The Chase is very much on for ABC, now that the network has officially ordered to series an adaptation of the popular UK quiz show.

In The Chase, which originated across the pond on ITV in 2009, four contestants work for the benefit of the team as they face “The Chaser,” a “ruthless quiz genius who is determined to stop them winning at all costs” (as described by UKGameShows.com).

Jeopardy Greatest The ChaseAs previously rumored, Jeopardy! GOATs James Holzhauer, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter are now double-secret confirmed to take turns as The Chaser, who challenges the players to think faster than they ever thought possible. (The trio’s head-to-head-to-head battle in ABC’s multi-night Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time tournament way, way, wayyyyy back in January scored huge numbers for the broadcast network, delivering north of 15 million total viewers at one point and above a 2.0 demo rating.)

The View‘s Sara Haines, meanwhile, has been tapped to serve as host. A premiere date will be announced at a later date.

With some slight gameplay tweaks, The Chase was first adapted for U.S. audiences in 2013 by Game Show Network. Brooke Burns hosted and English quizzer Mark Labbett served as “The Chaser,” who was also nicknamed “The Beast.” Holzhauer appeared on that version, setting records for both the early Cash Builder round and the Final Chase (in which he contributed 19 of his team’s 26 correct answers, compared to The Beast’s six).

ABC’s The Chase is produced by ITV America’s ITV Entertainment, with Adam Sher, Bernie Schaeffer and Vin Rubino serving as executive producers.

Imelda Staunton’s reign as Queen Elizabeth II will not get underway until 2022, with The Crown set to take an extended break in production between Seasons 4 and 5.

According to our sister site Deadline, the pause in production is not entirely due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Instead, the break was always intended, with cameras set to begin rolling in June 2021. (Production on the sixth and final season will then get underway the following year.)

The gap between seasons is not unprecedented. Netflix’s royal drama took a similar break the last time there was a changing/aging-up of the cast between Seasons 2 and 3, which premiered almost a full two years apart.

Season 4 of The Crown, which is set to drop later this year (premiere date TBA), will be the last for Golden Globe winner Olivia Colman, as the queen, and the first for Sex Education‘s Gillian Anderson, who will play “Iron Lady” Margaret Thatcher. Meanwhile, newcomer Emma Corrin in Season 4 will assume the coveted role of Lady Diana Spencer, later known as Princess Diana.

Once Season 5 eventually rolls around, Staunton will make her grand entrance as the queen, and Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread) will take on the role of Princess Margaret, succeeding Vanessa Kirby and Helena Bonham-Carter.

The Golden Girls is the latest sitcom to have an episode pulled from a streaming service due to a scene depicting blackface.

Hulu has pulled “Mixed Feelings” (Season 3, Episode 23), which sees Dorothy’s son Michael planning to marry an older Black woman named Lorraine. Bea Arthur’s character worries about the nuptials due to the age difference, while Lorraine’s family disapproves of their daughter marrying a white man, and attempts are made on both sides to call the whole thing off. Lorraine’s family arrives just as Rose (Betty White) and Blanche (Rue McClanahan) are trying a new mud facial treatment, and as the two greet their new guests, Rose states, “This is mud on our faces, we’re not really Black.”

The episode’s removal is the latest in a string of shows that have seen episodes taken down or significantly edited due to blackface scenes or jokes. Earlier this week, three episodes of Scrubs were removed from Hulu for their depictions of blackface, following the removal of four episodes of 30 Rock for scenes featuring blackface. The British sketch show Little Britain was also removed from Netflix and other streaming platforms earlier this month for its pervasive use of blackface.

Additionally, The Office removed a scene featuring a character in blackface from a Season 9 episode, but left the rest of the episode intact. An entire episode of Community has thus far been pulled from at least Netflix’s library. In the Season 2 episode, Chang (Ken Jeong) is seen in blackface while showing up to a Dungeons & Dragons game, as he proceeds to explain that he was cosplaying as “a dark elf.”

Choosing a honeymoon destination can be a tricky business when looking for a romantic country for newlyweds to spend some time in.

New research has revealed some of the most popular destinations that have been chosen to find the top honeymoon countries.

Hillier Jewellers found, by analysing 10,000 images from Instagram, which locations are the best.

Both Meghan and Harry’s future honeymoon country makes the list, beating where Prince William and Kate Middleton honeymooned.

But where is the top spot for honeymooners this year?

According to the data, Thailand is the most popular place to choose for a honeymoon.

With clear water and sandy beaches, this may come as no surprise to people who have visited the country.

It is also a much more affordable destination compared to the countries that allowed close behind, such as the Maldives and the Caribbean.

The research also found adventurous holidays were on the rise, compared to relaxing beach breaks.

Countries such as New Zealand and Iceland are becoming more popular, whilst the most romantic destination of Paris is declining, coming in 20th.

Meghan and Harry are thought to be heading to South Africa for a honeymoon holiday, which came in at number 15 on the list.

The pair have previously travelled to Botswana together, which is also where Meghan’s diamond on her engagement ring came from.

