Warning: The following contains spoilers for Tuesday’s harrowing penultimate Season 4 episode of Animal Kingdom. Proceed at your own peril.

We kinda knew that Animal Kingdom’s baddest of badasses wasn’t going to wither away in a hospital bed as she feared. But I don’t think any of us could have guessed that Smurf’s last stand would go down the horrifying way that it did in “Ghosts.” Read on, and we’ll go over all the gory details of the tremendous John Wells-written and -directed episode.

‘A DEAL’S A DEAL’ | In the 1970s, Janine, still reeling from Colin’s demise, thought she’d struck a deal with Jed to buy a car for $ 500 so that she could hit the road. Only, after he’d tuned up the vehicle, the sleazebag decided that he wanted “some fun” with her instead of the money. When she pointed out the obvious — that she was eight freakin’ months pregnant — he replied, “You still got a mouth.” Charming, no? In the end, Janine wound up grabbing him by the balls, whacking him with a shovel and taking off on foot — only to have him tackle her, sending her into premature labor with Julia and Pope, who we learned had been born with teeth. (This, according to Laney, meant that he’d be a warrior.)

animal-kingdom-recap-season-4-episode-12-ghostsIn the present, as Smurf made her way home after a night of partying, Angela continued to try to set herself up as a replacement mother figure by baking a coffee cake. Yeah, yeah, but how are your pies, Ang? Across town, Deran informed Adrian that their destination was Indonesia. “Great surfing, no extradition treaty.” Once Smurf made it back to Casa Cody, she got dressed for the heist, which mainly involved putting on enough gold jewelry to rival Mr. T’s collection, and flushed all of her pills. Wait, no — most of her pills. She decided to leave out a bunch of oxy to tempt Angela (who nearly drowned in the tub after taking the bait). Smurf also threw out her would-be replacement’s coffee cake and, being the fastidious housekeeper that she is, washed the pan.

animal-kingdom-recap-season-4-episode-12-ghosts‘SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE’ | Riding with J to Jed’s compound, Smurf first made small talk about whether Craig would be a good dad. Maybe if he got a book on the subject. After all, “they’ve got a book for everything nowadays.” Then she revealed what had to have been the real reason that she wanted to travel with J: to fill him in on the threat that Adrian posed. “J, I don’t think Deran is strong enough to handle this,” she purred. “Do you, baby?” Once the group arrived at the compound, J, Deran and Craig went to work breaking into the bunker while Smurf and Pope went to the house to keep Jed and his sons occupied. Of course, Smurf also made time to visit Colin’s grave and, for what we thought had to be the last time (but wasn’t yet), mess with Pope’s head. First, she told him they were standing at his father’s grave, then she introduced Jed and Odin as his uncle and cousin.

animal-kingdom-recap-season-4-episode-12-ghostsOnce J texted his grandmother that the job was done, she got down to her own personal business: She asked to buy some guns so that Jed would discover that his bunker had been chained from the inside. She then murdered him and got into a shootout with not only Odin but his brothers, who’d picked that unfortunate moment to return from fence-mending. As shot after shot was fired, Smurf was hit in the leg. But that didn’t piss her off nearly as much as Pope carrying her to safety. “You son of a bitch!” she screamed at him. He’d thwarted her plan to die in the same spot as Colin. When the two of them met up outside the compound with J, Craig and Deran, Smurf took Deran’s gun from him and ordered Craig to give his to Pope. “Shoot me, Andrew,” she demanded, seizing one last opportunity to warp his mind. “Don’t you get it? I’m already dead.” When he hesitated, she actually fired at him, grazing his ear. “Shoot me, you goddamn p—y!” she raged. Finally, J did what Pope couldn’t, and the wicked witch was dead.

animal-kingdom-recap-season-4-episode-12-ghosts‘WE’RE GETTING THE HELL OUTTA HERE’ | As the episode drew to a close and we began to catch our breath, the boys laid out Smurf’s body in the garage at Casa Cody. Making a fine case for why he should become the gang’s leader, J concerned himself with the truck that Pope had left behind at the compound and instructed Deran to call in his doctor so that Smurf’s death certificate wouldn’t alert the cops to the fact that she had been shot in the head. Later, Renn comforted Craig, Deran told Adrian they were never coming back to Oceanside, Angela kissed up to J anew, and Pope… our poor, broken Pope sweetly kissed his mother’s cold forehead. We’re entering uncharted territory, folks. It’s the end of an era, and what the next one will look like, I can only imagine. What did you think of Smurf’s last stand — and that performance by Ellen Barkin? The word “Da-amn!” comes to mind, no? Also, check out writer/director John Wells’ take on the episode here.

