In the Fear the Walking Dead episode, Dwight (played by Austin Amelio) joined Morgan Jones (Lennie James) in crossing over to the AMC spinoff.

His crossover has been teased for a long time and fans finally saw him at a Wild West theme town.

He was nearly involved in a vicious gun fight but was then saved by John (Garret Dillahunt) and June (Jenna Elfman) and introduced to the rest of the group.

It was revealed Dwight has been on the hunt for his wife Sherry ever since leaving The Walking Dead world.

He became free to search for her after he was banished by Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), but could he join him in Fear the Walking Dead?

It would bring more conflict for Dwight and could ultimately lead to his downfall.

However, Dwight star Austin teased he would want Daryl to cross over and join him.

Appearing in a group interview with Build Series, he was asked who he would want to cross over and he replied: “Maybe Daryl. It would fun and mix it up a little bit.”

He also laughed at the suggestion of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) after the pair had clashed repeatedly on The Walking Dead.

Daryl’s inclusion in the Fear world would certainly cause huge conflict between the pair given that Daryl has not been able to come to terms with Dwight killing Denise Cloyd (Merritt Wever).

Dwight has already come across friction as he was reunited with Morgan in the last episode.

Morgan is currently not willing to hear Dwight’s apologies about his behaviour with Negan in The Walking Dead.

However showrunner Andrew Chambliss has suggested their meeting might have a hidden significance.

“They were in some of the bigger group scenes [in The Walking Dead], but Morgan and Dwight hadn’t actually had a lot of personal one-to-one interaction.

“They obviously both kind of know each other as characters and their history. So I think when they find each other, it was really the surprise that these two people ended up in the same place.

“And we give some hints that there are some reasons that they both ended up in the same area in Texas. And there’s a little bit of back and forth where they’re talking about what roads they took.

“I think we’ll learn a little more about what forces drove them to this area.”

Meanwhile, Austin has revealed why he laughed when the suggestion he might crossover into Fear the Walking Dead was first made.

He also revealed what Dwight has been doing: “Effectively searching for his wife, like a drug addict trying to get his next fix.”

About what to expect from Dwight, he added: “He’s in a much darker spot, I think.”

Fear the Walking Dead continues Monday on AMC UK, while The Walking Dead is expected to return later this year.

LOL: Tom Clancy’s ‘Jim Ryan’ Pits Dwight Schrute Against Dunder-Mifflin’s Top Spy https://briefnews.eu/lol-tom-clancys-jim-ryan-pits-dwight-schrute-against-dunder-mifflins-top-spy/ https://briefnews.eu/lol-tom-clancys-jim-ryan-pits-dwight-schrute-against-dunder-mifflins-top-spy/#respond Mon, 03 Sep 2018 07:42:46 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/lol-tom-clancys-jim-ryan-pits-dwight-schrute-against-dunder-mifflins-top-spy/ The Office Jack Ryan Trailer Mash-Up

One of the greatest friendly rivalries in the history of television is undoubtedly that of Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) and Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson), two of the top salespeople from the Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company followed closely in the mockumentary series The Office. However, that rivalry is about to be taken to a new level.

Tom Clancy’s Jim Ryan is a new series that we wish was real on Amazon where the titular analyst must go undercover as a paper salesman is forced to deal with a top security threat in the form of another salesman at the company. Mixing footage from Amazon’s Jack Ryan series with The Office makes for a trailer mash-up that is better than it has any right to be. Watch below!

The Office Jack Ryan Trailer Mash-Up

Funny or Die‘s The Office Jack Ryan trailer mash-up masterfully uses the pranks between Jim and Dwight and makes them a little more sinister when the two are imagined to be spies caught up in dangerous espionage. The use of Dwight’s surprising number of times using a weapon and his various disguises to portray people from the office make him a deadly threat. Meanwhile, Jim Ryan is just an unsuspecting paper salesman caught up in it all, and he might just be in over his head.

