Last week, the Democrats spoke out in support of former Vice President Joe Biden and his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris. This week, the political circus continues as conservatives plead their case for incumbent President Donald Trump and VP Mike Pence at the 2020 Republican National Convention. Eighteen of Trump’s most vocal crusaders are scheduled to address the nation on Monday night, including his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., and Jr.’s girlfriend, former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle. We’ll also hear from Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, who is widely expected to run for the White House in 2024. As previously reported, President Trump will appear nightly to “present his optimistic vision for the next four years,” according to the RNC. “The celebration will culminate in the historic renomination of the president and vice president in Washington, D.C.” A few additional RNC speakers are sure to turn heads. Among them are Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the husband and wife who were charged with felonies after they pointed guns at peaceful Black protesters in St. Louis. The full list is below: * Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida The 2020 Republican National Convention kicks off at 8:30 pm ET. Stream it live via the video above (courtesy of C-SPAN), or scroll down to find out how each TV network intends to cover the event. MSNBC (begins at 7 pm) CNN (begins at 8 pm) PBS (begins at 8 pm) ABC (begins at 10 pm) CBS (begins at 10 pm) Fox News (begins at 10 pm) NBC (begins at 10 pm) Initially, the singletons weren’t aware of the twist and were given 24 hours to enjoy each other’s company without any restrictions. Within hours, Harry Jowsey and Francesca Farago hit it off and shared a kiss while they were still allowed. However, Al Lana then revealed things weren’t as simple as they first seemed and explained how the jackpot would be reduced each time a couple were intimate. Harry and Francesca didn’t seem to take the news too badly and wasted no time in breaking the rules. Read more: Too Hot To Handle: Who is Francesca Farago? What is her Instagram? The couple were the first to break the rules as they struggled to keep their hands off each other and shared a kiss. The rest of the group found out about their rule break and were informed it cost them all $ 3,000. Understandably, the singletons weren’t happy and hit out at the selfish pair but Harry quickly shifted the blame onto Francesca. All of the group turned against the Canadian beauty except her friend Haley Cureton who warned her against her new beau. “We wanted to spice things up a bit. I was exiled from the group for a while after that,” she admitted. However, Too Hot To Handle fans were more forgiving and took to social media to praise the pair’s controversial kiss. One shared: “I’m so on board with Francesca and Haley draining that money. I can’t believe the house has turned on her like that #TooHotToHandle.” “Haley and Francesca are f*****g legends!!! #TooHotToHandle,” another remarked. While a third questioned: “Omg Haley and Francesca have to be reality TV movies or plants right???? They’re literally producer gold??? #TooHotToHandle.” “Haley and Francesca are so chaotic and I love it #TooHotToHandle,” a fourth viewer added. “Lmao Haley and Francesca purposely making out so more money can be deducted omg they know they wrong for that but I’m also here for the pettiness #TooHotToHandle #Netflix,” someone else tweeted. Too Hot To Handle is available to stream on Netflix now.

Haley was quick to qualify her request that Prince Mohammed bin Salman “lose the thuggish nature in which he has been acting” with praise for the Saudi leader, whom the CIA and most other countries’ governments hold responsible for the gruesome murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the country’s Istanbul consulate. He’s “careless at times,” but he has “a lot of good ideas,” she stressed.
MBS merely “owes us some accountability for what happened to Khashoggi. Without question,” Haley told the Washington Examiner, seemingly offering the Saudi prince a roadmap back to America’s good graces… which is understandable – who if not Haley to feel empathy for a fellow “thug“?
After all, during her brief but colorful career at the UN, thuggish behavior has been Haley’s bread and butter.
Displaying enviable psychic powers, she threatened the Syrian government with retaliation for a chemical attack on Idlib that never took place:
“If there are chemical weapons that are used, we know exactly who’s going to use them.”
And she was not content to limit her threats to Syria:
“We told the Syrians, the Russians, and the Iranians, look twice. We have warned you not to use chemical weapons, twice you have used it and twice President Trump has acted. Don’t test us again.”
“If Assad, Russia, and Iran continue down the path they are on, the consequences will be dire.”
Haley never misses an opportunity to threaten Russia:
“When a country can come interfere in another country’s elections, that is warfare. … This is [Russia’s] weapon of choice and we have to make sure we get in front of it.”
Russia gets under her skin so much she’d rather sabotage her boss’ meeting with its president than miss a chance to throw shade:
“We don’t trust Russia. We don’t trust Putin. We never will. They’re never going to be our friend. That’s just a fact.”
Other victims of her bullying include North Korea, which had the nerve to test a missile:
“If war comes, make no mistake, the North Korean regime will be utterly destroyed.”
“The United States is not looking for a fight, so don’t give us a reason to have one.”
…and Venezuela, which had the nerve to test socialism:
“We are going to fight for Venezuela and we are going to continue doing it until Maduro is gone!“
…and the media, which had the nerve to ask her whether she pulled strings to get her daughter a government job:
“The media is not allowed to talk to me about my children.”
Not content to warmonger for the US alone, she tried to bully the entire world into war against Iran:
“The weapons might as well have had ‘Made in Iran’ stickers all over them. The United States stands ready to share what we know to further the cause of peace. We ask our friends and our allies to do the same…We must speak with one voice in exposing the regime for what it is, a threat to the peace and security of the entire world. We call on all nations to join us, in a united front, resisting this global threat.“
Haley’s thuggishness shone so bright as she trashed the UN for opposing the move of the US embassy to Jerusalem, the Israeli army thanked her for her service.
Indeed, the only thing Haley likes more than bullying the UN on behalf of the US is bullying the UN on behalf of Israel:
“We had the back of Israel, and if they were going to mess with Israel they had to mess with the US.”
…and she was on the front lines when the US left the UN Human Rights Council, ready with one more shot:
“For too long the human rights council has been a protector of human rights abusers and a cesspool of political bias.”
Haley and MBS are ultimately kindred spirits politically as well as temperamentally. The Saudi prince, after all, is the one who said Palestinians should just “shut up” and “stop complaining” earlier this year – an idea Haley echoed in her final speech to the UN.

