“Jamie dies first and keeps his promise that he’ll find Claire in death, and as he waits he takes advantage of opportunities to see her on the holidays when the spirit and real world are open to each other, like Samhain.

“If DG says that the series ends in Scotland, then I’m guessing Jamie dies in Scotland, and so his ghost can only roam there, so we don’t see his ghost visiting her in Boston, etc.

“Claire would only be in Scotland on these kinds of holidays at the beginning of book 1 and maybe once or twice more while she’s with Jamie in the 1740’s before/after Paris, so this time we see him visiting her is kind of his only opportunity.

To much of the car-buying public, the name Toyota is synonymous with reliability, longevity, and quality, and the Highlander does nothing to skew those attributes. The Toyota name also has become tantamount to boring, and unfortunately the Highlander doesn’t make an attempt to change that, either. It’s a hard-working, capable three-row crossover, but despite its snappy new looks, it’s not an exciting vehicle to pilot. Instead, it relies on its core strengths: people and cargo hauling, fuel-efficient powertrains, and an agreeable ride. Its light refresh for the 2017 model year brought styling, active safety, and powertrain enhancements but—disappointingly—didn’t add Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, or onboard Wi-Fi gadgetry. For Honor Season 3 has been talked about a lot by Ubisoft recently, who have now confirmed some of the new heroes and maps coming to the game later this month.

Season Three has been dubbed “Grudge and Glory” and has a release date set for August 15.

“Grudge and Glory” will bring the largest updates to For Honor to date with the introduction of new heroes, maps, gear, ranked play, as well as important gameplay updates.

As in the past, all maps and For Honor gameplay updates will be free for all players at the start of Season Three. 

The new For Honor heroes will include the “proud Highlander and the deadly Gladiator”, who will be available free for Season Pass holders on August 15.

All other players will be able to unlock them in-game on August 22 for 15,000 Steel. 

The never-ending war between Knights, Vikings and Samurai welcomes two new deadly Heroes into the fray:

Highlander Viking Class – “Stoic and guarded, Highlanders are patient heroes capable of switching between two different fighting forms. Their defensive form allows for counter-attacking and trading blows, while their offensive form empowers them to unleash their deadliest attacks at the expense of being able to block. 

“Wielding the heaviest and longest sword in the game, the Highlander’s massive claymore gives them a deadly combination of strength and range.”

FOR HONOR SEASON THREE HERO GALLERY BELOW:

Gladiator Knight Class – “Wielding a trident and shield, the Gladiator has made a living off of killing for sport, they now bring their ruthlessness and skill to war. 

“Fighters by trade, they are brash and boastful; equipped with little armor, they can punch their opponents to create separation to set up attacks and stuns. 

“Their larger stamina meter and reduced cool down times make them extremely agile and dangerous opponents.”

There will also be two new battlefields: Sentinel and Viking Village, each of which “features a deadly new environmental hazards, including a ballista and barrel, to keep players aware of their surroundings as well as their opponents,” Ubisoft tease.

“There’ll be a whole new legendary gear rarity, too, and the reputation cap for Heroes will be raised to 40, giving players more customization options.

“Finally, Season Three will debut alongside a new title update for For Honor, which will bring several gameplay tweaks and updates, including fighting mechanic adjustments to create better balance between offensive and defensive styles of play.”

FOR HONOR SEASON TRAILER BELOW:

Since its launch, For Honor has had 12 major updates deployed, with Game Director Damien Kieken revealing more how they hope to improve the game’s servers and overall connection issues.

On Dedicated Servers:

DK: “So basically, since we launched the game, we’ve faced new online challenges. We saw that we had connectivity and stability problems, mostly on 4v4 modes, so it’s one of the things we’ve looked at and worked on a lot since the game launched. And during that process, we decided to do an analysis of the whole online infrastructure we have and compare it to other existing ones. And in the end, based on all the data we gathered … we decided to do the move and to migrate to a dedicated server technology, for many, many different reasons.

“One of them, and the main reason for us, is that we want to improve the stability of the matches on 4v4, and we want to have an architecture that is more long-term, that could help us more in the future for the things we want to do next. And then you have some very simple examples; with dedicated servers, you don’t have session host migration anymore, so there is no game pausing when somebody leaves the session. You won’t have to manage your NATs. You don’t have to check your NAT if you want to play with a friend or things like that. So it will also help greatly the overall experience of the player, from matchmaking to the game session itself, to playing with friends, and things like that.

On Server Deployment:

DK: “It’s a big job. I won’t lie to you, it’s a very big change. We often use a metaphor, internally, that we’re changing the engine of a car while it runs. So it’s a lot of work, but it’s work that has already started quite some time ago. But it will take time, and it will go through several steps before we can release it progressively to the players.

On Connections:

DK: “Not all the team has switched to work on dedicated servers, so we have a dedicated team for that that is working inside our online team. And the other part of the online team is still working on improving the current network infrastructure. Like some players have witnessed it with the patches we’ve done.

“We’ve done one patch today to improve stability… we did some improvements also on the patch of last week, we introduced routers for duel tournaments that will ship during Season 3, to also manage the NAT differently. So it’s a constant work we’re still doing and we still do, until the dedicated servers are used in the live environment.”

The filmmaker has been given the task of bringing the 1986 classic back to the big screen.

During an interview promoting the home release of his other directorial effort, John Wick: Chapter 2, he gave an update on his Highlander reboot.

Chad revealed: “We’re trying to stay very true to the original property. Keep what is really excellent about the tone and keep the mythology going from that world.

“[We’ve] purposed it to have a more modern take on it [while] keeping the beauty of what the original was.”

When asked if original stars Sean Connery and Christopher Lambert could make a return in cameos, the director admitted he would certainly think about it.

“We could only hope… we’ll see. We haven’t really talked about that yet. 

“We just want to make sure we have a really good story and some really good characters in it…our take on what we can do with the action.

“And if that’s good then we’ll worry about the cameos.”

While there’s no news on casting, he said: “We’re in that magic place called development right now. 

“The studio has some kind of timeline they’d like to adhere to. “Currently we’re in the middle of working on the script. 

“If everything goes as processed…y’know it’s a big movie, it’s got a lot of moving parts too especially with the choreography. Swords aren’t as easy as firearms.”

The director added: “Just to do another sword movie isn’t really what we want to do. 

“We want to bring to life a whole different level of duelling [with] edged weapons. 

“That takes a lot of time to develop and train the cast.”

John Wick Chapter 2 is released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download on June 12, 2017.