It’s actually rather impressive how scenes like Dwight’s family farm funeral mixes with an outdoor party that Jack Ryan must be whisked away from. Plus, the juxtaposition of the epic snowball war that gets out of hand with the snowy locations used for Jack Ryan is just perfect. Surely the real Jack Ryan series won’t have this kind of entertainment, but now that it’s available on Amazon, you can find out for yourself.

Poldark season 4 spoilers: Dwight Enys star teases DARK Caroline plot amid baby tragedy https://briefnews.eu/poldark-season-4-spoilers-dwight-enys-star-teases-dark-caroline-plot-amid-baby-tragedy/ https://briefnews.eu/poldark-season-4-spoilers-dwight-enys-star-teases-dark-caroline-plot-amid-baby-tragedy/#respond Sun, 08 Jul 2018 01:13:45 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/poldark-season-4-spoilers-dwight-enys-star-teases-dark-caroline-plot-amid-baby-tragedy/

Last week’s episode of Poldark left viewers in tears as Caroline (played by Gabriella Wilde) and Dwight were forced to deal with the reality their baby girl was going to die.

As Sarah Caroline contracted an infection Dr Enys realised he couldn’t lie to his wife about their daughter’s fatal heart condition any longer on the BBC drama.

While Caroline didn’t appear to show typical signs of grief at first, the reserved aristocrat was crumbling on the inside.

In a heartbreaking move, the blonde beauty told a stunned Dwight she was leaving him for some space away in London, and could be away for months.

Leaving with Ross Poldark (Aidan Turner), the pair embarked on an event-filled trip while Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) and Dwight were forced to look after each other at home.

Speaking about his character’s future with Caroline on the BBC hit, Luke shared: “The worst possible thing befalls Caroline and Dwight and they deal with it in very different ways which creates this cavern between them and a distance, both literally and metaphorically as Caroline decamps to London.”

But while Caroline assured her husband she would return in “a month or two” during last week’s episode, Luke revealed it won’t be resolved that quickly.

Will Caroline go off the rails in London and come back a different woman to the one Dwight married?

“Dwight arrived in the first series in the hope of making a difference to the community in Cornwall,” Luke went on. “After some bad decisions along the way he is now in a position where he actually is making a difference.

“Therefore, to just cut and run now isn’t in his nature and so they spend a while this series trying to work all of that out and dealing with their grief.”

The actor assured that while Dwight and Caroline could be on the rocks, their friends will rally around them in their time of need.

Luke continued: “Part of the reason Ross conceded in the end in going for Westminster is because of the pressure that Dwight, as a friend, put on him as he believes it to be the right thing, to go and be the representative of those constituents.

“So Ross is helping but from afar. He is there for Caroline, in London. Demelza is effectively keeping the home fires burning for both Ross and Dwight, once Caroline is gone.”

But will the pair grow closer on the historical romance?

“She has been through similar experiences to what Dwight is going through,” Luke said. “And knows what it is to be apart from your partner so they get each other through that.”

It’s not all doom and gloom however as outside of Dwight and Caroline’s harrowing storyline the actors have a great time on set.

“I love Gabriella – she is great,” Luke enthused. “I am going to visit her and her family out in the country with my family, which will be fun.

“I have been lucky enough to work with people I get on with and having a connection with someone can only help and it certainly makes going to work nicer.”

The star added: “I look forward to filming days where we have a lot of scenes on the call sheet together.”

Will Dwight and Caroline be able to weather the storm ahead?

Poldark continues Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.

The Walking Dead season 8: Dwight to KILL Negan? Austin Amelio shares shock spoiler https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-dwight-to-kill-negan-austin-amelio-shares-shock-spoiler/ https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-dwight-to-kill-negan-austin-amelio-shares-shock-spoiler/#respond Mon, 09 Apr 2018 00:12:06 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-dwight-to-kill-negan-austin-amelio-shares-shock-spoiler/

star Austin Amelio has hinted that his character Dwight could be growing tired of living under the reign of Negan (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and could be about to finally take revenge.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the actor opened up about what he envisions for Dwight for the remainder of the series and his long-term plan.

“I don’t think he has a long-term plan right now,” he commented.