At her last UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday, the outgoing US envoy heaped praise on the Trump Administration’s peace plan which aims to make a breakthrough in the stalled peace process in the region.
Both sides would benefit greatly from a peace agreement, but the Palestinians would benefit more, and the Israelis would risk more.
“I assure you there is a lot for both sides to like,” Haley said, noting that it’s up to Israel and Palestine to tease out the details.
The plan, according to Haley, is “not just a few pages, containing unspecific and unimaginative guidelines,” but a comprehensive roadmap, with “much more thoughtful detail” and “taking advantage of the new world of technology.”

Palestine takes US to International Court of Justice over Jerusalem embassy move
Haley, who has styled herself as one of the most vocal advocates of Israel in the Trump administration, highlighted the “unshakable bond” between the US and Israel, a position that was cemented during her tenure when the US outraged Muslims in Palestine and beyond by recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, slashed aid to Palestine by some $ 500 million and quit the UN Human Rights Council over its “bias” against Israel.
While Haley once called the UN General Assembly “morally bankrupt” for approving a resolution that condemned Israel’s use of “excessive, disproportionate and indiscriminate force” against Palestinian civilians in Gaza, as she bid farewell to the UNSC, she nonetheless argued that she has never harbored prejudice against Palestine.
“Given my record, some might mistakenly conclude that I am unsympathetic to the Palestinian people. Nothing could be further from the truth,” she said. Switching gears from reconciliatory to condescending, Haley then stated that “Israel wants a peace agreement but it does not need one,” adding that Palestinians must give up on their “50-year-old demands that have only become less and less realistic.”
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas insists that Ramallah will not accept any peace plan that is not based on the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative, which clearly states that the future Palestinian state will be established in the territories occupied by Israel since 1967, with East Jerusalem as the capital.
Abbas has repeatedly decried the US-sponsored “deal of the century,” saying in October that Palestine and Jerusalem are “not for sale or bargaining.”
It’s unclear yet what exactly is in the proposal that has been drafted by US President Donald Trump’s special adviser Jared Kushner and his Middle Eastern envoy Jason Greenblatt, which is expected to be unveiled in early January.
However, neither the Palestinian nor the Israeli side have been enthusiastic about the proposal that could have become the crowning achievement of Haley’s brief ambassadorial career.
Speaking at a conference in November, the Israeli Minister of Justice called the long-awaited plan “a waste of time.”
The Palestinian administration, which has fiercely opposed the plan from the beginning, recently lashed out at it, calling it a “lie” and the “slap of the century.” Mahmoud Al-Habbash, a senior adviser to the PA president, hinted last month that Abbas had been offered a huge paycheck to abandon Jerusalem – something he has vehemently refused to do.
“President Abbas told them: All the billions of dollars in the world will not make me give up one inch of the soil of Jerusalem,” Al-Habbash said. He noted that the plan has yet to win support from the Arab world, despite Washington’s assurances that they are on board.

The US-propelled draft resolution targeting Palestinian Hamas has failed to pass a two-thirds majority threshold at the UN General Assembly vote in what is seen is a major upset for the outgoing US envoy to the UN Nikki Hailey.
The resolution garnered 87 votes in favor and 57 against, thus falling short of securing a required two-thirds majority for the motion to pass. Thirty-six member-states abstained from the vote.
The resolution should have condemned Hamas, which has been in control of the Gaza Strip from 2007 to 2014 and again since 2016. The document was in the works for several days, as Haley was seeking to reconcile the text with the EU and major Arab nations, the US allies.