EastEnders spoilers: Couple in grave DANGER as they're caught out in devastating scenes? https://briefnews.eu/eastenders-spoilers-couple-in-grave-danger-as-theyre-caught-out-in-devastating-scenes/ https://briefnews.eu/eastenders-spoilers-couple-in-grave-danger-as-theyre-caught-out-in-devastating-scenes/#respond Wed, 13 Mar 2019 00:40:41 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/eastenders-spoilers-couple-in-grave-danger-as-theyre-caught-out-in-devastating-scenes/

Albert Square could see some forbidden romance in upcoming episodes.

Bex Fowler (played by Jasmine Armfield) and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) are growing closer on EastEnders.

But as viewers know, Kush and Martin Fowler (James Bye) have a strong bond that nothing could break – except maybe this.

How could Kush possible expect Martin to cope with the idea of his best friend and his daughter together?

Will Martin end up turning violent on the BBC soap if he catches Bex and Kush in a very uncompromising position?

What’s more, Bex is still a teenager living a drama-ridden life, whereas Kush is decades older with children of his own.

Is the potential union destined to crash and burn? Or could it be true love for the couple?

Next week’s episodes sees Bex and Kush reminiscing and sharing their memories of beloved late teen Shakil Kazemi, who died in Walford last year.

The fan-favourite character was the victim of a terrible and tragic knife crime, as the soap’s bosses wanted to shine a light on the growing numbers of dead teenagers to the horrible act of violence in the UK.

While Bex and Kush simply remain friends on the soap at the moment, in true EastEnders fashion things could quickly progress into something more.

What’s more, Kush is becoming fiercely protective of his best friend’s daughter, and even gets involved when it appears Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) is beginning to show too much interest.

Bex is struggling with the pressure of revising for her GCSEs in upcoming episodes, and after a bust-up with her best friend Louise Mitchell Stuart finds her upset and alone in the street.

An angry Kush tells Martin straight away Stuart is causing trouble for Bex, but upsetting the teenager’s father is a risky move.

Seeing red, Martin marches over to Stuart and Dot Branning’s (June Brown) house for answers, but he won’t get the ones he wants.

Frustrated Kush has gotten the wrong end of the stick, Martin has an argument with his mate, but while the story dies down Bex is still on the lookout for the older man too.

Kush acquires some faux fur coats for his market stall from the Slater family, and is delighted.

Unfortunately Bex discovers he may have been duped with some stolen real fur ones instead.

Determined to rush to his rescue, Bex, tries to help the stall-worker, so are the soap’s producers setting up a powerful new love story for the pair?

EastEnders continues Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.

‘Leaping out of the grave’: Rare Iron Age chariot with horses is an ‘unparalleled’ find https://briefnews.eu/leaping-out-of-the-grave-rare-iron-age-chariot-with-horses-is-an-unparalleled-find/ https://briefnews.eu/leaping-out-of-the-grave-rare-iron-age-chariot-with-horses-is-an-unparalleled-find/#respond Tue, 11 Dec 2018 07:38:37 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/leaping-out-of-the-grave-rare-iron-age-chariot-with-horses-is-an-unparalleled-find/

Archaeologists have uncovered a “spectacular” Iron Age chariot, two horses, and man buried as though they were ready to take off, in an area in Yorkshire where a different chariot was discovered last year.

The amazing discovery was found in an Iron Age grave in a building site in Pocklington by MAP Archaeological Practice. “This is a new burial rite which has never been seen before,” Paula Ware from MAP Archaeological Practice told the Yorkshire Post.