“I think he’s kind of living in the day-to-day and I think he knows he could go at any moment with the moves he’s making but I think, I’ve talked about it so much but he’s a good guy in a bad spot.

“I think if he knows his time is coming that he wants some redemption or he wants to do something good for the world.”

Austin went on to add: “I think that is getting rid of Negan and that’s consuming his mind right now.”

When asked if he’d like to see Dwight reunite with his wife Sherry (Christine Evangelista), who ran away from the Sanctuary in season seven, he replied: “Long-term sure.

“A nice honeymoon with Sherry would be nice but I guess that would be long-term that he would like to get back with his wife.

“You’re living in a pretty dangerous world so I think he’s just focussing on what he can do just now.”

The 29-year-old also revealed that he tries to avoid watching himself on TV.

“I can’t objectively watch it the first time because I’m just looking at my performance,” he noted.

“But maybe the second or third time but then that is already too many times that I’ve seen myself.

“I get sucked into the show because my lady watches it and we’ll sit on the couch and watch it.

“But as soon as I know my scene is coming up, I’m like, ‘Oh I’m gonna go get a glass of water’.”

, Dwight can be seen looking surprised when Negan returns to the Sanctuary compound.

“Surprised to see me?” the villain asks Dwight, who is smoking in the courtyard.

The brief clip hints that his loyalty could be tested in the upcoming episode.

Simon’s (Steven Ogg) loyalty may also be taken into question after he went rogue and attacked the Hilltop in a previous instalment.

The official summary reads: “Aaron continues searching for allies; Daryl and Rosita take action and comfort an old friend.”

The Walking Dead continues Monday on FOX at 9pm.

Man Utd news: Romelu Lukaku can fill void left by these two stars – Dwight Yorke https://briefnews.eu/man-utd-news-romelu-lukaku-can-fill-void-left-by-these-two-stars-dwight-yorke/ https://briefnews.eu/man-utd-news-romelu-lukaku-can-fill-void-left-by-these-two-stars-dwight-yorke/#respond Tue, 14 Nov 2017 16:18:51 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/man-utd-news-romelu-lukaku-can-fill-void-left-by-these-two-stars-dwight-yorke/

Lukaku joined Manchester United from Everton in July for an initial fee of £75million.

The Belgian striker scored 11 times in his first 10 appearances for his new side, but is currently on a run of seven games without a goal for the Red Devils.

Yorke understands the frustrations of some United fans at Lukaku’s barren run.

But he has faith the 24-year-old can rediscover his touch in front of goal and fill the void left by Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

United’s all-time leading goalscorer Rooney joined Everton in the summer, while Ibrahimovic is still on the road to recovery from a serious knee injury.

“Obviously football is all about opinion,” Yorke told talkSPORT.

“When he came to the football club for the amount of money that he has, I felt we had the right person and I really feel we have the right striker at the club.

“Don’t forget we lost two big personalities, Zlatan was a big personality for us and scored a number of goals for us last season. And of course losing Wayne Rooney, for so many years he has been our talisman.

“So we look for the right ingredients to come to Manchester United and I think we have got the right player.

“He got off to the best possible start of any striker, he’s broke all the records.

“I can understand people who are going to say ‘yeah, he’s not done it against the big clubs’.

“He’s proved at international he’s scoring goals and yes, there might be that little bit of question mark in terms of not doing it against the big teams in the Premier League.

“But for what he’s done for the football club, he’s been harshly criticised to be fair.”

‘The Walking Dead’ actor talks the season 8 premiere: Dwight ‘has to make some high-stake decisions’ https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-actor-talks-the-season-8-premiere-dwight-has-to-make-some-high-stake-decisions/ https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-actor-talks-the-season-8-premiere-dwight-has-to-make-some-high-stake-decisions/#respond Mon, 23 Oct 2017 07:09:02 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-actor-talks-the-season-8-premiere-dwight-has-to-make-some-high-stake-decisions/ dwight walking dead season 8Gene Page/AMC

Warning: There are spoilers ahead if you have not watched “The Walking Dead” season 8 premiere.

