“We know that Boris Johnson is out on the milk round,” Susanna began. “So we’ve mocked up some.”

Piers chipped in: “You’ve lost your bottle Boris. So you haven’t been on here, here’s Jeremy Corbyn, 967 days since we saw him.”

“Boris Johnson not seen on Good Morning Britain for 1, 267 days,” Susanna added.

Piers concluded: “Missing Boris Johnson. Bottle gone.”

The Chase: ‘F*** off’ Viewers furious as Bradley Walsh denies contestant ‘correct’ answer https://briefnews.eu/the-chase-f-off-viewers-furious-as-bradley-walsh-denies-contestant-correct-answer/ https://briefnews.eu/the-chase-f-off-viewers-furious-as-bradley-walsh-denies-contestant-correct-answer/#respond Tue, 06 Aug 2019 13:14:53 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-chase-f-off-viewers-furious-as-bradley-walsh-denies-contestant-correct-answer/

Bradley Walsh, 59, was joined by the Sinnerman star Paul Sinha, 49, on this afternoon’s edition of The Chase as four new contestants tried their luck at winning the jackpot.

After 52-year-old Linda was sent home minutes into the game, student Ashley became the first player to make it through to the final round of the ITV quiz show.

Contestant Trevor also failed to make it to the Final Chase, with the last player of the day Stuart joining Ashley to claim the cash prize.

With £9,000 at stake, Ashley and Stuart gave Paul a run for his money as they built up 20 points between him and the jackpot.

The contestants were offered several push-backs as Paul answered Bradley’s questions, but a few of them Ashley and Stuart failed to guess correctly.

One question posed to the pair was: “A sequel to what Anna Kendrick musical film came out in 2015?”

Whereas Paul passed, Ashley seemed confident she knew the answer by telling Bradley it was Pitch Perfect 2.

However, Bradley told her she was incorrect as Ashley had misinterpreted the question, with the host explaining: “It is not Pitch Perfect 2, that was the sequel.”

Viewers watching at home weren’t too happy, with one posting on Twitter: “@ITV – “What sequel to what Anna Kendrick musical film was released in 2015?” – they were told it was wrong… but it is Pitch Perfect 2… #TheChase.

Another added after Ashley failed to correctly answer another push-back: “That’s a shame. She knew that, David Guetta. Couldn’t recall his name. Feel so sorry for her. Also Pitch Perfect was *almost* a trick question the way it was worded. #TheChase.”

A third simply wrote: “Oh f**k off #thechase #pitchperfect2,” as Bradley explained the real question being asked.

With several failed attempts to push Paul back, the Sinnerman beat the contestants, meaning they walked away with nothing.

Bradley said they could have got the jackpot as their was only four seconds to spare if they’d answered the Pitch Perfect question correctly.

“Ashley, don’t be so disappointed. You played brilliantly well,” the host told the dismayed contestant.

Commending the pair, Paul said: “That was a great game.”

“Yet, we all made mistakes,” the Sinnerman continued.

“Me and Ashely between us should have come up with David Guetta’s name and if Stuart had got William The Conqueror, the whole thing would have been a very, very different game.”

Commenting on the contestant’s efforts, viewers posted on Twitter with one sharing: “What a shame, they did so well! #thechase.”

Another opined: “Two easy push backs and couldn’t execute!! Unlucky, but good work #THECHASE.”

Whilst a third remarked: “That was so close! #TheChase. Think they could of won if they got Pitch Perfect.”

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.

Love Island 2019: ‘F****** p****’ Amy Hart tears Curtis and Maura apart after dance shock? https://briefnews.eu/love-island-2019-f-p-amy-hart-tears-curtis-and-maura-apart-after-dance-shock/ https://briefnews.eu/love-island-2019-f-p-amy-hart-tears-curtis-and-maura-apart-after-dance-shock/#respond Sat, 06 Jul 2019 02:10:50 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/love-island-2019-f-p-amy-hart-tears-curtis-and-maura-apart-after-dance-shock/

Tonight’s instalment of the ITV2 hit show saw air hostess Amy, 26, fighting to understand exactly what it was that broke down in her relationship with Curtis, 23.

While the pair’s romance had seemed stronger than ever when she went away to the next villa, Curtis had been hiding his true feelings for a while.

