Namibia Airport narrowly avoided a serious accident when a train of four luggage trolleys was sent flying at high speed towards a stationary plane.

A viral video of the dramatic incident shows airport workers at Hosea Kutako International Airport desperately trying to run after the trolleys and stop them crashing into the aircraft.

The train’s material covers can be seen flapping in the strong winds as the official attempts to push against the first trolley.

But the strength of the high winds proves too strong and the trolleys continue to hurtle down the runway, despite the worker’s brave attempts.

Three other airport workers then madly dash towards their colleague to help as the train nears the stationary plane.

A car also zooms forwards, apparently with the aim of obstructing the path of the runaway trolleys.

Meanwhile, the plane’s pilots appear to realise the impending danger and begin to taxi away.

However, the driver of the car appears to take no action during all of this and the trolleys simply whip past as the vehicle comes to a halt.

The airport workers continue to run after the train but the trolleys appear to come to a stop.

The final scene of the drama is unfortunately not captured in the video.

Local paper The Namibian reported: “Strong winds at the Hosea Kutako International Airport triggered a spectacle in which four officials chased after a train of four runaway luggage trolleys which were heading towards a stationary plane at full speed.”

A Namibian Airports Company (NAC) spokesperson, Dan Kamati, confirmed the incident occurred on Sunday.

“No injuries or damage to persons or property was reported and investigations continue,” he told the daily newspaper.

According to a Facebook post of the video by The Namibian, authorities “are trying to establish whether the Air Namibia plane was parked, or planning to take off, and whether the plane had just landed, or if it had moved to avoid a collision with the trolleys.”

Kamati did not reveal what had caused the trolleys to be let loose but said it would be investigated.

Last week a shocking event happened in south India when an Air India plane reportedly smashed into a wall during a take-off.

The plane had 130 passengers and six crew members on board. Despite the obvious hit, the flight continued across the Indian Ocean and halfway to Dubai.

However, after two hours the aircraft was ordered to return back to Mumbai, India by ground control.

A “catastrophe” could have occurred if the flight had continued any longer, Hindustan Times reported.

“More parts of the aircraft could have come off had it continued to cruise for a bit longer, endangering the lives of passengers,” VK Kukar, a former Air India Pilot, told the Indian newspaper.

The viral video, filmed in Lake Tahoe in Nevada, captured a typical beach scene.

Mountains can be seen in the distance while paddle boarding and canoeing tourists make the most of the beautiful water.

But the shocking scene captured something rather unusual in the water as onlookers filmed.

While they didn’t seem to be threatening anyone, the terrifying creatures are known for being rather ferocious animals.

A family of three black bears are seen frolicking in the water.

Close to the shoreline, a black bear was caught playing with her two black bear cubs.

They can be territorial when it comes to protecting their family, although didn’t seem interested in any of the people around them.

Three people watch it from their paddleboards before they decide to try and paddle away.

It may have been a wise move seeing as bears can be dangerous creatures.

While they seem scary, black bears are the worlds most common bear species and are not as dangerous as grizzly bears.

The video has had over 87,000 views on Imgur already, with many people commenting on the surprising scene.

One remarked: “I’m not sure why but I am very bothered by the fact that the one person closest to the bears has their back turned the entire time.”

A user who couldn’t resist a pun said: “Hope the water is bearable”.

Another explained why it isn’t uncommon to see black bears near people.

They wrote: “According to a ranger in the Smokies, Mama black bears with cubs will stay close to humans cause male bears are scared of people.”

Bears have been caught on camera in very surprising situations when they are around humans.

One man was shocked to find two bear cubs in his car when opening the door.

He quickly swung it open before they both leapt out and fled the scene.

Another man decided to play with two grizzly bears by playing peek a boo.

Thankfully he is an expert and is known as Jim Kowalczik who own a wildlife rehabilitation centre in New York.

The viral video shows a car struggling to stay in control on the treacherous roads as the ‘Beast from the East’ storm plagues the country.

People have been left stranded as the roads are too dangerous to drive on.

Filmed from a car behind, the grey vehicle can be seen driving slowly forward in the blizzard.

As they attempt to go forwards, their wheels spin out of control. Suddenly the car is slipping sideways as they lose control.

Thankfully the skilled driver takes their time and leans into the skid.

The muddy snow is churned up but the car then rights themselves and drives forward.

Behind them, the cameraman who has been stationary the whole time then goes to drive on afterwards, hopefully just as carefully.

The Facebook video has since had over 258,000 views.

Many online users questioned why people were driving in the treacherous weather.

One asked: “Why are people out in these conditions??? It puts added pressure on emergency services who are already overstretched. If it’s not life and death don’t travel!”

Yet others realised that sometimes people have to drive no matter the weather.

They retorted: “How do you know they aren’t trying to get home or how do you know they aren’t emergency service workers?”

The viral video shows a Eurowings plane attempt a landing at Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport in high winds.

It can be seen coming onto the tarmac after being buffeted by winds of up to 70mph.

It then attempts to land sideways to make the landing safety.

Thankfully both wheels touch the floor and it successfully lands.

It is reported that there were 70 passengers onboard, but whilst it looks terrifying, isn’t actually all that dangerous.

