The Morning Watch is a recurring feature that highlights a handful of noteworthy videos from around the web. They could be video essays, fanmade productions, featurettes, short films, hilarious sketches, or just anything that has to do with our favorite movies and TV shows.

In this edition, a video essay dives into the difficult task of sound design on the Harry Potter franchise. Plus, another video wonders if Snowpiercer is secretly a sequel to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Robin Hood stars Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx teach you medieval slang to use on your friends.

First up, a new video essay from Nerdwriter examines the challenging task of sound design in the Harry Potter franchise. It’s a little more difficult than sound design on other movies because the crew has to use a combination of sounds to establish what things like magic spells sound like when they are executed.

The latest edition of The Dan Cave over at Nerdist examines an interesting theory that posits the post-apocalyptic Snowpiercer is actually a sequel to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It’s a bit of a stretch, but there are some interesting connections between the two movies, especially when it comes to their themes and characters.

Finally, next week you’ll be able to see Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx stealing from the rich in yet another new version of Robin Hood, and that makes them the perfect duo to teach you some medieval slang (via Vanity Fair) to try out next time you’re out an about. For example, call someone at Thanksgiving dinner a wind sucker and see what they say.

Dodge recently teased an updated 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat sports coupe complete with an all-new hood with dual scoops. It didn’t reveal anything else about the vehicle, saying more details were coming. And now we have more details, but not in the way Dodge probably wanted. We can now see the updated Hellcat with the new hood.

To be perfectly honest, it’s pretty much what we expected. The teaser photos indicated that the hood was the only major body change, and this car confirms it. The rest of the body is identical to a normal Hellcat. The bumpers, grille mesh, even the wheels are all standard Hellcat parts. Even the slotted rotors and Brembo calipers look the same. This car does suggest that the hood will be available on both the narrow-body Hellcat and the Hellcat Widebody, the latter of which was featured in the teaser images.

There is actually one other minor difference on this 2019 Hellcat’s exterior, and that’s the grille badging. There’s now a vintage-style badge with “Challenger” written in script off to one side. Currently only one grille and badge design is available on Hellcat, and it features just the SRT Hellcat logo. It appears the SRT badge is still present, but blocked off on this prototype. So it’s possible this new badge comes with the new hood as a sort of retro package for Hellcat.

We should have all the details on this and other 2019 Challengers when the car is officially revealed later this summer.

The official synopsis reads: “Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) a war-hardened Crusader and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.”

Sounds like the classic tale we all know and love, but the trailer shows a more modern spin on it, much like Guy Richie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword last year.

Robin Hood will be released in UK cinemas on November 21, 2018.

It’s also getting some updates for the new year, as shown in these teasers from Dodge. The biggest one we can see is the hood, which trades the relatively subtle center scoop and dual heat extractors for a pair of big angry nostrils. Dodge says the twin hood scoops are a throwback to past Dodge performance models, take the Dart Swinger, for example. They also bring to mind some mid- to late-2000s Pontiacs, but we’ll try to focus on the classic Mopars.

2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

A little bit of Photoshop work helps highlight some other aspects of the 2019 Challenger Hellcat. The Hellcat Widebody will clearly continue for the new year, too, as the vehicle in the teaser image has the bulging arches found on that Challenger as well as the one-year-only Demon. We can also make out five-spoke wheels that may have split spokes. Most of the body looks like the current model, too, so we don’t expect any major changes to the chassis or powertrain.

The only other information Dodge revealed about the 2019 Challenger is that more information will come this summer. So expect to hear more in just a few months.