The final draft denounces Hamas “for repeatedly firing rockets into Israel and for inciting violence, thereby putting civilians at risk,” demands it and other militant groups, such as Palestinian Islamic Jihad “cease all provocative actions and violent activity,” including “airborne incendiary devices.”
The document also includes a call for intra-Palestinian reconciliation and the return of the control over the Gaza Strip to the Palestinian Administration, reportedly included at the insistence of the US’s European allies.

Following a closed-door UN security council meeting this Thursday requested by Russia and China, US ambassador Nikki Haley told press members that Russia is trying “to lift banking restrictions” against North Korea, an option which she says is off the table: “So now we know what their agenda is, we know exactly why they’re trying to do it and we’re not going to let it happen.”
At the meeting, the Russian Mission to the UN released a statement referring to “serious humanitarian problems” resulting from the current American-championed sanctions. The statement claims the restrictions are interfering with the ability of nonprofits and humanitarian aid organizations to work in North Korea – even though they’re not directly subject to the sanctions regime. It urges the council “to examine as soon as possible the options to rectify the situation using the entire tool set available to the UNSC.”
Echoing Trump’s statements on the matter, Haley responded that sanctions would not be lifted since the North Koreans “haven’t done anything to warrant us getting rid of them yet,” adding that “The threat is still there.”
Earlier this year Haley accused Russia of violating the sanctions agreements and asked the UN to impose punishment. Russia, China and South Korea, in turn, have been pushing for the US to make small concessions in order to facilitate dialogue.

The secretive, heavily evangelical CNP has developed a reputation for anointing Republican presidents. Donald Trump and George W. Bush both spoke in front of the CNP before setting out on the campaign trail, and Trump appointed several members to his cabinet in gratitude, including Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway.
Haley revealed that, while she began 2016 as a never-Trumper, a job offer from Trump’s Chief of Staff Reince Priebus was all she needed to convert to a disciple of the Donald. Mercifully, she turned down that first offer, admitting she was completely underqualified to be secretary of state. She had no such qualms about becoming ambassador to the UN, however, even though she told Trump at the time, “Honestly, I don’t even know what the UN does.”
Once inside the halls of power, Haley chose Henry Kissinger as her mentor, the veteran warmonger who served in the Nixon and Ford administrations, whose policies resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. She met with him every two months and apparently learned a lot, adopting a form of his “madman theory” in her diplomatic dealings.
Attempting to wring a “Yes” vote from China on sanctions against North Korea, Haley told the Chinese ambassador she was concerned that Trump would invade the recalcitrant nuclear power. He’s “kind of unpredictable, and I don’t know what he’ll do,” she warned.
The audience went wild as Haley touted the US’ withdrawal from the UN Human Rights Council as the fulfillment of its “duty” to protect Israel, complaining that the body had condemned the Jewish state dozens of times but had issued only nine such condemnations against her favorite bogeyman, Iran. The Trump administration’s relocation of its Israeli embassy to Jerusalem and its cutoff of UNRWA aid to millions of Palestinian refugees also received thunderous applause from the assembled Zionists.
In light of her CNP speech, Haley’s rabidly pro-Israel track record looks less like froth-mouthed fanaticism and more like savvy (if still terrifying) politics. The evangelical group is nothing if not pro-Israel, and her tenacious defense of the country’s alleged war crimes in the face of international condemnation certainly endeared her to big-money GOP donors like Sheldon Adelson.
Media are expressly forbidden from CNP events, and it’s easy to see why. Max Blumenthal, who wrote up the event for Harpers, was able to infiltrate the group but was promptly shown the door when a member recognized him.
Haley’s departure from the Trump administration was lamented by establishment media including the New York Times, which called her a “pragmatic envoy” and urged the president to appoint “a replacement in her mold.” In light of her CNP speech, the Times could simply have been setting the stage for an endorsement of Nikki Haley 2020.

Ex-Trump adviser Steve Bannon has offered up a stinging back-handed compliment to Nikki Haley, describing the former UN envoy as “ambitious as Lucifer.” He said her resignation announcement before the midterms is “suspect.”
Bannon said in an interview with Bloomberg News that the timing of Haley’s decision was “horrific” and “suspect,” noting that it undermines the administration’s efforts to rally support ahead of November’s midterm elections.
“Everything she said about stepping down could have been done on the evening of November 6. The timing could not have been worse,” he added.
Although Bannon credited Haley as “very talented,” he also said that she was “incredibly politically ambitious – ambitious as Lucifer.”
However, some on social media questioned whether Bannon meant his comment as a compliment or an insult.
“Can you clear something up for me? If Steve Bannon says she is ‘ambitious as Lucifer,’ is that a dig or is he showing admiration?” one Twitter user pondered.