And now the preview for Sunday night’s episode shows Amy getting incredibly upset when she spies Curtis showing Irish beauty Maura how to dance on the garden patio, something he’d never done with her in Love Island.

Maura and Curtis can be seen laughing and giggling, and it’s borderline flirtatious as Amy’s jaw drops open from across the villa.

Furious with the situation, she spits: “He’s such a f*****g p***k.”

Strong words – is Amy about to explode as things turn nasty between the pair?

And how will Amy react when she realises her friend Maura is harbouring secret feelings for her ex?

In the kitchen during tonight’s instalment, Maura had a chat with Curtis about how he felt following the split.

Yet just as they talked, a white feather suddenly landed on the kitchen surface.

Taken-aback, Maura told the dancer: “They say that a white feather is an angel close-by trying to tell you something.

“Have you not heard about that?”

“Continue. Elaborate,” Curtis urged, interested in the topic.

“I’ve always thought [been told] it’s a sign – that it means something,” Maura went on.

“I wonder what it means,” Curtis pondered, and the pair shared a moment.

“We might not ever know,” Maura smiled finally.

Maura later shared her true feelings with Lucie Donlan on the bean bags.

“He’s obviously gorgeous. He’s very manly and I love that,” she said. “He’s funny. He’s the whole package for me.”

Lucie was stunned by Maura’s confession, shaking her head. “Wow!” she cried, lost for words.

“There have been so many times where I want him to teach me how to dance,” Maura added, as it looks like the contestant will get her wish.

But did Amy hint at what’s to come in tonight’s episode when she said “let’s swap” to Maura?

Love Island 2019 continues Sunday at 9pm on ITV2.

Vikings season 6 spoilers: ‘Not gonna f****** believe this’ Star shares bizarre set moment https://briefnews.eu/vikings-season-6-spoilers-not-gonna-f-believe-this-star-shares-bizarre-set-moment/ https://briefnews.eu/vikings-season-6-spoilers-not-gonna-f-believe-this-star-shares-bizarre-set-moment/#respond Sun, 12 May 2019 02:56:16 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/vikings-season-6-spoilers-not-gonna-f-believe-this-star-shares-bizarre-set-moment/

Season five of fantasy drama Vikings saw the deaths of two fan-favourite characters in Asbjorn (played by Elijah Rowen) and Helgi (Jack McEvoy).

The pair were involved in Floki’s (Gustaf Skarsgard) storyline, but in a brutal twist they were beheaded in battle.

Now reflecting on their time on the hit show, Irish actors Elijah and Jack have revealed one particular moment on set that still sticks with them now.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, the stars told how they played an epic prank on one of their co-stars on the show.

“The one I’ll give ya here is a good one,” Jack shared. “Myself, Elijah and Scott Grain were in my trailer having a laugh.

“And a particular actor, the background actor was a big fan of his. So we took it upon ourselves to compose a fan letter for this artist.

“We composed the letter, for which he then runs into the trailer going ‘Mate, mate, you’re not gonna f*****g believe this.

“Look at this, she even says I love you!’ And we were like yeah, yeah, we knew it man.

“Laughing, Jack continued: “He then said ‘F**k what am I gonna say to my girlfriend?’

“And we were like, ‘Well it’s not your fault if people are falling in love with you!’

“Anyway I think his heart dropped a little when he found out that it was myself, Elijah and Scott who had written it,” Jack teased.

Elijah chimed in to add: “A stitch up!”

“We were playing a little on-set prank,” Jack went on to explain, shedding light on what it’s like to film on the historical epic. “But that’s the type of fun we had, you know you have to entertain yourself on set.

“I mean Adam Copeland as well, thats why I love the man, he enjoyed a good bit of a laugh and a joke. You cant take yourself too seriously between takes, because a lot of the takes are serious and full of heavy emotion, of compassion or remorse.

“So you know when you’re not filming it’s great to fill it with fun times, the memories, and you know, the jokes and gags.”

Elijah also shared his own favourite moment behind the scenes was during a particular “stone sequence”.

“Yes it was the stone sequence!” Jack recalled fondly.

“Myself and Elijah were pitting to be the strongest man,” the actor added with a laugh.