The two horses buried with the chariot look as though they are “leaping upwards out of the grave,” and archaeologists believe they may be have been buried standing up, with their heads potentially left above ground. They were positioned in the grave with their hooves off the ground and back legs bent.

“It looked as though their skulls were removed centuries ago,” Ware explained.

“Possibly the heads were coming out of the graves. Did they go in alive, who knows? There’s no evidence of a ramp.”

Inside the chariot, a man in his late 40s was buried, and his remains were found in the fetal position. His head was surrounded by the bones of six piglets, likely an offering, and he was buried with a shield and brooch.

Pig bones aren’t an unusual find in a grave like this, but the large amount suggests the man was extremely important. “Normally there would be a quarter of a [pig] jaw,” Ware said. “He was someone so significant.”

Another man’s body was found nearby, which had nine spears through its chest and evidence of blunt force trauma. The significance of this is unknown, but, while some have speculated it was a kind of vampire-like ritual to ensure the man is dead, it may also have been a way to release his spirit.

Typically, around this time of year, sea surface temperatures in the Atlantic reach their warmest levels for the summer. At the same time, wind shear across much of the tropical Atlantic ebbs, leading to an outbreak of tropical activity.

Rarely is the outbreak so furious as the current explosion of three hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean with the possibility of a fourth tropical storm developing in the Gulf of Mexico this week. Of most immediate concern is Hurricane Florence, which has rapidly strengthened overnight and now presents a rare and substantial threat to the Carolinas and beyond due to high winds, storm surge and, for much of the US East Coast, the potential for extremely heavy rainfall.

In the Atlantic hurricane record, which goes back about 150 years and has limited reliability before 1950, there have just been 11 years (including this one) in which there have been three hurricanes active in the Atlantic basin, which includes the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico. Just twice, in 1893 and 1998, have four hurricanes been active at once, according to Colorado State University hurricane scientist Phil Klotzbach.

Juncker presents Trump with cemetery photo, but it’s not a grave warning https://briefnews.eu/juncker-presents-trump-with-cemetery-photo-but-its-not-a-grave-warning/ https://briefnews.eu/juncker-presents-trump-with-cemetery-photo-but-its-not-a-grave-warning/#respond Thu, 26 Jul 2018 11:04:48 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/juncker-presents-trump-with-cemetery-photo-but-its-not-a-grave-warning/

Top Brussels official Jean-Claude Juncker, known for his somewhat eccentric behavior, has given Donald Trump an unusual gift – a photo of a cemetery. But it’s not an ominous threat.

The European Commission President visited Washington this Wednesday in an effort to avoid a trade war that has been brewing since the start of the summer.

Speaking on the results of the meeting with Trump, Juncker explained the symbolism of his gift, a photo of a military cemetery in Luxembourg, to the US president. The present wasn’t meant to be sinister, but was aimed at reminding Trump, who had repeatedly locked horns with EU officials, that Europe and the US share a common history, Juncker said.

The Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial has the remains of over 5,000 US servicemen, including a grave of renowned General George Patton who led the US army during the Allied invasion of Normandy back in 1944.

“Dear Donald, let us remember our common history,” a message written on the photo said, according to Juncker. “And we should do that even in more difficult times,” he stressed hinting at the strained relations between Washington and its transatlantic allies.

“At a time when tensions might feel strained, it is more important than ever for young people on both sides of the Atlantic to learn about the power of our past,” Luxembourg-born Juncker continued, saying that after the devastation of WWII “our parents and grandparents” vowed “Never again.”

It’s not clear how Trump, who is not exactly known for his subtlety, reacted to the cemetery photo gift. The US and the EU have been at loggerheads over trade after Trump announced tariffs on steel and aluminum, provoking a response from Brussels. US goods that have been impacted by the response from America’s traditional allies include Bourbon whiskey, orange juice and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

During the Wednesday meeting Juncker confirmed that the EU will build more terminals in order to import liquid natural gas (LNG) from the US, while Trump announced that the EU will be buying “a lot more” soybeans from the US, and that Brussels and Washington will work to eliminate tariffs, barriers and subsidies on “non-auto industrial goods.”

