A team of US negotiators led by Deputy US Trade Representative Jeffrey Gerrish will sit down with their Chinese counterparts next week to follow up on agreements reached between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires in December, Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced Friday. Back in Argentina, the two leaders agreed a 90-day truce on new tariffs, which is set to expire on March 1. The ministry said that it would host the US team on January 7-8 for high-level talks, during which representatives of both parties will discuss “implementing the important consensus” mapped out by Trump and Xi. So far, China and the US have slapped tariffs on some of $ 300 billion worth of each other’s goods.

North Korea and South Korea are set to hold high-level talks on March 29, after Pyongyang accepted Seoul’s proposal to discuss the date and agenda items for an inter-Korean summit in April, the Ministry of Unification said Saturday. The meeting will take place in the Korean Demilitarized Zone, at the Truce Village of Panmunjom. The South Korean three-man delegation will be led by Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon, Yonhap reports.

Destiny 2 improves upon its predecessor in many ways. In short, it offers a more satisfying, shared-world experience. Building upon that, the game’s developer Bungie is today launching the Guided Games beta. The feature essentially delivers the matchmaking system for high-level activities that the first title lacked. Players may have noticed the longer-than-usual server maintenance downtime today, which brought with it a a massive patch. Download it and you’ll get Guided Games.

Announced back in May, the new mode allows clan members (known here as “guides”) to invite one or two players (dubbed “seekers”) to join them for raids and Nightfall missions. Seekers can scroll through the available teams, before picking the one that suits them best. The in-game menu tells you how long a mission will last and that voice chat is required. In the beta, at least, seekers will require a Nightfall ticket to participate. The postmaster should have some ready and waiting for you. How you will come by more remains to be seen. Guides, on the other hand, can queue up without restrictions.

Bungie has already laid out the first-month activities it has planned for players. And, Guided Games is dropping just in time for today’s Leviathan raid.

Otto Warmbier, an American university student held prisoner in North Korea for 17 months and said by his family to be in a coma, was medically evacuated from the reclusive country after a rare visit there from a high-level U.S. official.

Warmbier, 22, a University of Virginia student from suburban Cincinnati, arrived in the United States on Tuesday evening, witnesses said.

His release came after Joseph Yun, the U.S. State Department’s special envoy on North Korea, traveled to Pyongyang and demanded Warmbier’s release on “humanitarian grounds,” capping a flurry of secret diplomatic contacts, a U.S. official said.

Warmbier’s parents, Fred and Cindy, confirmed their son was on a medevac flight.

“Sadly, he is in a coma and we have been told he has been in that condition since March of 2016,” the parents said in a statement. “We learned of this only one week ago. We want the world to know how we and our son have been brutalized and terrorized by the pariah regime in North Korea.”

Warmbier was detained in January 2016 and sentenced to 15 years of hard labor in March last year for trying to steal an item with a propaganda slogan, according to North Korean media.

Warmbier’s plane landed at Cincinnati Municipal Lunken Airport at around 10.15 p.m. local time (0215 GMT), according to a Reuters witness. Medical personnel carried a male, believed to be Warmbier and wearing a blue shirt and dark blue pants, off the plane without the use of a stretcher.

The person carried from the plane did not appear to be moving independently, the Reuters witness said.

A small group of family friends was nearby to celebrate Warmbier’s arrival, cheering and holding signs that read “Pray for Otto” and “Welcome home Otto.”

The man was loaded into an ambulance bound for the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where a hospital spokeswoman said he would receive treatment.

Warmbier’s family said they were told by North Korean officials, through contacts with American envoys, that Warmbier fell ill from botulism some time after his March 2016 trial and lapsed into a coma after taking a sleeping pill, the Washington Post reported.

The New York Times quoted a senior U.S. official as saying Washington recently received intelligence reports that Warmbier had been repeatedly beaten in custody.

Hours after his release, the U.S. government blamed Pyongyang for a raft of cyber attacks stretching back to 2009 and warned more were likely.

Warmbier’s release came as former U.S. basketball star Dennis Rodman arrived in North Korea on Tuesday, returning to the nuclear-armed country where he met leader Kim Jong Un on previous visits.

The State Department denied any connection between Warmbier’s release and Rodman’s visit, which President Donald Trump’s administration said it did not authorize.

The State Department is continuing to discuss three other detained Americans with North Korea, U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said.

Since taking office in January, Trump has faced a growing national security challenge from North Korea, which has conducted a series of ballistic missile tests in defiance of U.S. and international sanctions.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders told reporters on Air Force One that “bringing Otto home was a big priority for the president.”

In rare high-level contacts, Yun met senior North Korean officials in Oslo in May, where it was agreed Swedish officials in Pyongyang, who handle U.S. consular affairs there, would be allowed to see all four American detainees, a State Department official said.

The North Koreans later urgently requested another meeting in New York. Yun met North Korea’s ambassador to the United Nations on June 6 and was told about Warmbier’s condition, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Tillerson consulted with Trump and arrangements were made for Yun and a medical team to travel to Pyongyang, the official said.

Yun arrived on Monday, visited Warmbier with two doctors and demanded his release, the official said. The North Koreans agreed and he was flown out on Tuesday.

“In no uncertain terms North Korea must explain the causes of his coma,” veteran former diplomat Bill Richardson said in a statement after speaking to Warmbier’s parents. Richardson has played a role in past negotiations with North Korea.

The White House is expected to publicly release several financial disclosure reports covering senior staff members on its website.

On Friday, the White House issued a press release saying they would share financial information from some high-level staff members by the evening.

Under federal law, high-level officials in the White House are required to file public financial disclosure reports with ethics officials within 30 days of taking office.

“These reports are reviewed by the White House and are used to identify and prevent potential financial conflicts of interest,” the press release said.

The reports will also be reviewed by the US Office of Government Ethics for certification.

President Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, agreed to become an advisor to the president, meaning she and her husband Jared Kushner are also required to share their financial disclosures within 30 days of taking office.

Officials said that financial disclosures from Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are not expected to be released on Friday, according to USA Today.

The financial disclosure reports from Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn may be released on Friday. However, it is unclear if the disclosures will include all of the aides.

Financial information for the members of Trump’s cabinet who had Senate confirmation hearings is available on the US Office of Government Ethics website.

At a press conference Friday, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said the current administration is “very blessed and very successful,” adding they should be “celebrated” for disclosing their finances.

“I think it speaks volumes to the desire for a lot of these people to fulfill the President’s vision and move the agenda forward that they are willing to list all of their assets, undergo this public scrutiny, but also set aside a lot,” Spicer said.

“There’s a lot of people that have done a lot to come into this administration to give back, that have been inspired by the President’s victory and the President’s agenda to move the country forward,” he added.