After taking off from Sylt, an island in Germany, the crosswind landing is something that well-trained pilots can easily do.

To do it, the plane lands sideways whilst the nose stays in line with the runway.

This is called the “crab landing” and is a lot more common than people may realise when landing in difficult weather conditions.

Commercial airline pilot Daniel Fahl explained to CNN: “It’s not really dangerous. It just requires the utmost of your training to kick in.

“It does look dramatic, but that’s just because the airplanes are so susceptible to the wind. 

“But that’s how they’re designed. They’re designed to be weather vanes that point into the wind.”

Bad weather has been causing a number of planes to experience difficult issues when landing.

A British Airways flight was forced to abandon the planned landing at London City airport.

The strong winds from Storm Eleanor caused problems for the flight from Edinburgh.

The video shows the aircraft coming in for landing, only being forced to pull up at the last minute.

It then takes back off again before the wheels touch the ground.

A viral video has captured the terrifying moment a car almost causes a double collision after driving dangerously on the road.

The video has emerged after the dash cam of a cyclist caught the act in Wolverhampton earlier this year.

A car can be seen speeding up to a junction as they approach the main road.

What happens next could have had a much scarier outcome.

Without slowing down, the car drives straight out into the junction, nearly hitting both a bicycle and a white van.

It is their right of way, which the car appears to ignore.

Thankfully the bad driver manages to slip between the two road users without hitting them, but the close call stops the cyclist in their tracks.

The video on Birmingham Mail then shows the car speeding off without stopping to check that they are both okay, nearly colliding with another row of traffic.

After the near-miss, the cyclist and the van driver both stop further down the road to confirm they are unharmed. 

The offending car broke many rules of the Highway Code, including to always “look out for motorcyclists and cyclists at junctions”.

Users reacted on Facebook regarding the bad driver and the dangerous manoeuvre.

One wrote: “So many idiots on the road. That was too close!” whilst another stated that it was “horrific”, according to Birmingham Mail.

A viral video also caught another near-miss, this time with a driver and a pedestrian.

The man can be seen walking on the footpath as a car hurtles towards from at a distance.

He leaps out of the way as the car skids on the grass beside him.

Despite the car ignoring him and continuing to drive on, the man nonchalantly continues on his journey.

A viral video has emerged showing a cars close shave when driving along a busy road at night.

The video shows two lanes of traffic as they’re stuck in a queue of tailbacks.

On the left is a lorry with a large container attached to the back and on the right is a normal car.

What happens next makes for a terrifying watch.

As the lorry slowly creeps forward, the wheel gets stuck in a huge pothole.

Suddenly, the container tilts dangerously onto one side, hanging precariously over the other car.

The car quickly moves forward and out of the way as it can see what is about to happen.

Thankfully, due to good suspension, the lorry doesn’t fall over and instead hangs in mid-air, avoiding any injury.

The Imgur video has since had over 70,000 views as users were biting their nails in fear.

A viral video captured a heart-stopping moment on a busy road.

The person filming is following a green bus along a one-lane road in the countryside in Norway.

As it comes to a stop, a group of school-children can be seen jumping off.

Suddenly, one darts into the middle of the road as they try to cross.

What they don’t realise, by crossing behind a bus, is that a huge lorry is speeding down the other side of the road.

Seeming to be oblivious, they continue to run as the lorry applies its brakes whilst the young person runs in front of it.

Thankfully the lorry avoids the child due to their quick reactions, coming within inches as it struggles to stop its huge weight.

The other children seem unbothered by the near miss.

Tor Bjørn Kyrkjebø was a truck driver who witnessed the near miss and told NRK: “I saw what was about to happen, but there was little I could do.”

The Imgur video, which has over 20,000 views already, shocked users at the child’s idiotic actions.

One wrote: “I thought you were supposed to cross in front of the bus for this very reason.”

Others praised the actions of the lorry driver.

Another remarked: “That truck driver deserves a medal… or a cash prize.”

It lost control as the driver veered across two lanes, unable to straighten up.

The cruise ship was travelling from New York to the Caribbean when it faced the storm.

Rich Baker, the man who filmed the storm and worked on the cruise ship, captured the moment his porthole window was completely submerged by the huge waves.

Thankfully, the portholes are made to withstand the waves and no break under the strong pressure.

Despite this, it makes for a terrifying watch.

The Youtube video, which has since had nearly 300,000 views, shows the sea and the huge waves that the ship is attempting to navigate.

The rough seas are scary enough yet the ship appears to be steady.

Suddenly, the huge waves crash against the cruise ship window and completely submerge it, as the blue waves swirl around the window pane.

It continues to happen as the sea floats through the waves.

Youtube users admitted they would have been scared if they were in that position.

One wrote: “How were you not scared? This video gave me a mini heart attack!”

Others were put off going on a cruise entirely.

They commented: “I’m NEVER and I repeat NEVER going on a cruise.”

One cruise ship was caught tipping over whilst fighting the strong storms at sea.

It is seen tilting almost 180 degrees on its side in a stomach-churning video.

Luckily it rights itself and settles back to its normal position.

Filmed in 2005, online users were still terrified at the prospect of being on that particular ship.
