Seb (played by Harry Visinoni) promised Alina (Ruxandra Porojnicu) he wouldn’t contact the authorities when he pieced together she was a victim of modern slavery, having discovered the salon worker was living in squalled conditions on Coronation Street. The plot has been running for several months, with numerous Weatherfield residents such as Jan (Piotr Baumann) and Paula Martin (Stirling Gallacher) supposedly linked to the human trafficking ring. This week’s instalment of the ITV soap saw Seb tell landlady Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) and her boyfriend about Alina’s situation with Jan promising to steer well clear of the salon, only for him to take a call arranging to help with the arrival of more girls to work at the salon. Next week’s episodes will see Alina’s ordeal finally come to an end when the police intervene, but will Seb be left seeking revenge as Jan manages to walk away free from the crime? After Seb is left beaten and bruised, Eileen will head to the nail salon where Jan is seen with Alina’s captors, Rachel (Verity Henry) and her husband Nikolai. As a brawl ensues between the foursome, the police arrive and will surely arrest Jan, Rachel and Nikolai on the spot for harbouring an illegal human trafficking network. Although it would seem Alina’s ordeal will come to an end, her captors and Jan may not be dealt justice for their crimes against the young women they’ve been subjecting to maltreatment. Coronation Street have been working closely with The Salvation Army to accurately portray the reality of the situation for many thousands of victim go human trafficking in the UK. Explaining how justice would be served on those guilty of modern slavery, Isobel Mcfarlane of The Salvation Army said in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk: “It is still hard to convict people because of the undercover nature of the crime. “There are now offences under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 which people can be convicted of and we are beginning to see traffickers given prison sentences for these crimes.” READ MORE: Coronation Street spoilers: Robert Preston’s exit revealed in devastating betrayal twist? “It is much easier to convict a trafficker if there are victim testimonies but understandably victims often remain very fearful of their traffickers, even when they are in custody,” Isobel continued. Does this mean Jan and his associates will walk away from what they’ve done to Alina and her friends without any means of punishment issued against them? Jan could then up and leave Weatherfield knowing his friends in Weatherfield would never forgive him for the pain he’s inflicted upon them. However, not one to take matters lightly, Seb will be wanting some sort of justice for Alina so will he be hot on Jan’s tracks to get revenge? There is a possibility Jan could be punished, as Isobel explains: “One thing which really helps is the support The Salvation Army is able to provide to victims of these crimes which makes them feel more comfortable to engage with the police and prosecutors.” “Our support workers come alongside the victim and work with them and the police to make the experience as positive and safe for the victim. “Only people who want to engage with the police, do so. “There is never any pressure,” Isobel added, so will Alina get the help she needs to put her life back on track, leaving her ordeal in the past with her captors behind bars? It’s yet to be revealed what the outcome will be for Eileen and Seb, as they are both put in harms way for trying to help Alina. Will they both make it through the explosive altercation, or could this be the end for one of the Weathefield’s most popular residents. Coronation Street continues Monday at 7.30pm on ITV. The Sky Sports pundit revealed how his house was targeted as a hideout on Twitter this morning. He wrote: “The Police get a kicking from time to time but where would be without them. “Apprehended a suspect who drove the wrong way down the M1 & then hid in my garden very late last night. Thanks to them nobody got hurt.” The tweet was met by a string of hilarious – yet predictable – responses. Referring to Kamara’s tendency to miss the action on Gilette Soccer Saturday, one fan wrote: “Did you see them or did Jeff tell you?” One supporter joked “UNBELIEVABLE CAR THEFT” while another tweeted a mock picture of Kamara from the show and wrote: “In my garden? Must have missed that” A fellow fan joked: “The biggest surprise Karmy is that you saw it. You’ll have to let Jeff know.” While scores of others delivered the line: “Unbelievable Jeff!” Kamara enjoyed a 21-year playing career for the likes of Portsmouth, Stoke, Leeds United and Sheffield United. He went on to manage Bradford City and Stoke before turning to pundit. Kamara is a regular on Gilette Soccer Saturday – Sky’s live scores show – while he also hosts Goals on Sunday. For some, Kamara’s tweet was met with some more serious responses. One wrote: “Chris, the worst kicking they get is from the current government. Won’t be ending any time soon either.” One follower agreed with Kamara and said: “Great shout Kammy. Emergency services get a lot of clog in this country, christ knows why!” While another added: “Honestly the police force suffer from the cuts imposed upon them from successive governments and they get it in the neck.”
Police and security had to intervene to help the Danish immigration and integration minister escape a potential assault by a crowd of rejected asylum-seekers, indignant over her decision to focus attention on only one family in the deportation facility.
On what was supposed to be a photo op on Friday for Danish Minister for Immigration, Integration and Housing Inger Støjberg at the Sjælsmark deportation center on the island of North Zealand, things went awry as a group of failed asylum applicants encircled her, Danish broadcaster DR reported.
A crowd of around 40 disgruntled residents of the center, all awaiting deportation, confronted the minister as she was about to drive away.

