Monday’s 9-1-1 began by putting a microscope over Hen and Karen’s relationship, which has been in rough shape ever since the hopeful mothers-to-be lost a half dozen embryos. “It’s been three weeks,” Karen reminded her wife while discussing her crippling depression. “I’m sorry my grief is taking so long. What will be an acceptable amount of time for me to mourn? We lost six embryos, so is it a day for each one? Or can I negotiate for a little more time to process my loss? Why am I the only one that’s feeling it?”

Hen did her best to relate, telling Karen that she also “got really attached to the idea of a new baby,” but that only made things worse. “Those babies were just an idea to you,” Karen said. “But each one of them was actually a part of me.”

As she relayed to Athena, Hen found herself torn over Karen’s struggle. She understood her wife’s need to grieve, but she also needs Karen to be present for their family’s sake. Ironically, Hen didn’t realize that she was basically doing the same thing to her work partner, Chimney, until he called her out for getting distracted.

Sadly, that distraction turned fatal when Hen accidentally crashed the ambulance into a young woman named Evelyn. And because 9-1-1 loves to rip our hearts out whenever possible, we were given Evelyn’s complete backstory. (She was about to make her debut with the Los Angeles Philarmonic! Her grandmother was so proud! Her dad was trying on multiple shirts!)

“There’s going to be an investigation, and it starts now,” Athena told an inconsolable Hen upon her arrival. “The LAPD and LAFD are going to roll up onto the scene with a lot of questions. You need to think about what you’re going to say. Only tell them what you know. Not what you think, not what you feel. Answer their questions, but stick to the facts. Do you think you can do that?”

Based on Hen’s complete breakdown at the sight of Evelyn being pronounced dead on the scene, I’m not sure she can make that promise.

* Eddie’s rise to stardom in the underground fighting community hit a snag when he accidentally kicked a piece of his opponent’s nose into his cranial cavity. (At least I think that’s what happened. This may surprise you, but I’m neither a first responder nor a cage fighter.) Even though it meant exposing the whole operation, not to mention revealing his side hustle to Lena, Eddie placed a call to 9-1-1. It saved the man’s life, but it didn’t spare Eddie a follow-up lecture from Bobby.

* As I was watching that cold open (pun intended) about the feuding figure skaters, I couldn’t help but wonder… how have Ryan Murphy & Co. not yet given us a campy dark comedy about the Ice Capades? Maybe that would be too easy.

* Speaking of life on the ice, who would have ever guessed that Bobby’s mysterious past included a brief stint as one half of a decorated figure-skating duo? Sure, we knew the man was riddled with demons, but nothing like that.

* And rather than risk Buck hearing it from someone else, Maddie came clean to her brother about the stalking complaint filed against her. People sure got a lot off their chests this week, didn’t they?

The Monster Among Men was left bloodied and beaten following the triple assault dished out by Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre.

Fans were immediately worried for the giant’s wellbeing as he was heard telling medics: “I can’t feel my fingers right now.”

Strowman, who helped Raw to a clean sweep at Survivor Series, is due to face acting general manager Corbin in the main event at WWE’s next pay-per-view, TLC, on December 17.

He will receive a shot at Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title at the Royal Rumble if he emerges triumphant.

However, his participation at TLC is now under threat after the company released a statement on his condition. And it was not good news for Strowman and his fans.

“As reported by Michael Cole during the Monday Night Raw broadcast, Braun Strowman suffered a shattered elbow at the hands of Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin,” the statement read.

“During tonight’s Six-Man Elimination Tag Team Match, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin brutally assaulted Braun Strowman and smashed The Monster Among Men’s right arm with the steel steps.

“WWE.com can confirm that Strowman sustained serious injuries in the attack, and is undergoing evaluation by WWE medical personnel to determine the extent of the damage.”

The blow is most likely part of WWE’s storyline but only last week Becky Lynch suffered a broken nose on Raw.

The SmackDown Live Women’s champion led an invasion on the red brand’s female roster but was caught with a fist by Nia Jax during the melee.

