A popular Russian motoblogger, dubbed the sexiest and most beautiful biker by friends and followers, has died following a road collision with a car.

Olga Petrova, 22, crashed her bike after colliding with the passenger side of a turning car on a Moscow highway on October 13. It’s unclear who was responsible for the crash.

There were reports that the Volvo started turning without warning, while traffic police said Petrova had picked up too much speed on her bike and did not have enough time to slow down to avoid the collision.

She died on the official last day of the biking season in Moscow.

Keeping a blog of her biking activities on Instagram, Petrova’s biking activities attracted more than 63,000 subscribers. Her followers recalled how much she loved her bike and what a beautiful person she was.

An Austrian play about two asylum seekers – a money-motivated man “from Africa” who blundered into an ISIS trap, and an educated Syrian, who flees war – was canceled in Vienna after it was dubbed “the stupidest propaganda.”

The controversial play ‘Welt in Bewegung’ (‘World in Flux’) was due to premiere publicly at the Ethnology Museum (Weltmuseum) in the Austrian capital on Friday. However, the venue decided to scrap the production at the last moment. It had already been staged for some 10,000 children aged between 11 and 17 in Vienna’s schools.

The play tells a story of two asylum seekers in Austria: well-educated Nadim from Syria and money-motivated Mojo, who arrived from somewhere in Africa. For unknown reasons, the writers preferred not to name Mojo’s country of origin. 

The motivations of main characters are shown in sharp contrast. Nadim flees his home country because of the raging war. He works hard to integrate into the Austrian society and studies German. At the end of the play, he receives his award – he is granted asylum.

By contrast, Mojo, who also happens to be a voodoo practitioner, is driven purely by money. He flees his country after watching several YouTube videos that claim refugees in Europe get cars, houses and a hefty sum of €6,000 ($ 7,400). However, his asylum application is rejected and he fails to get easy money. Finally, he falls under the influence of Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIS) and is deported by the Austrian authorities.

There is ultimately a happy ending for Mojo as well, however, as he starts a family and a business in his home country, and escapes the clutches of the terrorists.

Other characters in the play include a couple of sneaky journalists, two racist Austrian women, and a friendly yoga instructor who gives classes to refugees.

The play was commissioned by then-Interior Minister Wolfgang Sobotka from the center-right People’s Party, as well as the International Center for Migration Policy Development, and the Pedagogical Secondary College in Lower Austria. Its author, Edmund Enge, told Oe1 Radio station that some 350 teachers gave “almost exclusively positive critique and reactions from all sides.”

However, the majority of critics didn’t share this enthusiasm for the ‘Welt in Bewegung.’ One unnamed teacher who watched the play said that it had ‘put years of integration in danger.’

“What the play is about is what the ministry ordered. It’s actually not a play, it’s indoctrination supposed to result in thinking the right way,” Gerhard Ruiss, the head of the IG-Autoren writers’ collective, added. 

According to director and political activist Tina Leisch, the Interior Ministry commissioned a “racist, poorly written” play, which turned out to be “the stupidest propaganda.” “It is a rape of what theater or art should be, and that is a call to thought, and not to say, ‘We are the ministry, and we are beating children over the head with our political positions,'” she said.

Interior Ministry spokesman Alexander Marakovits insisted that the play “has nothing to do with propaganda.” “This is just about conveying information,” Marakovits told Oe1. 

The museum explained that the decision to cancel the play was taken when, “after closer examination,” the performance failed to “fit the program concept.”“We are a meeting point for people and cultures, where appreciation and excitement for cultural diversity is transmitted. We fight racism and fear of the foreigner in our museum work,” the statement from the museum said.  

Like many EU states, Austria has been overwhelmed with a huge influx of asylum seekers since the refugee crisis began in 2015. In a desperate attempt to handle the crisis, Vienna doubled cash offers for migrants to leave country back in 2017. It was none other than Sobotka who said that the plan was primarily to target “those who are not likely to be granted the right to long-term residence.”

Although not everybody finds the movie as terrifying as others, the film – inspired by an apparently true story – is picking up plenty of traction.

It’s a Spanish-language production, with subtitles available in English.

But a lot of people have been asking: does a version of the movie exist with an English dub?

As things stand, the answer is no.

There is no official version of Veronica with an English-language dub – so overseas viewers who don’t speak Spanish must follow it with the subtitles.

As for whether or not Hollywood will capitalise on the movie’s success and produce a remake in the years ahead remains to be seen.

Veronica takes its cues from the so-called Vallecas case, which took place in a small suburb in Madrid.

It’s the only police report which is, according to The Sun, marked as “unexplained”.

While Veronica is not a blow-by-blow account of this story, it is heavily inspired by it – and many viewers have called it too scary to even finish.

It’s about a girl who teams up with her sisters to use a Ouija board, but things quickly take a very sinister turn.

The Spanish-language film came out last year, and was dropped on Netflix late last month – where it has quickly gone down as the scariest film of 2018 so far.