“When we came outside after the visit, the atmosphere started getting aggressive. Residents started gathering around Støjberg,” journalist Martin Torpe, who witnessed the scene, said as cited by DR.
At that moment, the minister’s security detail and police began to push through the crowd as they escorted her to the car. The crowd became more enraged and attempted to prevent her from leaving by blocking the car. In a video of the incident posted by DR, a woman can be seen jumping under the wheels of the moving vehicle, which does not stop. Police said the woman was only slightly hurt and her injuries are believed to not be serious.
The minister was joined by several lawmakers and journalists on the visit and was filmed for DR. The unrest was reportedly triggered by Støjberg’s decision to speak with only one family of Kurdish asylum-seekers, with rumors circulating that the family would be granted asylum afterwards.
“They had baked cakes, bought flowers and made signs on which the words ‘we are not criminals’ are written. But we are all [considered to be] problems, so all she did was go in and talk to one chosen family,” Valid Rahmatti, one of the residents of the center, told Politiken. Following the incident, Støjberg thanked her security and driver for keeping her safe. “Without you it could have ended completely wrong,” she wrote on Facebook.

Air traffic data shows Florida residents are making a mass exodus from the state as Hurricane Irma rolls on towards the US coast.
Dramatic live data from Flightradar24 shows planes leaving the region in droves.

Around 5.6 million people in the state have been ordered to evacuate urgently as Irma is forecast to hit the Florida Keys as a Category 4 storm early Sunday.
“Based on what we know, the majority of Florida will have major hurricane impact and deadly winds. We expect this along the entire east coast and west coast,” Governor Rick Scott said.
If you are in the Keys, I am urging you to leave right now. Do not risk your life or the lives of your loved ones- get out now.
— Rick Scott (@FLGovScott) September 9, 2017
“All Floridians should be prepared to evacuate.”
The large number of planes leaving the state comes as several airports prepare to suspend operations during Irma. Officials have warned locals not to use the airport as a last resort for evacuation and are warning of possible delays and cancellations.
Irma made landfall on Friday night, on the Camaguey Archipelago of Cuba with maximum sustained winds of 160mph, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Following his departure from UFC due to a positive test for marijuana and assault charges, Brandao signed with Russian MMA promotion Fight Nights Global last year, and had already notched up two victories in the organization coming into his latest fight.