Why funerals are no longer a grave business https://briefnews.eu/why-funerals-are-no-longer-a-grave-business/ https://briefnews.eu/why-funerals-are-no-longer-a-grave-business/#respond Thu, 21 Jun 2018 05:44:55 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/why-funerals-are-no-longer-a-grave-business/

GETTY

NATURAL: Peter Stringfellow opted to be buried in beautiful woodland

And for increasing numbers of British people, our funeral is becoming a symbol not only of our passing but of our lasting impact on the world.

Around 600,000 people die every year in the UK, and as concern rises about the effect that a traditional burial or cremation has on the environment, more people are turning to eco-friendly, or “green” funerals.

This afternoon former nightclub impresario Peter Stringfellow, who died earlier this month aged 77, will be given a final send-off in an intimate ceremony at GreenAcres Chiltern, a 72-acre woodland park in Buckinghamshire, where his remains will ultimately become part of the ecosystem of the wood itself.

“He wasn’t a churchgoer so it would have been a bit hypocritical given his naughty lifestyle for him to spend eternity in a churchyard,” a friend told the Daily Express this week.

ALAMY

CHOICES: More people are thinking positively about their final send-off

Many people are aiming to leave the world in a similar way to how they lived in it

Keely Thompson

Stringfellow’s funeral reflects a growing trend for being laid to rest in natural burial grounds rather than traditional cemeteries.

The first such burial ground in the UK was opened in Carlisle in 1993 and 25 years later there are now more than 270 sites to be found either in woodland parks, natural meadows, or designated woodland sites in larger cemeteries.

Graves are usually not marked with headstones but with trees or flowers, although some are completely anonymous and the whole woodland is considered as a memorial .

Prices range from just £200 to have your ashes scattered in a wood, to about £1,500 for a full burial.

Keely Thompson of GreenAcres says: “We believe in creating a community at our parks. Our burial and ashes plots are marked by a solid oak memorial post rather than stone and we do not allow artificial flowers, teddy bears or balloons.

“Families welcome this regulation as they often say they have picked our parks for their natural beauty .”

ALAMY

PEACEFUL: Burial sites can be picturesque

And it seems the simplicity of such funerals is appealing to more and more of us.

The National Association of Funeral Directors recently reported how “woodland/green burials” have become the choice of 12 per cent of British adults.

Judith Dandy of Dandelion Farewells, an independent funeral fi rm that specialises in bespoke funerals with a strong environmental ethos, says more people are rejecting traditional burials in the town cemetery or local churchyard in favour of something closer to nature.

She says: “People are thinking more about their carbon footprint and with that has come an awareness of other environmental factors.

“So they’re even thinking about what material the coffin is made of.” These might be made from cardboard, banana leaf, wicker, bamboo or willow .

“Shrouds are similarly biodegradable, usually made from cotton. Many firms will also eschew embalming the body.

“Much of what we think of as ‘traditional’ is actually Victorian – all that pomp and ceremony, the hearse, the cortège,” says Judith.

“Even the wooden coffin is a relatively modern invention. A few hundred years ago most people wouldn’t actually be buried in a coffin. They’d be carried to the grave in the parish coffin, which would be made of oak mostly so it would be strong enough to be reused over and over again.”

With the rise in popularity of eco-funerals has come a rejection of other “traditional” aspects of the ceremony.

Keely Thompson says: “Many people are aiming to leave the world in a similar way to how they lived in it. Even though families can have a religious service at our parks many come to us with a celebrant or humanist leading their service.”

GETTY

TRADITION: You don’t have to be buried in a cemetery

More extreme green funerals might involve “organic burial pods” where the body is placed in a pod along with the seed of a tree, or the transformation of your ashes into a “reef ball” which is then added to efforts to promote coral growth in the sea.

If such options might still seem a little too much, the lasting effect is not only to lay a loved one to rest in an environmentally aware manner but to help provide a lasting legacy of their own.

“Unlike cemeteries, natural burial grounds have a reason to exist beyond burials,” says Judith Dandy.

“They’re also beautiful woodlands to walk in. In many it won’t be obvious anyone is buried there. The intention is to make a minimum mark on the environment, for now and for generations to come.”