“The Walking Dead” season eight premiere kicked off Sunday night, and the season wasted little time with Rick, Maggie, and Ezekiel bringing their communities to go to war with the bat-wielding Negan.

One of the main players in this “All Out War” is Dwight (Austin Amelio), one of Negan’s high-ranking Saviors, who appeared to switch sides at the end of season seven. Right now, he’s working undercover for Rick, Daryl, and the gang to give them the inside scoop on the Sanctuary.

INSIDER spoke with Amelio about his allegiances in the war this season, what he thinks of Rick as a leader, and how his relationship with frenemy Eugene may fare this season now that Dwight’s working for the other side.

Kirsten Acuna: There are so many great little interactions in the episode. One of the moments that got to me was seeing you and Daryl interacting via arrow notes. You guys were like pen pals.

dwight tomorrow noteAMC

Austin Amelio: [Laughing] Yeah, old classic pen pals relationship.

Acuna: It seems like Daryl doesn’t totally trust Dwight. After Daryl grabbed the arrow from you he didn’t give a little nod, like the ones he’ll give to Rick or an ally. It seems like you guys maybe still have a little ways to go.

Amelio: Yeah, I’d say we do.

Acuna: Maybe for those dog food sandwiches that Dwight was feeding him in season seven.

dwight daryl dog food season 7 the walking deadGene Page/AMC

Amelio: Yeah, I mean that’s the thing with his relationship. In season seven, [Daryl] comes in and he gets a little bit of an understanding of my world and [sees] kind of what I’m fighting for and what I’m going through. But we’re also on two different sides of the spectrum and it’s going to take a while to bridge that gap. It’s not going to happen right off the bat.

Acuna: Of course. I want to go back to the season seven finale real quick. Dwight left Daryl a little note on a sculpture. How did Dwight know someone would find that chess piece he left behind? And, of all people to find it, it was Daryl. Was he banking on that?

walking dead dwight didnt knowAMC

Amelio: I think Daryl got a glimpse into his room in season seven or actually when I came on in season six [Daryl] knows that’s like one of the first things we introduce — the little chess piece.

He was banking on that. I think it was a very smart move on Dwight’s part. I don’t know how Daryl ended up finding that. You know, some movie magic involved there. That’s kind of the beauty of that.

Acuna: Their relationship, as you said, it goes back to those chess pieces. One of their first interactions, I think Daryl says to Dwight, “What is that thing there? Give it to me.” And you explained that you carved those with your grandfather. It totally made sense why you left that behind. At the end of the day, I guess it’s Dwight hoping that Daryl would be the one to find it.

dwight wood carvingAMC

Amelio: No one else would catch on to that. If it came across to Rick or anyone else, they’d just f—ing toss it. There’s got to be some sort of chance that Daryl walks past that and notices it.

Acuna: Yeah, it was a sweet moment in the season seven finale to see. Going back to the season eight premiere, it seems pretty safe to say that Dwight is Team Rick or at least team Daryl at this point. From my understanding in the episode, you gave Daryl a note with the locations of Negan’s men to take out. Or am I wrong?

Amelio: It’s a good assumption. I like that.

Acuna: OK. So when Rick show’s up at the Sanctuary and Negan asks what he can do for Rick, he immediately yells out Dwight’s name. For a split second while watching the episode, I thought Rick was going to sell you out. Did you have that feeling at all either while reading the script or …

Amelio: Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. For that split second, my heart sank. And that’s how, I think, they wanted it to play, where it’s like, ‘DWIGHT!’ And then it’s like, ‘Oh, f—.’ But then all of a sudden [Rick] moves on. I love that part.

rick walking dead season 8Gene Page/AMC

Acuna: And Rick, he’s very aggressive in this episode when it comes to the Saviors. He’s not taking any crap. He’s interrupting Negan. Dwight’s really never seen Rick in full-on Ricktatorship mode — ripping people’s throats out and stuff — what is it like for Dwight to see Rick in action here as opposed to him pretty much being the opposite in the season seven premiere?