Brandao gained popularity in Russia by winning both fights by spectacular stoppages, but also became notorious for his aggressive behavior outside of the cage.
Brandao won his first fight in Dagestan against local favorite Murad Machaev, performing a stunning helicopter armbar. He then engaged in a verbal conflict with the home fans, and had to be escorted from the arena by security guards for his own safety.
His second visit to Russia, when he knocked out Vener Galiev just 39 seconds into their fight in the city of Ufa, was marred by an altercation in the parking lot.
Video footage later appeared online showing a seemingly drunken Brandao arguing with people while Fight Nights Global president Kamil Gadzhiev attempted to usher him into a car away from the location.
His reputation has been cemented on his third visit, returning to Dagestan to face Akhmed Aliev in Kaspiysk at the Fight Night Global 73 event.
After a rather close and entertaining first eight minutes of the fight, Brandao took Aliev down.
And that’s where things went wrong.
As Aliev was positioned atop his foe and landing blows on the Brazilian’s head, Brandao seemed to reach his opponent’s ear in an attempt to bite it.
Aliev responded with a head-butt to Brandao’s chest, which forced the referee to stop the fight.
Aliev did not seem not hear or see the signal and continued the fight much to the annoyance of Brandao, who had stopped defending himself.
Brandao angrily delivered an up-kick to the throat of Aliev and walked towards to the cage door toward angry local fans, who had begun throwing garbage into the cage.
To make matters worse, Brandao climbed over the cage and left the fight, which turned out not to be a good idea as it increased the crowd’s hostility.
One of the Fight Night officials, however walked him back to the cage, where the referee announced the official decision – a win for Aliev, as his opponent had left the cage.
Talking to RT Sport over the phone the day after the fight, Fight Night Global president Kamil Gadzhiev gave his view on the matter.
RT: What are your thoughts on the incident between Aliev and Brandao?
Kamil Gadzhiev: Brandao shocked us. Whatever happened in the bout was no reason for a fighter to leave the cage. He gave the referee no choice but to disqualify him.
RT: Many fans say that Brandao bit Aliev’s ear prior to that head-butt. Do you know if that was the case?
KG: Aliev confirmed at the press conference that Brandao bit his ear. That’s why he behaved the way he did. He said that of course he wanted to finish the fight differently.
RT: Is this going to affect the relationship between Fight Night Global and Brandao?
KG: We do not want to make any hasty decisions. The issue is Brandao’s temperament and this is something he has to work with.
RT: How many fights does he have under his current contract?
KG: He had a six-fight contract coming into this fight. So now he has five more to go.
RT: Do you think that Aliev is also partially responsible for that situation?
KG: No, I don’t think so. Yes, he did an illegal blow, but the most he deserved for that was a warning from the ref, while Brandao simply walked away from the fight.
RT: Were you satisfied with the referees and judges at the event?
KG: It seemed like the referees and judges did not fully control the situation. We will make our decision, it seems like it is time for us to reload.
RT: Overall, were you happy with the event in Kaspiysk?
KG: Despite all the things that happened around the Aliev – Brandao fight, the fans behavior and rather questionable refereeing, we sold out the arena and emotions were very high and the overall atmosphere was incredible. Good fights, great emotions – this is why we love MMA.

Live and let live is apparently not the motto for one Georgia woman who was so angry at seeing a truck transporting chickens that she purposefully drove her car into it.
Judith Armstrong, 26, was driving in her red car on a stretch of Highway 72 in Hull, Georgia when she spotted the foul fowl freight. She drove her car into the side of the chicken-transporting truck, the unnamed driver told police.
When the trucker hit the brakes, the car again drove into his truck, according to the Athens Banner-Herald. The impact of the collision sent the red car into a spin.
Armstrong reportedly fled the scene without exchanging information… but she was still easily identified.
Her license plate remained at the crash site, along with pieces of her car, which the police deputy responding to the scene promptly found. The truck driver had also given a basic description of the woman, saying she had shoulder-length red hair, WXIA reported.
When officers went to Armstrong’s home in Comer, no one answered the door. On a second attempt, she ‒ and her partially crumpled car ‒ was there.
Armstrong then refused to leave her home, but spoke to deputies through “multiple windows,” WXIA reported. She told them she drove off because she was scared of what would happen to her driver’s license, according to the police report.
She also admitted that she purposefully caused the crash because “she was a vegan and hit the truck due to it being a chicken truck,” the police report said.
Armstrong denied having had anything to drink before her fateful drive home from work, but then said she had “taken a couple of shots” when she got home.
After deputies secured an arrest warrant, Armstrong finally surrendered and was taken into custody.
At the police station, officers tested her blood alcohol level. It was .089. The legal limit for Georgia is .08.
Armstrong faces charges of hit-and-run, aggressive driving, driving under the influence, and obstruction.