Medieval woman gave birth in her grave after ancient ‘neurosurgery’, scientists discover https://briefnews.eu/medieval-woman-gave-birth-in-her-grave-after-ancient-neurosurgery-scientists-discover/ https://briefnews.eu/medieval-woman-gave-birth-in-her-grave-after-ancient-neurosurgery-scientists-discover/#respond Sun, 25 Mar 2018 23:30:06 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/medieval-woman-gave-birth-in-her-grave-after-ancient-neurosurgery-scientists-discover/

A pregnant woman who underwent skull surgery in medieval Italy gave birth after she died, according to a team of scientists who examined the ancient remains.

The case was identified by researchers as coffin birth – a phenomenon that occurs when a deceased pregnant woman’s fetus is expelled within the grave. Known as postmortem fetal extrusion, it occurs following build-up of gas pressure within the decomposing body.

Researchers from the Universities of Ferrara and Bologna in Italy analysed the skeleton of the woman, discovered in 2010 in the town of Imola, Bologna. The remains are believed to date back to between 600 to 700 AD.

The woman was found with the remains of a fetus between her legs. Based on its positioning, researchers concluded it was a case of coffin birth. The fetus’ head and upper body were found outside the woman’s pelvic cavity, while its legs appeared to be inside. Scientists say it was at 38 weeks’ gestation and may have been delivered partially.

The woman also had a five millimeter circular hole in her skull, suggesting she had undergone trepanation, a surgical procedure that involves boring a hole in the skull by either drilling or scraping away layers of bone.

As trepanation was once used in the treatment of preeclampsia (high blood pressure related to pregnancy) the researchers proposed that she may have undergone skull surgery for this purpose.

The woman lived for around one week following the surgery, was buried while still pregnant, and had a coffin birth while her body decomposed, researchers concluded. Details of the study are published in the journal World Neurosurgery.

This is not first documented archaeological case of ‘coffin birth’. Last year, a similar case was uncovered at a Black Death burial site near Genoa, Italy.

The Walking Dead season 8: Carl Grimes BETRAYED by Rick Grimes from beyond the grave https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-carl-grimes-betrayed-by-rick-grimes-from-beyond-the-grave/ https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-carl-grimes-betrayed-by-rick-grimes-from-beyond-the-grave/#respond Mon, 05 Mar 2018 04:38:05 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-carl-grimes-betrayed-by-rick-grimes-from-beyond-the-grave/

The Walking Dead fans have only just got over the death of the beloved character Carl Grimes (played by Chandler Riggs).

With his father Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) now in mourning, viewers have expected him to adhere to Carl’s dying wishes.

Carl’s emotional goodbye saw him telling Rick that he ought to turn over a new leaf and to stop the fighting, in an effort to build a better future.

What’s more, he gave Rick two letters, one addressed to him, and another to Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), providing instructions on what he wants them to do with their lives.

Tomorrow’s episode, titled The Lost and the Plunderers, sees Simon (Steven Ogg) take on Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) over the loyalty of The Scavengers.

Following the community’s harrowing fate, Enid (Katelyn Nacon) and Aaron (Ross Marquand) arrive at Oceanside, as they try to convince Cyndie (Sydney Park) to assist Alexandria in taking on The Saviors.

But after she denies the request, viewers will see Rick contacting Negan about their ongoing fight.

Speaking to him on a walkie talkie, Rick reads the letters to Negan, telling him what Carl wanted from the two of them.

He reveals that Carl wants the leaders to stop fighting, and to work together to stop the constant murder that is happening.

True to his dying words, Carl pleads for peace from the two leaders.

However Rick’s actions turn sinister, as he tells Negan that a ceasefire will never happen – going against Carl’s wishes.

The pair lock words one final time before cutting the radio frequency, confirming that their war is back on.

With Rick going back on his final promise to Carl, does he have a plan to stop the war?

Or is his lust for Negan’s death too great to be stopped?

The Walking Dead continues tomorrow on FOX UK.

‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Deleted Scene Features a Cameo from Beyond the Grave https://briefnews.eu/thor-ragnarok-deleted-scene-features-a-cameo-from-beyond-the-grave/ https://briefnews.eu/thor-ragnarok-deleted-scene-features-a-cameo-from-beyond-the-grave/#respond Fri, 23 Feb 2018 14:59:06 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/thor-ragnarok-deleted-scene-features-a-cameo-from-beyond-the-grave/ Thor Ragnarok Deleted Scene

Thor: Ragnarok is now available to buy on digital download, and that includes all of the special features that come with it. Besides the new Team Darryl short film featuring The Grandmaster coming to Earth and moving in with Thor’s old roommate, fans have taken notice of a certain deleted scene that brings back a Marvel Cinematic Universe character from beyond the grave.

In order to effectively discuss this Thor Ragnarok deleted scene, we’ll have to dive into spoiler territory for another Marvel Studios movie, so if you’re not caught up on the MCU, then you may not want to read any further. You’ve been warned!

Before Thor: Ragnarok hit theaters last fall, blockbuster summer was kicked off by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The film gave a touching farewell to Michael Rooker as Yondu, who sacrificed his life in order to save his adoptive son Peter Jason Quill, aka Star-Lord (Chris Pratt). He’s given a colorful funeral complete with a tribute from the Ravagers he was loyal to for most of his life.

Therefore, it’s surprising to hear that a deleted scene from the Thor: Ragnarok home video release features a cameo by Michael Rooker as Yondu. Here’s a screenshot of the Thor Ragnarok deleted scene in question:

Thor Ragnarok Deleted Scene

What is This Thor Ragnarok Deleted Scene with Yondu?

We can’t post the video of the deleted scene featuring Yondu here since it’s not officially available online. But the scene has Yondu appearing on Asgard during the scene when Hela (Cate Blanchett) has instructed Skurge (Karl Urban) to kill an Asgardian woman after she refuses to tell her where Heimdall and the rest of Asgard’s people are hiding.

In the movie, another Asgard citizen steps up to give Hela the information she wants so Skurge doesn’t kill anyone. But the deleted scene has Yondu stepping up as the one who interrupts the execution. He says, “Hold on a minute, Haus.” Then he looks disoriented for a moment and asks if anyone can tell him where Kevin and Lou’s offices are. Someone off-screen points him in another direction and Yondu goes about his business.

It’s Yondu’s line that keys us into the fact that this was never meant to be a real scene in Thor: Ragnarok, because the two names he mentions are a reference to Kevin Feige and Louis D’Esposito, two of Marvel’s producers. However, doesn’t it seem weird that Michael Rooker would get into full make-up and wardrobe as Yondu for a joke scene that was never meant to be in Thor: Ragnarok? Why take the time and spend the money to do that? Well, we have an explanation for that.

Michael Rooker Falls Asleep in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Blooper

How and When Did Michael Rooker Shoot This Scene?

Originally fans might just think that there was production overlap between Thor: Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, especially most of the Marvel movies now shoot in Atlanta Georgia and have overlapped with each other before. But Thor: Ragnarok shot mostly down in Australia while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 remained in Atlanta. In addition, the reshoots for Thor: Ragnarok that happened last summer took place two months after the Guardians sequel was already in theaters.

So what was Michael Rooker doing as Yondu while Thor: Ragnarok was still shooting? James Gunn explains:

Yondu isn’t part of the normal version of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout ride that is now in place at Disneyland, but his ghost makes an appearance in the Monsters After Dark Halloween makeover the ride received last fall. So if Gunn is correct, Rooker was shooting footage for that at the same time Thor: Ragnarok was doing reshoots and they decided to have a little fun on set.

This all makes perfect sense, and it would explain why Michael Rooker was also seen last August in an extensive Instagram live feed of his own giving a tour of the Marvel Studios offices while in full Yondo make-up and wardrobe:

Notice that he’s wearing the same sunglasses that he is in the still from the deleted scene in question. So it’s likely that this all took place on the same day and Rooker made the most out of being in full costume. We’re certainly not mad about it.

As for anyone who tries to spin this Thor: Ragnarok deleted scene as a way to convince you that Yondu will make some kind of comeback, they don’t have your best interests at heart. James Gunn has already confirmed that Yondu is dead and he won’t be coming back. Still, it was cool to see the blue guy pop up in another Marvel movie, albeit in an unconventional way.
