $ 11, the company originally set out to raise 5,400 ether, or $ 6.5 million. The project goal was to “bring fruits and vegetables to the blockchain.” It may sound silly, but tracking produce from farm to store is one of the more practical uses of blockchain technology, with companies like IBM and Walmart partnering on similar projects.

As many as 2 million identities were stolen to leave fake comments in support of the FCC’s decision to kill net neutrality, according to the New York Attorney General’s Office. Based on the 5,000 or so complaints filed with the office, some of the victims are senior citizens, some are minors, while some are already dead. “This is a 13 year old child — she did not post this comment, nor did anyone else in her household,” a report filed by a New Yorker said. A Chicago resident who also filed a complaint called the fake comment made under their mother’s name “sickening.” Their mother passed away several years ago from cancer.
While it’s still not clear how the identities were stolen, the Attorney General’s Office has at least figured out where the fake comments came from: New York, Florida, Texas and California produced 100,000 fake comments each. It has released the details of its investigation along with a letter from Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman criticizing the FCC’s decision move forward with its net neutrality vote. He’s urging the commission to postpone the vote, which is scheduled to take place today at 10:30AM Eastern, and to help further his team’s investigation.
He wrote:
“Millions of fake comments have corrupted the FCC public process — including two million that stole the identities of real people, a crime under New York law. Yet the FCC is moving full steam ahead with a vote based on this corrupted process, while refusing to cooperate with an investigation. As we’ve told the FCC: moving forward with this vote would make a mockery of our public comment process and reward those who perpetrated this fraud to advance their own hidden agenda. The FCC must postpone this vote and work with us to get to the bottom of what happened.”
Schneiderman once called out the FCC for refusing to look into the issue. His office apparently requested for FCC’s records nine times between June and November, but it never received any concrete response. Earlier this month, the commission finally agreed to cooperate with the New York Attorney General, giving Schneiderman’s team a way to finally start analyzing all the anti-net neutrality spam that flooded the commission’s website.