Amelio: Dwight’s sort of assessing the whole situation out. Where we left off in season seven, he’s going back and forth. He’s really wearing his heart on his sleeve and he’s … I don’t want to give anything away, but he has to make some high-stake decisions.

It’s definitely weighing on Dwight to see this sort of leader take charge and stand up for his group. It’s definitely something Dwight is putting on the backburner in his mind and considering. I think it’s going to help him further his decision-making process, if that makes any sense.

dwight walking dead season 7Gene Page/AMC

Acuna: Yeah. Also, you’re seeing two different leadership styles. Is Dwight questioning at all whether or not Rick may be a little crazy or as crazy as Negan?

Amelio: Crazy in this world … There are so many things involved. I don’t even know where to start off. [Dwight’s] taking everything in. He has some really, really interesting decision-making that he has to do to figure out what he’s going to do.

Dwight, he said at the end of season seven that he hates Negan. He hates him. So, it’s good to see another leader and see what they’re about.

dwight neganGene Page/AMC

Acuna: Well, when we last spoke you said Dwight was kind of putting — to mention the chess pieces again — he was putting his chess pieces in place to come up with some bigger plan to help take Negan out at some point.

Amelio: Yup.

Acuna: Now, Rick’s plan doesn’t totally go according to plan. Negan gets away or Rick let’s him get away. I have to imagine Dwight isn’t too pleased because Negan’s still alive. Isn’t Dwight at all concerned that Negan may suspect him of spying or double-crossing? Dwight’s not looking for that iron to the other half of his face.

Amelio: [Laughter] No, no. I mean, yeah, in this season you see him [Dwight] put everything on the line. He’s fighting out of love for his wife and hate for Negan. When you put those two together, you’re going to make some seriously crazy decisions and hope that he [Dwight] goes for the best.

Acuna: I was thinking, even if Negan does find out Dwight is working with Rick, or if Negan suspects him at all, would Dwight throw someone else under the bus to save his own skin?

Amelio: He’s got a backup plan. No doubt about that.

Acuna: Dwight did feel bad about getting Dr. Carson getting tossed into the oven though last season.

carson negan season 7 TWDGene Page/AMC

Amelio: Yeah, I mean of course. None of that stuff goes without some sort of human emotion. You’re not just completely numb to it even though you’re in that world unless you’re an absolute monster and I don’t think Dwight is.

Acuna: I don’t think so either. You’re helping Rick and the group try to take out Negan.

Amelio: Considering who’s sticking to their values and their morals and trying to be honest? Dwight kind of covers all of that. He really wants to do well. He’s just stuck in a sh—y spot.

Acuna: Exactly. The decisions everyone has made on the show has brought them to the points they’re at now. I want to ask a little bit about Eugene. Does Dwight know or suspect that Eugene had anything to do with Sasha becoming a walker? Or does he even care?

sasha eugene season 7 finaleAMC

Amelio: No, I don’t think he knows that. That was it’s own circumstance and situation. There’s so much going on, but I think he definitely suspects … Their whole relationship is sort of walking on eggshells around each other. Suspect? Sure. They do suspect each other of something, for sure.

Can we be advantageous for each other for something? That’s really Dwight and Eugene’s relationship wrapped up. What the f— can I use this guy for? Dwight knows he’s smart. He’s coming in, he’s already making moves. He’s calling shots. I’ve been through a lot of sh– in order to get where I’m at — climbing the ladder. Here he is just already up there with me. I think Dwight has a problem with that, you know?

Acuna: Yeah. Eugene seems super comfortable listening to the song Easy Street. In contrast, Daryl’s like, get that away from me.

Amelio: Right, right. I loved how they used it. It’s kind of a double meaning. [Eugene] kind of uses it to get pumped up or amped. To me, that song is just absolutely tortuous. It was part of something [Dwight] didn’t want to do. Daryl had to listen to that song. I love the way they use it. It’s really interesting.

Acuna: And now everyone knows that song. On the flip side, does Eugene know you’re helping out Rick? You mentioned that he’s smart. Maybe that’s something down the line we’ll see play out in the season.

eugene dwight bts twd season 7Gene Page/AMC

Amelio: Yeah, I can’t answer any of that, but he would be the first one to sniff it out. I think.