Another joked: “Steve Bannon knows Lucifer personally,” in an apparent dig at the former White House strategist’s controversial ties to the “alt-right.”
Haley announced her resignation as US ambassador to the UN on Tuesday, igniting speculation that she may be preparing for a presidential run. Another popular theory is that she was forced to resign after being unmasked as the anonymous author of an op-ed published by the New York Times last month, which made a number of incendiary but unsubstantiated claims, including that there was a shadow government of “adults” preventing Trump from leading the US astray.

Haley, however, says that she is not running for office and will campaign for Trump. The president on Wednesday defended the timing of Haley’s announcement, arguing that there’s “no good time” to resign and that if she had waited until after the midterms it would have sparked similar suspicions Haley’s political ambitions.
Her resignation announcement caught much of the Trump administration off guard, according to reports, including White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Vice President Mike Pence.

Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the United Nations, announced on Oct. 9th she intended to resign from her position at the end of 2018 in an Oval Office press conference with President Donald Trump.
The administration has been rocked by high-profile departures — including Reince Priebus as chief of staff and James Comey as FBI director — since Trump took office in January 2017.
Here are all the top-level people who’ve either been fired or resigned from the administration, and why they left:

Nikki Haley, the US Ambassador to the United Nations and former Governor of South Carolina, announced her resignation on Oct. 9th.
After Axios first reported the news, President Donald Trump announced to reporters in the Oval Office that Haley would resign at the end of 2018.
While the reason for her resignation was unclear, Trump said she previously told him she wanted to “take a break” after serving in the post for two years.
Haley was considered a moderating, stable force in the Trump cabinet who supported a strong US presence in the UN, sometimes at odds with National Security John Bolton, who takes a more hawkish stance on foreign affairs.
Appearing beside Trump in the Oval Office, Haley touted making progress on issues including trade and nuclear disarmament in Iran and North Korea. Trump praised Haley’s work, saying she could “have her pick” of roles if she wanted to return to the White House.
Haley also put to rest speculation that her resignation meant a presidential run for her in 2020.
“No, I am not running in 2020,” she said.

Trump announced in a tweet on July 5 that he had accepted embattled Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt’s resignation.
“Within the Agency Scott has done an outstanding job, and I will always be thankful to him for this,” Trump wrote.
At the time of his resignation, Pruitt was the subject of several federal ethics investigations for his lavish spending habits, his suspected conflicts of interests with lobbyists, and for reportedly enlisting his official government staff to carry out his personal errands.
Democratic lawmakers accused Pruitt of using staff to get him a Trump tower mattress, to try to get his wife a position managing a Chick-fil-A franchise, and to find his family a new apartment in a posh DC neighborhood.

Tom Bossert, Trump’s homeland security adviser, was reportedly fired from his position by John Bolton, the new national security adviser.
Bossert’s firing came on the second day of Bolton’s tenure, April 10. He worked closely with former national security adviser Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster, ousted earlier this month, and is reportedly a close ally of chief of staff John Kelly.
“The president is grateful for Tom’s commitment to the safety and security of our great country,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement confirming Bossert’s departure. “President Trump thanks him for his patriotic service and wishes him well.”

US President Donald Trump further fueled speculation his administration was pushing for regime change in Venezuela, echoing calls from his UN envoy Nikki Haley and Vice President Mike Pence to that effect.
“Venezuela is a mess,” Trump said on Friday. “The place needs to be cleaned up, and people need to be taken care of.” The comment came during a photo-op at the White House with the President of Chile Sebastian Piñera, who is visiting Washington.
Shortly before that, Pence retweeted a photo of Haley addressing a gathering of Venezuelan dissidents in New York on Thursday through a megaphone.
“We’ll continue to hold the regime accountable until democracy is restored,” the vice-president wrote.
The US stands w/the people of Venezuela & against Maduro’s corrupt, failed socialist gov't. The US will provide $ 48M more for Venezuelans affected by the crisis & imposed sanctions on Maduro’s inner circle. We’ll continue to hold the regime accountable until democracy is restored https://t.co/WwWZgO1PvW

“We are going to fight for Venezuela and we are going to continue doing it until Maduro is gone!” Haley had shouted to the crowd, calling for an end to President Nicolas Maduro’s rule. “We need your voices to be loud, and I will tell you, the US voice is going to be loud.”
Haley also retweeted the image, first posted by the US mission to the UN.
“Socialism and corruption have taken freedom away from the people of Venezuela. Proud to join these great people protesting the Maduro dictatorship,” she said.
Trump blasted Maduro’s government in his speech to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, accusing the “socialist regime” of inflicting “anguish” upon the people that caused over two million to flee the country.
“It’s a regime that frankly could be toppled very quickly by the military, if the military decides to do that,” he told reporters afterward.