Not ‘inclusive’ enough? US student told to remove ‘F*** Nazis’ sign as it provokes ‘mixed feelings’ https://briefnews.eu/not-inclusive-enough-us-student-told-to-remove-f-nazis-sign-as-it-provokes-mixed-feelings/ https://briefnews.eu/not-inclusive-enough-us-student-told-to-remove-f-nazis-sign-as-it-provokes-mixed-feelings/#respond Wed, 26 Dec 2018 19:13:29 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/not-inclusive-enough-us-student-told-to-remove-f-nazis-sign-as-it-provokes-mixed-feelings/

The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, has landed itself in hot water after staff asked a student to remove a sign, condemning Nazis, from her dorm window over “issues of inclusion.”

Junior student, Nicole Parsons, placed a sign reading “F*** Nazis. You are not welcome here” in her dorm window earlier in December.

A week later, she received a somewhat clumsy letter from one of the college residence life directors, Eddie Papazoni, telling her that the sign provoked “mixed feelings” and allegedly interfered with some people’s “ability to be active members of the community” and raised “issues of inclusion.”

“It appears… that the sign in mention can be paraphrased as: ‘Nazis are not welcome here’,” the letter said. It asked Parsons to take down her sign “so that all students can be a part of an inclusive residential experience, as well as having a respectful environment to be part of.”

The message came as an “absolute shock” to Parsons, she told BuzzFeed. “This email tells me the university cares more about the feelings of Nazis than the safety of their students.”

She then explained that she decided to put up the sign after a swastika was drawn over a “Happy Hanukkah” sign on the campus. The student said she also wanted to show those who drew the swastika that “someone [condemns] their actions, even if the administration does not do it.”

The issue quickly gained traction on social media as people said that the administration should focus its attention on the alleged Nazi sympathizers rather than on the sign maker.

Others were more concerned about the fact that the administration seemingly cared about “Nazis” feeling “welcome” on campus. Some people also called for the staff member, who wrote the letter to be fired.

The public outcry prompted the administration to issue a clarification. “UMass Amherst emphatically rejects Nazis, and any other hate group,” the university said in a Tweet, adding that the whole issue was allegedly about “the use of profanity, which some may find inappropriate.”

It also called the email “a poorly worded” one and said it “does not reflect the values of the campus.” Still, its attempt to calm things down apparently did not work well.

Social media continued to criticise the administration over its supposed inaction in the face of hate crimes while saying that the clarification was an attempt to avoid a scandal.

Parsons, meanwhile, removed the sign from her window as her roommate was allegedly worried that it attracted too much attention. The student said she decided to move off campus even before the controversy, adding that she intended to keep the sign “forever.” She also seemed to be quite pleased with the effect her action had.

‘F that!’: Duma may allow musicians to shout obscenities from stage https://briefnews.eu/f-that-duma-may-allow-musicians-to-shout-obscenities-from-stage/ https://briefnews.eu/f-that-duma-may-allow-musicians-to-shout-obscenities-from-stage/#respond Tue, 04 Dec 2018 19:52:49 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/f-that-duma-may-allow-musicians-to-shout-obscenities-from-stage/

Musicians have every right to use obscenities for self-expression and must be allowed to swear from stage if their shows have proper age restrictions, the deputy head of the Russian Parliament’s information committee said.

“People go to concerts, already knowing what to expect there. They’re not going blindly. This is art. He (the artist) sees thing this way,” Andrey Svintsov from nationalist Liberal Democratic Party said about the use of foul language by some musicians.

“If you do not like it then just don’t go there. That’s it,” he added.

According to Russian laws, performers may face fines and other forms of administrative responsibility for employing obscenities during their shows.

But the MP believes the restrictions to be “absurd,” saying that musicians and concert organizers shouldn’t be punished at all.

The fines don’t stop any artists from swearing, but only “show the ignorance of those, who issues them,” he said.

However, Svintsov insisted that such obscene shows can only be visited by those above the age of 18, with relevant markings included in all of the promotional materials.
Foul language should be tackled within the family, but not through fines and restrictions, the deputy added.

In late November, a show of popular rap-artist Eljey was cancelled in Russia’s Far Eastern Republic of Yakutia. Earlier, one of the angry locals wrote a letter to Russian consumer watchdog, Rospotrebnadzor, saying that “many Yakut residents were concerned by his questionable lyrics and his looks.” Eljey wears creepy contact lenses on stage and has his body covered in tattoos, while many of his songs contain obscenities and references to drugs.