Medics ruled her out of her champion-vs-champion showdown with Ronda Rousey at Sunday’s Survivor Series, with Charlotte Flair stepping in to take her place.

Late last year, California experienced terrible—and in the case of the October Tubbs Fire, record-setting—wildfires. The fires were especially intense due to an unusually late start to the rainy season, which left vegetation dry as seasonal mountain winds kicked up like bellows in a forge.

This year, the situation has repeated. The Camp Fire in Northern California not only broke last year’s all-time record for structures burned, it also broke a much older record for the deadliest wildfire in the state’s history. And in Southern California, the Hill and Woolsey Fires have burned through homes on the north side of Los Angeles.

So what is going on with these extreme fires? Are they just chance or part of a trend? President Trump, via his Twitter account, has repeatedly blamed California for its fires and claimed that environmental policies for water use or forestry are somehow responsible. But these claims make no sense to anyone working in the state—or anyone who knows that forest fires aren’t put out by hose-carrying fire engines. In reality, many factors contribute to the current situation. And climate change is one of them.

Just when fans thought the story of Darth Vader couldn’t get any darker.

These new revelations are actually canon, which means they are now officially part of Star Wars lore, and the show what lay in the darkest depth of Vader’s heart.

Fans have always been fascinated with the castle on Mustafar and the tantalising scenes from Rogue One only intensified the need to know what lies withing those iconic walls.

Not only does it involve Vader and Palpatine, it reveals a terrifying new Sith and plans to bring back Padme from beyond the grave… 

Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 22: Fortress Vader, Part IV is the twenty-second issue of the long-running comic book series Star Wars: Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith.

The latest issues are written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Giuseppe Camuncoli and have been exploring the darkest scerets of Mustafar and Vader’s terrible home.

Issue #22 Part IV was released this month and reveals more about Sith Lord Momin, who even Palpatine regarded as a dangerous heretic and whose life force lives on in a terrible mask which the Emperor gifts to Vader.

Together Vader and Momin create that iconic and dreadful castle and imbue it with evil power and, now it has been revealed, a truly terrible purpose.

The official plot synopsis outlines what happened but then the comic itself reveals even more terrible secrets.

It says: “Vader has requested that his master grant him a planet to do with what he will — and he has chosen Mustafar, a world ripe with dark side energies…and the site of his greatest defeat. Palpatine has charged Chief Imperial Architect Alva Brenne to build Vader’s fortress there and gifted his apprentice with the Mask of Lord Momin, a mysterious dark side artifact.

“But Brenne has failed to capture Vader’s vision for the fortress. And Momin’s mask has revealed its power — by murdering Brenne, possessing her assistant and offering up its own designs for Fortress Vader….”

Together Vader and Momin create something with a shocking purpose.

The castle on Mustafar was a haven for Vader, his stronghold and, he hoped, the seat for his power when he overthrew Palpatine.

However, it now seems that he tolerated Momin so that the castle woud be engineered to harness and focus the dark power on Mustafar for an even greater task.

Everything that shaped Anakin’s fall to the Dark Side was rooted in his love for Padme and his fear of losing her.

After her death he wasn’t just consumed with rage and negation, it now seems he was obsessed with trying to bring her back. Which raises the new question of what – or who – is in that castle?

Did Vader bring Padme’s body and tomb to Mustafar from Naboo?

There are strong theories that Kylo Ren and hsi knights will go to the castle in Episode 9 in search of secrets from the past. What might they find?

If you can just get past the constant fear that Elisabeth Moss’ character is doomed to die a sex slave in a patriarchal hellscape, The Handmaid’s Tale executive producer Bruce Miller says, the Hulu drama really is an uplifting tale.

“I believe in June,” he told reporters on a recent call regarding the series’ Season 2 finale, which began streaming Wednesday. “If June’s story is the story we tell, we’ve told it because it’s a story of hope. I do feel like every episode where it ends in ‘June is alive’ is a huge victory and a story worth telling, to see how someone in this world doesn’t just survive but in their own way finds ways to live, finds ways to actually have a life, have intimacy.”
