The Russian leader didn’t arrive empty-handed. Not only did he give the bride a beautiful bouquet of yellow and white flowers, he also brought along the Kuban Cossack Choir to entertain the newlyweds and the guests. Putin also had a dance with the bride.
Putin was invited to attend the wedding en route to his upcoming visit to Germany. The ceremony is taking place at a vineyard in the village of Gamlitz, in Austria’s Styria region.
The bride and groom chose traditional attire for their special day. Kneissl donned a white dirndl, a traditional Alpine dress, while Meilinger was dressed in a green vest and black trousers.
The VIP guest list also includes Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache, and Transport and Technology Minister Norbert Hofer.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron ahead of the World Cup final between France and Croatia. He marked the occasion by presenting France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron with flowers.
The French president was invited to the Kremlin a few hours before the World Cup final. It’s Macron’s second visit to Russia in the past few days. On Tuesday, he attended the semi-final in St. Petersburg, where France defeated Belgium 1-0.
Russia’s president presented Macron’s wife, Brigitte, with a bouquet of flowers. Putin’s habit of giving his female guests flowers entered the spotlight earlier this year, when German media considered his bouquet for Chancellor Angela Merkel to be a veiled masculine insult. Russia’s leader, however, remains unshaken in his ways of courtesy.
“I wish to congratulate the whole country, the host country of this World Cup, congratulate it on such excellent organization of this event. It was followed in all corners of the world, people from all around the world came here. It was organized with magnificent security, everything was just perfect,” Macron told Putin at the meeting. While the two leaders focused on football, they also discussed bilateral cooperation and outstanding international issues.
Earlier on Sunday, Putin met his Croatian counterpart Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, who also came to support her national team. Russia’s leader presented Grabar-Kitarovic with flowers as well, receiving a football jersey bearing his name in return.

Eamonn Holmes and Ranvir Singh hosted a debate about floral tributes in the light of the Hither Green tragedy last week.
Ranvir, 40, and 58-year-old Eamonn spoke to Dr Pam Spurr and Helen Croydon who fiercely debated the subject.
And Eamonn wasn’t shy about airing his opinion on the topic of people laying flowers for the burglar who died in Hither Green earlier this month.
He started the debate saying: “I think the police could soothe escalating tensions by taking them away. It’s intimidating.
“Believe me, that’s calling card to say we know where you live – but that’s just my view.”
Journalist Helen said: “To do it publicly, where everything is going to rot, and I’m not just talking about Hither Green case – like George Michael – they become a hazard.
“People slow down, cars slow down, someone’s got to clear them all up.”
Eamonn said: “Helen, one of the ladies who we spoke to said ‘yes do it’, but after some time take them away.
“I agree with you – there has to be a time where you forget that and move on.”
Dr Pam Spurr added: “You can choose not to look…”
But Eamonn made his feelings clear, snapping: “No, no. That’s what a cemetery is for.”
In Hither Green floral tributes were ripped down again on Tuesday night from a wooden fence opposite the scene of last week’s incident on South Park Crescent.
The residential road was quiet and a single police car was parked on the drive of Mr Osborn-Brooks’ house which is still cordoned off.
The makeshift shrine had been re-erected for a second time by members of Henry Vincent’s family who went back to the crescent after they were torn down by a neighbour.
Journalist Helen said: “I think there are much better ways of doing it than tokenism.
“Most of us in this country who lay floral tributes do it because we think it’s a thing we should do. It’s consumerism.
“People with more money can buy bigger bouquets.”
Dr Pam responded, saying: “Who are you to judge how people grieve?
“After the Manchester arena tragedy the families felt comforted by people taking time out of their day to lay flowers.”
The debate escalated into Ranvir, Dr Pam, Helen and Eamonn talking over one another at various points.
Antoinette York said on Twitter: “Can’t even understand or cope with people talking over each other @GMB how is anyone meant to understand ….flower tribute debate.”
Other fans of the show feel strongly about the topic. Brenda Bolton tweeted: “They should put their flowers outside Vincent’s own house NOT outside the house where HE was committing a CRIME !!”
Derek Wiblin added: “Leaving flowers in public places is littering.”
And Lauren Crook waded in on the debate talking about the Manchester bombing victims’ floral tributes.
She tweeted: “Tribute to the Manchester Arena Victims, Setting flowers down to show repeat for people who have lost there lives to something so tragic and who didn’t deserve to die. A gathering of people, standing together.”
Sarah Ferguson, 58, is the fiery redhead who was married to Prince Andrew, also 58.
She is the Duchess of York, and her children Beatrice and Eugenie are princesses as grandchildren of Her Majesty the Queen.
The pretty young woman, who originally met Prince Andrew playing at the polo as a child, married her boyfriend at Westminster Abbey in London on 23 July.
She wore an ivory-silk wedding gown designed by Lindka Cierach.
Sarah Ferguson’s bouquet helped her to rebel, as she opted for a small spray, with Asiatic lilies, according to British Cut Flowers.
However, flowers also played another vital role in Sarah’s wedding – however, many may have missed it.
On her way into the church with her father Ronald Ferguson Sarah wore a crown of flowers.
The pretty design matched her bouquet, and was used to fix her veil in place.