For non-royal newlyweds, the beautiful country offers adventurous safaris and private lodges for some secluded romance.

South Africa trumped the Seychelles, which came in at number 18, and is where Prince William and Kate Middleton honeymooned back in 2011.

The couple stayed on North Island, one of the few privately owned out of 115 islands in Seychelles.

Villas on the island start from £4,922, with top suites costing a whopping £7,744 a night.

Where did other royal couples choose to go for their honeymoon after they were married?

Prince Charles and Princess Diana chose to sail around the Mediterranean on the Royal Yacht Britannia.

The Queen and Prince Philip were much more frugal, due to it being not long after World War II, and chose to stay in the UK for their honeymoon.

Of the many ways Disney builds their Star Wars brand outside of the theater, Star Wars: Forces of Destiny may be one of the best. It’s a campaign made up of animated shorts, toys, and kids’ books that are all intended to bring some extra attention to the franchise’s female characters. We wrote about the first season of animated shorts last year, and now Disney is back with Forces of Destiny season 2.

Star Wars actors Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong’o, Kelly Marie Tran, and more lend their voices to the animated versions of their characters, and this batch is especially notable because it features the return of Mark Hamill voicing Luke Skywalker. Check out all eight episodes below.

It’s cool to see a little more of Luke’s training with Yoda on Dagobah,  and getting a peek at more of the dynamic between Rose and Finn helps to build upon their relationship from The Last Jedi – even though the situation in which they find themselves in this video seems a little too cartoonish, even for a Star Wars animated short. But on the plus side, now it’s canon that Rey used the Force to stop a porg from leaping off a cliff after it stole her lightsaber. Those things rule.

The Morning Watch is a recurring feature that highlights a handful of noteworthy videos from around the web. They could be video essays, fanmade productions, featurettes, short films, hilarious sketches, or just anything that has to do with our favorite movies and TV shows.

In this edition, we’re featuring a handful of the star-studded Super Bowl commercials from last night featuring the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt selling Michelob Ultra, Stranger Things police chief David Harbour talking about Tide, Game of Thrones badass Peter Dinklage rapping for Doritos, Jurassic Park franchise star Jeff Goldblum driving a Jeep alongside some dinosaurs, and many more.

Peter Dinklage did some rapid lip syncing to a Busta Rhymes tune for Doritos new Blaze flavor while Morgan Freeman got to do the same with Missy Elliott for Mountain Dew Ice. I could probably watch Peter Dinklage rap in front of a fireplace for hours and never get bored.

Bill Hader pulled out some of his strange voices for this Pringles commercial that is somehow just now making a big deal out of the fact that you can stack different flavors to make different combinations like spicy barbecue pizza.

David Harbour was the spokesperson for Tide all night, kicking things off with this advertisement that uses all the tropes of other commercials you usually see during the Super Bowl. He appeared several more times throughout the night with various Tide commercials you can check out right here.

Keanu Reeves stood up on a motorcycle on a long stretch of desert road for SquareSpace. Apparently he actually did this stunt, but we’re pretty sure he had some help from wires and other digitally removed assistant since it looks like his jacket is being pulled on near his shoulders and the area surrounding him sometimes look like things have been taken out from the background. Amazon’s famous Alexa loses her voice, so the tech support team gets famous faces like Rebel Wilson, rapper Cardi B, Sir Anthony Hopkins and chef Gordon Ramsey. Honestly, I’m surprised that Amazon hasn’t gotten celebrity voices to be part of the Alexa software system yet. If they can do it with GPS, they can probably do it with Alexa.

M&M’s always brings some fun to the Super Bowl, and this time was no different. A lucky penny turns Red into a human, who just so happens to be Danny DeVito. That’s pretty much the perfect casting for a human M&M.

Chris Pratt was way too excited to be cast in a Super Bowl ad for Michelob Ultra. He did all sorts of training to prepare for the commercial, but it turns out he was only cast as an extra in the advertisement. What’s even cooler is…

There was another Michelob Ultra ad where Chris Pratt was spotted over and over again in the background, but never quite taking the spotlight away from all the rest of the commercial’s stars.

Finally, Jeff Goldblum got chased in a Jeep by a tyrannosaurs rex all over again, but this time, he turns the table on the dino and ends up becoming the predator. That’s probably more action than he’ll see in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Doctor Who fans have waited nearly four decades for today. Shada — an episode that began filming in 1979 with Tom Baker as the legendary Time Lord — is finally finished and available to download (a DVD will be released in the UK on December 4th, and in the US on January 9th). An animated segment and a new scene were produced to fill in the footage gaps, both of which feature Baker reprising his role as the Doctor. To add to the prestige, the episode was also written by Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy author Douglas Adams.

As you can expect, Shada was an almost mythical entry in the series for fans. But it wasn’t the only “lost” episode. Last year, the BBC also released an animated version of The Power of the Daleks using audio from the original episode, after losing the source video. That recreation was produced by Charles Norton, who also spearheaded the animated segment in “Shada.”