Acuna: I absolutely agree.

Amelio: He definitely puts things together really quickly and he is around me a bunch. We’re in the same vicinity a lot so, yeah, we’ll see what happens.

Acuna: We see a few new characters interact for the first time in this episode like Enid and Jerry. Are there any characters Dwight hasn’t met yet that he would like to interact with?

Amelio: It would be nice to interact with Carol.

Acuna: Why’s that?

Amelio: Just because I haven’t yet and I like Melissa [McBride] as a person. I want to act with her. She’s kind of a lone wolf as well. I feel like they may have something to say to each other.

carol daryl the walking deadGene Page/AMC

Acuna: I think that they definitely have some stuff in common with losing people they love, but I don’t know how Daryl would feel about that.

Amelio: Yeah, he’d probably get a little mad. But that’s all right.

Rafa Benitez on Dwight Gale injury blow and what went wrong against Sheffield Wednesday https://briefnews.eu/rafa-benitez-on-dwight-gale-injury-blow-and-what-went-wrong-against-sheffield-wednesday/ https://briefnews.eu/rafa-benitez-on-dwight-gale-injury-blow-and-what-went-wrong-against-sheffield-wednesday/#respond Sun, 09 Apr 2017 07:14:56 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/rafa-benitez-on-dwight-gale-injury-blow-and-what-went-wrong-against-sheffield-wednesday/

A win would have sent back to the top of the Championship and also put them potentially within three points of sealing promotion back to the Premier League.

But instead completed a league double over Newcastle thanks to second-half headers from Tom Lees and Steven Fletcher.

And a frustrated Benitez said: “It is very disappointing, we didn’t do what we had to today, we made too many mistakes.

“We gave them chances at the beginning. After we started the second half much better we had chances and were on top of them, then we gave a silly foul and gave a goal away from it.

“We didn’t manage the situation the way we have to. We had some chances at the end and their keeper was making saves.

“We have to wake up and be ready for the next game. We have five games to play and we are in a good position. I told the players we are disappointed but we have to go again.”

To make matters worse Magpies’ leading goalscorer Dwight Gayle left the game early with a hamstring injury and Benitez does not yet know the extent of it.

“It is another hamstring injury,” the Spaniard added. “I don’t know how long he will be out, he will need some tests.”

The Walking Dead season 7: Dwight is in BIG trouble with Negan in new teaser clip https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-7-dwight-is-in-big-trouble-with-negan-in-new-teaser-clip/ https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-7-dwight-is-in-big-trouble-with-negan-in-new-teaser-clip/#respond Tue, 21 Feb 2017 09:39:19 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-7-dwight-is-in-big-trouble-with-negan-in-new-teaser-clip/

In a teaser clip from episode 11, Dwight (Austin Amelio) discovers that his prisoner, Daryl (Norman Reedus), has escaped after finding the brutally murdered body of Fat Joey (Joshua Hoover) on the floor.

Dwight slowly puts all of the clues together and eventually works out that with Daryl’s motorbike gone, his prisoner must have escaped.

But if that’s bad for Dwight, his problems are about to get ten times worse as Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) returns back to base.

The tense clip hints at big trouble for Dwight, who has already been punished by his boss who ironed his face in an off-screen moment.

The most recent trailer shows Negan launching a manhunt for the escaped Alexandrian.

If his past actions are anything to go by, the odds are on for who is going to face the Savior leader’s wrath.

It’s therefore a bad time for fan-favourite Eugene (Josh McDermitt) to arrive on base as Negan’s prisoner.

He was taken from Alexandria in the mid-season finale after providing Rosita (Christian Serratos) with a bullet to kill Negan.

With food and bullets scarce in the show’s universe, Eugene’s ability to make ammunition makes him an important pawn.

Meanwhile, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is travelling the surrounding areas to build an army against the Saviors.

He recently formed an alliance with the Scavengers, led by Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) after defeating a spiked walker.

The Walking Dead continues on Monday at 9pm on FOX.