It stars Sandra Escacena, Bruna González, Claudia Placer, Iván Chavero, Ana Torrent and Consuelo Trujillo.

Veronica is streaming on Netflix now.

The latest project from Aardman – the studio behind Wallace And Gromit and Chicken Run – has picked up acclaim from most reviewers.

It’s even been dubbed a “Brexit movie” as it gives the stop-motion geniuses another likely hit.

In a four-star review, The Guardian said: “This is a story concerned with Britain’s sense of history and identity. By accident or design, Aardman have made a Brexit movie!”

They added: “Early Man does little to move things on, in evolutionary terms, but – for younger viewers especially – its straightforward storytelling and gentle humour still work a treat.”

Also giving four stars, The Telegraph said: “No frame is wasted, and every scene is crammed with so much casual comic detail, repeat viewings are more or less required.”

The Independent gave three stars, reasoning: “Early Man’s heart is in the familiar, in the irresistible British charm that made Wallace and Gromit a household favourite, in the warm comfort of that which is handmade; things that never fail to feel more personal and beloved in their creation, that seem to take pleasure in small things.”

Radio Times gave four stars, saying: “Early Man finds a place somewhere at the top of Aardman’s evolutionary tree with Chicken Run and Shaun the Sheep.

“Although its conclusion is reliably preordained, that merely slots it into the back of the net alongside any other sports movie.”

The Wrap were more critical, saying Early Man gives the studio a rare dud.

“Overall the movie collapses in a heap of familiarity and lackadaisicalness. Park is an animation legend, but even the greats occasionally whiff it,” they said.

Early Man is out on January 26 in the UK.

The Netflix movie has fared much better with audiences than it did with the press, but David Ayer – who previously helmed Suicide Squad – has taken one particular verdict in good spirits.

David Ehrlich, a writer for IndieWire, called it “the single worst movie of 2017”, and Ayer was so astounded by the passionate criticism that it seems he was more than a little impressed.

He tweeted back: “This is going on my fridge. Highest compliment is a strong reaction either way. 

“This is a f***ing epic review. It’s a big fun movie.”

He added: “You can sure string words together Mr. Erlich. I’d love to read any script you’ve written.”

Ehrlich responded: “you’re a good man, mr. Ayer. i’ll be waiting with fresh eyes for whatever comes next.”

Will Smith leads the cast of the big-budget project, which reportedly cost Netflix $ 90 million and has already been given a sequel.

Co-star Lucy Fry revealed to CNET of her audition with the megastar: “I was speaking gibberish, pretending to pull stuff out of Will’s head and crawling around the room, really crazed.

“At the end, I was like that either went really well or really bad.”

Naomi Rapace and Joel Edgerton also star.

Bright is now streaming on Netflix.

Hull has been dubbed the worst place to live in the North of England by a poll of Britons who are unimpressed by the British town.

A website, which allows UK citizens to vote for the worst towns in England, conducted a poll to deduce the findings.

Hull came second over all, but was the worst town in the North, according to website ILiveHere.co.uk.

Kingston-upon-Hull was dubbed ’s***’ by very honest reviewers on the site.

One local wrote: “I was born and bred in Hull and can honestly say you’re bang on with your description. What a f**king dump this place is.”

Hull has been a notoriously unpleasant place to live for quite some time.

In 2005 and it was dubbed worst by Channel 4’s The Best and Worst Places to Live in the UK. This programme ranked UK towns on crime, education, employment, environment and lifestyle.

However, ILiveHere.com takes a different approach, relying on the testimony of visitors and locals.

A long essay on the site details the various features of the town.

The descriptive piece of prose reads: “Hull is s**t, as confirmed by the smell that lingers around the City Centre.”

The author detailed how they are desperate for their child not to grow up in the area.

They wrote: “I’m now living back in Hull and I have a child of my own, unusually for Hull born in wed-lock. 

“I’m now desperately saving money so I can afford to move out of Hull, I would rather remove my own eyes with a rusty spoon than allow my child to enter the ‘Ull education system.”

However, Dover was voted the very worst town in the 2017 poll.

The port town is known for its white cliffs, but readers of the site believe Dover is, in fact, the worst place in the UK.

Dover played an important role during the Second World War, fighting off various attacks against the UK. However, the site poetically likens the town to an old man’s backside.

The reinstated cheerleaders for an English football team have been dubbed ‘lucky charms’ as they inspired the side to a 3-1 victory over Premier League outfit West Ham.

Billericay Town, who play in the seventh-tier Isthmian League Premier Division, initially hired cheerleading troupe ‘The Ricays’ to bring some glitz and excitement to the Essex-based outfit.

However, manager and owner Glenn Tamplin, a local millionaire businessman, swiftly gave the girls their marching orders after it emerged one had sent her number to a player. He feared the dancers would distract his side from winning promotion to the Football League.

“We have had to let the cheerleaders go as the lads were becoming unfocused and some of the girls (not all) sending their numbers to them.” Tamplin said at the time.