In September, pop-singer Egor Creed had his sold-out gig called off in the southern Republic of Dagestan after the organizers said they couldn’t guarantee the safety of those attending. Creed faced death threats online as he was branded a “devil” and accused of promoting values unacceptable in Islam.

‘Go f*** yourself!’: Trump-bashing French TV host uses English to tell Donald ‘you’re not welcome’ https://briefnews.eu/go-f-yourself-trump-bashing-french-tv-host-uses-english-to-tell-donald-youre-not-welcome/ https://briefnews.eu/go-f-yourself-trump-bashing-french-tv-host-uses-english-to-tell-donald-youre-not-welcome/#respond Sat, 10 Nov 2018 21:37:09 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/go-f-yourself-trump-bashing-french-tv-host-uses-english-to-tell-donald-youre-not-welcome/

The French don’t like speaking in foreign languages, but the host of a popular comedy show remembered his English lessons and pulled no punches in the telling US President Donald Trump that he wasn’t welcome in Paris.

The ‘Quotidien’ (Daily) program aired on TMC channel ahead of Trump’s arrival to France for the Saturday’s 100th anniversary since the armistice of World War I.

The host, Yann Barthes, began his show in French, but then switched to English so that the US President, whom he claimed could’ve been among the viewers, would understand him.

“Hey, hello there! Welcome to TMC Channel. My name is… Sean,” Barthes said and then introduced all of his co-hosts using fake Americanized names like “Ashley,” “Clarissa” and “Hot Bunny.”

“We all work for the porn industry here in France. You came to the right place because we like your style from the beginning,” he said, with the remark followed by a montage of exclamations and other unintelligible noises taken from the Trump’s public speeches.

After that, Barthes instructed Trump on how to find Fox News on TV at his Paris hotel. But he then suddenly switched his tone, saying: “Oh, and one last thing. Go and f*** yourself. You’re not welcome in this country.” The crowd in the studio erupted in laughter and applause.

Strictly 2018: Shirley Ballas tells Celeb Juice star to 'shut the f*** up' in joke rant https://briefnews.eu/strictly-2018-shirley-ballas-tells-celeb-juice-star-to-shut-the-f-up-in-joke-rant/ https://briefnews.eu/strictly-2018-shirley-ballas-tells-celeb-juice-star-to-shut-the-f-up-in-joke-rant/#respond Thu, 17 May 2018 17:30:48 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/strictly-2018-shirley-ballas-tells-celeb-juice-star-to-shut-the-f-up-in-joke-rant/

The new season of Celebrity Juice continues this evening, and brings back host Keith Lemon and his panellists Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton.

Tonight’s episode will see comedian Johnny team up with Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas, when talk turned to replacing Len Goodman.

But as Johnny spiralled into one of his infamous rants which saw Shirley getting shouted at, it all went wrong for the comedian after she made an epic comeback.

Keith introduced the Head Judge by saying: “So you replaced Len Goodman on Strictly. How was that coming into that world?”

Smiling, Shirley replied: “Well it was an interesting world to come into, but I was very happy to fill those shoes.”

Keith pressed her further: “You’re the head judge, what’s that responsibility like then?”

“Well you get responsible for eliminating somebody if there’s a tie,” Shirley continued.

But Johnny spotted an opportunity and jumped at it, saying: “Are you allowed to give anyone community service?”

When Shirley replied no, Johnny went in on the joke and didn’t let go.

He continued: “What’s the point in being a judge if you can’t give them community service.

“I’m not saying they have to serve hard time, I’m just saying, go and pick some litter up you lazy f*****g celeb.

“I’m not going to stand in front of you and you judge me, for being a bad person, who neglects the people closest to him so I can ‘Cha Cha Cha’ just for you.

“Just tell me, I’ve got a fat a**e and my ankles are ropey. You don’t get to tell me what to do, throughout this show, ok, I’ve worked hard and I’ve worked my way up.

“Life’s going good for me and you know what—“

Shirley interrupted with a cheeky grin on her face after hearing enough and blurted out: “And you know what, shut the f**k up.”