Most royal brides wear tiaras, either their own family tiaras or one from the Queen’s collection, so many might have seen the flower crown as a form of snub from her majesty.
However, the flowers, which comprised her husband’s favourite – perfumed gardenias – had a secret.
After the wedding the flowers were removed to revealed the York Diamond Tiara, created especially for Fergie’s wedding – commissioned by the Queen.
Sarah Ferguson’s wedding tiara was described by Grant Mobley, a gemologist and Director at Pluczenik, as: “This picture-perfect classic is made entirely out of diamonds set in platinum with floral scrollwork and a large diamond of around 5 carats sitting on top.
“The value of such a piece is not easy to calculate without knowing details about the diamond sizes, qualities, and also the weight of the platinum.
“That being said, with the value of a top quality 5 carat stone like this tiara topper combined with the platinum and other diamonds, the value of this tiara would easily be more than $ 300,000 USD today.”
The ceremonial removing of the flowers was meant to signify Sarah’s becoming royal.
Sarah Ferguson was seen clubbing on a night out shortly after a palace source revealed to Express.co.uk details about her relationship with Prince Andrew.
Fergie was pictured leaving private members club Loulou’s in London, which counts guests such as Mick Jagger, Kate Moss and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters.
A palace insider recently revealed that Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew have a ‘strange’ relationship.
The Duchess of York is said to live with the Duke of York at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
The source said: “She used to stay in a different house, but she sold it and moved in after the Queen Mother died.
“It’s a strange relationship, no one really knows, even I don’t quite know how it all works.”
Prince Harry, 33, and Meghan Markle, 36, have chosen floral designer Philippa Craddock to create the church flowers for their May nuptials.
The happy couple will be surrounded by white garden roses, peonies and foxgloves on the Royal Wedding day. Meghan often shared images of peonies to her now-defunct Instagram page, saying they are her favourite flower.
Kensington Palace have revealed that Craddock, who is self-taught, will direct a team which includes florists from St George’s Chapel and Buckingham Palace to create the displays at St George’s Chapel and for St George’s Hall.
Floral displays in St George’s Chapel will be created using locally sourced foliage, much of which will be taken from the gardens and parkland of The Crown Estate and Windsor Great Park.
In keeping with other elements of the day, Ms Craddock will use flowers and plants that are in season and blooming naturally in May.
Kate Middleton, 36, also chose seasonal blooms for her 2011 wedding to Prince William, 35.
Meghan and Harry’s set-up will include branches of beech, birch and hornbeam, as well as white garden roses, peonies and foxgloves.
The palace said the designs will reflect the wild and natural landscapes from which many of the plants will be drawn.
The Royal Parks will also supply some pollinator-friendly plants from their wildflower meadows, which will be incorporated into the floral designs.
The palace said these plants provide a great habitat for bees and help to nurture and sustain entire ecosystems by promoting a healthy and biodiverse environment.
After the wedding, the couple have arranged for the flowers to be distributed to charitable organisations.
Ms Craddock is based in Central London, with a studio in Fulham and a flower shop in Selfridges.
Speaking about being chosen by royalty, she said: “I am excited and honoured to have been chosen by Prince Harry and Ms Meghan Markle to design and create their wedding flowers.
“Working with them has been an absolute pleasure. The process has been highly collaborative, free-flowing, creative and fun.
“The final designs will represent them as a couple, which I always aim to achieve in my work, with local sourcing, seasonality and sustainability being at the forefront.”
Ms Craddock started her business nine years ago, and her client list includes the V&A, Kensington Palace, Hampton Court Palace, Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior and British Vogue.
Using seasonal flowers and greenery, she works with local growers and fair-trade suppliers.
Her team have backgrounds in photography, metalwork, carpentry and fashion, and are said to share her passion for flowers and down to earth approach to floristry.
The baker of the royal wedding cake has also been revealed ahead of time by the Palace.
Claire Ptak, a pastry chef and owner of Violet Cakes, will create the royal wedding cake for the couple, who have chosen a lemon elderflower cake decorated with fresh flowers.
Women across the globe were presented with flowers as part of the #MakeHerSmile campaign, which celebrates International Women’s Day, an event that takes place every March 8th.
The fairer sex across the globe have been smothered with flowers, gifts, and an avalanche of kind words by random strangers, who chose to spend their Thursday afternoon making her smile on International Women’s Day.
From Moscow to London and across to Beijing, men took time off from their busy schedules to let women know their grand appreciation for their work, love, care and devotion that women of all ages continuously exhibit towards their partners.
In Russia, where women gained suffrage following the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917, the International Woman’s Day became an instant hit. Becoming a national holiday in honor of the 1910 International Socialist Woman’s Conference, the spring event has gathered a global momentum over the last century. The holiday became so popular that it was adopted in 1975 by the United Nations.
Keeping with historical leadership on the issue, Russia led the charge on Thursday with a massive display of a Tulip Bouquet statue right next to St. Basil’s cathedral in the heart of the capital. The Kremlin walls also honored women with a virtual greeting.

The message of love was then spread across the country and further, with the #MakeHerSmile campaign achieving a global scale.
While paratroopers in the city of Ryazan took to the sky to air-deliver spring flowers to women on the ground, others throughout the world took a much simpler approach by randomly greeting and congratulating women on the streets.