However, the group has since been reinstated as official match day support and made their return in the team’s landmark 3-1 victory over West Ham in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday.

The group performed in front of a record 4,600 crowd at the club’s AGP Arena as Billericay beat ‘The Hammers’, who play Manchester United in their Premier League opener on Sunday.

“It went fantastically and now it means we’re a good luck charm because every time we perform they have an amazing result,” cheerleader manager Bekka Batchelor said, the Star reported.

“The crowd seemed to really respond and we whipped them all up. With any luck we’ll be good motivation to get them coming back to the terraces every week.

“We’d like to think we give the younger girls – who might not all be as keen on the football – something to take an interest in,” she added.

Manager Tamplin may claim most of the credit for the win, having pumped his players for the match with a bizarre “kings of the jungle” speech in which he called his players ‘lions’.

Billericay have already made headlines this summer with the signings with their business in the transfer window. The club managed to pull off several coups including the acquisition of former Liverpool players Paul Konchesky and Jermaine Pennant, the latter of which scored the second goal of the game versus West Ham.

The game also marked the opening of a stand catering for the disabled, named in honor of local boy Harry Parker, who has cerebral palsy.

The young woman took to Twitter to share her experiences of what it is like to fly when overweight.

Her Twitter account called ’Your Fat Friend’ details some of the things that have happened to her over years of flying.

From having to take her own seatbelt extender to how other passengers treat her, it is certainly eye opening.

She urges other travellers to be kinder to overweight fliers in light of this.

Within the thread, posted to Twitter, she explains what she does to prepare to fly as an overweight person.

“I researched airlines for their “customer of size” policies, many of which reserve the right to kick me off the plane, even after boarding.

“The rest require purchase of a second seat. If I don’t buy one in advance, I’ll be charged the day-of price. Today, that’s $ 800 one way.

“I brought my own seatbelt extender, so I wouldn’t have to ask for one. Sometimes my extender is confiscated by the TSA. Today it wasn’t.”

She states she is in constant fear that she could be stranded, as many policies don’t offer refunds or rebookings.

It’s not just the preparation, but how others react to her.

She continues: “Passengers complaining to flight attendants will get me reseated, charged double, or escorted off the plane, stranded without a way home.

“Over the last 2 yrs, about 50% of passengers in my row complained about me. So, my body is regularly discussed in my presence without my input.

“And no matter what happens, if someone complains, my body will be discussed loudly, with open revulsion, without regard for who hears it.”

She explains some of her previous experiences, with one man angrily moving away from her due to her location in the middle seat.

“I didn’t fly for a year and a half after that. Refused travel for work, didn’t see my family, only travelled where I could drive,” she wrote.

By the end of the thread, she hopes that it inspires others to be a bit kinder to other passengers.

A passenger once sued an airline after he complained an obese passenger ruined the flight.

He was flying from South Africa to Dubai and stated that the man spilled into his seat, causing discomfort.

However, the outcome of the case was not disclosed.

Authorities have deemed the incident “a disaster.”

Stearns County Sheriff Don Gudmundson of Eden Valley is calling it “domestic terrorism.” The FBI has joined the investigation and have concluded that an exterior fence was dismantled in three spots by more than one person at Lang Farm, according to the St. Cloud Times.

Eden Valley is roughly 75 miles (120 kilometers) northwest of Minneapolis.

The crime took place between 10:30pm Sunday and 5:30am Monday. The business is saying it lost $ 750,000 dollars due to the released mink, according to KUSA.

The farm has 32 barns and around 38,000 mink lived in 20,000 cages, the SC Times reported.

According to the sheriff, hundreds of the furry critters have already died in the area, according to the Washington Post.

Evidence suggests the vandals parked about half a mile away from the farm on a township road. They then released the mink from their cages.

In most cases, domesticated mink will not survive in the wild due to the lack of natural survival skills. The ones that do survive could negatively affect the wildlife they interact with, Gudmundson said, according to KUSA.

Gudmundson noted the area the mink have been released into and pointed to the vicious nature of the small animal. He said they had been set free near a wildlife management area and on Tuesday morning, a large number lot of the mink had died already due to heat, stress and lack of water. Gudmundson believes that 10 chickens that were killed nearby probably died because of the mink.

“It’s a disaster,” he said.

The sheriff called out animal rights activists whom he suspects are the perpetrators.

“If they (perpetrators) actually cared about animals they wouldn’t release thousands of mink to die out in the heat. We’ve already got reports of chickens killed. Don’t they care about God’s chickens?” the Post reported.

On Monday the FBI arrived on the scene. There were no security cameras in the area to help with the investigation, though. “This isn’t going to be easy,” Gudmundson said, KUSA reported.

Some have cited the effect on the ecosystem. However, a local environmental expert, Fred Bengston, who is an area wildlife manager for the Sauk Rapids Department of Natural Resources office, said, “we’re not anticipating any long-term significant impact.”

“They’re dependent on people,” Bengston said. “The odds of most of them making it, even in the summertime, is not too high.”