The studio erupted into applause as Holly and Fearne stood up to praise the judge’s remark.

Johnny also couldn’t help but laugh at her hysterical response.

Earlier today, Shirley Ballas was on Good Morning Britain where viewers thought she was being “goaded” by Susanna Reid.

Celebrity Juice airs tonight at 10pm on ITV2.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.

UK is a ‘hypocritical mother f*****’ over free media claim, Julian Assange says https://briefnews.eu/uk-is-a-hypocritical-mother-f-over-free-media-claim-julian-assange-says/ https://briefnews.eu/uk-is-a-hypocritical-mother-f-over-free-media-claim-julian-assange-says/#respond Fri, 09 Mar 2018 15:35:33 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/uk-is-a-hypocritical-mother-f-over-free-media-claim-julian-assange-says/

Julian Assange has said the UK is “hypocritical mother f*****” made up of “pathetic fraudsters.” He was commenting on a tweet from the UK embassy in Geneva promoting “free and independent media.”

The UK mission to Geneva tweeted on Friday that it values free media which “holds the powerful to account.” As part of a statement delivered on Thursday to the 37th session of the Human Rights Council, it said:

But the Wikileaks founder, who has spent the past eight years attempting to do what the UK claims to be promoting, pointed out the hypocrisy of the statement. In a scathing attack on the UK government, the Australian said:

“And that is exactly why you have detained me without charge for eight years in violation of two UN rulings and spent over 20 million pounds spying on me, you hypocritical mother fuckers. Your entire international human rights programme is £10.6m, you pathetic fraudsters.”

Assange has been holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London for the past six years, after he sought political asylum in Ecuador in 2012. He fears that if he leaves he will be extradited to the US, where he is wanted on espionage charges relating to his publishing of hundreds of thousands of US diplomatic cables and war logs.

READ MORE: Assange continues attack on UK judiciary, citing report where Judges bemoan ‘inappropriate pressure’

In February 2016, the United Nations called on the UK to release Assange as it found he was being held in “arbitrary detention” by the UK and Sweden. The UN’s decision was upheld in November 2017, but attempts to free Assange have to this day been in vain.

Foreign Minister Maria Fernanda Espinosa told reporters in February that the UK was unwilling to take part in talks. “On the issue of mediation, I have to say very honestly that it has not been successful because two parties are needed to mediate… Ecuador is willing, but not necessarily the other party,” adding that Ecuador would “continue looking for mechanisms.”

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson BLASTS Jumanji critic – ‘Go F*** yourself’ https://briefnews.eu/dwayne-the-rock-johnson-blasts-jumanji-critic-go-f-yourself/ https://briefnews.eu/dwayne-the-rock-johnson-blasts-jumanji-critic-go-f-yourself/#respond Fri, 26 Jan 2018 09:00:11 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/dwayne-the-rock-johnson-blasts-jumanji-critic-go-f-yourself/

Who would have thought it – a spin-off sequel to a much loved Robin Williams movie, without the original star, has been a huge hit.

Jumanji: Wecome to the Jungle currently has a world wide gross of $ 772 million on a $ 90 million budget.

Not only that, but the action comedy managed to top Star Wars: The Last Jedi and becoming No 1 at the US box office – a position the film has held for the last three weeks.

However not every was happy with the film, with one movie fan directing a particular annoyance at one of the film’s stars, The Rock.

The Twitter user wrote to The Rock: “I went to see the new Jumanji. F*** THE NEW JUMANJI.”

“Here’s a spoiler. There is no way a character in a video game would lose a life, then be respawned still in possession of the item required to win.

“That’s some bulls***. What say you @TheRock? Otherwise it was quite good.

However Johnson replied with quite the smackdown, saying: “Actually my friend, in the JUMANJI Lore Handbook, it clearly states in article 72 of section 7, that “any character who loses a life, shall return to their original state with any item they possessed at the time of their demise”. So kindly go f*** yourself James.”

Meanwhile The Rock has spoken out after inspiring a musical stage show in London.

Johnson reacted on Twitter: “Ah a musical inspired by yours truly. Cool.. who’s hitting the high notes?

“Read the premiere. Entertaining, with a strong 18yr old female voice. I love it! Break a leg and I’m there in spirit! #ThePeoplesRock @VAULTFestival.”
